Summary:

Canon divergent.
Now complete!
Phoenix Wright is the first Omega defence lawyer in years, so when he's the one to first defeat the demon prosecutor, Miles Edgeworth, an Alpha, surely the press will have a field day with that.

However, they aren't far from the truth, as Phoenix and Miles do get involved, in a heated night of passion, ending with the Omega getting unwittingly pregnant. Can they both salvage their careers AND raise a family, or will something have to give?

--Super graphic, please read the tags!--

Notes:

You don't really need to know much lore beyond the first game, since this is super duper canon divergent.

Heads up, first chapter has drunk sex, it's very vocal and emotional, but both parties are very drunk so take that into consideration.

Self indulgent, I really just wanted to see Phoenix knocked up.

Heads up, in this ABO setting, Omega's are intersex, they have a dick and a coochie, but no balls. But yes, they can still cum, it's my bad fanfic and I make the rules.
I am not shy about using the words for their genitals so be wary if genital terminology isn't okay with you.

Last chance to read the tags and back away if this isn't your thing!

Chapter Text

“The prosecution rests, your honour.” Edgeworth bowed solemnly, a scowl prominently displayed on his face as he accepted his defeat. He saw his opponent grinning like a fool from across the court, and as much as he hated to admit it, he was backed into a corner and there was no getting out of this ‘not guilty’ verdict.

“As does the defence.” Wright said, his voice dripping with pride as he knew he had won his case. And as the judge proceeded to bang his gavel and declare the defendant ‘NOT GUILTY’, the court erupted into applause and cheer at this victory. This was becoming Phoenix Wright’s claim to fame. At this stage, no one had yet beaten Miles Edgeworth in court, and of course, folks were quick to notice that the prominent Omega was the only lawyer to have done so. The rumour mill was awash with whispers and gossip about the two, which was to be expected.

Not only was Miles previously undefeated in court, he was also an Alpha. Phoenix was the first Omega defence attorney in generations, which was a headline in and of itself, but folks suspected immediately that it was no coincidence that he was the first attorney to beat Miles in any case thus far. And, if Miles were being truly honest, may not be terribly far from the truth.

“You are dismissed, thank you for your efforts, both of you.” The judge nodded his head, the defence team cheering along with the crowd still, and Miles smirked and began putting the casefiles away in his briefcase. He was trying to slip out without anyone taking too much note of him, and as he watched Phoenix wave at Maya as she was taken out for processing, freedom now granted. Phoenix was quicker than Miles to leave the courtroom, heading towards the entrance, as a slew of ecstatic members of the public filed into the lobby.
The shutters of numerous cameras filled the air as the reporters rapid fired their questions at the defence attorney. As Miles gave it several minutes to calm down, he then joined the throng outside the doors, walking up to Phoenix, hand extended.

“Congratulations, Wright.” He said, just as deadpan as ever, as Phoenix flushed and accepted the hand in front of him, shaking it, and realizing just how clammy his own hands were.
“Thanks Edgeworth, you put up a good fight.” The Omega bowed his head slightly in gratitude, and Miles wondered vaguely if the faint smell of his hormones that began to permeate the air was purposeful or not. The telltale blinding lights and sounds of camera clicks around them hinted at scandalous headlines in the morning paper.

“A fight against someone who blindly swings their fists such as you was hardly in my favour from the get go. Good luck, Wright.” Miles gave another cursory glance at the Omega’s face, before turning tail to leave, his car just out front. Phoenix was unsure if that last comment was a compliment or a sneer, but before he knew it, he was enveloped by a throng of reporters demanding answers.

As soon as the courthouse was no longer in view, Miles pulled his car off the road, sitting on a side street where he could see if he had been followed or not. Once he deemed it to be safe, he pulled out his phone, calling the number he had saved in his phone that was labelled ‘Phoenix’.
After several rings with no answer, he was about to give up, when he heard the voice mail for the ‘Wright and Co Law Agency’. It would make sense then, that Wright wouldn’t answer, as he likely wouldn’t be back yet.
Curious, Miles disconnected the call and tried to look up Phoenix’s cell number, when he saw, through his rearview mirror, the spikey haired attorney riding down the street on his bike, just past the street that Miles was parked on.

