Chapter Text
Preparing for the National Championship is such a torture.
A string of grumbles left her lips when her hand can't find the capability to insert the key inside the keyhole. Shaking too much out of exhaustion when all she wants to do is to just sit on her couch while eating a bag of chips.
Does she already said that preparing for the National Championship is such a torture? Because preparing for the National Championship is such a fucking torture.
She didn't need a long time to unlock the door after such an unwanted hardship. Didn't even bother to put her shoes inside the rack. Going straight to where the kitchen is after throwing her bag carelessly in the spacious living room of her dorm.
Even though she hopes her bag lands on somewhere that wasn't the floor.
The lone bottle of chilled Gatorade escaped from the refrigerator. A must need stock especially when her training schedule has become pretty hectic lately. Didn't forget about the bag of chips from the counter as she brought them both towards the living room.
Just a simple dinner for her tired self.
She let out a long, satisfied sigh as soon as her buttocks landed on top of the lovely couch. Leaned back to the couch, resting her head on the nice cushion that immediately hugged her neck right. Allowing herself to be drowned in the comfort the couch has offered to her.
It's becoming too much lately, both with the training and with her college tasks.
Coach Seulgi has become much stricter towards her after she pointed her out to be the main swimmer of their college for the National Championship. Not exactly something that is pretty much shocking, considering she is now the new team captain for the swimming club after her senior was done with their era of leadership.
But alas, it's still a lot for her to handle. Not to mention how college has also become hellish because she is currently in her third year and every third year of college is a straight hell simulation.
She's about to crumble into dust and rather be a pile of sand if this keeps continuing without giving her a day for her to breathe. Without giving her at least some time to be relaxed and let her do nothing, no need to worry about her college life and how the swimming club puts a lot of expectation on her shoulders.
Why does she need to be good at swimming again?
She can hear a sound of jingling keys coming from outside of the door just when she turned on the TV to watch the western sitcom she is currently taking interest in. A lazy 'hey' escaped her lips before her mouth was occupied with the delicious chips. Too comfortable to turn her head to greet her roommate better.
"Oh? I didn't know you were back early," responded her roommate after she stepped inside their dorm and went straight to the kitchen like she did earlier. She knows, because there's a sound of an opened refrigerator and she's painfully too used to listening to it.
A habit of always getting a bottle of Gatorade first as soon as she arrived at the dorm and was done with the training.
"Yeah. Coach Seulgi only let us train one lap less than yesterday today so," she paused to open the Gatorade bottle, "I guess I'm back early."
"Oh," she voiced out while standing right beside the couch. She could feel her eyes assessing her condition from her hair down to her toe, blatantly checking her out. "You seem pretty dead tired, though."
A snort left her. "Duh, Sherlock. You think?"
"Geez, calm down. I'm just saying," her roommate scoffed while taking a seat beside her on the couch. Covering her mouth with a can of soda before she mumbles, "Your tired version is so annoying."
"Well, thank you for pointing that out everytime I'm becoming my tired version, Ryu."
Ryujin rolled her eyes from her annoying reply. Already used to the snarky comeback from her tired version every time she tried to converse with her in their usual way of conversing. This is why she only likes the normal version of her roommate. She can tease her anytime she wants and not get the comeback after she did it.
Well, except her.
She didn't spare her a glance as she continued to eat her chips while watching the sitcom. Can feel the strained muscles on her body starting to calm down. Can feel the tiredness started to get stripped away as long as she stayed on top of the comfortable couch. Can feel the Gatorade working its wonder inside her body when she doesn't even know what kind of wonder does the sports drink do to her body.
It was really nice.
"Are you free tonight?"
"No."
"That means yes," grinned Ryujin, taking the TV remote from her lap and turning off the TV to gain her full attention. Ignoring her 'hey! I'm watching that!' before she put the remote behind her back and looked straight into her tired and frustrated eyes. "There's a party tonight and-"
"I told you no already," she grumbled, rummaging through the aluminium snack bag to grab one of the chips inside.
"Oh, come on, Yeji," cried Ryujin, half begging and sounding desperate. "The party is going to be filled with fun and popular kids and it's going to be fun! You sure don't want to miss that!"
"Oh, I sure want to miss that," Yeji quickly scoffs, no longer deciding to let Ryujin have her attention as she looks at the black screen of the turned off TV.
It sure looks more interesting than Ryujin if only the TV played her favorite sitcom. Fuck her roommate.
