Chapter Text

Wearing a pretty set of lingerie will give you a huge boost in confidence, according to Ino at least. Sakura is willing to try anything at this point, so she went and bought a light green lace bra and a matching set of panties. The color is meant to be alluring and matches the color of her eyes, according to the store clerk at least.

She is on a journey to get Sasuke’s adoration. Past experiences have taught her not to be so open about her feelings to prevent herself from appearing to off-putting. Yet, nothing she has done so far has worked, which is why she has resorted to such scandalous methods. An accurate description of her current behavior would be ‘desperate’ or ‘obsessive,’ but she’s past caring. This needs to end, one way or the other.

Sakura takes a deep breathe to calm herself before knocking on the door of her teammates family home. The time is 17:54, meaning that she arrived at the perfect time for the Uchiha’s dinner meant to celebrate everyone on team seven earning their ranks as Jounin.

Mikoto wears a smile when she opens the door and lets Sakura in. Complementing how pretty she looks despite her not having done anything with her appearance and wearing a plain Jounin uniform. The blush creeping up her cheeks might be from the older woman’s kindness or from how dirty she feels coming to a family dinner with impure intentions.

The Uchiha estate is so familiar to Sakura that she might even call it her second home at this point. Navigating through the identical hallways was a challenge the first times she visited, but now she knows them like the back of her hand.

Finding her way to the dining room is easy. Sasuke is sitting on a stool, elbow resting on his knee and looking aloof as usual. Fugaku, his father, is sitting opposite of him. She takes a seat beside her teammate and flashes a big smile, and he returns her gesture with half a smile. Making her heart skip a few beats.

The dinner table is set for five people, Sasuke’s parents and team seven. Kakashi had to cancel, claiming he can’t come tonight because he’s taking care of a family emergency.

Mikoto comes out of the kitchen, carrying a bowl of stew and sets it down on the table. It looks to made out of root vegetables and bits of beef, Sakura is reminded of hungry she is when her stomach growls. The Uchiha matriarch always makes delicious meals, and this will no doubt be different.

The sound of knocking lets everyone know that Naruto is here, arriving just in time. Sasuke volunteers to go and let him in and his loud shouts fill the house the instant he steps inside the door.

“Sorry for almost being late!” Naruto apologizes profusely before taking a seat next to Sakura, who shakes her head at her teammate’s antics. No one could have foreseen that the lonely boy prone to lashing out would grow up to become a man who lights up every room he enters. He has come so far, they all have. That’s the reason they are here to celebrate.

“Well, I think it’s time to eat now that everyone’s here.” Mikoto announces to her guests and family. Removing the lid from the pot and proceed so serve everyone at the table.

Naruto digs into is food without waiting, which earns him a scolding from Sasuke. His parents have gotten used to the Uzumaki’s wild behavior and aren’t offended by it anymore. Sakura tries to not let it show how impatient she is by not eating the food to fast. Desperate to get past dinner and have a chance for some alone time with Sasuke while they are drinking tea.

The dinner goes by without a hitch, other than the awkward small talk that every get together like this somehow requires. A simple question from Mikoto regarding their plans for the future turned into a rant about how Naruto’s going to be Hokage one day. Which then evolved into a lengthy discussion of whether he’s worthy of Obito’s position or not.

Sasuke’s mostly saying teasing remarks for old times’ sake rather than making any valid points like his father is doing. Sakura is fine with not participating, instead sitting on the sidelines, enjoying her food.

An hour has passed when Mikoto finally hints that she would appreciate help with cleaning up the dishes. Naruto bounces at the opportunity to be of service while Sakura volunteers to help make tea. Sasuke is less enthusiastic about helping with the dishes, but he does it regardless.

Fugaku excuses himself to go run some paperwork by the Hokage tower, politely thanking them for a pleasant evening. His son’s teammates say their goodbyes as Sakura carries a tray of cups and a tea pot out to the tearoom.

Team seven settle down to drink their tea while Mikoto retires to the bedroom, making sure to remind them not to get too loud and crazy. A warning that isn’t as necessary like it was during their Genin days.

