Chapter Text
JYP University is known as one of the most significant universities, along with SM University and YG University. A calm state welcomes you to JYP University.
Janitors were busy sweeping the floor and watering the plants. The only sound heard in the hallway was the footsteps of the guards who were roaming the university.
Everything was normal at JYP University.
"Can you fucking hurry up, Chou!" Chaeyoung silently yelled while looking at Tzuyu, who was climbing the wall.
Well, except for these three students who are cutting their classes
Tzuyu, brush the dust off her uniform and putting her jacket in her bag.
"I heard from Hyunjin a while ago that there's a new computer shop here," Chaeyoung said while folding her uniform.
"Mr. Park's class is boring as fuck," tzuyu started, making the two laugh before nodding their heads.
"That bald man gives me the lowest grade when I scold him for using the wrong formula," Dahyun said, earning a loud laugh.
"Well, coming from our brainy friend, I admit that I understand your lecture more than his," Chaeyoung said, looking at the two who were smirking at her.
"But you aren't listening to Dahyun. You're just copying Dahyun's answers," Tzuyu teased, making Dahyun laugh while Chaeyoung glared at Tzuyu before punching her arm.
"OUCH, YOU MIDGET!" Tzuyu yelled before punching Chaeyoung back.
"Idiots," Dahyun mumbled, watching Chaeyoung and Tzuyu bickering as they walked.
Present-day
Dahyun parked her motorcycle at JYP University park. All the students were looking at her.
Dahyun locked her motor before slowly removing her helmet. Every student looking at her met the cold eyes of Dahyun as the pale girl parked her motor properly. She wore her backpack on her right arm.
While her earphones were plugged into her ears, Dahyun leaned her body on her motor, waiting for her friends. She immediately looked at the gate and saw Tzuyu, who was waving at her.
"Hyun!" Tzuyu yelled before leaving the girl beside her, not forgetting to wink.
"Yow!" Tzuyu said while giving a fist bump to Dahyun. The two talked about the new update in PUBG when they saw Chaeyoung walking to them with a lollipop in her mouth.
"WHAT'S UP EVERYONE!" Chaeyoung greeted them wearing her big smile while Dahyun and Tzuyu raised their brows.
"You're late again," they both said, making Chaeyoung laugh.
"I mean, what's new to me?" Chaeyoung sarcastically said and threw the lollipop into the trash bin in front of them.
"Shoot," Dahyun and Tzuyu could only shake their heads before walking to their room. They were The School Meal Club. That's what they called themselves, but their university knew them as troublemakers.
The three were known for causing trouble. There was no week when these three weren't in the detention area because of their brains and skills in sports. JYP University couldn't afford to kick these three out.
As the trio entered their room, Dahyun immediately went to the back, sat beside the window wearing her earphones, and decided to nap.
Dahyun was always known for her cold attitude, especially her smart ass. She may have been the biggest troublemaker of the three, but she was the brainy one and could fix her trouble quickly, unlike the other two.
While Chaeyoung was known for her bullying antics, every newcomer to their university, if asked about bullying, would mention Son Chaeyoung.
Lastly, Tzuyu was the youngest of the three. She was similar to Dahyun, but their difference was Tzuyu's flirtatious nature. She liked to play with people's feelings and ghost them if she got bored.
No wonder these three were famous for their different attitudes, but no matter how many red flags and bad attitudes they showed, many students still liked them and even sent letters to their locker.
Loud laughs and some noise outside the building became silent as they heard the audible click of heels. They all looked and saw the stoic face of Ms. Roseanne Park walking elegantly while holding her YSL bag.
"ALL OF YOU, GET INSIDE THE ROOM!" Ms. Park yelled, which sent shivers down the spines of the students who immediately went back and sat in their assigned chairs.
Except for Son Chaeyoung, who was still outside, not noticing that their terror professor was already inside. Everyone looked at Ms. Park, who was raising her eyebrows while crossing her arms.