"Yeji, should I remind you that you have missed tons of parties just from the last two months alone?" her roommate fights back, but still gets ignored. "It's not good for your young self to miss out on anything fun in your life! And I'm doing this because I'm your best friend and I care about your life. You sure don’t want to be known as a boring Yeji who only swims for her whole life throughout your college era, right?”
"You indeed care about my life," snorted Yeji. "Where were you when my ankle got sprained again?"
"Please, that was a year ago. You are so dramatic."
An overly dramatic gasp she let out. "I couldn't fucking walk right and I’m sure as hell couldn’t fucking swim!"
"Fine, I'm sorry! But please accompany me to the party tonight. I really need you there," plead Ryujin with her hopeless voice. "I will do anything, I promise. Just please, come to the party."
Yeji stayed silent.
"I will make your breakfast every morning for a week."
"No."
Ryujin grumbles under her breath. Yeji is playing hard to get and she clearly knows what words Yeji wants it to come out from her mouth.
"Breakfast, lunch, and dinner for a week."
"Make it a month."
"Two weeks and that's it."
"Deal," grinned Yeji out of feeling victorious, enjoying the annoyed expression on Ryujin's face as she gave the shorter girl the luxury of her attention again. "Where's the party?"
"At the dorm near the Law faculty. The JYP dorm."
“Oh, I thought it’s going to be far,” muttered Yeji while stretching her body on the couch. Making weird noises and she noticed from the corner of her eyes how Ryujin grimaced from it. “I guess I can walk for a bit. Tonight seems pretty alright too for a walk.”
"Please. I have my bike, remember?"
Yeji looks at her with horror in her eyes. Remembering about the accident that caused her ankle to get sprained last year. "No."
"Oh, come on, Yeji. I'm clearly not drunk right now!" snorted Ryujin and started to get annoyed from this version of Yeji. Still yet to give it a name though. Maybe terrified, but it’s not teasing enough.
"You were not drunk that night too and you still hit the bushes!"
She looked at her in an awkward, long silence. Clearing her throat while abashedly looking away from her roommate. "...maybe I got pretty drunk that-"
"Oh, God, please help me!"
"Don't be so fucking dramatic right now, Hwang Yeji. We are already having our fucking deal and you are going to the party with my bike, like it or not!"
---
The party turns out to be boring. Or Yeji just not in the mood for some party tonight.
There’s a lot of people she doesn’t have any idea about except Ryujin. It was all new faces for her. None of her friends who took the same major as her attended the party. She doesn’t even manage to spot one of her swimming teammates in the middle of the crowd.
Or Ryujin was just right when she told her that the swimming club consists of a group of pretty boring people and Yeji unfortunately is the leader of the ultimate boring pack who only think about water and swimming and also smells like chlorine.
She can’t say she didn’t get offended by her comment, but sure as hell a tiny bit part of her heart painfully agrees with it.
Her beloved friend immediately ditching her after they arrived at the party safely. Ignoring Yeji’s yell because she parked her bike carelessly and chose to walk towards where the party is located like she deserves to be there. Like she deserves to be greeted with a spotlight showering down upon her.
Totally forgetting about her presence.
Yeji chooses to enjoy the party outside on the porch, where no one bothers enough to stay because they are too busy having fun inside. Jumping by the loud beats of lousy music being played by the “DJ”, who is obviously one of the jobless kids in the middle of the campus. Grinding and getting drunk with strangers and maybe managing to hit them up for an accompaniment on the chilly night.
No matter how hard she tried, parties - especially college parties - was never her cup of tea. She always felt left out in the middle of the packed crowd, unable to make a simple conversation or even pretend to be friends with them. It was such a hassle and it sounds a bit ironic because of her college major.
At least they got some good finger food inside for her to have a free dinner. Even though it’s mostly snacks and well, Yeji can’t say no to snacks.
With a bottle of cheap beer on the small table beside her (thank God they have them or else she needs to drink the worst cocktail one has ever made in a college party), she pulled out a pack of her cigarette from her leather jacket pocket. Easily lightening up the other end as her ears try to douse the loud boom of music coming from inside. Closing her eyes and letting herself enjoy the way the foul smoke filled her lungs before she exhales it and let the grey puff evaporate along with the night wind.
One thing in her life that doesn’t scream athlete in one glance is her smoking habit. Coach Seulgi loathes it with her whole life when she found out about this bad habit of her out of an unplanned meeting at the cafe near the campus when she usually did her college task at, beside the boring library.
