Chapter Text
It doesn't take Kagami very long to realise that Aomine is attracted to him.
Not in a romantic sense because that did take him a while, what with the whole confession fiasco, but attracted to him in a sexual sense. Which was pretty surreal for Kagami because no one had ever expressed such an attraction to him before. Well, no one he's also been attracted to that is, definitely not a guy. Sure, he's had his fair share of confessions from girls especially after Seirin won the Winter Cup and older women seem to always have a thing for him, usually mistaking him as older than he is.
But men? Nah. No way. Not with how hard Kagami had tried to keep his sexuality to himself.
So when Aomine slipped his tongue into Kagami's mouth only the second time they kissed, it set his skin on fire. Because first of all, it cemented that Aomine wasn't faking it or still tricking him in some way, you don't kiss someone with tongue if you don't really have the hots for them. And second, it made Kagami realise just how repressed he was; just how much he had held back over the years and how much he craved physical touch.
But Aomine's parents were literally down the hall and despite their warm welcome, Kagami wasn't about to get walked in on again by Aomine's mother. So despite how much he wanted to really let loose and reciprocate Aomine's actions, he had to keep it cordial, they only kissed for a little bit, with Kagami doing everything in his power not to show just how excited he was and eventually after a little pouting from Aomine who wanted to make out for longer, they drifted off; Aomine laying his full body on his boyfriend with mirth in his voice as Kagami groaned at his weight.
Things haven't really heated up after that. They've kissed once or twice following them getting together but there's never really a time as intimate as the day they confessed for them to make out again. Especially not with all the teasing they get from their friends. Kuroko always has a knowing look on his face whenever Kagami types out a reply to one of Aomine's many texts, a look that Kagami eagerly ignores with warm cheeks.
But it's not like Kagami is desperate or anything, it's not like being kissed by Aomine has awakened a hunger in him or anything, and it's definitely not like he's a 16 year old teenage boy with raging hormones who has repressed any and all attraction to guys his entire life…
Okay.
Maybe Kagami is a little desperate.
But it's not like he's going to do anything about it, because what the fuck is he supposed to say? 'Let's make out.' or 'wanna fool around'? Yeah, no fucking way. He'd rather go to a dog park covered in meat than admit that he actually wants Aomine in that way. Just the thought is mortifying, Aomine would probably clown him for ages if he realised just how horny he made him. Getting hard over a simple kiss is pathetic and embarrassing enough, let alone actually having to tell Aomine that. Yeah, he's keeping his mouth shut, he's stubborn like that and that won't change even if they're dating.
So he waits, his pride and his embarrassment too strong to let him do anything with his desires, secretly hoping that Aomine is braver than he is.
It's not often that Aomine cares about how people feel about his actions.
That's not to say he's a shitty person but he doesn't really stop to consider whether people like or approve of him or the things he does, because why should he? He does what he wants and doesn't hurt anyone while doing it so why should he care about anyone else's comfort or approval? This isn't always the case though, like with his parents or Satsuki, although he's definitely done stuff against the latter's approval before.
That changes once he starts dating Kagami though.
In fact, it probably started back when he first started to have feelings for Kagami but only worsened once they finally started dating. Because now he does care about how his actions affect the redhead, he doesn't want Kagami to hate him or be grossed out by him. He wants them to be on the same wavelength or whatever and doesn't want to do anything to fuck up the trust that Kagami has put in him, especially with all the stuff Kagami told about his childhood.
But that is becoming increasingly difficult lately.
Why?
Because Aomine has entered into his first relationship with someone he is very attracted to…
But nothing is fucking happening .
Sure, they kissed when Aomine properly confessed, and other times that night: on the court, on Aomine's bed and then even in his futon for a little while before Kagami said he wanted to sleep but then...nothing.
Okay, maybe that's not entirely true, they've kissed maybe twice since then.
But it feels like nothing, especially because Kagami isn't giving an indication that he's as into it as Aomine is.