Sasuke opens sliding door to let in some fresh air into the stuffy room. The sun is setting on this late May evening, taking the daylight warmth along with it. The pretty colors of the sunset reflect so beautifully on the water of the koi pond.

Sakura brings the cup to her lips, the pleasant taste of green tea helps her forget about the uncomfortable undergarments she’s currently wearing. Naruto has to be told to keep his voice down multiple times by both her and Sasuke while he’s in the middle of telling an outrageous story.

She sneaks a glance the Uchiha every now and then, gaining a reading on his mood as she is waiting for the perfect opportunity to present itself. Luck seem to be on her side tonight as she doesn’t have to wait very long for the right moment.

“Nature’s calling, I’ll be back in a few!” Naruto says before stumbling towards the direction of the bathroom, leaving his teammates alone. Sakura shuffles towards Sasuke, this is the chance she have been waiting for, she can’t let it slip by now.

“There’s something I’ve been meaning to tell you.” Sakura says while leaning closer, her voice sounding weak and small, so very unlike her. The object of her affection turns his head to look at her, wearing a blank expression on his face. “Sasuke, I-”

“Well, if it isn’t my favorite team of genin I see over there!” A voice call out that interrupts the start of Sakura’s confession and makes her pull back. She twists her head to where the voice came from so she can stare down the pesky newcomer and her day takes a swan dive for the worst.

From the opposite side of the garden comes Itachi and Shisui, the two people Sakura could do without tonight. They’re guaranteed to keep her from speaking alone with Sasuke again this evening if they stick around. The former isn’t so bad all things consider, he’s been pleasant dealing with the few times they have spoken. Sakura’s issues lies with their elder cousin.

Shisui has a reputation for being rather promiscuous, changing partners as frequently as one would change clothes. A serial heartbreaker and a known homewrecker. His wicked charm and good looks keep them coming back for more. He’s everything Sakura’s mother warned her about, everything a good girl like her shouldn’t want.

Sex should only happen between two people who are married, and you must remain pure until your wedding day. No man would ever want damaged goods after all, according to her mother’s teachings.

Sakura has committed herself to staying pure, going as far as never having played with herself. Because she is a good girl and men like Shisui only want to deceive her, to divert her from the rightful path.

“Actually, we’re all Jounin now that Naruto passed his exam.” She says sheepishly as the pair comes out to the patio. Trying to hide how she’s silently fuming over the chance she worked so hard for slipping in between her fingers. Shisui gives her a brief look that she can’t quite decipher.

“Is that so… Where is he anyway?” He doesn’t need to wait for an answer to his question as footsteps too noisy for a Jounin can be heard closing in on them. Naruto is still fumbling with his belt when he returns from the bathroom, his eyes lighting up in excitement when he sees the two older Uchihas.

“Hi guys! Nice seeing you here, take a look at this!” He beams as he is showing his new Jounin vest, that has somehow gotten really dirty despite only receiving it this morning. Both Itachi and Shisui gives Naruto genuine congratulations, patting him on the back for a job well done.

The trio sits down beside Sasuke and start talking about Naruto’s exam in detail. Sakura tunes out their conversation and takes a sip out of her cup, the tea having gone cold. Getting lost in her thoughts to the sound of running water coming from the koi pond.

This evening hasn’t been a complete waste, since Sakura has concluded that fancy underwear doesn’t increase your confidence. Instead doing the complete opposite in making her more insecure and dirtier. Not to mention the yucky stickiness that have gathered between her thighs.

“Hey Sakura-chan, are you even listening?” Naruto’s exclaims, bringing Sakura out of her self-pitying thoughts. His face is so close to hers that they’re nearly touching, an eyebrow raised.

“Sorry, my mind was somewhere else.” Sakura responds, not bothering with trying to pretend that she was listening.

“We’re going to go spar, you coming?” Naruto repeats himself before standing up to his full height. Looking up, Sakura can see that the others are standing around, waiting for an answer.

Sparring could help with getting rid of the awful feeling, but a cold shower would also suffice. Then there’s still two medical reports that needs to be done by tomorrow and she doesn’t feel like fulling an all-nighter again.

