Work Text:
Tenko stirred early that Friday morning, beams of light shining through her half open window almost blinding the newly woken girl. She turned on her side to avoid the light, only to be met with another person. It startled her at first, nearly falling out of the bed at the sight of one of her classmates laying next to her:
Miu Iruma.
Of all the people that she had woken up next to, it was Miu Iruma. Probably the last person she expected to ever have in her bed. How did that even happen? Her mind traced back to the night before, trying to piece together each event in order: getting the invite to Kaede’s party, going along with Angie and Himiko, then one drink, maybe another—how many did she have?—she found Miu in the bathroom throwing up, took her back to her dorm, and the dozens of hickeys left across Miu’s neck and chest were enough to fill in the rest of the gaps.
Tenko gasped softly, did she? No she couldn’t have, she knew better than anyone not to do anything with someone who was as drunk as Miu was, only degenerates did that and she always made a conscious decision not to be like them. She looked down at herself, she was still decently dressed, left with a pair of shorts and a sports bra.
She averted her eyes back to Miu, praying that she as well was still covered, and to her relief she was. Left with a pair of Tenko’s shorts and one of her aikido tank tops. Tenko let out a sigh of relief as she looked back up to Miu’s face. The blonde looked oddly peaceful in her sleep. Her hair laying across the pillow, bangs gently falling to the side of her face. Her left arm lay under her head, propping her up slightly, and her right pulled into her chest, covering a good amount of her cleavage—which was probably a good thing.
Tenko’s tank top was much too small on her, the neckline of it just barely covering her breasts, leaving very little to Tenko’s imagination and—god she was staring now.
She pulled her eyes from Miu’s chest, bringing her eyes back up to her face. The expression had yet to change. Her brows unfurrowed, eyes gently closed, and a small smile across her lips. Whatever she was dreaming about was clearly something that made her happy. Or at least happy enough to put her into this state.
Tenko watched the girl contently, her eyes slowly falling from her closed eyes to her lips. They looked so soft, and she wondered what they tasted like. Strawberries maybe? No, probably not, her pink lipgloss was smeared across her lips and down her chin, meaning that whatever the shiny gloss tasted like, Miu more than likely tasted like that as well. But that didn’t stop her from hoping, and there was only one way to find out.
Kiss her.
No stop.
Do it.
Stop.
Tenko shook her head, she wouldn’t, not without Miu’s knowing. But when she looked over her shoulder to her clock, seeing the time read 11:43 she knew she had to wake her soon enough. Sure she didn’t have class until two, but lord only knew what time Miu had class, if she had it at all.
Tenko lifted her hand to shake Miu, but her arm stopped before she could.
Kiss her.
Stop.
She closed her eyes, shaking her head again, trying to quite literally shake the thoughts away.
Do it.
But when her eyes opened again she found herself centimeters away from Miu’s face. How had she leaned in. Her face flushed, but she couldn’t bring herself to pull away.
Just do it, she’ll hardly feel it, she’ll never know.
No.
“God, if you won’t fuckin’ do it, then I will.” Miu’s loud voice rang throughout the room but before Tenko could even comprehend what was said Miu’s lips were pressed firmly against hers and Tenko didn’t hesitate once before kissing back.
Her lips tasted much, much, stronger than strawberries, perhaps it was a bit of alcohol lingering from last night, she had mentioned having a few drinks right? But despite the strong taste, Miu’s lips were definitely soft. And of all the girls Tenko had kissed before, Miu was by far the best. The way her lips moved so gently, in sync with Tenko’s own. It was amazing. She was amazing.
The kiss ended all too soon, Miu pulled away with a sigh, “You’re not too bad of a kisser, shit-tits.” She smirked, using the back of her palm to wipe away the lip gloss stain from her mouth.
“Uhh, thanks?” Tenko questioned the girl’s half-compliment, “I’m sorry for staring by the way…”
Miu snorted at Tenko’s apology, seemingly brushing it off at nothing, “people stare at me all the time, I mean who wouldn’t?! Besides, you were looking for so long, I was starting to get a little impatient. I really thought you were gonna chicken out and not do it.”
“Well I didn’t wanna do it and you not want it, or–”
“Tenko!” The inventor snapped, doing her best to keep in giggles, “look at my neck! What part of this says I don’t want it?” Miu laughed, causing a deep blush to spread across the aikido-master’s face, the nervousness from earlier returning. “I’m only messing with you Tenko, I’m glad you care so much. Anyone else would’ve just done it without second guessing. And of all the people I would’ve had to wake up to staring at me, I’m happy it was you.”
The brunette looked back at the inventor, a genuine smile displayed on Miu’s face. Tenko had never seen the girl smile like this before, it wasn’t fake, or forced, it was real, and she had caused it.
Tenko hummed in appreciation, looking back to her clock, then to Miu, remembering her original reason for wanting to wake Miu up, “do you have class today?”
The inventor shook her head and scoffed, “Naw, I have Fridays off, but if you need me to go I can–” she offered pulling the covers off of her, climbing over Tenko to get out of the bed,
“Oh you don’t have to, I don’t have class for a while!” Tenko interrupted, catching Miu’s arm before she could get too far. The strawberry blonde turned to face the aikido-master, smiling. She pondered for a second before speaking again,
“Cool, then I expect to see you at the café down the road at 12:30, I’m gonna need a coffee after the night I’ve had.” Tenko dropped her hand at the offer, shocked at what Miu had said.
“Like a date?” Something within Tenko prayed it was, she hardly knew this girl and somehow she had seemed to fall for her overnight. Literally. Miu paused again, now it was her turn to blush,
“I mean, if you pay, sure, it’s a date.” She smiled, grabbing her last night’s clothes from the floor, “and I’ll give you these back then.” She gestured to the two sizes too small tank top and shorts which Tenko finally got a better look at. Her shorts hugged her hips tightly, and the left strap of the tank top had fallen down her shoulder, exposing much of Miu’s skin.
Even though the shirt was too small on Miu, it framed her well, and Tenko was tempted to tell her to keep it, if it wasn’t for the fact it had the words “Hopes Peak University Athletic Department” printed across it. Somehow Miu still managed to pull it off, even with the dozens of bruises running down from her jaw to her—god dammit she was staring again.
Tenko blinked, trying to snap herself back to reality, coming back just in time to watch as Miu headed towards the door, belongings in hand, “Wait, Miu!” She called out, causing the other to pause with her hand on the door knob, “you might want to uh…” Tenko pointed to her neck and Miu looked down at her own, blushing, but nodded nonetheless.
“Huh, that’s gonna be hard to deal with,” she mumbled, walking back over to the brunette placing one last small kiss to her lips, “Don’t be late.” And with that, left the dorm, leaving Tenko with the taste of alcohol lingering on her lips. Maybe waking up next to Miu wasn’t such a bad thing.
