"i'm mad!" lucy says cheerfully as she closes her notebooks and stand up from her seat.
rina raises a brow at her dormmate. it was safe to say that lucy was quite strange. she may be composed and collected outside but behind closed doors she was nothing but a kid who had numerous weird ideas.
"you sound a little too cheerful to be mad" the older points out, lowering her gaze back to her laptop. darn thesis. darn classmates who don't participate and do their part on time.
"oh! it's my new catchphrase ms. sour face" lucy sticks her tongue out, running over to the older and sitting down on the bed, just beside her. she steals the laptop, not caring about how the older squeals out of annoyance.
"shut up and relax for a moment. tell your groupmates that you don't care anymore and if they don't start moving then might as well threat them that you'll just go solo and not give them any credit." lucy rambles, eyes focused on the screen as she scrolls through netflix, picking a movie to watch.
"now watch, monsters inc. with me 'cause people are calling me uncultured for never watching it" she giggles, setting the laptop infront of the both of you and she snakes her arms around the older's waist, snuggling to her.
hours passed. the two best friends have finished both monster inc and monsters university now.
and both found themselves cuddled up against each other, lucy's head buried on the other neck as she lies down on top of her. meanwhile rina, had her arms around the younger's waist.
both just stayed quiet in each other's arms, not daring to break the silence.
"hey.." lucy's indeed a brave one.
"yeah?"
"c-can... we... I just—" the younger stammers. rina adjusts their positions, laying the younger down gently beside her, so they'd lie on their sides.
she could look at the younger's face even better in this position too.
"hey, breath. calm down. it's just me" she whispers softly.
this is odd. rina thinks.
they've never really cuddled or shared soft whispers to each other. they'd bicker, just bicker and pick on each other everyday. that alone makes her heart race.
but never in a million light years has she expected this to happen. let alone, expect her heart to run even faster than it ever did before.
"can we do this again?" the younger asks, pulling the older out of her thoughts.
rina smirks, deciding to tease the younger "do what again?"
lucy's cheeks burn at that. good thing the room barely had any light so it wasn't obvious.
a gulp then, "cuddle. can we cuddle again? in the future?"

it had been 3 months since that night and things were the same but not.
lucy has been well... extra clingy. though it comes along with her constant agenda to annoy you but then her kissing game upped as well.
it's a change that you like and dislike.
you're very much aware that besides the skinship between the both of you, certain feelings or yours start to change as well.
at first you push at the back of your head, probably just liking the new affection. but no, everything about your perspective change.
"hey! eureka!" lucy shouts, hugging you from behind.
it's your usual movie night, and of course she finished her honeworks as early as she could.
she uses different phrases every two weeks, but today she chose the famous eureka saying that it's "national classics day" based from urban dictionary.
"mhm... what's your new discovery this time?" you playfully ask, already scrolling through netflix.
curious. she dodged the question.
"nooo, let's continue watching IONTBO!" she whines, taking the laptop from you and plays the certain korean drama.
you roll your eyes but you guys were on the last episode anyway, so you just let her be.
the episode's about to end and you giggle at the familiar bgm that played. seems like kim soohyun's about to confess.
i love you! i love you, koo munyeong.
you smile sheepishly, it was cute. you silently wish you had the courage to shout a confession like that.
"I said I love you" you hear lucy beside you making you giggle.
"seems like you've watched this already" you comment, still smiling at the scene infront of you.
"i said i love you. why aren't you answering?" you freeze.
that's not the right line.
that's not the same from the scene playing on your laptop.
you finally look up, blood rising up from your neck. you become speechless.
"w-what?" where the only words you can muster.
"i said i love you"
was she for real?
lucy chuckles, shutting the laptop close and turns her whole body to face you, while her legs are crossed.
she takes your hands in hers, intertwining them.
"i love you. for real. that's my discovery today" she states, smiling at you softly.
"and i love you too" you manage to answer, smiling goofily for something you're experiencing. not some scene from the internet.
lucy squeals, tackling you with a hug causing the both of you to lie down.
"i love you. i love you. i love you" she keeps saying. "gosh, I can't stop saying it now"
"good. 'cause i love hearing it and 'cause i love you too" she hugs you even tighter.
you could say... the night ended with cuddles and the next morning started just the same.
but in comparison to your past movie nights, you now cuddle your girlfriend.
