Kim Doyoung always thought that his high school life will be the best time on his youth, hence he promised himself to make lot of good memories that he will cherish forever, making lot of friends and experienced his school life to the fullest since he only live once. But turned out, God has another fate for him and as everything he always imagined, suddenly crumbled down when he got that damn curse on his 17th year birthday. The curse that already written as his fate, even far before he was born.
Long before Doyoung was born, his Kim family got a cursed from being an asshole to a woman that turned out a witch. Doyoung was told that his great great great grandfather was a handsome noble man but a biggest cassanova at his time. He successfully seduce women and made them fall over heels with him then just left them without a word. He was acting like conquering women’s heart was a mission for him. When his mission accomplished, he would move away and left that woman to unlock another hearts of the poor women. He was so famous back then, but obviously not in a good way since a lot of women and family despised him. And as if not afraid of karma, he kept doing that, not until he met that witch and got a cursed from her in return of breaking her heart tho. After he got that cursed, he begged that witch for forgiveness for months, crying his heart out and promised he will never doing it again and will live a quiet life from now on, but that witch could not forgive him completely and told him she cannot undo it since the spell had already been casted. But she told him the only cure of it tho, which was he have to find his true love, the one that he really loves and loves him back and kiss her before he turned 20 or else, he will stay like ‘that’ forever and no one will love him until he died. And ‘that’ here is become a woman for the rest of his life. Yup, the most suitable cursed for a cassanova like him.
Fortunately, his great great great grandfather successfully break his curse, he finally met his love of life, life a quiet life with her in the countryside and promised to be a decent man for the rest his life. He happily thought that finally his misery fate is ended since he broke that cursed, but little that he knows, that cursed will be continuously haunted his descendants and it will just totally stopped at his 7th generation of descendant. And thanks for his great great great grandfather, Doyoung is also has the taste of that cursed, eventho fortunately he will be the last one from his family that got that curse.
About the curse, that special curse is only passed down to a man of a direct descendant of his great great great grandfather, as if like a punishment for violating his gift of being a handsome man. That curse will choose one of the most handsome men from the direct descendant and it will be activated when they turned 17th years old. What a nice family gift right?! And when you got that gift, on every Sunday, you will be turned into a girl or woman form of yourself! And yup, you have to enjoy that and patiently waiting for Monday to change back into your original form, which is handsome boy or man. Thank god, such a precious gift for being handsome in the family. And it will be continuously like that, until you found your true love and kiss her before you are turning 20 or else, you will stuck on that woman form for the rest of your life, and no one will love you for the rest of your live as well.
This family curse is already well-known within the main family since long before, that’s why to avoid the curse, a lot of his close relatives prefer to have girls over boys since they don’t want that cursed fall upon their precious baby boys when they grow up or for worse, have a horrible fate like the two of his long gone uncles. It is said that the 3rd and 5th descendant that got that damn cursed, cannot find their true love until they turned 20 and as the consequence, they have to live in their woman form forever. Cannot accept that fate, they decided to end their life, and as if become another cursed, it is believed that the chosen descendant who cannot break his curse will become insane and kill themselves. But thank god for his 6th generation chosen uncle or her mom’s sibling, he broke that second curse. He or we called him she now, did not successfully break his special gift but he is enjoying himself now as a woman and fully accepted it. Eventho it is said that no one will love her for the rest her life, she proves it wrong by showing to everyone that she has herself to love and will continuously love herself, and that one reason alone already enough to make her enjoy her life, live her life to her heart contents and appreciate the beauty of acceptance and self-love.
And now, finally the family special heritage will come to an end, with Doyoung as the chosen one from the 7th generation of Kim family.
At first, he did not know his family gift legend until he almost turned 17 and occasionally saw his parents gave him sad and anxious looks as if something bad going to happen to him in the near time. His mom even sometimes weirdly asking Doyoung to sleep with them in the their parent’s room but Doyoung is already too big to do that, so he just brushed it off and take it as his mom’s way of joking. In some nights, he even heard faint sounds of his mom crying and his father trying to console her. He couldn’t figure out about what his parents were talking about, or what making his mom very sad and crying like that, because on the morning, when Doyoung asked her mom was there something wrong? She just said nothing and hugged her.
And finally, few days right before he turned 17, his aunt came over to stay, and suddenly as if bomb landed in his Doyoung’s face, his family finally told him about that damn family gift. His mom just kept crying at that night, and as his soul felt like leaving his body, Doyoung still couldn’t believe about the horrible fate that already awaited him the moment he turned 17. His dad also did not say anything much and just firmly held his shoulders and repeatedly told him that whatever will happen in the future, whatever the result is, he will always be there and love him. His aunt did all the talk at that night and Doyoung could not hid his shocked when he found out that his aunt used to be a boy, a man, like him before. Seeing her aunt now, no one must be ever think that he used to be man, until that gift turned her permanently into a woman. His aunt is so cool and truly enjoy her life, Doyoung is very proud of her. His aunt even told him to not worry much, in the worst case if his fate really end up like hers, Doyoung at least will be not lonely since his family and aunt will always got his back, but she truly wish that Doyoung could find his true love tho. When asking about why this gift have to be fell upon him, why not into Junkyu, his big cousin, his aunt just explained that eventho Junkyu is also direct descendant, this gift was already not in the route of Junkyu’s family line since among on the 5th generation descendant, the siblings were Doyoung’s grandfather, junkyu’s grandfather and the poor grandfather that ended his life. Since the chosen 5th generation descendant did not have direct descendant, it unfortunately jump into Doyoung’s grandfather’s children, which was fall upon his aunt. And now, since his aunt is also doesn’t have descendant, the gift automatically fall upon her sister’s only son, which is him. Kim Doyoung.