Granted a new idea, Miles turned the car back on, intent on heading to a liquor store before meeting Wright at the place that he knew he could run into him.

Less than an hour later, Miles pulled up to the Wright and Co Law Agency, two bottles of wine sitting in his passenger seat. Turning the car off, he grabbed the bottles and walked up to the front door, noting that it was still unlocked, as he made his way inside.
When no one greeted him, Miles frowned. The lights were still on, so was Phoenix just irresponsible in leaving them on for the night?

“Wright? Are you here?” Miles called out, not stepping further into the office for fear of intruding. A shocked noise came from the back room, and the noise of shuffling papers filled the air briefly as Phoenix emerged from around the corner. His jacket had been shrugged off, and tie loosened, which made Miles frown...what had he been doing?

“O-oh. Hey Edgeworth, came to murder me for breaking your winning streak?” Phoenix smirked, running a hand through his hair to hide just how nervous he seemed. Miles could smell it on him...he was indeed quite nervous.

“Hardly. In fact, I hoped to...celebrate. See, I have never been defeated in court before, and ergo, I’d like to treat you to a drink tonight. To toast your...fluke.” Miles said, despite frowning at Phoenix’s poor joke, his voice betrayed nothing, and that itself took immense effort. He could smell the Omega’s telltale scent, scared and yet allured ath this proposition.

“Oh! Well, uh, that sounds fine, Edgeworth.” Phoenix coughed behind his hand, trying to suppress his true feelings, but Edgeworth could smell them anyway. Phoenix was interested.
“Great. I brought wine, but if that isn’t your speed, I find it agreeable to go out. Is Miss Maya here?” Edgeworth said, leaving Phoenix just a bit stunned. He wasn’t sure why he had expected Edgeworth to be a sore loser, but a drink? Did he have ulterior motives, or was his reaction genuine?
Maybe he was avoiding thinking about it, as the only Omega defense attorney in such a long time, he was no stranger to propositions of the sexual nature, but an Alpha such as Miles Edgeworth...the man he had had a crush on for so long...he dare not deny a simple request for drinks, lest it turn into something more.

“You...want to drink with me? Here? You know that I don’t have any of those fancy glasses right? Although if you’re cool with it, it is just you and me, Maya got released and went straight home.” Phoenix attempted to compose himself, thoughts flooding his head on what exactly it was that Edgeworth was trying to achieve. Was this genuine, or a way to get him back for ruining his perfect streak?

“I can feel your insecurity, Wright. I assure you, my motivations are genuine. In fact...I...I remember you. Before we both presented, we were in school together briefly.” Edgeworth sighed, stepping around the reception area to the consultation couches, perching on the end of the seat, placing the wine on the coffee table and opening one of them up.
Without being told, Phoenix went back to grab two coffee mugs, as those truly were the only type of glasses that they had.

He went over to the front door and locked it, closing the blinds on the window before joining Miles on the opposite couch. He watched as the prosecutor poured them both a glass, after raising an eyebrow at the mugs, but choosing to not say anything.

“For what it’s worth, I remember you too. Actually, it’s...funny, actually, and kind of sad now that I’m saying it out loud, but you’re the reason I became a defence attorney in the first place. I wanted to...I wanted to see you again.” Blushing, Phoenix took the mug of wine and chugged half of it in one go after his confession.

Stunned, Miles didn’t say anything at first, allowing himself to process the full weight of Phoenix’s words. After a moment of silence, he felt comfortable to respond.
“I’m unsure if I should be flattered, or concerned about your life decisions.” Edgeworth muttered, taking a sip of his wine as he heard Phoenix scoff and down the rest of his mug, placing it, empty, onto the coffee table with a thud. Miles leaned over to refill it as Phoenix turned his head, unable to look him in the eye.

