Chapter Text
It was a regular Thursday night, I was home alone, trying to make myself a grilled cheese sandwich. My mom and sister were God knows where, but I'm not complaining I love alone time. That is until I hear a random shuffling at the door, I pull out my earbuds carefully. I grab the first pan I see and head to the door, my neighborhood wasn't the safest so I learned some survival skills.
I head to the door with the pan tight in my hands ready to swing. I see a tall male figure inside the house, he doesn't seem familiar at all. that's it I'm charging. I sneak up behind him quietly.
"Hel-" he starts speaking but gets interrupted by me slamming the pan on his head, knocking him unconscious. Shit, what am I supposed to do now? His unconscious body is laying on the ground, I pick up one of the chairs and sit him on it. what if he wakes up, my thoughts tell me. I grab duct tape and tape his wrists and ankles to the chair. I call my best friend Connie, he lives in the apartment upstairs.
"Connie, I need your help! There was some intruder in my house right now. I knocked him out but I don't know what to do" I yell on the phone.
"What!? Okay wait me and Sasha were just picking up food we'll come to you right now" he says quickly, and hangs up.
I hear a knock at the door, and jump to open it. Connie walks in and immediately drops his jaw. I look at him perplexed, and I look back at the unconscious guy duct-taped to the chair in my living room. Well, do my friends think I’m insane or something now...
"Selena, are you out of your mind!?" Connie laughingly yells at me.
"What!? I'm so confused" I look back at Connie wide-eyed. Sasha is standing in the back yawning.
"This is fucking Eren what did you do to him"
"Who? You know the robber?"
"You idiot, this is my friend Eren, I told him to go to my apartment and he must of confused it with yours or something" Connie laughs
"So he's not a robber?"
"NO, did you kill him or something?" Connie pokes Eren trying to wake him up.
"No of course not, I just knocked him out with a pan. What do you think I'm a murder?" I say defensively.
"I mean you did knock out and duct tape a stranger..so" Sasha says from the back of the room, joining the convo.
"Okay, how the hell are we gonna wake him up now..?" Connie asks
"Eh I got it" I run to the bathroom and grab bleach. Connie gives me a wary look, and I just nod at him. I put the open bleach bottle close to his nose hoping he will smell it and wake up. Thankfully he does, he jumps and stares at me.
"What the fuck is going on...Connie what is happening?" He says quietly, examining the environment.
"Seems like there was some misunderstanding, sorry Eren'' Connie says smiling softly. I put the bleach on the ground, and grab my pocket knife. Eren thrashes in the chair trying to rip the duct tape out of his wrists and ankles.
"What type of misunderstanding leaves me tied up in a chair? What the fuck" he says, sounding very annoyed. He has no right to be mad at me, what's his problem he broke into my apartment.
"The type where you break into people's apartments unannounced," I say looking at him while ripping the duct tape with my pocket knife.
"I didn't break into your apartment! I don't even know you, this is Connie's apartment"
"Well you see buddy I'm actually unit 45, not 55" Connie explains.
"Oh shit my bad, but still you had no right to knock me out" Eren's tone changed when talking to me compared to Connie. Who does he think he is?
"Well I saw a strange man in my apartment, how am I supposed to act?" I counterclaim, by then I had finished ripping all the duct tape and he was free. He stood up fast and walked to Connie.
"So we left Mcdonalds for nothing?" Sasha says in the middle of all the tension.
"Well it's not my fault Connie's friend snuck into my apartment" I say rolling my eyes.
"Oh well it's not really my fault Connie's friend is crazy and knocked me out" Eren says staring at me, his stare was so strong jeez. I was about to talk back when Connie interrupted.
"Okay Connie's friends how about we all love each other?" Connie giggles. Me and Eren continue looking at each other. He seems like an asshole, he didn't even apologize.
"Okay ladies, me and Eren actually have to go" Connie's waves leaving with Eren.
"CONNIE! we were supposed to go get McDonald’s together, okay Selena now you’re coming with me" Sasha whines. I nod at her.

Sasha and I are in the car heading to Mcdonald's, she drives silently listening to me rant about "Eren".
"...And he didn't even apologize for breaking into my house!?" I yell.
"Okay to be fair he didn't know it was your apartment, so don't take it personal" Sasha says. I snap my head at her.
"Who's side are you on!?"
"Yours of course, but you're doing too much," She says giggling.
"Yea I might be, I don't know something about the way he was just staring at me annoys me"
