"Maybe..." Miroku said with sparkling eyes. Sango who saw the change in her husband's face, knew very well that he was about to say something absurd again.

"Stop it, Miroku!" she barked at him.

"What?" However, Kagome was curious. So far, for her, Miroku had said a lot of things that made sense even though it sounded unconvincing sometimes.

"Do you really want to hear what he want to say?" Sango was surprised as she turned her focus to the curious Kagome. "Stop it right now, Miroku!" she barked at her husband even harder.

Miroku was so excited to say the words that had been stuck on his lips and ignored his wife's bluff. "Perhaps it is..." he deliberately slowing down to make Kagome more curious.

"Maybe what?" asked Kagome again, becoming more irritated.

"Mi-ro-ku!!"

"It's fate," he finished, smiling broadly after. Kagome immediately froze in front of him after hearing his words. Meanwhile Sango could only sigh. Her husband did a stupid talk again, she thought.

"Fate, you said?" Kagome responded with a doubt. "No way! Why should it be him?!" she raised her voice. "You're making fun of me, aren't you?"

"No! I said 'maybe', I was just expressing my thoughts," Miroku tried to dodge.

"I've never met him either, it's impossible for me to date a faceless man!" Kagome's face flushed red from anger.

"I told you not to listen to what he said," Sango muttered under her breath, propping her head with her left hand on the table. "What made you rambling like that?" she turned to her husband. Miroku's eyes glanced left and right.

"After all, Kagome-san has always been excited when she is talking about him," he answered slowly while pointing at the depressed Kagome.

"That's because he's a lousy man!" Kagome argued. That was right. Even though the strange man hadn't been acting much lately, he was still very annoying. So far, Kagome had always been in a relationship with a polite and soft-spoken man. At least in her first two relationships.

"Oh!" Sango clapped her hands together. "What if you two meet? That way, you can judge for yourself what kind of person he is!" she suggested enthusiastically.

"Huh? Did I hear right? Why should I meet him?" Kagome didn't deny that she was very curious about the man named Takahashi Inuyasha. What his face and body looked like, his voice and his true personality. At least she wanted to meet him face to face. Maybe even getting to know the guy more than just a conversation on paper.

'What am I thinking?!' she grumbled silently.

"Sorry Kagome-chan, on this I have to agree with Miroku," Sango paused. "You are always so excited whenever you talk about him like there's no one else in your life," seeing Kagome ready to refute her words, Sango continued. "One more thing, you look even more like yourself when you talk about him," Sango smiled as she gently nudged Kagome's arm.

"More like myself?" Kagome muttered. Then, she began sipping her tea while thinking. Was she getting too excited lately because of Inuyasha? Whenever she came to the office, the first thing that went through her head was to see if there was a reply from the guy. It was undeniable that at first, she was very annoyed with Inuyasha's annoying and reckless attitude, but on the other hand, he was the one who made Kagome excited to come to the office which she began to hate.

"You like him, don't you?" asked Sango with a teasing smile.

The question suddenly made Kagome choke on the tea she was drinking. She started coughing violently because of the tea that stuck in her throat. After the coughing stopped, she went back to thinking. Like him? Did she like Inuyasha?

"Of course not!" she denied. She shook her head. "How could I--!" she stopped. Then, all the ridiculous and annoying messages from Inuyasha started to float in her head.

"Hey, Clean Freak, it's your freakin' desk, so it's your responsible!"

"CLEAN FREAK YOU SAID?! YOU DIRTY HUMAN!! WHY IS IT SO HARD FOR YOU TO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ONCE? You're the one who made my desk dirty, you should be the one who apologize and not me! BAKA!!!"

"You're the one who's stupid! You stupid woman!! BAAAAKAAA!!!"

"YOU STUPID!! BAAAAKAAA!!!"

"BAAAAAAAAKAAAAAAAA!!!"

Although annoying and childish, it was the messages that always cheered Kagome up.

Miroku noticed the change in Kagome's face from angry to blushing. "Look! Your face is red! You obviously like him!" he sneered with an amused laugh. Kagome was silent.

Her denial so far only made her think that she might actually like the guy who liked to call her 'stupid'. Why did out of many good men in this world, she like that annoying man?

Sango and Miroku exchanged glances. Then, Sango took out two ramen vouchers from her the pocket of her apron and handed them to Kagome. "Here, ask him to eat here."

"Eh?"

"You said he likes ramen right? Instead of continuing to eat instant ramen, wouldn't it be better if he eats a real ramen?"

"Take it. Maybe he's not as bad as you think," Miroku urged.

Kagome was hesitant at first. Inuyasha was such a reserved person, what if he refused her invitation? However, she wouldn't know if she didn't try, would she? She just stared at it for a moment and decided to take it eventually. Maybe, just maybe, these two vouchers would change her life.

Fin.