“Considering I just beat you in court, I can’t say I understand your concern.” Phoenix scowled, looking considerably grumpier than when Miles first arrived. This wasn’t going the way he had planned, Miles panicked slightly, and in an effort to back track, he finished refilling the glass with more wine and shook his head.

“I apologize, Wright. I guess I’m just a bit bitter at the prospect of losing my first match to you. Given how the reporters are sure to have a field day with this one, and I don’t want our...our...history, per se, to invalidate everything you’ve worked for.” Miles finished off his first glass, opting to re-pour one quickly to keep up the momentum of the conversation, afraid of losing his nerve to discuss such topics.

He had been fearing the backlash from the trial the moment that he knew it was a lost cause, the moment that he knew he lost the battle. On one hand, he knew that by Phoenix winning, an innocent person wasn’t being sent to rot in jail, but on the other, that wasn’t what his job was. Not truly. He was just having a hard time putting those feelings into tangible words.

Thankfully, Phoenix was more than happy to divulge his feelings after chugging another glass of his wine, quickly coming undone, as his face flushed the more tipsy he got.
“History? What history? I chased after you for years to find you and act upon silly childhood dreams. I got nothing. We don’t HAVE history.” Phoenix said bitterly, hands slightly trembling. Miles knew that Phoenix liked him, he could smell that much, but there was so much more that he couldn’t smell, things that he had come here to figure out.

“Regardless of what you may think, paparazzi don’t care if ‘history’ is bonding over Signal Samurai as child, or if we were high school sweethearts. The point is, we knew each other, and the way things worked out with how we presented... Listen, I came here to get our story straight for the press, I don’t want you to lose your job over silly tabloid rumours.” Miles swallowed hard.
It had taken him years to get over the idea of never seeing Phoenix again, and hearing that Phoenix had been pining for so long after HIM stirred up a slurry of emotions that he wasn’t quite ready to face. Whether he liked it or not, however, it was looking like he had to face them sooner than he would be ready for.

“You really think it’s like that? I thought you’d have figured it out by now. I don’t CARE about being a lawyer, Miles. I just wanted to see you. I just wanted to know you again, do you not know how much I missed you? Didn’t you read my letters?” Quickly sounding more like a child having a tantrum, than a full grown adult, the Alpha let out a small growl in warning to the Omega, although it likely had no effect given how drunk they were both getting.

Spilling a little wine on the table as he re-poured Phoenix’s glass, Miles huffed between his teeth. He took a second to calm his nerves, as the instinct to chastise the Omega was growing strong.

“I got no such letters. I assure you that wasn’t out of malice, I...the guardian I was put in the care of, he...he didn’t like me having contact with my past life.” Miles leaned back, one hand against his forehead as a small headache began to form. He was having trouble thinking, between the alcohol and the pheromones radiating from the equally, if not more drunk Omega.

“...Well that explains some things.” Phoenix said, his words slurring a bit as he sighed. Miles briefly wondered if he was crying, as he watched him wipe his face with his hand. Glancing at the bottle, noticing that it was already empty, he didn’t reach to open the second, less they let their emotions continue to surge in such extreme waves.
“Yes, well...for the record, Wright, you seem to be a damn good lawyer, so perhaps this career is not for naught.” Miles took a moment to take in the scene in front of him. Phoenix was getting really emotional, on the opposite couch, and even though he was pretty drunk at this point, Miles could still smell a lot of what he was putting out.

Desperation, humiliation, despondency, and yet through it all, there was desire, yearning...a primal ache from within him that Miles knew so well. They were both hesitant to act, but now that the Alpha knew for sure that it was there...reciprocated. He gave them both a moment to calm down, their emotions had flared in those short few moments.

