Chapter Text
[inside an abandoned warehouse somewhere in Tokyo, October 22nd, 11pm]
"Enough", you hissed through your teeth, causing your blue-haired accomplice to stop immediately. He gave you a disappointed look, not daring to talk back to you. "Good work, boys. Let's go get a drink", you proposed, finding approval from the three men in front of you.
"What are we gonna do with him?", one of them asked, pointing to the man in the chair which the blue-haired has just finished torturing. His nails are ripped off and the pain was written all over his face. "You can kill him, Suguru", you said quietly, your words followed by a gunshot.
[Public Security Intelligence Agency special taskforce headquarters Tokyo, October 25th, 2pm ]
"What do you mean he is missing?", he said in disbelief. "I mean exactly what I just said", the other man responded. "They got one of the executive architects responsible for the auction house". "Them? You sure?", he asked concerned. "It would make sense, wouldn't it? The next auction is in a month". The other man shrugged. "Call the boss. We have to prepare countermeasures immediately", he ordered as he quickly left the headquarters. This really was his worst case scenario.
[inside a bar in Tokyo, November 21st, 10pm]
"Suguru. Mahito. Choso. It's time. Tomorrow will be our day", you said lifting your drink. The four of you clinked your glasses before downing your drinks.
Mahito let out a happy sigh. "Look at us", he grinned. "Sitting here in a bar like four righteous civilians. Do you think people associate us with some of the most wanted criminals in Japan when they see us?", he imitated a thinking pose.
"I swear to God, Mahito, if you don't lower your voice I will rip your limbs off". You gave him a stern look while grabbing his arm firmly. He whined.
"That's why I've never agreed on recruiting Mahito", Choso sighed. "I agree. It was your idea, cap", Suguru uttered. Mahito pouted. "You're so mean, I might just quit".
You downed another drink. "I need a few more shots to say what I'm about to say, hold on", you murmured and ordered three more shots.
You slowly started feeling dizzy, not being able to comprehend all the words you heard anymore. You should definitely get yourself under control. Tomorrow would be your biggest coup so far. The four of you have decided to break into Japan's biggest auction for Emerging Science and Innovation to assassin a bunch of corrupt businessmen. Everything went perfect so far. By kidnapping and torturing one of the executive architects, you managed to get the security plans along with a floor plan of the building.
"Listen, Mahito", you rose to speak, immediately drawing the attention of the three men back to you. "You're useful. You do your job properly, we definitely need you, k?", you said under your breath. Suguru and Choso began to laugh.
"Yeah, cap. Definitely no more drinks for you". Suguru struggled containing his laughter. "What did you say, boss? I couldn't hear you", Mahito grinned. "Don't make me repeat myself, brat", you hissed. Should've just stayed quiet.
Mahito let out a whistle. "When did you become so hot?". His grin intensified causing Choso to shake his head and Suguru to burst out into laughter again. "Shut up", you countered, trying to stop yourself from smiling.
-
Mahito and Choso already left half an hour ago so you and Suguru were the only ones of you four remaining at the bar. "We should leave, cap. Tomorrow is our big day", Suguru said. He was clearly drunk, but he knew how to hide it.
It turned out that your so-thought last drink hadn't stayed your last. After Mahito and Chousou left, you and Suguru started killing a whole bottle by yourself.
"It's fine, Suguru. You can already go ahead, I will just use the bathroom real quick", you said trying to sound more or less sober. You didn't want your oldest friend to see you like this. He was around for at least five years now and he already saw you at your worst moments, but you still felt uncomfortable losing control around him. You felt like a hypocrite who let their guard down. Maybe because you were his boss after all.
"Alright, cap. Stay safe. See ya tomorrow", Suguru responded not asking for further reasons. He definitely understood how uncomfortable you felt. You waited until he left the bar until you tried standing up, your legs immediately collapsing. "Fuck", you mumbled. This was the reason why you wanted Suguru to leave first.
You slowly stood up making your way to the bathroom. Constant 'Excuse me's left your mouth as you were bumping into the surrounding people.
