Cadiz, Spain
“So how do you plan to find them?” Landon asks as they walk throw the beach.
Hope turns to him with a smile “We don’t. They would find us. Apparently they use this beach as a place to find victims to feed for their secret meetings and especially young pretty girls.”
“Oh, in that case there is no better bait than you, the most gorgeous girl in the world” Landon answer causing Hope to blush which makes him to smile as he loves when she does it. “So just a normal beach day as a couple, it seems like a good plan”
“Yeah, until some hundreds year old vampires try to use us as food” she adds with a smile.
“If not, it wouldn’t be a date for us” Landon says as he gets closer to her until their faces are millimeters away.
Hope connects briefly their lips but quickly recoils a bit “Would you have it other way?” She asks teasing.
“Never” he whispers which causes Hope to finally kiss him passionately.
They spend all the morning just lying on the sand and taking some baths where Hope keeps trying to teach Landon how to swim, until they see that two middle-aged man that clearly look like old vampires are walking towards them.
“Preciosa, porque no te vienes con nosotros” One of them shouts to Hope that at hearing it stands up. “Sorry, I didn’t understand”.
“Parece una candidata perfecta para llevar a la reunion de hoy” One of the vampire says to the other.
Then the same one gets very close to Hope until he is at a distance for being able to compel her. “If you came with us we can give you more than he can ever dream of”, he says while pointing at Landon that was some laying to their side just waiting for Hope to act.
“He already gave me something any of you could never“ Hope answers getting even closer before getting on her tiptoes and whispering to his ear “Su corazón”.
Then immediately she extracts his heart without any hesitation dropping it to the sand. Meanwhile she does a little wrist move immobilizing the other vampire with a spell.
Suddenly Hope feels some magic and some seconds later Lizzie appears. “What are you doing here?” Hope asks clearly annoyed by her presence.
“Asking you and the mophead to come back to the school, where you belong” she answers crossing her arms waiting for her answer.
“Not anymore, after what you all did to us” Hope says with a serious tone and turns around to Landon’s direction. Then Lizzie looks around and realizes what Hope just did.
“What are you two even doing here killing people?” Lizzie asks but at seeing that Hope doesn’t react turns to Landon that had just come to where Hope was.
“Landon, you can’t be okay with this. The school is the home you were always been looking for” she argues.
Landon walks to get closer to Hope and pulls his arms over her “She is the only home I need or want. You know Lizzie, I saw how you all treat her when I was gone. And then when Malivore took over me, the moment things got hard, how your promise to help Hope dealing with it so she didn’t have to sacrifice herself dissolve into nothing. So, you all can go to hell”
This lets Lizzie with a contrary face as she wasn’t expecting from Landon. She stays some seconds thinking how to answer but before she can say anything Hope intervenes “I think everything has been said. Don’t try again Lizzie, it would be a waste of time, we are not coming back”. Then she moves her hand violently breaking Lizzie’s astral projection.
“Thanks for backing me up” she tells Landon softening her expression.
“Always” he answers before giving Hope a kiss on the tip of her nose trying to reassure her.
“Let’s comeback to you” she says to the vampire that was still immobilized. She looks directly at his eyes and compels him “Can you speak English?”. The vampire nods which leads Hope to break the spell. “Are you part of a 300 year old vampire organization that were formed here searching revenge against Klaus Mikaelson?”
“Yes”
“Where can I found all the members?” Hope continues asking.
“Tonight, we are having a meeting some kilometers from here in a beach club” he answers.
“This couldn’t be more convenient” Hope says looking at Landon that nods. “You won’t tell anything that happened here to anyone and will come back here at 9 pm to guide us to the reunion. Go” Hope ends compelling him.
“It seems we have some more free time to spend here after we deal with the body. Did you notice if anyone saw this?”
Landon looks around and confirms his suspects “No, I don’t think so. Do you want me to burn it?”
“Yes, please” Hope answers.
Landon kneels close to the body of the vampire, creates a very intense flame in his hands and then touches the body that in some seconds totally vanish into ashes.
Then Hope takes some steps towards the sea “How about continuing your swimming lessons?” She proposes while she extends her arm offering her hand to Landon.
“What do you offer for convincing me Ms Mikaelson?” Landon asks teasing her as he takes a step in her direction but without taking her hand.
“Mmmm, you already know what the rewards are” Hope answers biting her lower lip while she touches it with her other hand.
Landon takes another step so he is at distance for taking her hand. “You were absolutely right earlier” Then Landon pushes the palm of her extended hand against his chest “You own my heart”.
“You understood?” She asks shocked but with a smile.
“Yeah, in my last foster home they spoke it” Landon explains, they spend a brief moment staring at each other until suddenly Landon starts running towards the sea while laughing “Let’s go, I want to earn as many rewards as possible”
They spend some more hours at the beach, mainly teaching Landon how to swim. They come back to their hotel for preparing for the night. Hope goes to her nightstand and takes a handwritten list that seems old.
