Catra tried to fight the rising anger in her gut. She clenched her fist and closed her eyes, trying to blot out the red rage filling the corners of her vision. “Adora, if you thought for the briefest moment I was gonna wear that-”
“What? No!” Catra looked at her doubtfully. “No, not... I didn’t think you were gonna wear it...” The collar still dangled on her finger, and Adora averted her gaze with a blush. Only then did it click for Catra.
Catra smiled, something sinister and vicious and hungry. “Oh, Princess...” she purred, taking the collar from her. “You are too precious...”

Glimmer had just returned from a quick jaunt to Mystacor, and was in a cheerful mood. It was good to be Queen! At least over a peaceful Etheria! She hummed as she walked down the halls of Brightmoon, past Catra and Adora’s room.
“Sit up.” Glimmer heard Catra’s voice. “Shake.” Who would she be telling to shake? “Beg.” A whimper was just audible past their door. “Good girl!”
Glimmer paused. Did they get a dog without telling her? She LOVED dogs! She pushed open their door with glee. “You didn’t tell me you got a-”
It took a moment to register. Catra looked pretty normal, as far as Catra went, just with a leash in her hand. Adora was clothed in her leggings and white undershirt; nothing unusual there. Except for the collar around her neck and the bone-shaped cookie in her mouth as she sat on her haunches at Catra's feet.
They all stared at each other for what seemed like an eternity, but was less than a second.
Adora spit out the doggie treat. “Glimmer, it’s not what it looks like-”
Glimmer teleported herself right into the wine cellar.