"Son, get your ass back here in the room, or you will sit in the detention room again!" Ms. Park sternly said, making Chaeyoung run to the room while Tzuyu silently laughed on the side, unaware that Dahyun, who was already in a deep sleep, was still unaware of the situation.
"Good morning, Ms. Roseanne," Chaeyoung cheekily said, making Ms. Park roll her eyes and point to the vacant seat in front of her.
As the students finished greeting Roseanne, they all went back to their seats, not daring to look at their professor, scared to answer a question.
"Okay, so today our topic is about chemistry," Ms. Park said while writing the word 'chemistry' using her expensive marker.
"So, could anyone tell me who invented chemistry, and what year did chemistry come into existence?" Ms. Park's question made some students groan.
"Ms. Park, we just started the class, and you're already asking us that?" one of her students ranted, making Ms. Park raise her eyebrows.
"Are you saying something, Mr. Mark? Do you want to answer?" Ms. Park's response made the boy nervously shake his head.
"So if you can't answer my question, just sit quietly in your seat," Ms. Park continued, making her students gulp.
Everyone knew that Ms. Park was known as the most terrifying professor in college. Well, all of their professors were terrifying, but Ms. Park disciplined them well. While Ms. Park was finding a student to answer her question, she furrowed her eyebrows while looking at Tzuyu's seatmate.
It was Kim Dahyun who was sleeping in her class. No one dared to try sleeping in Ms. Park's class except for Kim Dahyun.
"Kim Dahyun!" Ms. Park slammed her hand on the table, startling the students. Tzuyu, who was beside Dahyun, nudged her, making the pale girl groan and slowly open her eyes, removing her earphones.
"What?" Dahyun asked Tzuyu, while some students silently laughed at Dahyun's curious face and Tzuyu's panicked look.
"Ms. Kim, it's already the hundredth time that you've been sleeping in my class," Ms. Park said, making Dahyun look in front and see Ms. Park raising her eyebrows with her arms crossed.
"Now that you're the one I caught sleeping in my class, I need you to answer my question," Ms. Park said, making everyone look at Dahyun.
"Who invented chemistry, and what year did chemistry come into existence?" Ms. Park asked sternly, looking at Dahyun.
"Pardon?" Dahyun said, now fully awake at the sudden question.
"I said, who invented chemistry, and what year did chemistry come into existence?" Dahyun looked at Ms. Park for five seconds before clearing her throat.
"Ms. Park, there are so many types of chemistry, and I'm not sure which one you're referring to," Dahyun said. Ms. Park immediately blinked, forgetting that Dahyun was her smartest student.
"The father of modern chemistry and what year did modern chemistry come into existence?" Dahyun nodded before answering.
"Antoine Lavoisier was the one who invented modern chemistry. Modern chemistry exists in the seventeenth century, and it officially began on February 1, 2009, founded by Robert Boyle," Dahyun answered, looking straight at their professor.
"How does she have that brain when she always sleeps in Ms. Park's class?" one of her classmates whispered.
"Still impressive, Kim," Ms. Park said before letting Dahyun return to her seat.
"But if I catch you sleeping in my class again, I won't care how smart you are, Kim. I will drop you from my subject," Ms. Park finished, making Chaeyoung laugh loudly.
"Ms. Son, name the mother of chemistry, and what year did she exist? I also include the Greek word for chemistry," Ms. Park said, making Chaeyoung stop laughing while Tzuyu laughed hard, and Dahyun couldn't hide her smile watching Chaeyoung embarrass herself in front of the class.
"Damn, dude, I can't believe I embarrassed myself because of that stupid question. Damn, I don't even know what topic we're on, like hell. I didn't even listen to Mr. Jeon in third year," Chaeyoung ranted.
"Ms. Park needs a love life; that professor is always in a bad mood," Tzuyu said, shaking Chaeyoung's hair when they saw some freshmen playing in the field.