For one thing, he never initiates any of their kisses but he's always the first one to pull away. He doesn't seem to particularly like it when Aomine holds on to him or touches him in a way that is even slightly romantic. But didn't Kagami kiss him when they had wrestled in his bed? And didn't he push Aomine's head down when they made out for a bit in his futon? Aomine can't help but remember how elated he felt being with him in his futon that day, kissing him, touching him, sleeping so close that he could feel his body heat and hear his heartbeat. He wasn't even that mad in the morning, even after he woke up to his mother taking pictures of them sleeping because after his initial anger and after his sleepy haze waned, he was just happy to be eating breakfast with his rival turned boyfriend. Even with the teasing and looks from his parents he was happy that Kagami was beside him.
And he had expected things to flow freely from then on, for them to be (as cringey as it sounds) at least a little bit lovey-dovey, maybe hold-hands a little bit, maybe some flirting, at the very least some kissing but no.
It's been almost two weeks but nothing quite as exciting as them confessing has happened yet, and Aomine has a right to be at least a little pissed about it.
But…
They are texting more, and sure when they play fight their hits are softer than before, and maybe Kagami doesn't argue when he asks him to buy him snacks anymore and maybe he messages Aomine to meet him in Maji Burger where he's already ordered him some food, and maybe he's made Aomine some food without complaint and he smiles at him a lot more and maybe Kagami kinda leans on him a little when they're on the bus and they laugh together more freely…
Aomine sighs heavily as he rummages through his kitchen cupboards for an afterschool snack.
"What's wrong, Daiki?" Himari asks her son, as she cuts up fruit. "Trouble in paradise already?"
He frowns at her teasing and nips an apple slice from her plate in retaliation. But she doesn't mind, in fact she smiles and begins cutting more fruit for them both. His frown eases at her sweetness, and he sits down at the kitchen table, watching as she gently cuts into the tender apple. The ministrations remind him of Kagami and he can't help sighing again.
"My, my, Daiki. You're sighing like the main lead of the weekly drama I'm currently watching. What has Taiga-kun done to get you like this?"
"Nothing." he replies as he helps himself to apple slices, "He's done absolutely nothing."
"Oh?" Himari pauses and looks to her son, "Is there something you want him to do?"
Aomine's cheeks go pink, he should have just kept his mouth shut but then again his mother is too freakishly perceptive.
"Never mind." He stuffs another apple slice in his mouth.
"Aww, please tell me, Daiki! I won't tease, I promise!" Himari pleads, pouting slightly as she pushes on her son's arm to convince him.
Aomine groans at her jostling, it's embarrassing to talk to her about shit like this, even if she is super supportive. But she's not letting up, her childlike prodding has progressed to her leaning heavy on his side, clinging to him in a way that's reminiscent of a hug which is kinda comfortable. She presses her cheek to his and he side-eyes as best as he can in such a peculiar position; he can see her putting on her best innocent face.
"Tell me."
"It's nothing."
"It's not nothing if it's bothering you. Talk to me, Daiki and get it off your chest."
Aomine sighs for the third time, this one more frustrated than the last two.
"He won't…kiss me." Aomine mumbles feeling so stupid for even saying it out loud, especially to his mother of all people but he really does need to get it off his chest, "I don't know if I'm doing something wrong."
"What?" Himari gets up, looking very much surprised by the revelation, "But Taiga-kun is smitten with you."
"Well, he's not acting like it." Aomine frowns at the apple slices like somehow they are to blame.
"Run me through what's happening." Himari moves her plate of fruit to the table and sits opposite her son, "What makes you think Taiga-kun doesn't want to kiss you?"
"Because he doesn't. I'm always the one to…you know— start it and he never does. And he'll—" Aomine moves his hand about to try and make his point because fuck this is embarrassing "—end it before it can get any good."
Himari looks almost pensive, "That is strange, especially because I distinctly remember Taiga-kun being on top of you when I walked in on you two getting handsy."
Aomine feels his cheeks reddening even further, forget embarrassing this is just downright mortifying. He chooses to just shove the rest of his apple slices into his mouth, talking about this any further is going to give him an aneurysm.
"Has Taiga-kun dated anyone before you?" Himari asks as she places an apple slice into her mouth.
"No." Aomine says, his own mouth full.
"Well, there you go! Taiga-kun is just embarrassed!"
Aomine swallows the lump of fruit in his throat, "Embarrassed?"
"Of course! This is incredibly new for him as it is for you, so it makes sense for him to be shy. Daiki, being physical with someone is a very intimate process, you learn new things about yourself and your partner and that can be very scary for some people. Especially with you men, what with your pride and all."