“I’ll have to take care of a couple things before bed. So I can’t join you guys, sorry!” Sakura says apologetically before uttering her good-byes and making her exit while simultaneously ignoring Naruto’s big pout.

The sun have disappeared behind the horizon by the time Sakura has left the Uchiha district. She waves to a single officer standing guard a few meters from the gate before continuing her way home.

Jumping across rooftops would be faster but Sakura decides to take a different route home. A long walk will help clear her head, something she desperately needs right now. The sunlight may be gone but the village sure isn’t ready to sleep just yet.

Sakura is walking down a busy street when she passes by a group of men who are in the process of bar hoping, judging by the faint stench of alcohol and stagger to their walk. At age twenty it’s entirely legal for her to drink but she chooses not to. Alcohol is bad for your health and impede your judgement, making it easier for others to take advantage of you.

‘I don’t want to wake up bent over somewhere with no recollection of how I got there and with a man’s filth running down my thighs like mother warned me about.’

The crowd is getting a bit too much, so Sakura adverts her path into a nearby alley way. Its poorly illuminated and she really shouldn’t be going down an isolated road alone. A full-fledged Jounin like her have nothing to fear, and she doesn’t need to tell anyone where she has been since she live alone.

The audible thud noise causes Sakura to jump, her back slamming against the fence and fists raised in a protective stance. Her hands falls to her sides when she sees Shisui standing in front of her all casually, as if he didn’t almost send her to go into cardiac arrest.

“You scared me.” Sakura barks at him, trying to calm her beating heart. She’s backed into a wall and he’s standing a bit too close for comfort. There’s no one else around in this secluded alley accept for the two of them. The sound coming from the main street is barely audible over the pounding in her ears.

“Sorry! Sasuke and Naruto thought you acted a little odd earlier and asked me to come check on you.” Shisui says sheepishly, rubbing the back of his head and flashes a cheeky smile. While still lingering within her personal space.

Men like Shisui have a habit of distorting the truth to better suit their ambitions, therefore Sakura must take everything he says with a grain of salt. Otherwise she risk getting herself charmed into his bed.

“I’m fine, just a little exhausted from work that’s all.” Her voice falters a bit when she utters the words. Shisui’s closeness is to blame as he has decreased the distance between them, standing close enough to touch but not close enough to cage her in.

The intensity of his gaze leave Sakura speechless, she wants to advert her eyes but is unable to look away. A twitch of a smirk comes and goes on his lips, igniting something filthy within her that she immediately wants to repress.

“You can’t fool me sweetheart. The boys may be to oblivious to notice but I can see what has been bothering you.” Shisui states with a level of certainty that makes her knees weak.

“Oh really? Tell me then.” Sakura demands, summoning a bit of confidence behind her words. Taking the bait with the hopes that she’ll prove him wrong and bruise his ego, if only just by a little.

“You’re sexually frustrated, plain and simple.” Shisui’s statement startles her the same way her alarm clock does when it goes off in the morning. Suddenly she feels disoriented and out of breath. She should have taken the fast route home, she now realizes.

Sakura must be blushing because his smirk arrives in full force this time. The smugness radiating of him as he silently gloats in being able to throw her off balance so easily. Waiting for her to try to wiggle herself out of this predicament.

“Yo-you are wrong.” What was meant as a loud declaration of Sakura’s modesty comes out as a kitten weak mess of words. Shisui’s not convinced and instead takes a step forward so their bodies are almost touching, his hands are stuffed in his pockets.

Sakura isn’t sure as to why, maybe he wants her to feel like she has an out. Or perhaps he’s just messing with her, not wanting to do anything inappropriate at all. Shisui leans in and she shudders when his warm breathe can be felt against her neck.

“Sex is entirely natural and there’s no shame in wanting it, no matter what you’ve been lead to believe. ” He whispers into Sakura’s ear and her eyes widens in shock. ‘How can he possibly know about that, he shouldn’t, unless…’

“You been stalking me.” She accuses Shisui, who has pulled back to look her in the eyes. Her allegation makes him chuckle.