"Do you know what I'm thinking?" Tzuyu asked while grinning at the two, who immediately placed their bags on the vacant bench.
"FOOTBALL TIME!" the trio yelled and pushed each other to kick the ball.
On the other side of the university, a girl with bangs was watching her members' movements when she noticed one of her members didn't synchronize with the beat of Niziu's "Step by Step."
"Back to the top," the bangs girl sighed before restarting the music again. Momo crossed her arms, observing her members.
"Your hands and feet need to be synchronized," Momo said and paused the music before facing the members of the dance club.
"Is it that hard that you can't follow a simple move?" Momo asked before playing the music again, watching her members struggle to synchronize because of the hard choreography that Momo had made.
As you can see, Momo was the dance club president and the leader they needed to win over SM University in upcoming dance battles, so she was very strict with her members.
"One, two, and three, like that," Momo said, making her moves gracefully without any mistakes.
"Try again," she said before playing the music again.
"And stop!" Momo said before looking at the feet and hands of her members, who were already perfect. Their hands and feet were in the same position.
"Ms. Choi, you need to focus on your moves. You are always late sometimes," Momo said, checking her wristwatch.
"Okay, time to go home tomorrow again," Momo said. Everyone in the practice room sighed in relief before going to their bags, drinking water, and changing their T-shirts.
"Goodbye, Hirai," one of her members said. Momo nodded and still made some new movements to their dance. After a few minutes, all members bid their goodbyes, and the only one left in the dance room was Momo.
Momo exhaustedly sat on the floor, leaning her body against the wall. She drank her water and sighed loudly.
As you can see, Momo was having a bad day today. First, she got late for her class, second, she ran out of her favorite noodles in the cafeteria, and lastly, her members who couldn't synchronize on the easy steps made her day worse.
After a few more sighs, Momo decided to change her T-shirt, which was already wet from sweat.
"Good happenings, please, before this day ends," Momo whispered to herself before locking the door of the dance room.
On the other side, the trio took the game seriously as they noticed the freshman mocking them.
"Hey, kid, your kick sucks!" Chaeyoung yelled at the freshman playing with them.
"At least I'm not short!" the boy retorted, only to trip after Dahyun intentionally pushed him, which made Chaeyoung and Tzuyu laugh.
"That's cheating!" the boy groaned, earning a teasing smile from Dahyun.
"Cheating my ass!" Dahyun yelled back.
"Chou, you better win this!" Chaeyoung yelled and kicked the ball to Tzuyu's side.
"You better goal it!" Dahyun added, blocking the freshmen who were running toward Tzuyu.
As Tzuyu kicked the ball hard, everyone burst into laughter, even Chaeyoung and Dahyun.
"Embarrassing, Chou!" Chaeyoung yelled amid laughter. They immediately quieted down when a loud voice echoed across the field.
"GOD DAMN IT!" the girl with bangs yelled before scanning the field, looking for the culprit.
"Who the hell kicked this ball?!" The trio and the freshman turned to see the girl with bangs, her white uniform dirtied.
"WHO?!" Momo yelled again, making the freshman point to Tzuyu, who was staring back at Momo.
Tzuyu was about to deny it when Momo kicked the ball hard, causing Tzuyu to fall and groan in pain. Everyone stared at Momo in shock as she walked away, cursing.
Chaeyoung looked at the freshmen, who were whispering to each other.
"Why did you point at Tzuyu, dumbass?" one freshman asked.
"It was her fault," the one who pointed to Tzuyu replied.
"You don't know them. They can make your life hell," another whispered.
"That hurts," Dahyun said as she helped Tzuyu stand up.
"I thought she kicked my brain too," Tzuyu quipped, earning laughter from the group and nervous glances from the freshmen.
"So you've chosen death?" Tzuyu asked, walking toward the freshmen, who gulped nervously.
"Good luck tomorrow, boys!" Chaeyoung said, tapping their shoulders. The three were about to leave when they heard a shaky voice that made them stop.