Himari reaches a hand across the table to grasp her son's arm.
"You just need to talk to him. The key to any healthy and long-lasting relationship is communication."
Aomine considers his mother's words. She is making a lot of sense, annoyingly. But talk to Kagami? And admit that he's upset that they haven't been kissing that much, that he wants Kagami to take initiative and kiss him first to prove that he wants Aomine as much as Aomine wants him? Fuck no.
"Overwise you can keep quiet and let it snowball into an even bigger problem that will be harder to deal with." Himari says, popping yet another apple slice into her mouth.
Damn it.
Aomine frowns before sighing, knowing that his mother is speaking the truth. He swipes another slice of apple from her in a particular display of childishness. She rolls her eyes as he pulls at her greedy son's cheek.
"Just talk to your boyfriend, okay?"
Aomine chokes a little on the apple slice, still not used to the term, only ever having used it in his head.
Himari giggles at her son's reaction and red cheeks, "Oh, Daiki! You're so cute ♡!"
The pair continue to eat fruit together, Himari teasing her son while he in turn complains at her though they both know he doesn't mind, not really.
Speaking up is a lot easier said than done. For both parties involved.
Kagami knows that something is off with Aomine, knows that he's not happy with something but doesn't know what he should do about it. He could confront him and ask him what the fuck his problem is, but that doesn't feel like the right way to go about it. Because they're dating, right? So Kagami should try to be more compassionate or whatever and wait till Aomine is ready to talk about whatever is bothering him right? Right? That's the right approach to dealing with somebody you care about right? You gotta be patient with them and considerate and all that shit, right? Or maybe that's all a front for the truth, maybe Kagami is actually worried that Aomine has come to the realisation that in just under 2 weeks, he's no longer interested in him and that he wants to break up already. It's a stupid thought in the back of his mind but it's still there and the longer Aomine doesn't say anything, the louder the stupid little thought gets. Kagami does want to be patient with Aomine and let him say whatever is on his mind without pressuring him but also doesn't want to trigger the conversation that could possibly end their relationship while it's still in its infancy.
Aomine knows his mother is right, knows he needs to just spit it out and that communication is key and all that shit, but it's just fucking embarrassing. How the fuck is he even supposed to start the conversation? Randomly just bring up his feelings? He's not some fucking chick, this isn't some fucking drama and he's got no fucking idea what he's supposed to say. And okay, maybe he's a little mad at Kagami too. Because surely, he should know why Aomine is pissed, right? The whole big step with dating someone is kissing and doing other pervy shit, right? So, why doesn't he get it? Why isn't he as eager as Aomine is? It can only mean that, right? That Kagami just isn't into him that way and that he doesn't want to makeout with him which means maybe Kagami doesn't find him attractive which could only mean that maybe Kagami is having second thoughts about their whole relationship. And if Aomine voices his annoyance, what happens if Kagami just dumps him like that? The thought of losing Kagami practically right after getting him, is depressing and maybe if he keeps quiet and doesn't speak up, things will just blow over. Maybe his mother isn't right after all and maybe shutting the fuck up is his best option.
So silent they both remain, still meeting up for one-on-ones, having mini dates at Maji Burger, teasing each other, and generally just enjoying each other's company while pushing their worries and anxieties to the back of their minds…
But luckily for the pair, there are people around them ready and willing to snap them out of it.
"Kagami-kun, is something on your mind?"
The boy in question looks to his friend as he bites into his sandwich, he blinks at him confused for a second before replying.
"No, why?" He says with his mouth full.
"Are you sure? There's nothing going on at all with you? Nothing at all relating to a relationship you've only just begun?"
Kagami chokes a little, struggling to swallow his sandwich before he can reply. Kuroko watches as the boy beats his chest and gulps down water like a starved man, calmly chewing his own sandwich as they sit in their classroom during lunch. Kagami wipes his mouth with the back of his hand before fixing Kuroko with a guilty look.
"Did he tell you?"
"No, I've just come to realise that when you're quiet, there is most likely something wrong. And Aomine-kun seems to be your main focus currently so I simply connected the dots."
Kagami's cheeks redden and he frowns but doesn't deny Kuroko's words. Kuroko is always so damn observant and never betrays his confidence, so maybe it's okay to tell him how he's feeling.
