Summary:
Hermes knew that there had to be some sort of catch, something terrible about the place to justify the suspiciously low rent.
He had assumed (correctly) that it would be a wreck, in desperate need of renovations and probably chock full of asbestos and lead and who knows what else. He was also unfazed by the fact that the walls were paper thin and the ceiling closer to a leaky sieve than anything else, as well as the fact that his front door refused to shut or lock properly.
And yet—even with all the things Hermes had anticipated about the apartment—the ghost was a complete surprise.

life is short. why not write an absurdly long and self-indulgent charmes comic about smooching a ghost?
(even said ghost smooching does not occur for. . . quite a while)
i uh. . . i don't have schedule for this. this chapter took like a month but that was including planning and life stuff so who knows when the next chapter will be out. hopefully soon.

Notes:
hermes is a fucking drama queen in this, but in my drafts he sobs on the bathroom floor twice in the first chapter so this is actually an improvement.
