"See you later" he whispered.
As much as he wants to hug and kiss his girlfriend, Yeonseok can't because of the cameras around. Na PD knows that they are secretly dating and he has warned them to keep it lowkey and to not give a hard time to the editing team in cutting lovey-dovey scenes.
Hyunbeen gave him a slight nod as he stepped closer to her. Having him this close makes her want to jump herself to him and bury her face on his chest.
Later — she told herself.
The next thing she knew, he's holding her hand. Afraid to get caught, she secretly roamed her eyes around and let out a small sigh when it seems like the cameras are focused in Mido and Jongsuk.
With Yeonseok squeezing her hand, she knows what he's trying to tell her silently. He must have heard from Mido or Ms. Kim Hae Sook that she cried earlier. She squeezed his hand back, hoping that he'll get what she's trying to tell him.
I'm okay.
Jongsuk and Mido made their goodbyes, a cue for them to free each other's hand.
Just when she's about to ride the van, she felt his arm on her back. She wants to panic, but she thought that it doesn't really matter in front of camera because they are WinterGarden after all, it would be fine to see them half-hugging each other.
He rubbed her back and smiled at her before she finally settled herself in the van with Mido.
He gave her a final nod, before separating. A nod which means, see you later.
"Gwaenchana?" Mido asked Hyunbeen when she noticed that she's been so quiet since they left Jeongseon.
"Ne, Unnie." She answered and gave her a weak smile.
"Aigoo, Hyunbeen-ah. We may not have season 3, but it doesn't mean it's the end for us. We can still hang out together when we're not busy. And I'm sure Yeonseokie will make y— coffee for us when that happens."
Does that make sense? Mido quickly checked the reaction of the other people in the van, afraid that the slip of her tongue would give hint to others that Yeonseok and Hyunbeen are dating. She almost said that Yeonseok will make her feel better when he gets home.
Yes, it's been three months since they moved together in an apartment. They agreed to get a new apartment so they could keep their relationship more private.
Hyunbeen just let out a deep sigh.
" Aigoo." Mido said as she rubs Hyunbeen's back.
When Hyunbeen reached their apartment, she quickly made her way to the bathroom to take a shower. Maybe, it will take away the sepanx that she's feeling right now. It just occurred to her that this could really be the last time that she will see them again.
Jang Gyeoul will always stay in her heart. She met a lot of good people through Hospital Playlist, she even met her current boyfriend through this drama. Not only that, it also helped her to gain more confidence in her career as an actress.
Mido unnie is right, we could still hang out when we're not busy. Kwak Hyunbeen, just focus on your current projects and make yourself busy, eo?
She didn't know how much time she took inside the bathroom showering, crying and talking to herself because when she went out, she found her boyfriend standing on their kitchen, drinking water.
"You're already here?" She asked as she make her way towards him.
"Eo—" Yeonseok noticed her swollen eyes so he quickly met her halfway and wrapped her inside his arms, not minding her still wet hair and the fact that she's only on her bath robe.
"Gwaenchana, Hyunbeen-ah. Gwaenchana." He told her repeatedly as he rubs her back. "I'll make sure to invite them here when they are not busy. We could also visit Ms. Kim Hae Sook when we have time. I'm so worried about you earlier when I heard that you cried. I'm glad I could finally comfort you like this."
He made her look at him by holding both sides of her face to give her an assurance that everything will be okay and that he's there for her.
He stared at her as if trying to see her soul through her eyes. He smiled at her before planting a kiss on her forehead.
He then again hugged her.. but tighter this time.
"Gwaenchana jal doel geoya~

Hyunbeen laughed when he started singing. She rested her head on his chest, grateful how he comforts her through his words and actions.
"Gomawo, Oppa."
"Hyunbeen-ah" Yeonseok called her.
They are now lying on their bed, with his arm as her pillow and her head on the side of his chest.
"Ne, oppa?" She looked up to see his face and smiled when he found him looking at her as well.
But he looks serious..
"Hyunbeen-ah, can I tell you something?"
She just nodded while pouting, which earned a smile from him.
"Earlier, when I heard that you cried. I badly wanted to hug and comfort you right there. For the first time, I regret dating privately."
His last sentence caught her attention but she chose to be quiet and just listen to him.
"It's not like I don't like it, it's just a shame that I can't be there when you needed me. Hyunbeen-ah..."
He stopped and thought if he should tell her or not.
Feeling his doubt, Hyunbeen put her arm on top of his stomach and moved closer.
"Tell me, Oppa."
"Hyunbeen-ah, should we start dating publicly? I mean, we will not tell everyone that we're dating. Let's just act like a couple even outside of this apartment. I want to do what other couples do, going on date, taking pictures, doing the groceries together, travelling together.. I want to do those things freely, with you. Mian, it's kinda selfish of me, huh? Nevermind, let's just sleep."
He then planted a kiss on top of her head.
"Aniyo." Hyunbeen said.
"Eo, we won't do that. Mian. I know it could affect our projects. Mianhae."
"No, Oppa. What I meant is, you're not selfish. I know what you're feeling. I want to do those things too. Think of it, Oppa. If we will do those things together outside this apartment, I think our fans would love it. Besides, I believe they'll get a hint after watching Ep 3 and 4 of Wise Mountain Village Life. And with regards to our projects, I believe they will still support us as long as we're doing our jobs right. Look at Kyungho Oppa and his girlfriend, their fans and people around them still support them. Let's do that, Oppa. Then confirm if ever someone asks us about it."
That made him sit.
He then slowly made her sit as well and held her hands.
"Are you really okay with that? I'm not forcing you to do that, hmm?"
She shook her head and smiled at him. She reached for his left cheek and caressed it.
"I'm sure of it, Oppa. I'm with you. Let's do that. Besides, it's been eight months since we started dating."
"Hyunbeen-ah, saranghae." And with that, he pulled her into a kiss.
A sweet, gentle and chaste kiss.
"Nado saranghae, Oppa. Let's go to sleep now, shall we? You need to rest Oppa. You've been awake for so long."
"Ne, let's sleep."
They both lied on their bed, facing each other while smiling.
"Saranghae," he told her once more, but this time in a cute way.
"Nado saranghae" she answered full of aegyo as well, the side of her that she only shows in front of him.
He pulled her closer and rested his chin on top of her head.
"Let's attend Kim Daho's wedding together." He suggested.
"I'm not invited to that, Oppa." She protested.
"That's okay, the invitation says I can bring one person with me. Let's go there together. That would be our first public appearance together. Let's show them that we're together, together."
"Eo, let's do that."
He planted another kiss on her head before closing his eyes, contented and happy.