"I think he's mad at me or something."
"Have you spoken to him about it?"
"No."
"Why not?"
Kagami grumbles under his breath.
"I didn't quite catch that, Kagami-kun."
"I'm just worried."
"That…?" Kuroko remains unblinking and unrelenting.
"That he's gonna— you know." Kagami takes another bite of his sandwich hoping Kuroko can put the pieces together.
"I don't know, Kagami-kun."
Of course, Kuroko would be obtuse right now. Kagami just frowns as he continues to chow down on his sandwich, not wanting to say anything more. Kuroko continues to eat as well, not doing or saying anything to force Kagami to speak but as a man of few words, his silence speaks plenty. They sit in silence while Kagami finishes his sandwich, once he does so he scrunches up the wrapping before ripping into another one.
"I think he wants to dump me."
Kuroko swiftly kicks his shin, which makes Kagami shout, rocking the desk and gathering the attention of other students in their classroom.
"What the fuck, Kuroko!?"
"I apologise, Kagami-kun. I have an involuntary response to very stupid things."
Kagami just glares at him, unimpressed.
"Aomine-kun has spent months doing his very best to get your attention, earn your friendship and— in his own words— win your heart. I find it impossible to believe that he wants to dump you under any circumstances."
Kagami tries not to show how happy Kuroko's words make him but he fails as he feels his heart race.
"Have you done anything to upset him?"
"Not that I can think of."
"Then isn't your best option to ask him directly?"
"Yeah, I guess…"
Kuroko doesn't speak for a minute, instead bringing out his phone and placing it directly in Kagami's face.
Kagami blinks back until his eyes register what is on the screen, a string of messages between Kuroko and Aomine. He takes the phone as he begins to read them; the interactions are brief but one thing is clear. Aomine is embarrassingly hung up on him, he says the most embarrassing shit and Kuroko doesn't let him live it down. Almost every other message is about him and Aomine does nothing to hide affections: talking about Kagami's 'stupid beautiful smile' and how cute he looks when he eats.
"It should be obvious to you now that Aomine-kun is nauseatingly smitten with you, Kagami-kun. You have no reason to think he wants to break up with you."
Kagami hands Kuroko his phone back and gives him a small but grateful smile, "Thanks, Kuroko."
The boy nods and returns his smile,"I hope this means you will talk to Aomine-kun about whatever is bothering him next you see him."
Kagami takes a large bite of his second sandwich before replying with a full mouth yet again.
"Yeah, I will."
It's not like Kagami is suddenly completely free from worry but the messages that he's read have filled him with a kind of hope. Because it's one thing for someone to say that they like you and another thing for you to get actual evidence that they do. It's embarrassing, sure, but it makes Kagami happy. Stupidly, stupidly happy.
"Dai-chan, you're being so stupid."
"Shut up, Satsuki."
Aomine chews lazily as he watches the clouds in the sky, ignoring the disapproving look Satsuki is most likely giving him. Telling her was a mistake.
"No, you shut up!" Satsuki says, jabbing him in his side. "You don't want to talk to Kagamin because you're embarrassed?? How does that make any sense?"
"You don't get it." Aomine frowns as he stuffs more food in his mouth, the bento his mother made him filled with delicious side dishes. He usually gets lunch from school but after the cut up fruits they ate together, he had asked her for some bento on a whim and she had happily obliged.
"I get it completely, you're being prideful."
"No, I'm not."
"Yes, you are!"
"No, I'm not!"
"Then why else won't you speak up? Aunty has already told you that Kagamin is probably embarrassed and a little shy, what more do you need?"
"And what if that isn't it?" Aomine turns to face Satsuki with a matching frown. "What if he just doesn't want to kiss me?"
"What?" Satsuki's irritation deflates a little bit.
"What if he just isn't into me like that? What if he's grossed out and just doesn't know how to tell me?" Aomine says quietly as he turns his eyes back to the clouds.
"I'm not being prideful… I'm just scared."
He hears Satsuki's little gasp which isn't surprising, he doesn't just come out and say stuff like this but there's no point in hiding it from her right? It's not as embarrassing telling her things as it is telling his mother, after all Satsuki has been the keeper of all of his secrets, ever since they were kids.
