If I wasn't here tomorrow would anybody care
Purpled stood at the edge of what used to be L’Manberg, the crater in the ground still radiating the strong scent of gunpowder. He watched the pulsing vines slide along the bedrock, curling around the flag.
If my time was up I'd wanna know
He pulled himself away from the edge, walking the staircase that led to the main prime path. As he passed Karl’s house, he remembered the dogs he tamed, the ones that followed behind him during the Manberg v. Pogtopia war, the ones he tucked into Karl’s living room to keep safe, the ones that are dead now because they were too close to L’Manberg.
You were happy I was there
He walked past Tommy’s house, purple eyes scanning the red and white flowers lining the outside. He sighed, crouching down and touched one, the delicate petal soft between his fingertips. As he stood up, he grunted, a sharp pain stabbing through his knee.
If I wasn't here tomorrow would anyone lose sleep
He looked up at the large hotel, red concrete and dark spruce blending together beautifully. He turned, walking away from Tommy’s house, away from the prison his brother was locked in.
If I wasn't hard and hollow
As he passed the ‘Targay’ he frowned, that used to be his build. It used to be Wal-Mart. He had huge plans for it, but he got tired of it. So he abandoned the build, letting Puffy redesign it and make it her own. What was the point of protecting it anyway, no one on this stupid server respected him.
Then maybe you would miss me
He looked over at Ant’s gingerbread house, smiling at the memory of his and Ponk’s real estate business. He wonders what Ponk is up to now, he hasn’t seen the older man in a while.
I know I'm a mess and I wanna be someone
His oldest brother’s house looked different now, the building practically overrun by vines and crimson. The dome for Punz’s bees was abandoned and empty.
Someone that I'd like better
Eret’s museum held the same grace that it’s builder did, well crafted and carefully carved. He chuckled humorously, reminded that one of the maps in the back used to belong to him, but Eret asked if he could put it in the museum, and Purpled had to agree. They had been nothing but nice to him since they first met.
I can never forget, so don't remind me of it forever
Purpled could still see the remnants of Tubbo’s old house, the memory of helping the younger boy put out the fire playing in his head. He had chased Tommy around for over an hour that day, hellbent on getting revenge for his neighbor.
What if I just pulled myself together
He remembered watching the sun set as Tubbo lit the rest of his once beautiful house. It went up in flames fast.
Would it matter at all
That was also the first time that Purpled had met Wilbur. The older man acted as Tommy’s attorney that day, clearly biased toward his younger brother, as he refused to listen to Tubbo.
What if I just tried not to remember
He’s pretty sure Tubbo cried that day. Tommy had killed his bee and burnt down his house, all while claiming that he was in the right and did nothing wrong. Punz had promised to let Tubbo adopt one of his bees, and Fundy promised to help him rebuild his house.
Would it matter at all
The Holy Lands were thrown in where Tubbo’s house used to be. The only peaceful place in the server was right there. No one messed with the land. No one could kill on the Holy Lands. The vines stopped short of the Holy Lands, but couldn’t reach in. No one really knew why, everyone just figured it made sense and didn’t question it.
All the chances that have passed me by
His UFO, the building he put so much goddamn time into, was covered in the crimson. They hung over the edges. Curled over the main ship. Creeped into the top dome.
Would it matter if I gave it one more try
A single tear slid down his cheek, barely reaching his jaw before it was angrily wiped away.
Would it matter at all
He took a deep breath in an attempt to calm himself, then started walking again. Making his way past the random builds that attempted to cover his UFO.
If I wasn't here tomorrow would anybody care
Redstone clicked into place as he stepped on the pressure plate, the door opening. He dug into the dirt that covered the once impressive water elevator, climbing up the purple beam.
Still stuck inside this sorrow
A thin layer of dust covered the floor, completely untouched after he left. Abandoned chests seemingly falling apart.
I got nothin' and going nowhere
A quiet sigh filled the building, then the sound of footsteps on concrete.
I know I'm a mess and I wanna be someone
A loud creak of a chest opening, and Purpled pulled scaffolding out of the box.
Someone that I'd like better
He broke the block above him, the shatter of glass almost deafening in the silent building.
Can you help me forget, don't wanna feel like this forever
Scaffolding touched the ground, leading a way into the ceiling, to the outside of the UFO.
If I left tomorrow would anybody care
He remembers hiding from Tommy out here, pressing himself to the side of the glass as he watched Tommy search for him on the ground.
Stuck in this sorrow
He walks to the edge, staring down at the grass. The wind running through his hair, blowing so hard he couldn’t hear the yelling.
Going nowhere
The grass started towards him, faster and faster, then suddenly-
“PURPLED!-”