"Leave us alone. What do you want?" Chaeyoung smiled widely and faced the freshmen, who were trying to be brave.
"Simple."
"Ugh, this corn dog is so delicious," Chaeyoung said, savoring every bite of her snack.
After the three gave some threats to the freshmen, they handed over their money to the trio.
"They're funny, easy to fool. As if we'd waste our time on them," Tzuyu commented, taking a sip of her milk tea.
"But it was worth it, right? If we didn't have the money, we wouldn't be eating now," Chaeyoung remarked, earning a nod from Tzuyu, while Dahyun waited for her shawarma.
"Spicy, please," Dahyun requested as the old lady added the spicy sauce to her shawarma.
"Thank you," Dahyun said, returning to her friends, who were seated at a vacant table.
"Can I have a bite?" Tzuyu asked, and Dahyun handed her some food. Among the three, Dahyun was the most caring. Despite her reputation as the "ice queen," she had a soft spot for her Best friends.
As they enjoyed their food, Dahyun's phone vibrated in her pocket, signaling a message. She set aside her shawarma to check the message.
FROM: Jacky Jackson
Hyun, same place, 8 PM.
Brian Kang wants to challenge you.
The prize is 2000 won.
After reading the message, Dahyun smiled widely and replied, saying she was coming.
"What's that, Hyun?" Chaeyoung asked, noticing Dahyun's smile. Dahyun shook her head, claiming it was just a meme.
Unbeknownst to her friends, Dahyun was an illegal racer who engaged in illicit activities to earn money. They only knew her as someone who rebelled against her family.
"Guys, I need to go. My mom messaged me," Tzuyu announced, standing up from her seat. Chaeyoung and Dahyun nodded, bidding her goodbye.
"Want me to take you home, Chae?" Dahyun offered. Chaeyoung nodded, thanking the old lady for the food.
"Here," Dahyun said, handing Chaeyoung a helmet before starting her motor.
"Thanks, dude," Chaeyoung replied, putting on the helmet and hopping onto the back of Dahyun's motorbike.
"Whoa," Chaeyoung exclaimed as Dahyun accelerated, feeling the rush of cold wind.
After a few minutes, they arrived at Chaeyoung's house, where her grandmother was waiting at the door, smiling.
"That was fast, Dahyun-ah. You brought Chaeyoungie home," her grandmother greeted as Dahyun removed her helmet to greet her.
"Hi, Grandma," Dahyun said with a slight bow.
"Oh, Dahyun-ah, you brought Chaeyoungie," the old lady remarked, making both girls chuckle.
"Come in. I've prepared some food. Let's eat dinner. Where's Tzuyu?" Chaeyoung's grandmother asked, but Dahyun shook her head.
"Grandma, Tzuyu already went home," Chaeyoung replied before Dahyun tapped her helmet.
"I'm okay, Grandma. I have some errands to run," Dahyun answered, prompting Chaeyoung to glance at her curiously.
"Since when does she have errands to run?" Chaeyoung wondered, observing Dahyun.
"Well, I'd better go. It's getting late," Chaeyoung's grandmother said, heading inside. Dahyun gave Chaeyoung a fist bump.
"Gotta go, bro," Dahyun said, putting on her helmet and starting her engine. She honked her horn before riding off, leaving Chaeyoung watching her disappear into the night.
"You're something else, Dubs," Chaeyoung mumbled, closing the gate behind her.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As Dahyun arrived at the venue, she could already hear the noise of people on the field. She removed her helmet and walked towards Jackson.
"Yo, dude!" Jackson yelled, putting his arm around Dahyun's shoulder as they walked towards Dahyun's rival.
"So, you're the ace that Jackson has been talking about," Brian said, his tone dripping with arrogance. Dahyun maintained her stoic expression, chewing her gum as Brian extended his hand to her.