But she let her go. Due to her being the most talented swimmer in their swimming club and how Yeji smokes only if she feels like it. And due to the fact they have known each other for a long time.
You see, Coach Seulgi is her relative. Which means she knows everything that has happened in her life, both good and worse. That’s why she let her be as long as it doesn’t affect her natural talent of being a good swimmer.
Yeji barely give a fuck about it, but she just let her.
She was still closing her eyes. Still enjoying the smoke filled her lungs while her covered skin got caressed by the soft blow of the night wind. Was about to grab the bottle of beer for a gulp when she noticed someone staring at her.
The stranger looks pretty. Looks like she was out of place considering she wasn’t enjoying the party inside and rather chose to be outside. A bottle of beer in her hand and she dressed like she knows she will own the party. She was getting closer and Yeji was too slow to realize that she was coming towards her.
“May I take a seat beside you?”
The swimmer made a hand gesture that yes, she may sit beside her. She flashed her a grateful smile, softly letting out a sigh once she sat on the chair.
She looked at her long, trying to notice if there was anything close to uncomfortable on her face. Even though she was here first, she doesn’t want to discomfort her with her foul activity of smoking. “Uh, you don't mind if I smoke, right?”
“If I was, I wouldn’t ask your permission to sit right beside you,” she giggles, catching Yeji off guard by how beautiful it was. Or the alcohol just started to affect her system. She’s a bit lightweight, after all. “I’m Choi Jisu.”
“Hwang Yeji,” nodded Yeji, before trailed her eyes away from Jisu and looking back to the dark field at the front. Enjoying another inhale of her cigarette as she slowly closes her eyes again. Noise of the breeze rustling against the branches calming her nerves.
“So,” starts Jisu, obviously wanting to make a conversation when all Yeji wants is silence, “what are you doing here instead of being inside?”
“The night is too nice for me to spend it inside,” answered Yeji shortly while softly exhaling the grey smoke out of her lungs. Almost close to let out a satisfied sigh but she holds it back. "And the party is boring."
“Ouch,” winced Jisu in a fake pain. “It really hurts when someone says your party is boring, huh?”
“Oh… I’m sorry, I didn’t know,” stammers Yeji out of guilt, only for Jisu to shrug her off and say that she was just joking. “Then why are you here?”
“Because I spotted someone alone outside and I thought, why does she stay outside alone? I was curious so I thought it would be a nice idea to approach you and ask the question personally,” chuckles Jisu before she takes a sip on her cold beer. “And now I know.”
Yeji nods in a bit of hesitation. Shutting off her cigarette before she threw it somewhere beside her. “I assume you are, uh, a law major then?”
“Yup!” responded Jisu brightly with a pop. “That’s why I kind of got my own part in making this party, you know, ‘successful’,” she playfully quoted the ‘successful’ just to tease the hell out of Yeji. The latter only coughs in embarrassment. “And you must not be a law student. I have never seen you before.”
“Yeah. I’m comm,” muttered Yeji, scratching the back of her head even though it doesn’t feel itchy in the slightest. “I’m here because I got dragged by my roommate, and she didn’t take no as the answer.”
The brunette hums understandingly as she nods gently. Pausing for a while to let the wind breeze past them before she asked. “Who is this friend of yours?”
“Uh, I don’t know if you know her but, it’s Ryujin.”
Jisu blinks, before her eyes widen in recognition. Once again caught Yeji off guard when she exclamates it loudly. “You must be her swimmer roommate!”
“Uh, yeah… That’s me?” said Yeji with a frown while trying to think if Ryujin befriended another swimmer beside her, when she realized she was only friends with her because they were childhood friends and they were roommates. There’s no chance for the other swimmers to befriend Ryujin. She doesn’t like boring people, per her own words.
("Am I boring?" Yeji asked one day out of boredom, and suddenly got reminded of Ryujin’s opinion about swimmers being boring when they were binge-watching The Fairly OddParents!
Ryujin really loves that show, Yeji doesn't understand why.
"Do you want the truth or lie?" she asked back while munching the popcorn made with the help of the old microwave owned by Yeji.
Yeji side eyed her for long, slowly reaching for the popcorn while assessing the focus look sported by Ryujin. She knows she needs to play this carefully or else. "Lie."
Her roommate let out a loud snort. "I can't lie so yeah, you are boring."
See? This is why she always disagrees everytime Ryujin preaches about why she and Timmy share a resemblance in behaviour, when she reminds Yeji more of Vicky.)