They both had finished mugs of wine in their hands, both seemingly unwilling to move for the second bottle, knowing it was a bad idea. After a beat of the uncomfortable silence, it was Phoenix who spoke first.
“So then...truly...why did you come here then?”

Miles briefly frowned before allowing a small smile to appear on his face, he knew Phoenix would want to hear it explicitly.
“I…” He swallowed hard, mouth feeling extremely dry. “I was wondering if…” He stopped, taking a deep breath. He was too drunk for this now, he could feel the tension of anticipation radiating off Phoenix, and Phoenix deserved better than a drunk confessional in his office.
He went to stand up, swaying slightly, when Phoenix jumped up off the couch, grabbing his arm desperately.

“No, please don’t go. I’m sorry, Miles, please. Just...stay.” Phoenix babbled, face redder than ever, and Miles quickly realized that the Omega really was crying.
“Phoenix, please. Let me piss, and we can talk.” Miles let his voice carry softly, placing one hand over Phoenix’s, rubbing the back of his hand with his thumb in a reassuring manner. Taking a second, likely to assure himself that Miles was telling the truth, he let go of his arm.

“Okay. I’ll be here.” Phoenix said, tone slightly dejected, but Miles tried to not look into it too hard.
He made his way to the washroom, using the time to psyche himself up as well. He finished urinating and washing his hands, and afterwards splashed his face with the cold water, hoping for it to take the edge off of his tipsiness.
He felt better after going to the bathroom, like it had taken away that whisper of nauseousness that had rooted itself in him. Steeling himself back up, Miles dried his hands and face and left the room, seeing Phoenix perched back on the couch, looking anxious as his fists were balled up on his thighs.

“I’m back, Wright. Are you feeling okay?” Miles asked, choosing to sit on the same couch as Phoenix, just on the other end. There was an electric tension coming off of Phoenix that he couldn’t quite pinpoint. The omega just sat there, face indiscernible as he nodded slowly, fidgeting in his seat.
“I uhh...this is the first time I’ve been so...drunk in a long time. I just...oh, Miles!” He cried, throwing himself at the Alpha, hands grasping at the lapels of his coat, burying his nose in the crook of Miles’ neck, practically pinning the prosecutor to the couch.

Taken aback, Miles first noticed just how intoxicated Phoenix was; the smell of alcohol permeated the air around them, as Phoenix breathed, he could smell it on his breath. Secondly, and perhaps this was his own lust taking over, but had they accidentally induced Phoenix’s own heat by getting drunk and opening up emotionally?
Admittedly, Miles had very little knowledge on Omega biology, but considering he could feel his senses getting clouded over by lust, blood pooling in his groin as Phoenix rocked against him, lips grazing the sensitive skin in his neck.

Typically, Omega’s had a built in instinct to not accost any Alpha that hadn’t made the first move, but as in all things, it appeared that Phoenix was far outside of the ordinary.
“Wright, what are you doing?” Miles asked, just in case this was being wildly misunderstood.

“Phoenix.” The Omega growled, softly nipping his neck, which caused a loud groan to shudder out of Miles’ throat.
“My name is Phoenix.” He repeated, wrapping his arms around Miles’ neck. As they got closer, Miles realized that indeed, they likely triggered a heat state within Phoenix, as he cursed himself for thinking that wine had been a good idea.

“Phoenix...what are you proposing from me?” He frowned, the desire to shove Phoenix backwards and rip his clothes off was almost overpowering. Almost.
“I want you, Miles. I’ve waited so long, so long and worked hard for this. I need you, please.” Phoenix begged, grinding himself against Miles, and that itself, feeling Phoenix’s clothed yet hard dick teasing him became too much.

