‘’But Eddie-‘’ Venom protested, Anne gestured him towards the living room, ‘’you go and keep Dan company-‘’
Eddie gestured him to slither towards Dan, Anne smiled ‘’and don’t you tell him anything, ok?’’ She winked, Venom smiled, like a child who were just told ‘yes’ after hearing a ‘no’ from the other parent.
Anne quickly went back into the kitchen, ‘’okay, both are distracted-‘’ she picked up her ipad, and showed Eddie the recipe, ‘’you think he’ll like it?’’
Peanut butter inside chocolate hearts, Venom hadn’t, amazingly, had peanut butter yet. ‘’Only one way to find out’’ he sighed.
‘’Okay, hand me that, you take this-‘’ She started ordering Eddie around, which was for the better really… He had no idea what he's doing… He wouldn’t have the faintest idea where to start.
He stirred the brown liquid thing, ‘’is this?’’
‘’Yeah, looks great! Add that-‘’ she pointed to the vanilla extract, gesturing around the other ingredients, ‘’stir until its smooth, and then we’ll put it on the kitchen counter, and roll it out’’
Eddie nodded as if he understood, but he only paid half attention, and it looked like Anne knew he wasn’t paying that much attention.

‘’Venom—No, put that down-‘’ Dan tried to get a hold of a glass vase, Venom groaned and finally put it back, Dan taking a deep breath.
Venom was bored, he could smell chocolate and he wanted some, he tried to get Eddie’s attention, but Dan broke his concentration. ‘’Tch’’
‘’How about this?’’ Dan showed him something that looked like it was made out of plastic.
Venom hummed, he tried to understand all the ‘traditions’, christmas, easter and now, valentines day.

‘’Now for the fun part’’ she nudged Eddie, she handed him a heart shaped cookie cutter, this was the easy part, no way he could fuck this up.
‘’Oh… Well, don’t think about it. Venom is gonna love it nevertheless, especially since it was you who made them’’
Eddie looked at his horrid looking hearts, how did he fail this simple task? The answer was simple. Because he’s Eddie.
‘’I’ll do the microwave part, just get the hearts ready for dipping-‘’ she gestured around the hearts and… Eddie’s nightmare shapes.

‘’Eddie~’’ Venom whined, it was so sudden it gave him a small heart attack. Anne snickered, ‘’Venom bored?’’
Eddie nodded, ‘’but we’re soon done, right?’’
‘’They need to cool, and when they do-‘’ she locked arms with him, ‘’we'll keep our valentine dates company.’’

‘’I'm so tired…’’ Eddie mumbled as he climbed the stairs to his apartment, Venom growled in irritation.
‘’Oh coman, didn’t you have fun?’’ Eddie teased, he could feel Venom shake his head, ‘’team exhausted then.’’ He raised his hand in victory.
‘’Sleep. Sofa. Sleep—‘’ Venom dragged them towards the living room, but Eddie managed to stop, Venom looked at him, as if he had disgraced his entire being, his cow, his--
‘’Venom.’’ Eddie tried to keep his thoughts to himself, can’t give it away yet, ‘’I have something for you.’’ He placed the bag on the counter, Venom hoovered above him, if possible, hearts started flying around him, ‘’Eddie~ Are those-‘’
‘’Yup.’’
Venom frowned, ‘’did you steal them?’’
‘’What? No! These are mine.’’
He wasn’t a big fan of the silence that followed, ‘’Venom?’’
‘’…Did Anne give you a val-‘’
‘’I made them, for… For you’’ he felt his entire being, maybe even Venom, blush.
‘’Chocolates… For Venom… From Eddie…’’ It was as if Venom was a slow computer from the late ‘90s, if Venom could, he would probably make the modem shriek too.
‘’Y-yes.’’ Eddie lifted the box up, expecting them to be engulfed on the spot, instead a tongue scooped one up, carefully, ‘’mmm~’’ the symbiote purred as he twirled around Eddie, like some kind of liquid yet firm scarf.

‘’Venom…’’ Eddie sighed, Venom had taken a very slow time to eat the chocolates, he had offered him some several times… ‘’Just eat them-‘’
‘’But Eddie made them!’’
‘’And I’ll make more, a lot more, next year, I promise.’’
‘’… Promise?’’
‘’Anne is gonna find it hilarious.’’ He could already see her face, grinning like the grinch, but in a cute way?
‘’Yes, I promise.’’