"I'm Brian Kang, known as Young-K, famous as the fastest racer in Goyang-si," Brian introduced himself, but Dahyun remained expressionless, neither accepting nor shaking his hand.
"Dahyun Kim," she replied simply. Brian clenched his jaw when Dahyun didn't accept his handshake and awkwardly withdrew his hand.
"Dahyun Kim, I see," Brian said, more in a mocking tone, as he glanced at Dahyun's motorcycle.
"One circuit, 2000 won," Brian declared, putting on his expensive helmet, while Dahyun spat out her gum before wearing her own helmet.
"You can do this, Hyun," Jackson whispered, while Dahyun cracked her neck from side to side.
All eyes in the venue were on the upcoming race. The sound of Brian and Dahyun's engines echoed across the field.
A sexy lady stood in front of them, holding the white flag with the whistle at her lips.
As the white flag dropped along with the sound of the whistle, the race began, with Brian taking the lead and Dahyun following closely behind, speeding her motorcycle.
There were whispers of doubt from the spectators on the bench.
"She's so slow, I thought she was an ace."
"Her motor is so old."
"A girl winning? That's impossible."
And more insults directed at Dahyun floated through the air.
Everyone believed Brian would win, with the distance between them seeming insurmountable. But then, everyone gasped as they saw Dahyun taking the lead, with Brian trailing behind, struggling to catch up. Dahyun increased her speed, holding onto the throttle tightly.
"Go, Hyun!" Jackson shouted, his hope reignited. Dahyun continued to accelerate until she crossed the finish line, followed closely by Brian.
"Kim Dahyun first!" the announcer declared. A few moments later, Brian crossed the finish line.
"Brian Kang, second." Jackson rushed to Dahyun as she slowly removed her helmet.
"That was a great race, Kim," Brian said, acknowledging her effort, while the sexy lady handed the prize money to Dahyun.
The crowd congratulated Dahyun as the siren blared, signaling the arrival of the police. Dahyun started her engine, urging Jackson to hop on the back as she tossed him the other helmet. With a quick u-turn, they sped off, narrowly escaping the police chase.
"Shit!" Jackson cursed, gripping onto Dahyun as they narrowly avoided the police car.
"Hold on tight!" Dahyun yelled, speeding through the streets until they reached an abandoned tunnel, where they finally breathed a sigh of relief as the police passed by.
"Fucking Kim Dahyun, I still want to live, you stupid idiot!" Jackson yelled, but Dahyun just laughed.
"Chill, it wasn't that fast," she replied, earning a punch in the arm from Jackson.
"For you maybe, but for me, I was holding on for dear life," Jackson retorted dramatically, making Dahyun roll her eyes.
After a few minutes of observing their surroundings, Jackson and Dahyun decided to head to the nearest ramen shop.
"Jack, do you know of any job that isn't illegal?" Dahyun asked as they ate. Jackson paused, considering her question before responding.
"I'm looking, but for now, we'll have to hang in there, Hyun. I'll let you know if I find anything," Jackson replied, taking a sip of water.
"What's with the sudden change? You've been doing this for years," Dahyun asked, setting down her chopsticks to look at Jackson.
"I can't keep hiding like this. Even my friends don't know about my illegal activities. I want to stop and save myself. So I'm exploring other options. I have a feeling Brian will do something, I know that look. He won't let me off that easy," Dahyun explained, nodding as he waited for Dahyun to continue.
"I can sense that Brian will try to ruin me. Trust me, Jackson, I have a gut feeling. I've been doing illegal things for five years, and every time I win, my rivals congratulate me, but they always try to ruin me in the end. Remember Yugyeom? He almost spilled my secrets."
"I know, Hyun, so don't worry. I will help you, okay? I will find decent work for you and me," Dahyun nodded before giving a big sigh to herself.
As the two finished eating, Dahyun stopped at a store, making Jackson look at Dahyun curiously.
"Let's go," Dahyun said while Jackson hopped on the back.
