The last place omega Izuku Midoriya wants to go is a party at the Alpha House, an all male, all alpha dorm. Little does he know he’ll run into alpha Katsuki Bakugou, the biggest crush and worst bully of his middle school years. How will Izuku handle it when their friend groups merge and he’s forced to see Kacchan every time he visits the Alpha House?

Chapter 1: Party at the Alpha House

Chapter Text

“Ochaco.” Izuku Midoriya whined, big green doe eyes staring at his best friend. "Why do we have to go to a party at the alpha house? It's literally the worst."

"Shut up, Izuku!" the petite fellow omega laughed and smacked his arm.

"Ow!" Izuku pouted, rubbing his freckled arm."What was that for?"

"Don't tell me you don't want to go to that alpha house and check it out."

"Gross, no way. I picked Utopia for a reason!"

They were first-year university students in their first month of school. Utopia was their college dorm, where all primary and secondary genders could live together as a community. Izuku wanted to meet all kinds of people, and the others in his dorm were open-minded and progressive. In his corridor was Ochaco, one other omega named Mina, two alphas, Shoto and Tenya, and two betas, Tsuya and Shinsou.

Other than Utopia, there was a dormitory for only omegas of all primary genders, usually because their parents didn't want them in mixed company; Izuku was way too adventurous. The dorms continued this way: an all beta house (nothing exciting ever happened there!), a female-only omega house and so on.

And then there was the Alpha House. It made Izuku wrinkle his freckled nose to think of it. A house for all-male alphas. Izuku called it "toxic masculinity corner." Had he ever stepped foot in there? Not. But he imagined it as absolutely reeking of pheromones, gym socks, bad cologne and beer. He had less than zero interest in going anywhere near it. But, there was a toga party that night, and Mina had a high school friend at the Alpha House, so she invited them to the party with her. Ochaco was super excited, and the rest of their little group was neutral.

"I bet there are some super hot alphas there. You've been single way too long." she giggled, and Izuku rolled his eyes.

"Sure, gym rats and future CEOs. Yawn."

Yet somehow, it was the night of the party, and Izuku found himself in his dorm room with all of his friends, being expertly wrapped in his toga by Mina and Ochaco, who were both giggling and babbling a mile a minute, Mina's strawberry scent mixing with Ochaco's vanilla custard. His roommate, Shinsou, was lying on his bed watching a movie with headphones on, having less than zero interest in hanging out with "Neanderthal Alphas."

"We need to put on extra blockers. This party is just an unwanted advance waiting to happen." Izuku said anxiously.

"We will protect you!" their alpha friend, Tenya, announced, chopping his hand through the air. "Stay close to Todoroki and me!"

"Thanks, guys. I'm not scared, though. I can protect myself against any alpha. I don't want to deal with it." Izuku puffed himself up to his 5'3 highest and pouted at his new friends.

"Of course." Todoroki smiled softly and released a soft peppermint scent. Izuku felt instantly comforted and almost purred but then grabbed ahold of himself.

"Ah! Blockers, now" he ran to his desk and grabbed a box of the transdermal patches, sticking them on his neck and wrists, and passed some to his friends. They wouldn’t completely block their scent but mute it to the point where it smelled like a slight bit of cologne.

"Sorry Izuku." Todoroki flushed as he sheepishly applied the patch to his neck.

"No, you're good! I know you were comforting me!" Izuku smiled and patted his friend on the shoulder.

"Let's go!" Mina squealed, and she and Ochaco fist-pumped the air. They were wearing pink togas, matching Mina's pink skin and hair and Ochaco's pink cheeks.

Ochaco grabbed Mina and Tsuya by the hands and ran out the door, followed by Tenya and Todoroki.

Izuku glanced at Shinsou, "You sure you don't want to join us?"

Shinsou removed his headphones and deadpanned, "I'd rather set myself on fire." before returning to his movie.

As the friends approached the Alpha House, an imposing Tudor-style house with a large A over the door, they could hear the music pumping. The party spilled out onto the lawn, and everywhere they looked were muscular alphas in togas and many omegas fawning over them. Everyone was not wearing blockers, and the cloying smell of sexual attraction almost gagged Izuku.

"Follow me!" Mina said, "Eijirou's room is on the first floor. You guys are going to love him."

Izuku was nervous, but he trusted Mina. Hence, they followed her into the building, Tenya glaring through his glasses at anyone who dared look at the omegas lasciviously.

