Shu Yi loved kissing. He loved kissing Shi De, in particular, even with no goal in sight, just lazily spread out on his bed and kissing lazily. They were supposed to be studying, but they had pushed the textbooks off the bed a while ago.
Pulling back, Shu Yi peered down at his boyfriend. Because they were dating. All of their friends knew, and so did Shi De’s mother. The only person that didn’t was father, which was for the better.
Shi De’s lips were swollen, pink and slick from the kissing. Despite it, he stared at him like he was a starved man and Shu Yi was his only salivation, like he could never get enough. A small shiver ran down his spine as he remembered the things he’d been researching lately, or the dreams that had started a few nights ago.
“Hey,” broke through his thoughts, spoken softly. Shi De’s hand moved down his side. His touch was like pure fire, even through his shirt. Shu Yi blinked once. “You blacked out for a second there.”
Shu Yi opened his mouth, a teasing retort on his tongue, but then stopped himself, biting the inside of his cheek. Shi De hadn’t tried once to move things beyond kissing. Maybe he didn’t even want the things he found himself wanting.
“What do you think about?” he blurted, clutching the front of Shi De’s shirt in his hands.
Shi De raised both eyebrows as his hands settled on his waist, like it was the most natural place in the world for them to be. Shu Yi tried to ignore the heat in the pit of his stomach, focusing instead on Shi De’s mouth as he answered, “What do you mean?”
Of course. Shu Yi sighed, glaring at the corner of his mouth, too embarrassed to meet his gaze.
“When you’re kissing me,” he grumbled.
He should’ve expected Shi De’s laugh, he supposed, predicted the rumble of his body underneath him. “Do you really have to ask?” he finally got out through the laughter, eyes crinkling.
Shu Yi flushed, cheeks warm. “Well, I mean, I- ” he stammered. He only stopped his embarrassing stammering once Shi De ran his hands up his sides. Another pleasant shiver ran down his spine and this time he knew Shi De felt it by the slow stretch of his mouth.
“Shh,” his eyes sparkled. “I can show you,” he said, unexpectedly soft, “but no pressure.”
Shu Yi blinked slowly, not quite understanding, but his curiosity was a persistent thing, and he trusted Shi De an embarrassing amount, so he nodded. Shi De was still smiling slightly as he shifted underneath him and pressed up.
It was only when he felt the press of Shi De’s erection, buffered by their clothes but still undeniable, that all the pieces clicked together and his eyes widened.
“Oh.”
Shi De had the decency to look at least a little sheepish finally as he nodded, that small smile still plastered to his face. “No pressure,” he repeated. Reaching up, he gently brushed a thumb across his jaw. Shu Yi barely even realized he was holding his breath. “I don’t need more than this,” his voice was a whisper. “Ever.”
And the thing was, Shu Yi believed him.
“But- ” Shu Yi swallowed around the lump in his throat. “What if I want the same thing?”
Now it was Shi De’s turn to blink owlishly. For a long moment they were both silent, staring at each other like idiots. Finally Shi De broke the silence with a small choked laugh. “You are going to be the death of me,” he mumbled.
Shu Yi grinned slyly. “There are worse ways to go,” he said with a shrug, and Shi De laughed again, loud and shameless. Thankfully his mother wasn’t home, or due to be back for a few hours.
“Okay,” Shi De said once his laughter had subsided for the most part. He gently patted Shu Yi’s side. “Off.”
Not exactly the development he had been hoping for, or expecting, but Shu Yi slid off from on top of him easily. Side by side, he watched as Shi De adjusted himself in his jeans, which was- both funny, and unfairly hot. Shu Yi forced his gaze to linger on a safer choice, like his nose. Noses weren’t hot, not even a little bit.
“Have you ever done this before?”
Shu Yi startled, blinking. “Um. What part, exactly?”
Which was a stupid question because Shu Yi hadn’t really done anything, and considering he had been Shi De’s first kiss, he assumed he was in the same boat.
“Any of it,” he replied.
Shu Yi clicked his tongue. “Stupid. You know the answer to that.” A brief pause. “Neither have you, right?”
“Mhm,” he confirmed, wiggling closer. Shu Yi’s chest felt like it was going to burst suddenly, but weirdly he didn’t mind the sensation. “We should start slow then,” he said, voice low. “No reason to rush.”
He thought about pointing out he’d be leaving for America soon but he wasn’t nearly dumb enough to ruin the mood. Anyway if they never actually did it, it was something they could look forward to when he returned. The idea made his heart beat a little faster.
“I’ve been researching- ” he began, because it was true, but he was cut off by Shi De’s laugh as he reached out and dragged him even closer.
Pressed together like this, he could feel the shape of Shi De’s erection more clearly than before, and he wasn’t sure which part of the situation was doing it for him, or if it was a mixture of everything, but he was slowly growing hard too.
“What?” he squeaked then cleared his throat. “Neither of us exactly have experience.”
Shi De hummed, “I think,” he said slowly, “for now we can just do what we feel is right.”
“Easy for you to say,” he replied with pursed lips. “I’m pretty sure if you touch me my brain will stop working.”
Of course Shi De grinned wildly at that. Shu Yi felt vaguely like prey under the weighted gaze of a predator, but he had no urge to run for safety. Quite the opposite, actually. “How about we test your theory?” he asked, pressing his hand to the front of Shu Yi’s chest. He kept it there, unmoving, obviously waiting.