“How many names do we expect tonight?” Landon asks while he gets closer to her.
“Mainly one, the founder of the group” Hope explains as she sits in the bed. “Are you sure you want to be there while I do it? It can get very bloody”
“Hope... of course I am. There is nothing more important for me that making sure that nothing is trying to rip as apart again. This is necessary” Landon tries to convince her but sees she isn’t completely sure. So he sits down in the bed next to her and adds “Every moment I spend without you is a waste, no matter what you do I would follow you to the end of the world”.
Hope at hearing that can’t contain herself and kisses him. The kiss starts growing more passionate but when Hope squeezes his back for getting him closer, he growls in pain.
“What happens Landon?” Hope asks worried as she lifts his shirt and at seeing the origin of the pain can’t avoid a chuckle.
“Why it is so funny?” Landon asks confused.
“You got... sunburn!”
“Wait! How? I thought that being a phoenix saved me from that.” He says surprised while he creates a little flame in his hands to prove his point.
“I guess I'll add it to the list of unexplainable things about Landon Kirby” Hope answers remembering the first time she said these words with a genuine smile. “Do you want me to try to heal you?”
“Please”
Then Hope strongly bites her lip and immediately crashes her lips against his. As they keep kissing Landon feels how it heals. “Sunburning was totally worth it” Landon says as he breaks the kiss trying to to get some air.
“Yeah?”
Then Landon slightly nods just before kissing her again which lead to them spending the rest of the afternoon just enjoying themselves in the room.
When they get back to the beach they find the vampire she compelled earlier waiting for them. “Guide us to the reunion” Hope orders him so he starts walking with them following from behind. It takes around thirty minutes until they arrive in a big beach club. “Forget all that you did and saw today” Hope compels the vampire before getting to the door where two big guys are asking an accreditation to everyone that walks in.
“Ready to get in?” Hope asks Landon that nods so Hope easily compels to let them pass.
Inside they find what seems like a party with clear a classical style. After some minutes someone walks into a scenery and calls for everyone attention before starting what it seems like a speech.
“Since today we have a special guest, I will be talking in English. More than 300 years ago, Klaus Mikaelson brought his father here destroying our community while he left with his family to the new world as a coward. We swore we would get our revenge no matter long or what it would take. After he died, we thought we could never fulfill it but today the solution was gifted to us”
After those words Hope and Landon start getting nervous but before they can do anything they are suddenly surrounded by all the assistants.
“Today we end his evil lineage, his daughter” He adds with a smirk and before Hope and Landon can react, they feel a great pain that make them kneel to the ground.
They look at each other understanding what they need to do. Both throw themselves to each other, so Hope is able to hold his hand for channeling him. Immediately, with all her strength Hope makes a magic wave engulfed in fire that burns mostly everything in the room into ashes.
When the smoke clears up they get up and see that the leader is still breathing. Hope then walks to where he is lying on the floor after the attack.
“You really though that with just a pair of witches doing some spell and group of vampires you could defeat a Mikaelson?” she yells at him a bit pissed when suddenly he vamps speed to the other side of the room regrouping with other 4 vampires that survived.
“Gain me some time” he commands them causing the group of vampires to attack Hope but she quickly reacts vamp speeding towards them so she is able to extract the heart of the two that were in the center using one hand for each before they get to her.
Meanwhile the leader of group tries to vamp speed away but Landon that was watching knowing that Hope wouldn’t have any problem dealing with 4 vampires intercepts him by catching from the neck. “Not so fast” Landon says before throwing him back to the center of the room where Hope had just ended the other two vampires.
Then she freezes him with a spell, gets closer and tries to compel him “Are there more vampires in your organization?”
“I’m not telling you anything” he answers with trying to sound secure
“This explains how they discovered us” Hope says to Landon at the realization that she couldn’t compel him.
“I don’t think he deserves more of our time, if that is all they could use against us I would say you are pretty safe even if we miss a member or two” Landon argues.
“True. Do you mind burning the place more?” she asks looking to Landon.
“Of course” he accepts and starts creating a big flame with his hands. Then Hope looks at the leader and says before both leave the building “You really should had moved on from your stupid revenge against my father, and don't blame a son for their father sins ”.
They walk some minutes under the moonlight in the beach while they hear how the building burns until Hope stops for looking at the list. “Where is the next name?”
“I think in Italy”
“At least your father knew good place to choose enemies, this is becoming a very nice vacation” Landon answers with a chuckle
“Even with all the hundreds of years old Mikaelson drama?”
“That’s the best part, you know, I have a weak spot for a certain Mikaelson”
“Always?”
“And forever” He answer before they end up in another long and passionate kiss.
