It has become routine. For the last 3 months, Mista would come over to your house after a mission. It always took more time to get to yours but he found comfort while sleeping in your arms. He has been going on a lot of missions lately. You knew how hard he work so, for him, you didn't mind staying up late and wait for him. He did as much as he could for you in your relationship, that missing a few hours of sleep to make sure he was fine was the least you could do. As if on clue, Mista opened the door to your apartment. He made his way to the kitchen, where you always were at that time. He sat down and looked at you. You looked back, making eye contact with him.
"Hi Guido" you whispered.
You brought him the food you made and sat with him while he ate. As soon as he was done, you helped him make his way to your bedroom. You sat him down on your bed, helping him take his shoes off.
"Take a shower Guido and then you'll be able to have a good night sleep." You brought your hand to his face, stroking his cheek. He placed his face on your chest, hugging you.
After his shower, he stood in the doorway, looking at you. His face showed sadness and guilt. You pated the spot next to you and he slowly made his way over and lied down next to you.
"I can see something is bothering you. Do you want to talk about it?"
He brought his hands to your waist, bringing you closer to him. "I feel useless."
"Guido, amore, you're not useless. You work so hard to keep a lot of people happy. Can't you see that?"
"In this relationship, I mean. You've been taking care of me everyday, making you lose sleep. I don't do anything for you, yet you're still here, making sure I eat and shower and sleep."
"Don't ever say something like that. I love taking care of you. You work hard everyday. You deserve it."
He hid his face in the crook of your neck. "Thank you. I know I don't say it often, but thank you amore. I don't know what I would do without you."
The air on your neck made you giggle. Before falling asleep, you heard him whisper something.
"I love you y/n"
You chuckled, your heart beating fast at the simple words. "And I love you, Guido."
