Chapter Text
“Oh, god. Is that another one?”
Bright pink hair popped into your field of vision as you turned a sealed letter over in your hands. Slightly pushing one of her horns away from your face with a finger, you nodded. “It’s the third one this week.” Dragging your finger under the envelope’s lip you continued, “the first one was kind of cute but this is getting stalker level.”
Inside was the same tea-stained color paper and typewriter font as the last few damn letters. Skimming over it, it followed pretty much the same message as the last few with slightly different wording. Instead of commenting on the red hues in your lips, it went on for two paragraphs about how your voice drips like… something was scratched out and honey was written above it. Some ramblings about wanting to be together, showing you the world, typical love letter stuff.
“Should you tell a teacher or someone about this? It seems kinda sketchy.”
“Come on, It’s just a letter. We’ve been making more hero appearances with our agencies and everything. Something like this was bound to happen to one of us. There’s no mention of trying to actually own me or bodily harm so it’s pretty tame. Besides,” you turn to face her, bringing your arm up to flex. “I got these babies to protect me.” You make a show of kissing your bicep as Mina makes faces.
“Okay, okay, whatever, girl. But if you get one more, I’m telling Aizawa.”
You take one last look at the letter before slowly crumpling it into a ball. “Get moving, we're going to be late for class.” Slinging your bag over your shoulder, you toss the letter into the trash as you leave the 3A dorm’s mailroom.
———
Aizawa had been class A’s teacher since their first year. Apparently, there weren’t any other teachers who wanted to take the job and considering the luck that seemed to follow this class, you could understand why.
While you weren’t at UA for your first year, you still got your class’s fair share of villain luck your second year. There was a little bit of ransoming here, active duty there, but you were able to keep up despite it. Most of the class had welcomed you from the beginning. You were practically assaulted with questions on your first day and heard some avid scribbling whenever you answered something but no actual hazing. Some of the class needed more time to warm up to the idea of their little group of 20 expanding but everything pretty much fell together in time. Mina being her overly friendly self practically latched onto you the second you walked into the room and declared the two of you friends. It was rather nice, surprisingly. She acted like a UA guru, getting everyone to be nice to you, showing you cool spots around campus, and the like. She also kicked Mineta out of the seat next to her for you, so you questioned who was saving who, but you’ve sat next to her for two years now so, you can’t really say much.
As you’re taking your seat and pulling out some notebooks, you hear Kirishima’s laugh echo from down the hall.
“No, no, man! It was totally more like–Oh! Morning!”
“Morning~” Mina practically sang. “Guess who got something in the mail this morning.”
An elbow slams into your rib cage. “Ow!”
“Don’t tell me you got another letter.” Kirishima levels, his light tone from earlier gone. “That’s totally unmanly. Like, first off stalking is, you know, obviously bad. Secondly, if you’re gonna confess at least do it face to face I mean come on! Do they even sign them?”
A small chuckle escapes you, “ah yes because you should be headfirst into everything, and no not yet.”
“Exactly!” Kirishima beams and Bakugou smacks him upside the head.
“Sarcasm, hair for brains. When’re you gonna actually do something against this creep.” Bakugou completely ignores Kirishima pouting and checking to make sure his hair is still okay behind him.
“That’s what I’ve been saying!” Mina’s dark eyes glare down at you and you put your hands up in a show of non-combatants.
“It’s just a little weird. It’s not like the letter is showing up in my desk or gym locker. It’s just got my name and a stamp, it could be sent from anywhere.” You try to reason but the group is still glaring down at you in your seat and silence fills the room. You never thought the stares of three people would feel so heavy. You sigh, crossing your arms, and slouching as your head falls back. “Fine, fine. If another letter comes in, I’ll tell Aizawa. Happy?”
“Finally stopped being an idiot,” Bakugou grumbles taking the seat behind you while Mina sends you a shit-eating grin at her apparent triumph.
Besides, you weren’t going to get another letter anyway. You asked the mail stop workers to just throw away any letters from that sender since they always used the same envelope and stamp.
