It was a quick match. Nothing too serious. Prospector, Mercenary, "Prisoner" And Seer were selected as a team for this match.
As the match started, Brooke flew around the chilly lakeside looking for Eli's other teammates.
"Looks like it's Norton's favourite map this time" Eli hummed as he saw The Ripper from quite a distance from him as he hurried to the nearest cipher to start decoding. He was often comfortable with this team as Luca and Norton would kite most of the game. Naib was always there to rescue in case any of them get chaired. Eli always had a peaceful match when these three were around him although sometimes Luca doesn't feel too good and he'll take over to kite. Eli enjoyed supporting his friends and Brooke was more than happy to help his owner.
"The hunter is near me!" Eli heard as Norton pinged all of the. Looks like Luca managed to hide until the hunter found Norton first. The sound of the ciphers connecting was heard. "Ah, Luca chose to connect with me" Eli continued decoding, doing his calibrations without any problems.
Meanwhile... With Norton.
"We meet again Jack!" Norton was kiting next to the big boat. "I just happened to be unable to find that rat." Jack sighed. "I'll leave you. I rather go find that pesty decoder first." Norton grinned and threw a magnet to attract Jack to the nearest object. "Not on my watch."
Norton... Being the prospector he is. Ended up leading Jack into the big boat. His favourite kiting spot. We could all say that Jack got angry and ended up getting a flat hat.
4 ciphers had popped and Luca was decoding the last cipher. Norton has pinged "Help me!" And that was Eli's queue. He sent Brooke to spectate Norton. Through Brooke's eyes, he could see the prospector injured from getting a hit. Norton was unable to dodge one hit and he got downed. Eli immediately pinged "Sorry" As he failed to support Norton. Eli started to feel guilty as he was unable to protect his friend. Now incapitated and ballooned. He knew he had to apologise after the match was over.
Naib pinged "Don't move. I'm coming!" And immediately started running to rescue Norton. That was when Eli knew he had to redeem himself by sending an owl when Naib was rescuing to be able to body block for Norton. After the successful rescue, "Focus on decoding!" Was yelled loudly by Naib and Norton as they both were trying to stall time for Eli and Luca to open the exit gate. The last cipher was popped, everyone started dashing their seperate ways. Luca running to the gate cornfield while Eli was opening the gate by the boat. With Luca helping Eli open the gate, both gates opened quickly.
After the final cipher popped, Jack teleported to Luca's gate. Before Luca could enter the opened exit gate, Jack was next to him. It gave him quite a fright but he quickly regained composure to lead the hunter away. Luca started kiting the hunter with detention, gaining Terrain Master during it.
Eli sat down inside the exit gate to spectate his friends, making sure they all escaped quickly. Naib knew Eli was watching him so he ran towards the gate Eli had opened. Norton following behind him. Norton quickly ran ahead to go scare Eli that was focusing on the mercenary. Soon, Norton reached the exit gate first to see the seer curled up by the corner, clearly not paying attention to his surroundings. Norton attached a magnet onto him and waited for Naib to arrive.
Naib ran into the exit gate and Brooke flew back to Eli to perch on his shoulder. Just to be welcome with Norton attracting his body to the taller man. "Norton! When did you come here?"
"I was here for quite some time already. You were just too busy watching Naib." Norton perked his lips out to fake a pout.
"I'm so sorry for not being able to send Brooke to you earlier.. It caused you to get injured." Eli grabbed onto the hem of his robes, looking down while feeling extremely guilty.
"Hey! It's alright. I'm still walking thanks to Naib" Norton slapped an arm on to Naib's back.
"Yeah. Yeah. That hurt. Now can we get out now? Luca wants to get out from the dungeon." Naib rubbed his back in pain and started walking out first.
"Don't be like that Naib~ Let's walk out together since none of us flew away" Norton grabbed Eli's hand and started walking behind Naib.
"Let's all go back and tell the others we did great." Eli smiled as they exited the gate together.
Luca running towards the dungeon after his teammates have left. "Well Jack, it's your loss today. You could've come after me first but you let Norton hurt your feelings. We'll meet again!" Luca quickly gave Jack a stun before hoping into the dungeon.
"Let's have another great game next time, survivors."