He placed a hand at Phoenix’s jaw, urging him to move to face him, their noses pressing against each other as their eyes finally met, their breathing already heavy, and many unasked questions filling the space between.
Without words, Miles took the opportunity to press their lips together, feeling the way that Phoenix moved against him. It wasn’t quite yet the fervent sort of kiss that left them both messy and breathless, but it was tender, it was curiosity and care. Considering that Phoenix had just been grinding against the Alpha, body begging to be fucked, he had managed to simmer down a bit as he let Miles take the reins of their kiss.

Humming in appreciation, Miles grabbed the back of Phoenix’s neck with one of his hands, his other hand settling in the small of the Omega’s back, a safety hold, one that said ‘I’m going to protect you’, and made Phoenix gasp slightly.
As he did so, Miles took the opportunity to deepen the kiss, his tongue gently gliding over Phoenix’s bottom teeth, swallowing the moans that escaped from the Omega.

Phoenix, naturally went to submit to the Alpha, body going limp under Miles’ ministrations. He gasped and moaned with every swipe of Miles’ tongue, body filled with desire. He allowed his hair to be pulled, his body shifted and pressed against his lover, becoming pliable for whatever he desired.

“Oh, Phoenix…” Miles groaned, breaking their kiss only for a moment before surging back in, catching his bottom lip between his teeth and rutting against him, hard. Phoenix cried out loudly, arching his back as Miles continued to kiss him hard, tongue and teeth clashing as the Alpha allowed his instincts to kick in.
He wanted Phoenix, he needed Phoenix, just as badly as the Omega desired him.
“Miles, Miles, please...please…” He couldn’t finish the sentence as a loud moan of urgency overtook him, sweat beading his forehead as he rutted obsessively against his Alpha’s abdomen.

One low growl was all the warning the Omega got before Miles grabbed his shoulders and shoved him down on the couch, leaning over him and biting down hard on his throat. A cry ripped itself from Phoenix’s throat as Miles tore his necktie off, and began hastily unbuttoning the rest of his wrinkled white shirt.

“You’ve got me, sweet Omega. Is this what you want? For me to claim you, tabloids be damned?” Miles purred, placing kisses down Phoenix’s chest, stopping to nip at each of his nipples, earning himself delighted moans from the Omega below him.
Phoenix squirmed and writhed in pleasure from the barest of caresses, his scent filling the room with it’s sticky sweet aroma, indicating his desire to mate, his willingness to submit to the Alpha above him.

“Yes, claim me, mark me, please, Miles, please.” Phoenix moaned, bucking his hips up desperately as Miles reached the edge of Phoenix’s pants, nosing around his belt while his deft hands began undoing it. He had every intention of giving Phoenix exactly what he asked for, but right now he had priorities.
Shimmying Phoenix’s pants down wasn’t exactly easy, as the Omega writhed below, bucking his hips and making it impossible to move the fabric at times. Irritated, Miles moved back up and bit down hard on Phoenix’s throat, subduing him temporarily as he cried out Miles’ name.

His own dick pressing against his pants, straining against the fabric, Miles managed to get Phoenix out of his pants and boxers and then immediately went to work at taking his own off. For once, not caring to fold them up, as he dropped them unceremoniously on the floor.

Truthfully, Phoenix was his first Omega. His first true mating. As an Alpha, he had plenty of toys and supplies to help him suppress his urges, but Omega’s were finicky. Once you mated with one, they tended to latch on, and he wasn’t a family man by any means, so the idea of bedding an Omega had never appealed to him.
That being said, he had his own demons relating to Phoenix Wright, and if he were going to mate with anyone, it would be Phoenix, or no one.

“You’re so wet already, Phoenix…” Miles repositioned himself between Phoenix’s legs, one had firmly gripping the Omega’s hip, and the other softly caressing his quivering thigh. Omega’s, like Phoenix, were all intersex. They had a dick, but no balls, as where the balls would be, down through the perineum, was a sopping wet vagina. The smell alone almost sent Miles over the edge. It was musky, but sweet at the same time, almost sickeningly so.