“I’ll admit that I’ve an unhealthy habit of watching people who catch my interest, which you seem to have done a lot recently.” He confesses with a lopsided grin, and she is stunned for words.

His statement throws Sakura for a loop, she knows how much of a flirt the man is and how his words most likely means nothing in the long run. Love is all a game to him, a game he can play so well that he can do it with his eyes closed.

Still, he has her conflicted, not sure what to think of him. The logical part is screaming for her to not fall for his charm, while the butterflies in her belly and heat in between her thighs says to take the leap.

Her curiosity gets the better of her this time.

“Why me?” Sakura asks, her voice barely above a whisper. Not caring if the desperation for validation is visible in her eyes. The late spring breeze travels through the alley, making her shiver. Shisui reaches to tug a stray lock of her that was dislodged by the wind back behind her ear.

“I’m intrigued by your deep need to please, always doing the extra for your patients, friends, and others around you. Especially if it means you’ll get the praise you so desperately crave.” Shisui says and Sakura cannot argue against what he said because it’s true.

There is a rooted want within her to be of service to others, an internal drive so strong that it sets her apart from her colleagues and friends alike. A personality trait that was sharpened by her desire to prove everyone that she wasn’t weak anymore.

“And why exactly are you so fascinated by me wanting to help others?” Sakura utters the question with a tang of venom, in an attempt to hide how hot he makes her body feel. Shisui leans in, stopping right before their lips touch.

“I want to know your limit, see how far you’re willing to push yourself to please me.” He admits against her lips. Her heart sinks and her thighs clamp together at his confession.

“So, you only got bad intentions for me.” Sakura concludes with her eyes narrowed, the words taste dry and bitter on her tongue.

“Me, bad intentions? No, I only want to set you free.” Shisui laughs, his raspy tone leave behind a wicked promise in the air as he disappear into the night. The ghost of a kiss can be felt on her lips.

The lingerie were thrown deep into Sakura’s closet to be forgotten and the medical reports didn’t get done until the crack of dawn.

The white corridors of the hospital and smell of disinfectant always bring a certain calm to Sakura’s state of being. This is her playing field, this is where she makes a real difference. ‘Where she pleases others,’ the words echoes in the back of her mind as she prepares her office for the next patient.

Three days have passed since that cursed encounter with Shisui and Sakura has been unable to get his words out of her head. He has successfully planted himself into her consciousness to the point where she had trouble sleeping and she despises him for it. Still, the mischievous promise of ‘setting her free’ has her more intrigued than she is willing to admit.

The sound of knocking pulls Sakura out of her thoughts and she throws a quick glance at the clock hanging above it, reading 06:59. ‘Amazing how the both of them can make it in time nowadays.’ Raising to her feet, she opens the door to let Obito and Kakashi in, the latter carrying her intended patient in a baby harness.

Rin Uchiha is a bubbly eight-months-old girl who are her fathers’ pride and joy. With dark eyes and unruly black hair tied back in twin tails, she is the exact image of her biological dad. She got her surrogate mother’s nose though.

“Good morning sensei, Hokage-sama. What brings the three of you to my office today?” Sakura already knows the reason for their visit today but says the normal curtsies anyways for routines sake. She gestures for them to take a seat while she sits down in her chair by her desk.

“Rin’s been coughing up a storm the last three days and she’s got a stuffy nose.” Obito begin to list her symptoms and Sakura writes it down in her notepad.

“Does she have a fever, any kind of a rash?” She can see Rin making a fuss and giving Kakashi a hard time in the corner of her eye. Can’t blame her though, she must be really uncomfortable.

“She had a high fever but it has since gone down and there’s something akin to a rash on her chest.” Kakashi interjects as he is putting a pacifier into Rin’s mouth, only for it comes shooting out moments later.

Sakura has always wanted a family of her own for as long as she can remember. A couple of kids to fill the house with laughter and mischief and a dotting husband who she had saved herself for. A crystal-clear image that has only recently been tarnished by a certain individual.