“It’s really nice to meet you! This is my first time seeing a swimmer from our campus,” exclaimed Jisu once again. Yeji doesn't know how to respond for the last part. “I think I know someone from the swimming club. Do you know Yuna?”
Yeji frowns at the name. It sounded foreign to her ears when she was the team leader of their swimming club and she must know the name of everyone in the swimming club. The only Yuna she knows is Ryujin’s younger cousin whom she has yet to meet when they are attending the same college. “I’m sorry, who?”
“Yuna? She’s a diver?”
So that’s why she doesn’t know her. Yeji shook her head as things started to connect inside her mind. “The swimmers didn’t share the same training pool as the divers. That’s why I don’t know about your friend, sorry.”
And hate each other a lot, but Yeji chooses to keep it to herself. A bit ironic, considering the two head coaches for each swimming and diving team are dating each other.
“Oh, it’s okay,” shrugging off Jisu again, looking like she was indeed okay with it. About her not knowing the existence of her diver friend.
She really looks like a carefree person from Yeji’s point of view. She looks like she doesn't mind about everything. She looks like she can talk about anything with her. She looks painfully too much like someone who will get labelled as ‘people pleaser’. And Yeji hates people who act like one.
Because why did you need others' validation and acceptance a lot?
“So, any intention to come back inside?” asked Jisu again. Her thumb pointed to where the party’s being held. Right behind their back.
The swimmer shook her head, finishing her beer with easy gulps. The condition outside is too good for her to miss. And she knows it already smelled like alcohol inside. It’s better if she didn’t get drunk just from the intoxicating smell tonight. “I’ll pass. You can go inside if you want.”
Jisu looked at her long. Seems like she was contemplating something and Yeji doesn’t know what was running inside her mind. So she just shrugged it off and stood up from the stool. Putting her cigarette pack and the lighter back in the pocket of her leather jeans as she bid her quick goodbye to Jisu. Decided it was a good time for her to leave and take a night stroll.
Until Jisu made her stop on her steps. “Let me walk you back.”
“It’s okay. I can walk by myself,” smiled Yeji politely. Pointing at the flashy party inside the building, already playing another set of playlist for them to destroy the poor place. “I think the party needs you.”
“It’s okay. The party can function by itself,” chuckles Jisu, repeating what she just said casually. Walking past by her as she softly hums a music she doesn’t know the title of.
Yeji only blinks her eyes. If she can say something about Jisu, she is such a weird person and Yeji is nowhere understand anything that is running inside her mind. Everything that has happened tonight, about how random Jisu suddenly approaches her, and talks to her like they were close when they just met tonight. It’s all weird for her mind to fathom about the reasons why.
She still lets her lead the way, though. And let her carry the conversation. It’s not like Yeji is someone who can say no twice.
Well, except for Ryujin.
---
She woke up due to the sunlight attacking her closed eyes with their sharp rays.
Yeji groaned uncomfortably because of the perpetrator. Turning to the other side to bury her face inside her pillow and allow herself to escape from the uninvited guest of her morning. Sighing when her face pressed into something soft that is completely blocking the morning sunlight, and smells so nicely because of the honeydew scent sticking onto the skin. She pulled it closer to her, tightening her hold around the waist as her nose nuzzled against the nape.
Now that she thinks about it, she always slept alone and only got accompanied by her two teddy bears, Dolee and Dolmeni. And they are far from having a honeydew scent, nor having a really soft skin.
The swimmer jumps awake from the sudden realization. Checking herself to see if she was wearing something, only to find out she was stark naked underneath the blanket. She turned to her left to find someone who was still obviously sleeping. Her face is covered with her thick, dark brown hair and she can see some part of her skin got exposed because the blanket was slipping off from her shoulder.
She let out another groan inside her palm, and didn't really want to disturb the sleeping woman beside her as she cursed at herself.
How come she can be so careless last night, to the point she was having sex with someone?
The cat eyes woman wasn’t even that drunk last night to begin with. She was just drinking one bottle of beer for fuck sake and she let Jisu walking her back to her dorm and-
Everything pauses as her hand falls from her face. Staring blankly at the familiar cream coloured wall in front of her while everything started to come back inside her mind. Reminding her about her activity last night and how it got her to be in this position.
How she invited her to come inside her dorm because she feels bad to let Jisu walk back immediately after accompanying her. How they share a talk and Ryujin's soda, sometimes accompanied with a good round of laughs as they throw lame jokes. How suddenly one thing led to another, and they were already in her bedroom. Locking their lips in a tight connection and trying to undress each other from the outfit they wore last night.
