The breath of the wild wind was moving Lumine’s hair back and forward. She quietly sat down and crossed her legs in a Turkish style, she took a deep breath through her nose and breathed out through her mouth. The grass was tickling her ankles but she didn’t mind it, even though she was in the city of freedom she never felt completely free. Lumine was trapped in this world until she found her brother and knowing her personality separating from Lumine’s friends would be an extremely difficult task for her sensitive heart.
Lumine felt with her gut feeling a familiar sense behind her. She rapidly turned around and her lips curled into a genuine smile. It was Albedo, she was really happy to see him. Albedo waved at her and sat down near her and then shuffled her hair. “Why is the outlander enjoying nature with such a sad look on her face” Albedo was genuinely concerned for Lumine and it made her smile and blush even more. “It’s nothing haha” he could see she was lying. Unlike other people Albedo was really intelligent in the way of understanding human beings, many other Mondstat friends of Lumine would never understand how miserable she actually feels all the time, but he does. Albedo understands that the Outlander feels really out of this world, so did he.
“You know” Albedo started speaking in a quiet voice to get Lumine’s attention better “When I was younger and just got here in Mondstat many kids didn’t want to accept me, if not for my Aunt Alice I’d be still that weird kid in the alchemy lab and would still be really depressed over the whole thing” he caressed her cheek “Nothing is wrong with being an outlander and feeling out of this world Lumine, many of us feel unbelonged at certain times of our lives and that’s perfectly fine, but home is about what you make it out to be and where you have people you love.” He smiled and continued softly “Maybe your brother isn’t here with us right now but he’ll certainly be waiting for you at some point of your journey” tears were forming at the corners of Lumine’s eyes “And he cares about you as much as you care about him you hear me?” Lumine’s tears were silently falling from her eyes at this point.
“Hey… Hey, no crying!” Albedo grabbed Lumine by her cheeks and pulled her over on his shoulder. Lumine stopped crying and slowly dozed off into oblivion. Albedo realized that when her breathing slowed down and he couldn’t hear her heart beating as loud as he did before. He very carefully picked her up in a bridal style and put her head on his shoulder and started slowly working towards his lonely place in Dragonspine. He didn’t want there to be any rumors about him and her in Mondstat and he low-key wanted some alone time with her without Paimon, Outlander’s annoying companion that always got in the way and never let Albedo find out anything about Lumine without Paimon’s interruptions. Something was pulling him towards the traveler like nothing ever before. Actually, now that he was thinking about it he had a similar force pulling him towards Kaeya, but Kaeya felt cold, distant, and fake, while Lumine felt lively and warm, he never wanted to let go of her, she always makes him smile even though he barely knows her.
Eventually, outlander and Albedo reached his station in dragon spine. Albedo really loved this quiet little place and he only shared it with people dear to him. The traveler was one of them. He put her over on his bed and tucked her sheets in. Surprisingly, throughout this whole trip she hasn’t woken up, Lumine must’ve been extremely tired and burn out from all of her adventures. Albedo kept caressing her lovely blonde hair that kept getting stuck to his fingers and he was having mini panic attacks when it did, will she wake up from this? Lumine turned in her sleep and pulled Albedo towards her and securely trapped him in a hug. Albedo was blushing really badly but he kept himself together and eventually fell asleep in this warm cuddle with his hand interwinding one of her hands. She’ll probably be embarrassed and apologetic in the morning but he didn’t want that to bring him out of this warm space right now, he faded off into oblivious sleep without having nightmares for the first time. For the first time he felt at home, he was out of danger he was happy.