"Here it is!" Mina said with excitement as they approached a room with the words "The Den of Manliness" scrawled on a whiteboard on the door.

"That is NOT a good sign." Izuku muttered as Ochaco elbowed him in the side.

The door swung open into a room with two bunk beds, and a huge alpha with bright red hair spiked into horns grinned at them with sharp teeth. Izuku tried not to stare at his bare chest; he only wore a small cloth around his waist instead of a toga.

"Mina-girl!" he bellowed, wrapping the tiny pink omega in a huge hug.

"Kiri!" she squealed and hugged him back.

"Guys, this is my best friend, Eijirou Kirishima! We've been friends since middle school. Kiri, this is Izuku, Ochaco, Tenya, Tsuya and Shoutou."

"Awesome to meet you guys! You're almost in time for beer pong!" Kirishima smiled. Izuku had to admit he seemed like a nice and friendly alpha. His muted cinnamon scent was inviting, and Izuku was happy to see he was wearing blockers.

"Hey man; aren't you going to introduce us?" two slightly smaller but still very muscular alphas in matching "waist togas" appeared behind Kirishima.

"Ah yeah, everyone, this is Denki and Hanta." Kirishima wrapped his arms around their shoulders and hugged the two.

"Hey!! Welcome!!" the smaller blonde, Denki, grinned. "Ah, want some snacks? We got chips, cheezies, uhh..." the friends made their way into the room and chatted lightly with the alphas. Izuku found himself relaxing a little, nothing to worry about in here, these guys were nice and friendly, and he felt a little bad for stereotyping them...

"Is that... Deku?" a rough, deep voice suddenly asked, and Izuku felt the blood freeze in his body.

"Whoa, what's up?" Ochaco whispered in his ear as he couldn't help but release a distressing scent. His alpha friends couldn't help but find themselves at either side of the omega, instinctively wanting to protect him but not knowing why. Even with the blockers, alphas could sense real distress.

Izuku gulped and looked over to the desk where he hadn't previously noticed a stunningly gorgeous blonde alpha with piercing red eyes hunched over some textbooks. The alpha glared at him, and Izuku couldn't believe it.

"K-Kacchan?" he stuttered. His worst nightmare -- the middle school bully he had a huge crush on was sitting right in front of him. Katsuki - or Kacchan as Izuku had always called him - had been Izuku's closest childhood best friend until they presented in middle school. Then Kacchan had become the worst and most toxic type of male alpha, turning his nose up at his omega and beta classmates, especially Izuku. It was like one day he suddenly couldn't stand to be anywhere near Izuku, curling his lip in disgust anytime the omega was nearby, calling him useless Deku and laughing at him with his other horrible alpha friends. Izuku hadn’t seen him again as he left to go to an all-male alpha high school and unsurprisingly had ended up in this dorm. Katsuki and his friends had been the reason Izuku was so against toxic alpha behaviour. He was the worst sort of alpha -- and here he was, roommates with a mutual friend.

"Aw, wow, you know our Bakubro?" grinned Kirishima, coming over to the blonde. "Has he always hated fun?"

"Um..." Izuku found himself at a rare loss for words and flushed. "I-I wouldn't know. We weren't that close." Not exactly true -- they had played together and collected All Might comics together and had sleepovers in the backyard under the stars -- until their secondary genders presented.

Ochaco, ever the best friend, could sense his discomfort. "How about that beer pong?" she grinned, and all of the other alphas in the room cheered. "It's down the hall in my bro Tetsu's room; let's go!" Kirishima announced, so they all filed out of Kirishima's room. Izuku followed them, feeling Katsuki's eyes on him as he headed toward the door.

"Deku." the deep voice behind him repeated.

Izuku sighed and turned around despite his uncomfortable feelings.

"What is it?"

Kacchan stared at him with narrowed eyes. Izuku noticed he had the black extra strength blockers on his neck and wrists. Even so, the smoky smell that drove him crazy as a young teen wafted his way, and Izuku felt himself flushing. Damn Kacchan. He was literally the worst, and Izuku hated that he still felt attracted to him five years later.
It was even worse because Katsuki had lost the almost pretty baby face and was now all sharp angles and muscles; pure alpha.

Katsuki rubbed the top of his nose and sighed. "How -- what are you studying?" he asked awkwardly.

Izuku frowned. "Were you going to ask how a useless Deku got into UA? I'll have you know I was top of my graduating class at my high school." Izuku hated how whiny his voice sounded and how the sexy alpha reduced him back to a crushing 14-year-old again.