How she just have the greatest sex ever in her life.
“Good morning.”
Yeji jumps from the raspy voice suddenly greeting her. Slowly turning her head to the left to see Jisu already awake. Laying by her back as her sleepy eyes staring at her right at the orbs. Covering her naked front from being seen by Yeji using her blanket that they shared.
God, she needs to admit how Jisu looks so goddamn gorgeous in the morning. How her messy hair framed her small face beautifully. How her perfect skin glows by the help of the morning sunlight showering down upon her naked self. Bathing her in gold and Yeji can’t find it in herself to look away from the art presented right in front of her.
She was like a goddess personally sent for her to appreciate.
“G-good morning,” stammers Yeji like a fool. Can feel how her heartbeat quickens its pace when Jisu beams at her like her favourite star lay rest on her face. “I didn’t wake you up, did I?”
Jisu hums, and it still sounds raspy and still heavy with sleep and affecting Yeji like never before. “No, you didn’t.”
The swimmer nods awkwardly, and doesn't really know what to do in the middle of this situation as she keeps her position still on the bed. Looking away from Jisu as she tried to find something in her bedroom. Noticing their discarded clothes scattered everywhere across the floor, reminding her of how hasty they were last night and it makes Yeji blushes in embarrassment.
She never lost her control like that before. She was as wild as animals.
“You don’t regret this, do you?”
“No!” answered Yeji, too loud and too quick for her liking. She flusteredly coughed when she notice the giggles Jisu let out because of her dumb reaction. “I-I mean, of course no...”
“Then come here,” Jisu says, still mixed with her soft giggles. Her bony yet gentle fingers wrapped around her wrist as she pulled Yeji to lay beside her again. “Stop being so tense and come here.”
Yeji gulps nervously before she lets herself follow what Jisu wants. Prompted by her arm as she lays by her side. Eyes keep their stares down to Jisu and the sight only makes herself at awe.
How come the girl manages to look more gorgeous from up close?
“What is it?” chuckles Jisu in her sweet voice. Tucking a strand of her hair behind her ear. Yeji swears she can never get enough of it.
She didn't answer immediately. Choosing to take her time in learning about the beautiful being in front of her that is Jisu. How her forehead looks smooth and flawless and so inviting for Yeji to kiss. How her eyebrows looked so thin yet thick at the same time and it fascinates her because this is her first time seeing something like that. How her wide eyes looked so adorably cute and bright, twinkles in delight and Yeji never wants to look away.
How her nose got perfectly carved by God when she was being made. How her lips looked plump and so enticing for her to dip her head and just kiss her like nothing else mattered.
"You look so beautiful," whispered Yeji in awe. Clearing the fringes from covering her face because she wants to see her without anything blocking her from the wonderful sight. Such a perfect thing needs to be appreciated right, after all.
Jisu smiled until her eyes turned into crescent, giving another skip of beat to her heart as she cupped her cheek with her soft palm. Caressing the popped out bone gently using her thumb and Yeji can't help to lean in from the comforting warmth.
"You look so beautiful too."
With the help of a small tug, Yeji leaned down to capture her lips for a kiss. Kissing her like it was her first time again and oh, how it feels so good to start her morning like this.
Her lips are so soft, like a cotton candy she loves to buy every time she visits a festival. She can still taste the hint of peach and cheap beer still lingering on the surface. A weird mix yet only riles up her greediness to kiss her more. Doesn't mind about their morning breath as she slips her tongue inside her mouth. Liking how Jisu let her take the wheel and guide their first kiss of the morning.
It was so addicting to the point she can't find it in herself to stop. The way they fit each other, the way they complete each other.
Drove Yeji mad with only a simple kiss.
String of saliva connected their lips when they pulled apart from the deep, intense kiss. Noticing how her breath got slightly shorter because of it. How the skin on her face burns from the red blush covering it all.
Yeji still finds herself unable to look away from her.
A soft smile crack its way out on Jisu's lips, already look a bit swollen from their activity. "That was a nice one."
She opted to not say anything, instead putting her lips on top of her again. This time choose to not waste her time by shifting her body to be on top of her. Carefully putting her elbows beside her head as she tried to not press her small body with her own weight while she was kissing her.
God, she thinks she will never stop kissing her like this.
Not even when the world ends and their surroundings are crumbling down and getting swallowed by the ground.
Her lips were about to start appreciating her beautiful neck when Jisu forced her to pull back by pushing her against the shoulders. Giggling while she was doing it.