“Well, let’s have a look. If you could be so kind to put Rin on the examination table over there and remove her shirt for me please.” She says her instructions and gets up on her feet and goes over to the steel table.

Kakashi unhooks Rin from the harness and sets her down upright on the table, her hot pink shirt goes over her head with minimal protest. Small pink spots cover the center of her chest, giving Sakura a distinct idea of what she’s dealing with. She takes her temperature just to be safe and is delighted when the display shows no sign of a fever.

“Good news, it looks like Rin’s got a mild case of roseola and the worst part is over. I can treat the rash but you have to wait for the other symptoms to go away on their own.” Sakura explains and the two men let out a combined sigh of relief.

She gets to work, summoning cooling chakra into her hands to inject into Rin to ease any discomfort. The little girl stops fidgeting immediately once the soothing chakra enters her body.

“Aw, does that make you feel better little tulip?” Kakashi coos, moving his hand to pet Rin on the hand but she swipes his hand away. Making her sensei pout under his mask and Obito lets out a cackle.

“What can I say, she got my attitude.” Obito is practically beaming with pride, hands on his hips and chest puffed out. The Hokage’s husband is a lot less amused.

Sakura faces away from the couple as they start to bicker, a tiny smile grows on her lips. It’s funny how two married men in their mid-30s can go at it like they’re fresh graduates of the academy. Trading childish insults at each other is part of their love language, it seems. She tunes out their light-hearted arguing so she can focus on making the rash on their daughter disappear.

The blemishes shrink until healthy skin appear underneath to replace the damaged tissue. This routine procedure have taken a lot out of Rin, who is struggling to stay upright. After finishing the treatment, Sakura hands back the half-asleep baby to her parents.

“Thank you Sakura-chan, don’t know what me and the ‘wife’ would do without you.” Obito smiles and Kakashi frowns while Rin is back in her harness and sound asleep. The context behind that comment is entirely lost on Sakura.

“You know that’s it’s rude-”

“Silence!”

Kakashi rolls his eyes affectionately at the Hokage’s antics before the both of them take their leave. Sakura sends them off with a wave as she is closing her office door, letting a huge sigh escape her once she’s all alone.

Her thighs are aching but not from over exhaustion. She sinks back into her chair, needing to work in order to distract herself from that pulsating desire between her legs. Trying to keep herself busy doesn’t work, since she is unable to focus long enough to get anything done.

‘Curse him and his stupid words.’

As if affecting her sleeping schedule was enough, he also has to slither his way into all aspects of her life, including work. Sakura take a quick glance at the clock overhead and scowls when it shows the time as 7:43. This will surely be a slow day.

She shouldn’t have jinxed herself, because her day turned out to be just that and a lot worse.

Planned appointments got canceled and scheduled surgeries got moved to another date. There were no official tasks for Sakura to do, so she was left to roam the hallways looking for anyone in need of her assistance. And when that proved to be futile, she had to resort to reorganizing filing cabinets and cleaning her office.

Sakura should be feeling content after a long day’s work after she left the hospital at 17:00, but instead she felt restless and unfulfilled. The aching hindered her from enjoying unusually calm shift and she knows who’s to blame. Shisui is a toxin that she has to get out of her system, on way or the other.

“Oi Sakura-chan!”

‘Speaking of the devil.’

She didn’t hear him approach until he calls out to her and then he’s at her side within a second. It’s almost freaky how fast he moves without meaning to. He must just have left work since he is still wearing his police uniform, the red and black cloth around his hips granting him the title of deputy chief. Making him second in command in the police force.

“I want to speak to you about the toxicology report you sent back to us two days ago.” Shisui states with a tilt to his lips as he’s walking alongside her down the busy street leading from the hospital.

He’s talking about the report she struggled to finish after their “conversation”. It wasn’t as thorough as she would have liked it to be, but it should be more than adequate to be of use.

“Do you disagree with any of the report’s contents?” Sakura asks as she continues down a different street leading to her apartment, making sure not to go into secluded alley ways this time around.