"Dai-chan…" her voice is soft and forthcoming, "You don't need to be scared. Kagamin definitely likes you back, he told you as much didn't he?"
"And if he's changed his mind?" Aomine counters, as he finishes off the food in his bento.
"Kagamin isn't the type to change his mind so quickly. He's ambitious, stubborn and determined. He refuses to give up in a difficult situation and as a result wouldn't just back out of something without a justified reason."
Aomine smirks, that definitely sounds like the dumbass he's in love with.
"I know my data on him is accurate and I can guarantee that my readings are correct, but the only way to put yourself at ease is for you to talk to him." Satsuki says, a hand on his shoulder."So stop worrying yourself and let Kagamin know how you feel."
Aomine sighs as he stretches out to fall back to lie down on his school's roof. Satsuki is saying the same thing as his mother and it isn't often that they are both wrong about something. The clouds in the sky pass by without a care and he thinks that maybe he should just swallow his fear (and a smidgen of pride) and talk to Kagami, but he's still hesitant and still has that sinking feeling in the pit of his stomach.
His phone buzzes in his pocket and he pulls it out lazily to read the text he's been sent.
Kagami : hey, wanna come over today? hang out and order food?
He sits up at this, his attention now fully occupied.
Aomine : u wont cook for me? stingy
"Is that Kagamin?" Satsuki pipes up, looking over his shoulder to read his texts, "This is a sign! Talk to him today, Dai-chan!"
He angles his body away so she can't read anymore as another message pings through.
Kagami : nah, i'm in the mood for pizza tonight, i'll cook next time. u in?
The promise of a future cooked meal is enough to make Aomine smile, Kagami being so unconsciously sweet isn't good for his heart
Aomine : yeah, i'm in. 5?
Kagami : yeah, that works, see you then (‘-‘*ゞ
"Aww, Kagamin uses kaomojis! That's so cute!"
Aomine tsks, as he pulls his phone away from Satsuki's prying eyes, "Stop reading my messages."
"Talk to him, Dai-chan. This is the perfect opportunity."
"Yeah, yeah."
Aomine pockets his phone and swipes some of Satsuki's bento, the girl herself may be hopeless at cooking but her mother definitely isn't. She complains and snatches her bento box away, sticking her tongue out like a child. Aomine moves around her to grab more of his food and she whines while smacking him away. She's right though, this is his chance to speak up.
Even if he doesn't really want to.
There's apprehension in Aomine's chest when he rings Kagami's doorbell.
It's not like he has anything to be nervous about, if his mother and Satsuki are to be believed. But he still is and that has his stomach in knots. He hears the door being unlocked and tries to push all his worries to the back of his mind. Kagami opens the door and when Aomine sees him, he feels it in his chest. There's no doubt he's in love with the boy in front of him, his heart reminds him of that much every time he sees him.
"Stop spacing out and get in, dumbass." Kagami says with a smile that doesn't do his heart any favours.
Aomine pushes away thoughts of Kagami greeting him with a kiss and follows him into his apartment.
"You ordered yet?" He kicks off his shoes and pushes them into a neat enough position before getting to Kagami's living room.
"Nah, I don't know what you want." Kagami replies, going to sit on his couch, "Menu is here."
"I'm good with anything as long as it's not that gross one with pineapple that you like." Aomine says as he joins him on the couch, snatching up the TV remote to begin flicking between the channels.
Kagami laughs, "Hawaiian isn't that bad, you're just dramatic."
"And you just eat anything."
Kagami flips him off and Aomine just smirks, their fingers brush as he takes the menu from him and Aomine remembers what he's here to do. Kagami doesn't seem to be bothered by the touch which irks him to no end, it's like they aren't even going out. Shouldn't he be all blushy or something? Even just the slightest bit embarrassed? Aomine skims through the menu with a frown on his face. How is he supposed to go about this? He should just come out and say it but it's embarrassing as fuck and Kagami doesn't seem like he's even aware that something is wrong, plus the mood between them is casual and light so if he brings it up now wouldn't he just be ruining shit?
Fuck, why is this shit so fucking complicated?
