Chapter Text
Saturday nights, Sapnap doesn’t work and George can stay up to account for time differences. And most of the time, Dream can join them, staying up all night having fun and recording till early morning hours.
But some Saturdays, the last one every month to be exact, Dream can’t be found, can’t be contacted, can’t be reached.
Today is that Saturday. Dream can’t wait. He doesn’t feel bad for ghosting his friends for a night, all he feels is adrenaline and a tinge of nerves that make his face contort into an eternal grin, lasting the entire day. He’s waited a month for this, and he couldn’t be more ready.
During the day, he records a bit with some friends, but his mind is always preoccupied, always tapping his foot to a song no one else would recognize, always checking the clock counting down the hours, minutes, seconds.
“—ream?”
“Huh?” He says, not thinking clearly on the task at handand trying to focus. George called him again and Dream hid frustration behind a smile. “What?”
“You alright? You’re acting weird. Are we keeping you from something?” Dream looks at George’s facecam and saw him fidgeting, nervous he was doing something wrong, worried he was taking up Dream’s time.
“No, no,” Dream consoles. “All eyes on you,” he smiles, and George shifts in his chair and hides a blush.
One of these days, Dream would absolutely love to look down from the stage and see George’s wide eyes staring back up at him, surrounded by the fans he calls family.