After a civilian man was found stabbed to death behind a restaurant four days ago, the police requested that a toxicology report be made alongside the autopsy. In order to determine if he had been involved in a drunken brawl that took place the same evening in the bar next door. The deceased had a high alcohol level when he died.

“No, it was really helpful to our investigation, we’ve already made an arrest. I wanted to speak to you about how it was written.” Shisui clarifies with a smug expression on his face. If he’s aiming to rile her up then he has definitely succeeded.

“What is that supposed to mean?” Sakura cocks an eyebrow as she tries to mask the annoyance in her voice, Coming to a stop right before her destination. She lives in a modest apartment complex, situated within a five-minute walking distance to the general village hospital.

“The aggressive use of language and hasty handwriting tells me that the author was dealing with quite a lot of pent-up frustration at the time it was written.” Shisui peers down at her through half-lidded eyes, his aggravating smirk only growing larger.

The implication behind his words are not lost on Sakura, who is absolutely fuming on the inside. He’s right about her dealing with a lot of unwanted emotions stemming from their conversation, emotions that have since overstayed their visit.

The street below her apartment isn’t as crowded as the main roads are, but there are enough people around to keep him from trying anything. Instead he’s just silently observing every move she makes, every emotion that crosses her face. All while still bloody smirking at her, acting as if he’s already won the game he’s playing with her.

“I know of something that will free you of your grievances…” Shisui presents a solution to Sakura’s persisting problem, dangling it in front of her like a scheming anglerfish. Mother thought her better than to allow herself to be consumed by a smooth talker like him.

However, the intense need to understand what he means with ‘I want to set you free,’ is slowly driving Sakura insane. A single nibble on the fruit of temptation would be enough to satisfy her, making it possible for her to return to being the good girl her mother taught her how to be.

She gives in by only a little, because she needs to know how he plan to set her free.

“What are you suggesting?” Sakura tries not to let the excitement growing in her stomach override the blank expression of disinterest she’s wearing on her face. Shisui chuckles before leaning in. People stare at them as they walk past but neither of them could care less at the moment.

“Sparring is sure to let out some steam, meet me at training ground seven at six o’ clock.” Shisui tells Sakura before flickering away, not sticking around to wait for an answer.

Because he knows that he has her hooked, there’s no option of turning back now. She has agreed to play his game and therefore need to stick around until the end, regardless of if she wants to or not.

*****

Years of neglect and lack of use has caused training ground seven to be overgrown with various types of vegetation. Waist-high weeds and thorny bushes cover the unkempt field, concealed roots and discarded weapons make navigating the area another challenge in its own.

Shisui is sitting on a fallen tree, idly sharpening a kunai. He’s not wearing his flack vest nor his waist cloth, opting to just wear his steel-toed boots, shinobi slacks and the police assigned sweatshirt. His sleeves are rolled up to his elbows and Sakura tries not to stare at the muscles in his forearms as she approach.

“Taijutsu only. No chakra infused punches or kicks for me and no illusions or Sharingan for you.” She states her conditions for the fight, her outstretched fingers form into fists as she tests out her new leather gloves.

Shisui meets her gaze with a foxy grin on his lips. The kunai in his hands goes soaring past Sakura’s head, nicking the shell of her ear. She gasps and stumbles backwards a little. ‘I never saw him move to throw it.’ The cut isn’t deep enough to bleed, nor was it meant to be.

Intended as a silent promise of having no intention of holding back. Sakura needs to stay on her toes and put all of her training to good use if she wish to stand a chance against Shisui. This is more than a friendly sparring session, he has something planned for her and she need to know what exactly.

“You want to beat the hell out of me that badly, huh? Fine, I accept your conditions.” Shisui chuckles, a rich sound emanating from his chest. Causing her abdomen to tighten, reminding her of why she is her, to rid herself of her new-found temptation.

He moves to stand up, crossing his arms behind his head to stretch. An ominous sight, much like a big cat licking their paws clean in preparation to go hunt. She receives no warning before he pounces.

Shisui closes the short distance between them in an instant and Sakura has hardly any time to block the incoming punch aimed for her ribcage. The second hit comes at her a little too fast, forcing her to leap backwards to avoid a direct hit. She winces in pain from her bare ankle coming in contact with thorns, scraping her left heel.