"This is life," Jackson yelled, letting the cold wind hit his face.
The two were already on the street when Dahyun decreased her speed and stopped at an abandoned house.
"Get down. Idiot," Dahyun said while Jackson rolled his eyes but still followed her.
"My apartment was a little bit there, and you didn't stop in front of my door," Jackson said while looking at Dahyun, who was calling something.
"Ahri!" Dahyun yelled. After a few seconds, a white Maltese ran towards Dahyun, wiggling his tail, and Jackson couldn't help but smile.
Dahyun was known as the cold one in their University, but she had a soft heart when she trusted the person.
Dahyun always sees herself as a failure no matter how perfect she is, and because of that, Dahyun loses her way to find a light. It's like Dahyun's life was dark, no light, no exit at all.
Yeah, she has friends that she trust and takes care of her, but the light that she's been finding is the person who will stay on her side, the person who will give a light or rainbow on her dark days.
"You are just a kid who has been crying on the road before. Look at you now. You've become mature enough, but you forgot to open your heart again," Jackson mumbled while looking at Dahyun, who is petting Ahri.
"Good boy, Ahri. Eat this, okay," Dahyun said before patting the head of the dog who is wiggling his tails, eating the food that Dahyun gave to him.
"I thought you have a phobia of dogs?" Jackson asked as Dahyun stood up.
"That dog saves me in my darkness," Dahyun answered while smiling, remembering how she and Ahri met.
"Why don't you adopt that dog?" Jackson asked, making Dahyun look at him.
"That dog I think was missing, so I'm just feeding him, waiting for his owner to find him."
"When that dog has been here, I didn't say that on our street," Jackson said, cracking his fingers.
"Three months," Dahyun answered and got an unbelievable look from Jackson.
"Are you nuts? Three months, and yet you aren't adopting that dog. You could adopt that dog already," Jackson yelled while Dahyun smiled at him before bobbing her head.
"I'll think about that anyway. Goodbye, Jack," Jackson waved his hand, watching Dahyun, who is already parking her motorcycle.
Next day
It's already 9:30 am and the class was still ongoing. Dahyun was looking at their teacher, Mr. Kim Wonpil, but her mind was flying while Chaeyoung was busy teasing Tzuyu, who had a band-aid on her nose.
"Before my class ends, I will give you a short quiz. If you finish first, you can go to the cafeteria. For all who can't have an answer on the quiz sheet, meet me at the office," Mr. Wonpil explained, making some students groan.
"Shut it!" Mr. Kim yelled before calling Elkie in front of him.
"Ms. Elkie, can you distribute this paper to your classmates?" After Mr. Wonpil said, Elkie stood up on her seat and distributed the paper to all of them.
As Elkie placed the quiz paper on Dahyun's table, the pale girl looked at it, examining it while Chaeyoung and Tzuyu looked at each other.
"Do you know this?" Tzuyu whispered to Chaeyoung, who just shook her head. All students were cursing, trying to find some answer on their seatmate, and kept whining, saying it's hard except for the pale girl who continued circling her paper sheet.
After a few minutes, Dahyun stood up from her seat. All of her classmates couldn't help but look at Dahyun.
"How come she has answered already?" her classmates whispered.
Dahyun passed the paper to Mr. Kim, followed by Mina, the president of their University.
"Still impressive, Kim and Myoui," Mr. Kim said while reading both quiz sheets.
"You can go now." Dahyun went back to her seat, but before she left their classroom, she glanced at Chaeyoung and Tzuyu, who looked like lost puppies.
Dahyun smiled a little while folding the paper with an answer. She went to the side of Tzuyu, secretly passing the paper.
FAST FORWARD
After their quiz with Mr. Kim, Chaeyoung and Tzuyu went to the cafeteria.
"Momo here," a loud pitch yell of a girl caught the attention of others.
Momo nodded before paying for the energy drink that she had bought.