“P-please, Miles…” Phoenix moaned, his head resting against the arm of the couch, chest already heaving as if he had been in this state for hours. Miles smirked, suddenly gaining that confidence as an Alpha, from a needy Omega below him, it was almost instinctual.

Giving a cursory swipe of his folds with his finger, Miles shifted down slightly and then gave the tip of Phoenix’s dick a quick kiss. He continued going lower, his tongue eagerly slipping between his folds, earning himself quite the vocal display from his lower.
Encouraged, Miles let his tongue explore further, through the wet heat, feeling every twitch of the muscles, every shudder that went through his body as he brought one hand up to begin giving his dick several long strokes.

The combined sensation was overwhelming, Phoenix arched his back hard, hips no longer seated on the cushions, as Miles’ tongue ran along his inner walls. His dick was weeping pre-come, acting as lube for his hands, allowing him to glide his fingers faster.
“Ahh, Miles!” Phoenix yelled, hands flying to the Alpha’s hair, bucking up against his face, trying to feel more, deeper.
Unable to go any deeper with just his mouth, Miles managed to pull away, backing off until the death grip Phoenix had on his scalp loosened. Truthfully, he hadn’t had much lasting patience either, wanting his dick to be seated inside his lover, so this was decent timing on the Omega’s part.

“Are you ready for me?” Miles purred, lining himself up with the Omega’s entrance, hardly able to contain himself as he repositioned his grip on Phoenix’s hip, only mildly concerned that he was leaving bruises.
Phoenix wrapped his legs around Edgeworth’s waist, pulling him closer, urging for him to just fuck him already.
“Yes, yes Miles, I’ve never been more ready, please.” Phoenix chanted, his heat really bringing out his desperation and his need to be filled.

Like Miles, Phoenix had also never mated with anyone before, saving himself for just the right Alpha, which, he knew deep down, was only ever going to be Miles Edgeworth.

Miles didn’t need any further persuasion, goaded on by Phoenix’s legs wrapping tighter around him. He groaned as he entered his lover, being enveloped by the sheer heat inside. He took a second to breathe, slightly worried about finishing far, far too early, as he could already feel the base of his dick filling to form a knot.
It only took him a moment to find his footing however, as he leaned forward, draping his head down on Phoenix’s shoulder, inhaling his scent as he thrust. Phoenix brought his hands up around Miles’ neck, clinging to him for dear life as he chanted his name like a prayer with each and every roll of his lover’s hips.

“Miles, yes, yes, Miles, right there!” Phoenix panted, bucking up to form a rhythm with Miles, as the Alpha shifted his hips slightly, brushing against the sensitive walls of his lover.
He felt whole, completed in a way that he never imagined he could feel, especially with another person. Each thrust, he could feel not only the pleasure rolling through his body like an electric current, but he could feel that same current flooding through Phoenix as well.
It was almost like they were conjoined, two hearts and two minds feeling every emotion with double frequency. It was almost too much, too much love, too much sensation.

He kissed Phoenix’s neck hard enough to leave several marks, claiming bites. They wouldn’t be going away any time soon, and if they were going to do this, Miles figured he’d go all out.
Dangerously close to Phoenix’s scent gland, the Omega shouted a chorus of encouragement for Miles to claim him, to bite down hard and leave a permanent mark that signified that they were together.
As tempted as Miles was, he still had just slightly enough brain power left to hold off on that for the time being, choosing instead to lift one of his hands and bring it up to Phoenix’s dick, untouched and fraught with need.

As soon as his fingers grazed the sensitive skin, Phoenix preened, begging for more, which Miles was more than happy to oblige. He could feel his knot growing, he wasn’t going to last much longer.
“Phoenix...I’m close.” He growled, speeding up his thrusts, chasing that high. The coil in his belly tightening and tightening with each passing second. It was getting harder to pull out, as his knot swelled, keeping them connected together.
“So am I...Miles, ah, I’m so close.” Phoenix panted, straining as his hands grabbed at the shorter hairs on Miles’ neck, keeping them in a tight embrace.