Aomine's face is expressing a thousand emotions a second and try as he might to remain neutral and light-hearted, Kagami can feel himself beginning to freak out. Aomine didn't even sound that enthusiastic to come over and didn't even try to kiss or touch him in any way, no light shove or headlock, nothing. Whatever he wants to say, he's about to say it and Kagami can feel anxiety knotting up in his stomach at the possibilities. But Kagami has a lot of pride and there's an innate part of him that refuses to lose to Aomine, his greatest rival. So even with his worry, he refuses to be a pipsqueak, refuses to let Aomine win this silent battle by being the one to speak up first.
Just got to fucking spit it out.
He doesn't look at Aomine, because even if he's prideful he's also a tiny bit of a coward, flicking through the channels and pretending to be interested in the cooking channel he's landed on.
"What's eating you, dumbass?"
Aomine snaps his head from the menu to look at Kagami who seems to be nonchalantly watching some woman chop up daikon. Somehow, the light almost teasing nature of his voice is enough to piss Aomine off.
"Why the fuck won't you kiss me?"
Kagami drops the remote, not at all ready for what Aomine just said to him. His façade breaks completely as he swivels his head in the other boy's direction.
"What?" His voice doesn't stutter by some miracle. Aomine is glaring at him, the pizza menu discarded and his arms crossed. He looks upset but also…embarrassed?
"You never kiss me. I'll kiss you but you never kiss me. And you always end it first and then go off to do some shit. What the fuck is going on?"
Kagami's brain short circuits. He makes a feeble attempt to piece together what Aomine is saying to him as he stares back at the boy, he can feel himself getting warm, knows that his face, neck and ears are red.
With no response, Aomine feels himself lose confidence, Kagami is blushing sure but he looks uncomfortable as fuck. This is the part where Kagami reveals he hates it and doesn't want to do this anymore. Well, fuck that. If this is the end then Aomine refuses to let it end on Kagami's terms.
"If you hate it that much, then what are we even doing? If you don't want to do this anymore then—"
"That's not it, dumbass!" Kagami interrupts him, covering his face with a hand. He can taste the embarrassment on his tongue, feel it on his skin. Part of him thinks it would have been better if Aomine just wanted to break up with him for no reason but this? This is way more mortifying.
"Then what is it?" Aomine bites back, his heart in this throat because it's not like he wants this. It's not like it feels great to know your supposed boyfriend isn't even into you.
Kagami covers his face with both hands and mumbles something Aomine can't possibly hear.
"I have no clue what you just fucking sai—"
"I get turned on, okay!?" Kagami shouts, wanting to implode at this point. He doesn't want to have to say this shit but since he's started he might as well spill it all. "I get turned on when you kiss me and it's fucking embarrassing because why am I get so excited over you? You're such a dumbass and annoying as fuck but when you kiss me it just— fuck, it feels— you… shit."
Kagami falters at the end of his outburst and has half a mind to just throw himself out of the closest window. Aomine is as silent as a mouse which is a rarity and Kagami braces himself for the roaring laughter that is coming.
"Prove it."
Aomine doesn't sound like himself, even he knows that. He's trying to hold himself together, trying not to show just how excited he is. Because it's the complete opposite of all his worries, it's the best possible outcome and one that has him thinking about nothing else than the boy beside him.
"Huh?"
Kagami lifts his head and blinks at him, he sees the heat in Aomine's eyes and fuck if that doesn't send a chill down his spine.
"Kiss me if you're not full of shit."
It's embarrassing.
Both for Aomine to say and for Kagami to hear, but what's more embarrassing is how Kagami folds almost immediately because he's always been a man of action and fuck, kissing the idiot beside him is easier than sitting with his thoughts and stewing further in his embarrassment.
He pulls Aomine by the collar and smushes their lips together. It's rough and a little painful but it's enough to set them both off. Aomine grabs Kagami's face and pushes his tongue into his mouth like his life depends on it and when Kagami groans the sound goes straight to his crotch. Kagami lets go of his collar and wraps his arm around his neck to pull him closer. The movement brings their bodies together and suddenly Aomine can feel the weight of Kagami's body on him. He lets go of the boy's face to touch him, hands immediately under his shirt to feel up all over his torso: his hips, the muscles of his lower and upper back, his abs and even his pecs. Kagami keeps groaning into the kiss as Aomine's tongue swirls around in his mouth, lapping up his own tongue and running over his gums and teeth. The feeling is too much, too intense but too good to stop. But in the back of the mind, he still feels like he's losing, letting himself get swept up by Aomine's pace.
