Lena had dated Jack, during her college days. She likes Jack, very very much, maybe she's in love with him too. Who's not? Jack is surely a genius, they share too many same interests, they can comfortably had date for days in the lab, only in the lab.. and didn't get bored at all, maybe Jack is the purest relationship Lena has ever had because Jack clearly doesn't care about her last name.
Then it's James, James is a good man over all, he has a good image in National City, he is smart of course, he is funny, he can make Lena laugh from times to times, outside of his attitude which is sometimes a little bit childish and selfish, but over all Lena likes him too.. even though in the end they had to be apart because they had different point of views, but anyway they remained friends. After all they are "Superfriends"
And then it's Alex.
Wow... yeah it's Alex Danvers..
The sister of Kara Danvers.. the sister of Supergirl..
Lena never thought she would date Alex, despite Kara being her best friend, then being her enemy, then back to being her best friend again.. Yeah Lena may have had romantic feelings for Kara at some moments in her life, but it's not get too long of course, because Lena realized it before she fall deeper on that feeling becausecshe knows they would always be best friends regardless of their destiny as the Luthor and the Super.
But Alex... Alex Danvers made her stop thinking for a moment. She decided not to think about anything when Alex first kissed her, a drunken kiss , after James's birthday, or Winn, Lena can't really remember it right now.
But a not so Babygay Alex Danvers, kissing her that way that night, right here and right there, was probably one of the best kiss in her life. Unfortunately Lena didn't get drunk that night, she just drink two glasses of scotch, well she wouldn't get drunk with just that, and Alex was very drunk that night, she lost her two agents, but she still had to attend her best friend's birthday because Alex is always being a good friend, and then she kissed Lena behind her luxury car backseat, on their way home to Alex's, of course the busy Supergirl will leave her beloved sister to Lena to take her home, Alex couldn't have been able to ride her motorbike that night after that countless drink. And Lena hates knowing that Alex Danvers would going to forget that kiss tomorrow when she wakes up and Lena has to live with that, remembering how intoxicating an Alex Danvers kiss was, once again, let's say Babygay Alex Danvers..
But Lena can be so gratefull because it was wrong, it was Alex who always make an effort to get close to her again, after that night.. whenever she needs someone Alex is there, being a good friend while trying to be more at the same time, hard to explain..
And now Alex and Lena have been dating for two months. Everything is strange, everything she had never felt before, that strange feelings, that strange situations, that awkward but sweet moment, sometimes she only watch it on Tv with Kara, that stupid romantic comedy movie. But Lena doesn't want to think too much right now, she's done thinking too much all her life.
And today, is the most tiring day of the month at L-Corp, monthly budget reports, some failed experiments, some annoying investors. On day like this Lena used to shut everyone down, just like she did with James before. But Lena forgot that two days ago she officially gave access to her apartment to Alex, yeah Alex has known the passcode for a long time even since the day one they dated, but the passcode will be changed automatically every month, and only with a Key, Alex can have eternal access to Lena's apartment, and Lena gave the copy to Alex two days ago, no.. they didn't move in together, it's just that it would be easier for Alex to come at any time without having to wake Lena. Or she could wait for Lena inside while preparing dinner for the two of them, and sometimes the three of them with Kara.
Lena turned slowly to look at her lover in the dim light of the bedroom. Alex's eyes stared at her affectionately, almost in a way that can make her cry. They stared at each other for a moment and Alex's arms were still wrapped around her body.
"Did you got my texts?" Lena asks, her voice deep, but soft, Alex know she's more than just tired.
"The one that telling me that you had a very bad day and i should hold back?" Alex raised an eyebrow, and Lena founds it kinda cute, she almost laugh at it.
Alex didn't even need an answer.
"Oh no, you can't easily get rid of me, Ms. Luthor." Alex makes a very funny face and this time Lena is smiling for no reason.
"You can pretend to be asleep and I still would be here the whole time. So I'm ready whenever you want to share. Or if i need to kill a man for you." Alex says again, while trying to return Lena to her first position but Lena's body resisted gently, she refuses to pretend asleep just like Alex asked her to do.
Alex is so much quiter and calmer than everyone she dated before, but Alex rarely did anything not at full intensity and it included her physical affection, and Lena really likes it, so if sometimes it turned into some lovely making out session, neither was complaining.
"I heard that you played a role with one of the sexy and beautiful agent you barely know in the most romantic city in the world. So did you enjoy it?." It's Lena turn to raised an ayebrow, she is Lena Luthor, the most influential CEO in the world, and she is now in bed, in Alex's arms, wearing an oversized sweater that makes her look so small and fragile, Alex wants to take care of her all her life, if Lena ever let her.
"Yeah, and this is one of the reasons i came back here right now, so you don't think i ended up in a hotel room with an agent named Laura, and yes, she is hot by the way."
And now Lena is frowning, Alex almost wants to bite her nose for that cute pout.
"By the way, Laura eh? How do you know about the rule? Did you checked my Work Journal or it's Brainy who tell you that stuff?."
"Both." Lena answered without feeling guilty, as if it was meant to be.
"So now the infamous Lena Luthor being a protective girlfriend huh." Then it can't stop Alex to give a light kiss on Lena's lips. It's quick and sweet.
"Are you complaining?"
Alex shook her head and kissed Lena one more time, deeper this time.
But Alex stops before they can't be stopped again. She decide to give Lena a rest tonight, because Lena really needs it, Lena doesn't know since when she let Alex makes decisions for her, starting with the small things.
Lena is not a big fans of cuddling, she prefer being alone on the hard days, she doesn't like someone's body hugging her too tightly at her sleep, she feels trap, she feels tight in some ways, but it's Alex, Alex is different, the way she clung to her, tucked her body as close as possible, instead she felt protected and care for. Tonight passed in quite, but the two loverbirds familiar enough with one another now to know that they can always fall asleep that way, being in each other's arms. it's just feels... weird, Lena thinks, but it's sweet, sometimes she wants Alex only for her self, sometimes she thinks that it could be an end someday for this because a Luthor is not allowed to have a happy ending. But she just want to keep it for herself right now, having the Danvers sister in her life, and the older Danvers, as her lover.