Shu Yi took in a shaky breath. “Okay,” he said. Shi De’s hand started a slow descent downward and he moved quickly, catching his wrist before he reached the waistband of his pants. “Wait,” his voice was a pitch too high. “The, um, the light.”
“Hm?” He peered at him from under his eyelashes.
Of course he’d make him say it, the bastard. Shu Yi pressed his lips together tightly. “Shouldn’t we turn it off?”
“Why would we do that?” he questioned with a wicked grin. “Then I wouldn’t be able to see you.”
Shu Yi narrowed his eyes. “You are the absolute worst,” he grumbled, but Shi De’s grin softened a little around the edges as he began to move his hand again, sliding just the tip of a finger under the waistband of his pants. The small touch of skin to skin made him shiver.
“If you want it off, we can,” he mumbled, “but I’m not just teasing. I really would like to be able to see you.”
Shu Yi sniffed. “Absolutely the worst,” he confirmed before ducking in and kissing him. The kiss started slow and lazy, like their earlier ones, before turning filthier. Shu Yi was so distracted by the slide of their lips, familiar already, that he barely registered when Shi De had finally gotten his pants and underwear shoved down.
Pulling back, he pressed a hand to his chest.
“Wait, wait,” he breathed. Shi De raised an eyebrow. “Your turn.”
Shi De simply smiled as he nodded, wiggling back just enough to give him room. Shu Yi ignored the heavy thump of his heart as he reached down, not daring to look, using his hand to feel around and unbutton Shi De’s jeans, pushing them down in one swift motion.
“You know you’ll eventually have to look,” he said with obvious amusement, eyes twinkling.
Shu Yi wrinkled his nose. “I think I’m doing just fine so far,” he replied confidently.
“Mmm,” Shi De’s hand was slightly cool against his hip, goosebumps blooming across his skin. “Can I touch you?”
He rolled his eyes. “You already are.”
“Okay, brat,” Shi De’s laugh was fond. “I’m taking that as permission.”
Shu Yi held his breath as Shi De’s hand moved across his hip, slow, slow, until his fingertips finally grazed over the sensitive skin of his cock. Shuddering, he still didn’t dare look.
He continued to touch him lightly, experimentally, until his confidence seemed to grow and he took him firmly in his hand. Shu Yi bit the inside of his cheek at the first proper stroke of Shi De’s hand; he wondered idly if he was touching him like he touched himself and the thought nearly made him see stars.
They were definitely not going all the way anytime soon at this rate.
“I- ” Shu Yi swallowed. “I should touch you too.”
Shi De had moved closer at some point, face buried in the crook of his neck. “Don’t bother,” he muttered, and before Shu Yi could say anything, he was pressing their cocks together, taking them both in his hand; surely it would’ve been better with some lube, but they could think of that later. Shu Yi was pretty sure his face must’ve been on fire. Shi De kept grunting, low and muffled against the skin of his neck; every sound sent pure desire coursing through Shu Yi’s veins. How did people do this without dying?
“You’re close, right?” whispered against his ear. Shu Yi didn’t even bother to ask how he knew, just nodded jerkily. “Good.” A kiss pressed to neck, his ear, his jaw. Shi De pulled back and smiled coyly. “Are you gonna watch?”
Shu Yi let out a strangled laugh. “Seriously?” he asked, breathless. “Can you not be- ” Shi De’s hand tightened, and he bit back a growl. “Be normal for one second?”
“Fine,” he replied breezily, “I’ll watch on my own,” and then glanced down. Shu Yi made a disbelieving noise in the back of his throat.
He knew what he was doing, and yet he had never been one to back down from a challenge. Slowly he peered down between them. The sight was like a punch to his gut, so unexpected he didn’t have time to suppress the wounded sound that ripped out of him before he spilled all over Shi De’s hand. The bastard had the nerve to grin before he came as well.
*
Shu Yi’s limbs felt like jelly. He was pretty sure he would never move again. He still couldn’t quite comprehend how Shi De had managed to get up after just a few seconds of rest. He hadn’t even had the energy to ask him where he was going.
When he returned a couple minutes later, he was still grinning. “Here,” he said and Shu Yi shivered at the first touch of a washcloth to his skin, cool and damp with water.
“How are you still,” Shu Yi gestured lazily with his hand and then sighed. “Functioning?”
Shi De finished cleaning him off before tossing the washcloth to the side. Shu Yi resisted the urge to point out he needed to change his sheets too, just accepting the warmth as Shi De snuggled up to him. “Guess we’ll have to keep trying new things,” he muttered into his hair. Shu Yi barely suppressed the urge to shiver.
“You are a menace,” he said flatly. “Does your mother know that?”
Shi De nosed his bangs out of the way and quickly kissed his forehead. “She did raise me.”
“Poor woman,” he replied instantly, and laughed wildly when Shi De reached for his sides and began to tickle him. “Fine, fine,” he said through the tears, “I’m sorry.” Shi De’s hands paused in their assault, eyeing him closely. “You are not a menace.”
Shi De grinned, pleased, and wiggled closer again. “Oh, no, I am,” he said, brushing his lips across his jaw, “but you shouldn’t say it.”
“I- ” Shu Yi let out one last burst of laughter before shaking his head and burying his face in Shi De’s shoulder.