"No! Tch. Never mind, go back to your beer pong." Katsuki turned back to his papers, broad shoulders hunched defensively around himself.

Izuku sighed. "Whatever. I don't want any trouble. Have fun studying or whatever."

Izuku left the room, closing the door behind him. He shook his head and tried to clear his mind of any thoughts about Katsuki Bakugou.

"Hey, Izuku! Over here!" Mina waved. She was standing in the hallway with Kirishima and an alpha with silver hair that looked exactly like him. All three were sucking back beer from red cups as if it were oxygen.

"Yo, I'm Tetsu. See that room there?" A wobbly Tetsu pointed to a door across the hall from where he was standing. An innocent-looking sign with purple happy faces and the words "Omegas always welcome" hung on the door. "Stay the fuck away from that room, man. Some complete perv lives there, and you do not want to go there, trust me." Izuku shuddered and moved away from the door closer to Mina.

"What do you think so far?" she smiled at him. He could tell she was having a great time, standing between two nice, handsome alphas, but the presence of Kacchan threw off Izuku. He thought of Kacchan, sitting there studying on a Friday night while his entire dorm was partying their brains out. He was always competitive about grades, even as a young kid, so it wasn’t surprising.

"Ah, it's okay, I guess..." Izuku trailed off.

"You need a drink, dude! Come into Tetsu's room for some beer pong; his roomies are super chill."

Izuku followed the three of them into the room where a bunch of alphas, including Todoroki and some other alphas, were gathered around a small ping pong table while the beds were pushed up against the wall to make room. Todoroki was gazing seriously at the table as if he were trying to memorize it. Tenya was beside him, red-faced as Tsu was hanging off his arm. She and Ochaco had had a few too many drinks while getting ready, and Tsu had a really low tolerance level.

"Hey Midoriya, want to play?" Todoroki asked, smiling a little at the sight of his friend.

"Sure!" the omega smiled and rolled up his sleeves, grinning. He noticed a few of the House alphas' eyes dart to his wrists, and flick guiltily away. He rolled his eyes internally. "Classic toxic alphas. Can't keep their noses away from a scent gland."

As the night progressed, Izuku realized that he sucked at beer pong. He wasn't used to drinking, as he had it in his mind that he wouldn't drink until drinking age, which had been in the summer right before college. Therefore his tolerance was almost non-existent.

The room swayed a bit, and Mina's friend Eijirou grabbed Izuku by the shoulders. "Whoa! Take it easy, dude; you feeling okay?"

Izuku saw the world spin around him and mumbled, "Feel sick."

"Aw man, that sucks. Uhh... want me to get your friends?"

Izuku blearily glanced over at his friend group. Mina was seated on one of the alpha's laps, Hanta, he thought. Tsu and Tenya were making out. Todoroki and Tenya were super engrossed in their game.

"Naw, don't bug'm...I'll walk home." he took a few staggering steps and giggled.

" Aw, bro, don't do that. Hey, you can crash on my bed; I'll be partying most of the night and then sleep in the lounge as usual!" he let out a booming laugh and dragged Izuku back to his room. "Bakubro's probably asleep by now." he laughed. Izuku froze in his tracks. He somehow forgot about seeing Kacchan after a few too many drinks.

"Kacchan... literal worst person ever. So mean." he mumbled.

"Huh? What are you talking about dude? Sure, he's gruff, but he does so much for people. He tutors all of us for free because we're so dumb, and he's so smart. He cooks for us all the time, even though he says it's because we're dumbasses that don't know how to survive."

"The worst." Izuku mumbled to himself.

Eijirou glanced oddly at him. "I don't think so, dude. He's a good guy. The only thing wrong with him is that he has no life. No matter how much we bug him to hang with us, he studies all the time."

The words were too much for Izuku to focus on.
"Unggg... so tired." They approached the room and opened the door. Just as Eijirou had predicted, the light was off, and Katsuki was asleep in his lower bunk.

"Okay dude." Eijirou stage whispered. "My bunk's above your buddy. Need help up the ladder?"

"Need... sleep." Izuku mumbled, stumbling up the ladder and falling face down onto a pillow that smelled like cinnamon and alpha sweat. "Stinks," he muttered.

Eijirou let out a sharp laugh and waved goodnight, closing the door after himself.

The room was still spinning, and Izuku felt a bit like he might gag. "Damn patches," he mumbled. The last thing he did before passing out was rip the suppressant patches off his neck and wrists and tossed them off the bunk bed onto the floor.