"My, my", you heard someone saying. Before you could notice it, a man with white hair prevented you from collapsing. "Drank a little too much, huh?", he smirked. "Asshole", you hissed, "Let me go". No response. "I told you to le-", you began just to be interrupted.
"What are you doing, Gojo? Let her go", you heard a stern male voice from behind you. The man called Gojo instantly released his grip. The gaze of a man, around 6ft with blond hair and weird glasses met your eyes when you turned around. He looked oddly hot.
"Come on, Nanami. I was just trying to help", he pouted. "I don't want your help, motherfucker", you replied giving him a nerved look. Nanami shook his head.
"That's why I don't like going out with you in public". Gojo played shocked. "Nanami, that's so rude of you!", he exaggerated.
Since you've calmed down, you've decided to skip the bathroom and straight up headed out of the bar before this Gojo-guy could say another word. As you leaned against the cold stone wall lighting your cigarette, you let out a little laugh. The dynamic of the two men you've just met was beyond your understanding. Your thoughts drifted to the auction tomorrow. You four have been planning everything in detail for about a month now. You smiled and sighed into Tokyo's clouded night sky, taking another blow of your cigarette as you watched the cars speeding past you.
"You probably shouldn't smoke after drinking so much", you heard a male voice saying. "You probably shouldn't tell me what I should or should not do", you responded, eyes still focussed on the street in front of you. You knew it was Nanami anyways, you recognized his voice from earlier. There was no need to give him unnecessary attention. You felt your cigarette being pulled out of your mouth.
"You know, I don't like the way you talk to me right now", he said as he stubbed out your cigarette on his hand before throwing it away, everything while holding your gaze. For a moment, you felt a second pulse in your pussy.
"What happened to Mr. Nice-Guy?", you asked mustering him as he comes closer. "I have no interest in being nice to brats", he whispered in your ear. You didn't know what it was but something about him really turned you on causing your heartbeat to become faster.
"You know", he continued, "I just wanted to help you and look how rude you're being". He pulled away from your ear, staring right into your eyes.
"You sound like that Gojo-guy". You accidentally let out a little laugh before instantly stopping yourself. No need to become all friendly with him.
Nanami lifted your chin up with his thumb, forcing you to look at him. He was so close. His index met your jawline looking for your pulse. "Your heart is beating a little fast, don't you think?", he purred.
Asshole. He was right. Your sexual desire was probably fueled by the alcohol, but that didn't change that you were sexually frustrated for quite a while now. You turned away, too ashamed to answer. Nanami turned your chin towards him, softly caressing your bottom lip with his thumb. You pressed your legs together, hoping that he wouldn't notice. He let out a deep little laugh.
"Don't worry", he said and left.
You stood there and watched him as he left, too irritated to say something. What on earth was that? Don't worry. What a weird man. Maybe it was better that you didn't get involved with him after all.
"NA-NA-MI", you heard a voice from behind you. Not him again, you thought. Gojo rushed past you without noticing you. Him leaving you alone caused you to let out a relieved sigh to which he suddenly turned around.
"Ah, the lady from earlier!", he said excited. "What are you still doing here? I thought you left a while ago". Well, this was awkward now.
Before you could answer, you heard someone clearing their throat from the direction Gojo was heading to. You didn't even notice Nanami approaching you two. That was odd, considering the fact that you were a professional assassin with trained hearing. He was definitely a shady guy. Once again, you were glad that you've managed to stay away from him.
Gojo started staring forth and back between you and Nanami before letting out a surprised "OOH". "No", you instantly said.
You quickly glanced at your watch. 2am. You should really get going. When you overheard the two men talking again, you saw your chance and quietly left the scene.
After being out of range, you checked your phone. As someone who 'earned' a high spot on the Japanese blacklist, you could never be cautious enough. Not that anyone knew your identity anyway. The cops had basically nothing. No names, no idea of your appearance. You four were phantoms of the underground, a mystery for the PSIA. Idols for criminals, nightmares for cops. You laughed as you dialed Suguru's number and lit up another cigarette. Tomorrow was going to be fun.
