sorry for my crap writing lol but i wrote this entire thing on impulse if you read the whole thing somehow sorry
Toilet didn’t understand why he felt this way. He had just envied him for being the preferred co-host not too long back. But now, he made him feel a way he had never felt before. Happy, though a type of happiness that overpowered him and his thoughts. When he thought about him. He could feel the burning in the porcelain of his face. What was this feeling? Why did he love it and hate it so much at the same time? Why did he make him feel so warm, safe, understood? He had to go to the cause of this feeling. He had to go find MePad.
He tried to keep a natural look on his face as he searched the Contestant Grounds for him. He wasn’t going to give up easily, as he had been filled with a passion somehow greater than what passion co-hosting provided him with. He finally heard a familiar sound behind him. He turned to see the familiar face of MePad, just the tablet he had been hoping to see.
“MEPAAAADDDD!!” he yelled excitedly.
“It seems you are quite excited to see me.”
“OF COURSE I AM YA BUM! I’VE BEEN LOOKIN ALL OVER FOR YA!”
MePad’s eyes formed into an expression loosely resembling a grin, “Why could that possibly be?”
“Well I’ve got somethin to say! Ya see I- well- uhm- uh-“ Toilet began getting flustered after MePad’s rare of expression.
“It seems you are having trouble speaking. Please take your time.”
“WELL UH- I THINK YOU’RE REALLY NICE AND UHM BYE MEPAAD-“
Toilet ran off by impulse when he couldn’t form the right words, words which he didn’t exactly know to say yet.
Toilet hid himself behind a bush, hoping nobody would spot him. His face was burning hot. Why were his feelings getting in the way of just talking to his fellow co-host? It had never been that hard for him to speak to someone. But the way MePad had looked at him. Just that caused him to get caught on his words and run off from embarrassment. The way MePad made him feel wasn’t bad, necessarily. It was good, great even, just a form of positivity someone even as himself hadn’t experienced before. He sat for a bit, thinking to himself. What if I tell MePad about this stuff, what if I just make what we have of a friendship too awkward to work? He had to do something to form a better friendship with MePad.
Grass rustling. Someone was going to see him. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Lightbulb. Maybe he could asl her for advice, considering how great with friendship she is in the show.
In a sort of whisper shout, Toilet called pit in her direction, “Lightbulb! Come here! I need ya for a sec!”
“Huh?” Lightbulb said sort of loud, before noticing where Toilet was by a bush and making her way to sit next to him in the grass. “Whatcha need?”
“Well I was wondering if I could get some friendship advice”
“Of course, might help if you tell me who you’re trying to be friends with though.”
“M- MePad!” he whispered somewhat loudly, suddenly seeming flustered at such a simple question.
“Oooooh- does someone have a you-know-what on the other co-host?”
“WHA- AH- NO,” Toilet became more flustered than before at the suggestion of that even being a possibility, his face warm. “What would even give ya that idea!”
Lightbulb snickered at his sudden jumpy reaction “Ok ok I get it you totally ‘don’t,” she calmed her tone of voice back down before speaking again. “I feel like a picnic would be a nice idea. Though I’ve never seen MePad even try to eat before, it’s the thought of the gesture that counts.”
Toilet thought on the idea for a second before deciding that sounded good, and abruptly said before making his departure from the conversation, “Thanks Lightbulb, bye-bye!” and he sped off.
By the next area night, Toilet had somehow convinced MePhone to generate a picnic setup in the perfect place to watch the stars. He had told MePad to meet him around this area after sundown. To his surprise, MePad actually agreed. Just as the sun disappeared, Toilet saw a purple glow not too far away. Right on time.
“MEPAAAD! OVER HERE!” Toilet yelled, to be sure MePad knew where he was.
MePad looked over in the direction he heard Toilet yell from, and quickly made his way there. “From what you have here, I’m assuming this would be considering this is a picnic. Despite the strange time you chose, this is quite thoughtful. Though I don’t really eat.” MePad said, as he sat down on the blanket.
Toilet, pushing back his slight disappointment from the judgement, was really just happy to have MePad there. “I expected that really, though we can still watch the stars! They’re extra twinkly tonight!”
MePad, glancing up at the sky, spoke “I do agree, the stars are quite the sight tonight. I suppose it won’t hurt to sit down and look at them.”
They both looked up at the sky together. Without realizing, Toilet leaned over to prop himself against MePad. He expected him to react but instead MePad relaxed his posture and allowed it. The atmosphere felt calm and safe.
Before Toilet knew, he was opening his eyes to see the sunrise, before he looked sideways and saw MePad with his eyes closed. They had both fallen asleep, it seems. Toilet snickered at the situation, which he then heard a soft laugh from his left. It was MePad. Seems he had woken up and realized the same thing, though he had never heard him be that expressive. Toilet blushed at the sound of MePad’s slight laughter. He had never heard it before.
MePad glanced down towards toilet and noticed his face, “Seems your face is red. Could you be sick? Or-“ MePad grinned, “Are you blushing?” MePad chuckled again. Unexpectedly, MePad blushed just in the slightest in reaction to the situation.
Toilet noticed how MePad reacted, and froze up for just a moment. Then burst into laughter. There was a mutual feeling in that moment that felt unbreakable. Toilet finished his fit of laughter with tears in his eyes, and looked up at MePad, who had a silly grin on his face. “MePad I just- I feel a way I don’t know how to describe. The feelings that choked me up before I made my way out the other night. Ya get it, doncha?”
MePad felt like he understood. He felt a way he didn’t know he could feel. Warm. “Despite my assumed inability to feel, I think I may get it. If you may, please give me a moment to match this up to a word definition.” His expression fell blank as he searched as he could for the word to describe the mutual feeling. Then he realized, the one word that closely described the unspoken feelings between them both. “Love.”
Toilet heard MePad say that one word, and everything he had been feeling made sense. Love. Maybe Lightbulb was right with her tease. He cleared his throat before he spoke, “Love ya say? Well if that’s it, then-“, he brought his gaze up to make eye contact with MePad, “I LOVE YA, YA BIG IDIOT!” he yelled quickly, before looking down at the ground, blushing.
MePad was startled at the sudden outburst, though he collected his thoughts and spoke after a minute or so of silence. “I think I love you too, Toilet.”
Toilet looked up in surprise, a relieved expression on his face with joyful tears once again forming in the corner of his eyes.
MePad leaned against Toilet and relaxed his expression with a soft, loving grin to remain. “I think it’s more of a ‘I know’ rather than a ‘I think’, actually.”
“What now?”
“The future is unpredictable. But at least we’re in it together this time.”