Not until she got a push by someone.
"Thank you, pretty," Tzuyu sweetly said to the cashier. She was about to walk when some student pushed her that made her push the girl beside her.
"FUCK!" the girl on the ground shouted while some students were laughing at her.
"Are you okay, miss?" Tzuyu asked and put her tray on the table, helping the latter to stand as their eyes met. The girl who was in front of her pulled her hand immediately.
"YOU AGAIN!" Tzuyu looked at the girl, remembering her face.
"Hey, aren't you the one who kicked the ball yesterday? That's why I have bruises," Tzuyu said, but the bangs girl just glared at her.
"It's because you deserve it," Momo finished before pushing Tzuyu, almost making the tall girl fall.
"Let's go, Sattang. The devil keeps nagging me!" Momo yelled before getting her food while Sana followed the latter.
"Yah!" Tzuyu yelled but Momo just ignored her, making Chaeyoung laugh.
"Chou zero," Chaeyoung said while laughing, looking at Tzuyu biting her food harshly.
On the other side, Dahyun was sitting on a broken chair, inhaling the cigarette, letting the smoke enter her lungs before blowing it into the air while watching the clear sky.
She was on the rooftop to relax her mind, which was full of thoughts. While her brain was in another world, she didn't notice that someone was already beside her.
"Smoking isn't allowed at school, Kim," someone spoke, which made Dahyun startled.
Dahyun slowly looked up to meet a black-haired girl wearing a neat uniform, her hair in a high ponytail. Dahyun looked again at the sky before blowing the smoke of her cigarette, not minding the stare.
"Kim, smoking isn't allowed for students, especially for you. You could get a violation because of that stupid cigarette," the girl continued, looking at Dahyun who was inhaling the cigarette.
"KIM DAHYUN!" the girl stomped her feet loudly when Dahyun ignored her.
Dahyun felt the girl was already mad, but she still chose to ignore it.
"Fuck!" the girl shouted before Dahyun could inhale. She grabbed Dahyun's cigarette harshly.
"Why do you care?" Dahyun coldly asked, looking at the stomped cigarette.
"Because I care about you," Dahyun chuckled sarcastically before getting her vape from her pocket and standing up, matching the height of the girl in front of her.
"Then stop caring about me, Myoui," Dahyun said before blowing the smoke towards Mina and leaving the Japanese girl on the rooftop.
As Mina was left alone, the smell of vanilla on Dahyun's vape still lingered on her nose, but that didn't matter to her. The matter was the pain in Dahyun's eyes.
As Dahyun walked out, she put on her earphones before blowing the last smoke, putting back her vape in her pocket, and going to the nearest comfort room.
Dahyun washed her face before looking at the mirror. She saw herself as useless; she didn't even know what happened to her.
"You are still useless, Dahyun," Dahyun whispered to herself before washing her face again.
As the bell rang, Dahyun wiped her face with her towel before going to her next subject and saw Chaeyoung and Tzuyu, who were already in the room.
Chaeyoung was sitting on the chair's arm while Tzuyu was sitting on the chair, and the two were bickering.
"Where did you go, Hyun?" Chaeyoung asked while Dahyun looked at them.
"Park," Dahyun lied. The two didn't ask more while Chaeyoung went outside to play with some students when she bumped into someone.
"Look where you're going," Chaeyoung said to the girl who had her hair down. The jocks laughed but stopped when they saw her face.
"Next time, you should look where you're going and stop playing the freshmen, son," Mina said, making Chaeyoung's eyes widen.
"It's always like this. Go back to your room," Mina glared at Chaeyoung before entering the room.
Back to Chaeyoung.
"You made the president mad," Tzuyu teased while Chaeyoung poked her nose with a band-aid that made Tzuyu groan in pain.
"Fuck you, Son Chaeyoung, you asshole!" Tzuyu yelled before running to Chaeyoung.
This is a new start for them.
In the span of twelve months, how much could change.