Miles felt his impending release, no longer able to pull out, he was viciously rolling his hips against Phoenix’s pelvis, his hand speeding up it’s rhythms, feeling Phoenix’s thighs clench as he too, careened towards his climax.
Not wanting to waste a single second, Miles suddenly bit down on Phoenix’s scent gland, hard. He felt Phoenix’s entire body contract, as he screamed Miles’ name until it echoed in the room, cum instantaneously coating not only Miles’ hand, but both of their stomachs. It was hot, too hot, Miles couldn’t contain it any longer, as his brow furrowed and eyes screwed shut as he came, knot stretching Phoenix wider than ever before.

“Ngh, Phoenix!” His voice low, but just as intimate, as he bucked erratically, riding the orgasmic high, his seed spilling into his Omega in buckets. It felt like an endless stream until his dick finally stopped overflowing, his knot keeping everything in place.
He felt Phoenix slightly convulse against him, his climax slowly ebbing away as well. Sweat sheened and exhausted, both men gave themselves a moment to even out their breathing and get their heart rates back to normal before continuing.

“How...how long does this last?” Phoenix asked, voice small and throat scratchy. Miles wasn’t sure if he meant the mark that he just made, which was permanent, as far as he knew, or his knot. He chose the safer option, the one he thought would cause the least duress.
“When I’m alone, usually about half an hour...I’ve never...this is the first time it’s been with someone, so I don’t know. It may be the same?” He said, not liking that he didn’t really know the answer, but when Phoenix hummed contentedly, he picked up on the Omega knowing, and being reminded of the fact that he was this Alpha’s first.

“That’s fine. I’m in no rush, but we might be...quite messy.” Phoenix sighed, the endorphins in his brain not allowing him to genuinely care about a little mess, and he knew, based on his reaction, that Miles felt the same.
“I have a fairly big shower, it could easily fit both of us at the same time.” Miles said casually, placing tender kisses along Phoenix’s collarbone and neck. They were light, almost chaste kisses, just to show that he still intended to show the Omega comfort.

“Miles Edgeworth, are you inviting me over to your place?” Phoenix teased, even though exhaustion was beginning to seep into his bones, making his eyelids heavy. He wasn’t sure he could wait out the full half hour until he could move.
“Well, seeing as how I’ve just made you my Omega, it would be rude of me to not encourage you to make yourself comfortable in my home.” Miles said in a very matter of fact way. He wasn’t sure if it was the post coital bliss speaking, or if he was finally able to be genuine with Phoenix, but he almost frowned at how much he was already bending over for the Omega. Was this love?

“Oh...oh shit, wait, you actually...claimed me?” Phoenix said, with an emotional tone that made Miles suddenly panic. He couldn’t truly place the exact emotion, so he sat up as best he could, eyes wide and heart racing again.

“Is that not what you asked for?” Miles asked, his voice an octave higher than normal, but thankfully, Phoenix was quick to match his near panic, tapping him on the shoulder and shaking his head.
“No, no that’s perfect, that’s fine, I just...didn’t expect...I expected you to refuse. I didn’t pay attention, but I’m happy, more than happy!” Phoenix babbled on, tears in the corners of his eyes, and Miles could feel how genuine he was being.

Happy, he was...happy, to be with him?

“I mean, this was a first for both of us, and perhaps a little rash on my part...but I don’t think I regret it.” Miles said slowly, the hint of doubt creeping in the back of his mind, but he pushed it aside for future Miles to deal with. Right now he just wanted to bask in the afterglow with his lover, who by all accounts was falling asleep in his arms.
“Hmm, well if it’s any consolation, I definitely don’t regret it.” Phoenix mumbled, the brief panic only speeding up his general sleepiness, as he turned his head to the side, eyelids fluttering closed, as Miles smiled down at him.

Any issues they had, they could deal with in the future. For now, it was nap time.