"As much as I want us to have our second round," she paused to lean forward and capture her lips in a kiss. Yeji almost pouted from how quick the kiss was given to her. "I have my morning class today."
In a childish groan, she buried her face on the junction of her neck and her shoulder. Showering it with small kisses in the middle of her throwing a childlike tantrum. "It's still one and a half hours away. You can stay for a little while."
Jisu let out her crisp laugh again, before kissing the top of her head as gently as she could. "My dorm is 15 minutes away by walking from you, remember?"
She let out a dissatisfied huff, before forcing herself away from her body and allowing her to slip out. Jisu gave her another quick kiss before she stepped down from the bed. Showing off her body in all her naked glory, gleaming with the help of sunlight like there is a halo surrounding her figure. Completely flawless and perfect, Yeji never knew something like that could exist.
Her body shivers in something she can’t explain when her eyes manage to spot some small patches of red and blue scattered across her neck down to her shoulders and back. The marks she left on the canvas of her fairly white skin last night due to her lust.
She swears she also found some spots across her chest too when she was checking her out earlier.
"Like what you see?"
Yeji sputters a nervous cough as she looks away from the outstanding view beside her bed. Ignoring the deep blush once again blooming on her cheek, even though Jisu certainly laughed because of it.
"I'm just joking," Jisu still laughs. She can hear the voice of a zipper closing. "You already see me naked as a whole. I don't mind if you see it again."
"T-that was different!" stuttered Yeji in embarrassment, totally sounded like a loser. Choosing to turn her back from her and decided that it might be nice to get dressed alongside her too. Giving up in trying to search her pair of underwear as she fished out her short pants and black t-shirt out from her wardrobe.
"Is it only you or do swimmers always have a really great and sexy body?"
"I-it's nothing," muttered Yeji with her low voice, too embarrassed at this point to reply at Jisu's praising in a right way that is more than just ‘it’s nothing’.
This is her first time someone praising her like that, and she doesn't know that it feels good.
Somehow it just proves Ryujin's point about her being a complete loser who is unbelievably boring. Yeji always hated it whenever she was right.
She was closing her wardrobe when she could feel her presence coming closer. Stopping exactly right by her side as she tugged her wrist to gain her attention. Trailing her eyes up, following her now clothed and covered body until she found her beaming face again.
And she doesn't know who leaned in first for another kiss.
It was another long one. Yeji managed to slip her arm around her waist and pulled her closer as she deepened her kiss. Enjoying the way her fingers thread her long hair and give it a nice tug, circling nicely around her neck as she pulls her down. The way her small body fits inside her arm like it was her place all along.
If this continues, Jisu can be her guilty pleasure and Yeji will enjoy every moment of it.
"Mind walking me to the front?" asked Jisu after she pulled back from their kiss. A bit breathless even though a small smile formed on her beautiful lips.
Yeji silently nods, still a bit jaded from the kiss and unable to form words. The sun glistening on the corner of her lips doesn't help either. She forced herself to pull away from Jisu and escaped her hold to reach her door. Opening it slightly to see if there is any presence of Ryujin outside.
Hallelujah. There is no devil in sight.
Out of an instinct, she took one of Jisu's hand and gently pulling her out from her bedroom. Liking how her small hand fit so nicely against her bigger one. A total contrast to her rough hand, but it feels right. Slowly felt her step becoming heavier as they reached closer to the main door of her dorm.
She knows she doesn't want Jisu to leave yet. But she can't do anything about it.
"Thank you for last night," starts Jisu as she stands outside, right in front of the opened door where Yeji leaned herself to the frame. Still smiling and she can't help but wonder if Jisu is always smiling to everyone she meets or not. "I really have a great time."
"Me too," admitted Yeji deep from her heart. She leaned forward to plant her last kiss on top of her soft cheek. "Be careful on your way back."
Her smile turned into a wide grin, sneakily stealing another kiss from her unprepared lips. "See you later, Yeji."
Yeji can only flashing her a dumb wave of hand due to the sudden kiss earlier. Watching her until her back was gone from the hallway before she went back inside. Noticing how the dorm was in the same state as it was last night before they left for the party.
Her duffle bag turns out to be landing on top of the floor, nicely snuggling rest on it. And the rest of her undoubtedly-already-turned-to-stale chips are still sitting nicely at the coffee table in front of the couch. Along with the half empty bottle of lukewarm Gatorade. And everything started to dawn on her.
What the fuck has just happened?