He follows her into the air, delivering a kick that throws Sakura off balance. She lands awkwardly on her side, resulting in her shirt getting ripped open to reveal some of her chest binding underneath. The leg swipe meant to knock him off his feet fails to connect, as he easily side steps and grab a hold of her ankle.

Sakura donkey kicks at him in an attempt to free herself from his grip. Only for Shisui to capture the other leg as well. He has her pinned down on the ground before she has a chance to struggle in his hold.

Using his own body to immobilize her lower half by pressing his hips against her own, her legs flailing wildly on either side of him. Both of her wrists are secured above her head with one hand while the other is holding a kunai to her throat. Signaling her defeat.

Shisui had bested her in less than a minute, showing Sakura how outclassed she really are in simple hand-to-hand combat. If she had used her super strength, the outcome may have been different. Yet, she agreed not to, therefore she reap what she sow.

“All bark and no bite. Your skills failed to measure up to that attitude of yours.” Shisui taunts her with a smirk on his face. Choosing to pocket the kunai but not to release his hold on her, instead keeping her pinned beneath his body.

“Yeah, yeah, congratulations you won this fight.” Sakura scoffs up at him. The predatory grin that appear on his face tells her that he plan on staying put. Because he has her exactly where he wants her.

They’re still playing Shisui’s game and Sakura can’t do anything accept wait for his next move. The compromising position of their bodies is made apparent to her when something hard is pressed into her thigh.

“You aren’t trying to push me away. Tell me if you want me to stop.” He whispers as his expression morphing into something a little softer.

Confusion is all over Sakura’s face, she has no idea of what to think of him. He’s not as pushy about crossing boundaries as she initially thought. Operating within her comfort zone while at the same time challenging her to expand it.

“I don’t know if I want you to stop.” Sakura speaks her thoughts out loud, laying out her inner confliction for him to see. Shisui releases his hold on her wrists and leans in until his lips touch the small cut on the shell of her ear.

“Now here’s your problem, sweetheart. There’s a severe disconnect between your body and your mind. You can’t decide between what you want and what you’ve been taught to want.” He speaks the words against the delicate skin, sending a jolt of electricity straight down to her core.

“Oh don’t pretend to care about me, you’re only concerned with acquiring another notch in your belt.” Sakura hisses out the words through gritted teeth, her verbal protest turn into whines as Shisui’s mouth travels along her jawline. Only the warmth of his breath can be felt, his lips just out of reach.

Her heart is picking up the pace to keep up with her heavy breathing. The ever-growing heat in her belly causes her hips to buck into his, still he refuses to lower his lips. A desperate wail escapes her as the frustration within her expands, soon to take over her entire being.

“You’re a beautiful songbird, imprisoned in a cage and forced to sing tunes that your captors taught you.” Shisui speaks as his mouth moves towards her cheek, slowly drifting to the corner of her lips. Sakura is hanging onto each and every word he says with that sinful tone of his.

“I will take the cage apart little by little. Until you’re brave enough to leave your prison on your own terms.” She closes her eyes, permitting herself to let go and just feel. His lips are now lingering above her own, so close but still too far.

“And when you do, I want you to fly to my windowsill and sing the tunes your heart desires.” Shisui leaves Sakura waiting for a kiss that never comes. Her eyes are blown wide open when the weight and warmth of his body disappear. She lets out a loud cry of frustration from him vanishing on her yet again, not caring if anyone’s around to hear her.

Sakura’s curiosity is greater than ever before, the meaning behind Shisui’s words is all she thinks about as she makes her way back home. It takes a twenty-minute cold shower, a cup of chamomile tea, and a sleeping pill to calm the tremendous want within her enough to finally pass out from exhaustion later that night.

Notes:

Thank you for reading this experiment of mine, wanted to test out having a build up instead of getting straight into the cheek clapping like I usually do. I also wanted to expand on promiscuous Shisui I did in baby fever and added a sexually repressed Sakura to the mix.