He breaks off the kiss to catch his breath, seeing a string of saliva connecting them still. Aomine is as breathless as he is, his hands still under his shirt, still groping him. But before Aomine can say anything, Kagami pushes him down on the couch and gets on top of him, the surprise on his face makes Kagami hesitate though, panic running up his back. Aomine just stares up at him not saying a thing, still breathing heavily, still with his hands up Kagami's t-shirt. His eyes are screaming though, everything in them telling him to keep going, to go further even and Kagami is too far gone to this point to care about being embarrassed anymore. He leans down to kiss him again, this time pushing his tongue into Aomine's mouth. The boy beneath him moans and Kagami feels weak in his knees. They fumble on the couch as they bring their legs up from the floor and intertwine them. Aomine's hands are distracting, as one is rubbing the expanse of his upper back while the other is rubbing his lower back, resting just above his ass. It spurs Kagami on and he puts his own hands up Aomine's shirt, his fingers spreading out across the boy's abs and sides of his torso. He's mapping out the expense of Aomine's mouth, twisting their tongues and mixing saliva in a way that would probably disgust him if he could gather the brain cells to even think about what they're doing.
Aomine is trying so hard not to lose his mind because this is everything he wants and more, Kagami in his arms, them kissing, their hands on each other, him moaning ? He's almost lightheaded at this point, as he feels Kagami's hands running over him too, as he feels him shift slightly and then—
He feels it.
Kagami is hard. He can feel it against the side of his leg and fuck, he himself has been hard since before he got pushed down onto the couch. But the confirmation that Kagami is just as turned on throws out any and all logic that's in his head. He breaks off the kiss and pushes Kagami back a little, but not for long. He swaps their positions around as best he can, careful not to let them fall off the couch and places himself so that their crotches align. Kagami looks up at him dazed, his lips red and his shirt lifted. They lock eyes and Aomine has never felt desire like this in this life, not for anything, not for anyone . He doesn't think, he just rocks his hips and Kagami's eyes roll back as he groans out.
"Fuck."
Aomine's not far behind him, breathing out lowly as he rocks against him. Feeling the press of another dick against his own is weird but not unwelcome. After a few slow grinds, Aomine picks up the pace and groans because he doesn't even feel like he's part of the world right now. Touching himself doesn't even feel this good, the friction is too delicious and now he's really starting to lose himself. Kagami grunts out a little more and Aomine goes even faster. The redhead gasps and Aomine leans down to kiss him again, a kiss he welcomes with ease, his tongue going around Aomine's mouth in seconds. It doesn't feel like things can get any better than this but then Kagami's hands grab at his waist, one hand even gets his ass and suddenly he's grinding back just as roughly. Aomine shivers because this feels unlike anything they've done thus far; Kagami is matching his energy and groping him now. The palm on his butt squeezes and that sends a bolt down his spine, never in his dizziest dreams would he have imagined that having his ass grabbed would be a turn-on for him. Not one to be undone, he digs under Kagami to squeeze his own ass, gripping him firmly as their grinding becomes erratic.
They're both close and Aomine can feel himself nearing the edge at an alarming rate. He breaks off their kiss once again just so he can breathe, his hips are stuttering and it feels like he's about to get a cramp in his leg. Kagami's grinding against him just as desperately and hearing him pant in his ear has Aomine just about there, goosebumps running up his neck like crazy. He buries his face in Kagami's neck as he reaches his peak.
"Shit!"
Kagami is close behind him, groaning into his ear as he finishes too. The orgasm rocks Aomine to the soles of his feet, none of his masturbation sessions not with porn or his magazines have felt this good. This felt too real, too grounded in reality, the touch of another person almost surreal. Aomine can feel his boxers dampening but he doesn't even care, his body feels like it's gone through metamorphosis, he feels himself slump against Kagami as his body relaxes, his orgasm exhausting him instantly. He pulls his hands out from Kagami's ass to under his shirt once again, taking the time to slowly trace along his muscles. He lifts his head slowly to look at Kagami whose eyes are still close, his breathing shallow.
Aomine tries to smirk but it just comes out as a smile.
"I turn you on, huh?"
Kagami's eyes flicker open as he looks at Aomine, a smirk spreading on his face.
"Yeah, almost as much as I turn you on."
"Says the guy who pinned me down on his couch?"
"That coming from the guy who started humping me like a dog?"
Aomine frowns, "Didn't you do it right back? And weren't you just squeezing my ass?"
"Weren't you groping me the whole time?" Kagami counters, his smirk becoming a smile.
Aomine's frown falls to a smile and he leans in to kiss Kagami again. This kiss is slow and easy going as Kagami runs a hand up his back coming to thread his fingers into Aomine's hair. The other hand runs up beneath his shirt gently grazing his back. Aomine runs his tongue lazily around Kagami's mouth, enjoying the low hum that his boyfriend emits, but the hum becomes a bit of a nuisance as Kagami begins chuckling.
"What the fuck?"
"Were you really upset because I didn't kiss you?" Kagami's eyes are full of mirth, ready to tease.
"What did you expect, dumbass. Aren't you supposed to kiss your boyfriend?"
Kagami's eyes widen, his cheeks getting pink. It's not hard to figure out why, this is the first time Aomine has used that word. It's his turn to tease.
"We dry hump on your couch and you're fine but I call you my boyfriend and you start blushing?" He snorts as Kagami's cheeks deepen in colour.
"Shut up, dumbass." Kagami says, flicking at the back of his head, he turns his face away from Aomine, his eyes going to the TV where another cooking show is playing.
"Oi," Aomine pulls his face back with a few fingers, "If you knew I was mad why didn't you say anything?"
Kagami meets his eyes before they fall away from him again, "I dunno, I thought you were bored of me already. Wanted to end it or whatever."
"Don't be fucking dumb." Aomine says deadpan, but a part of him remembers exactly why Kagami gets worried about shit like this, "Why the fuck would I be bored of you? After all the time I've spent trying to get you to like me? If I was bored of something, you'd know it. But not you, you're— you're different, Kagami."
Red eyes meet blue and for the second time that day, Aomine feels it in his chest; the stupid butterflies, the heat under his skin, the tingle in his fingertips.
"I'm not letting go of you, dumbass."
Kagami hears his words and believes him. Smiling wide in that way Aomine loves.
"Okay, I get it. Next time I'll say something."
"Good, next time take your own advice." Aomine teases.
"Next time take your own advice." Kagami mimics in a dumb voice. "Next time speak up and don't overthink shit on your own."
Aomine's heart feels lighter than it has all week as he presses a sloppy kiss on Kagami's cheek, grinning wide when Kagami tries to shove him off.
"Get off me so I can clean up, dumbass."
Aomine can feel that his own boxers are stiff and complies after a moment, but seeing the wet patch on Kagami's sweatpants is kinda hot.
"Ugh, gotta shower." Kagami says looking down at his crotch with a look of mild disgust.
"Together?" Aomine asks, raising a hopeful eyebrow.
Kagami scoffs, shoving him away, "Order the pizza, dumbass. I'm starving." He gets up from the couch on somewhat shaky legs, Aomine hot on his heels.
"Come on, Kagami." Aomine latches on to him from behind, hanging onto him like a child, "It'll save water."
"There isn't enough space for both of us, moron." Kagami says, trying to shrug him off to get to his bedroom. "It'd be too cramped."
"What if we squeeze in close?" Aomine provides, getting hopeful at the fact that Kagami hasn't exactly said no.
Kagami looks back at him with a smirk, "Why are you such a pervert?"
"Takes one to know one." Aomine smirks back, knowing he's got him thinking about it. "Also lend me some underwear and sweats."
"Fine, but go order the pizza. You can shower after me."
"You're no fun." Aomine says as he dumps himself back on the couch.
But he's not mad, not even a little bit how could he be? He's sitting on his boyfriend's couch, about to order them pizza and more sure of his relationship than ever before. His mother was right, Satsuki was right and now, he's taken a further step into his relationship with Kagami, a step that is right up his alley, one that feels just as amazing as he's dreamed off. And if Kagami thinks this is the extent of how perverted he can be, then he's got another thing coming.
Although, when he thinks about how enthusiastic they both were a few minutes ago, it seems like he's got nothing to worry about…
