Jayce woke up in the early morning, nothing new or uncommon for him, he had an active mind after all and woke up early nearly every morning, eager and inspired to try out new ideas and theories about magic and their Hextech.
What was uncommon is that Viktor was still asleep next to him on the bed, his partner was usually already, or still, up when Jayce arose. Either busy with warming up some milk for breakfast, or already at the desk tinkering on a new invention.
He cherished these moments incredibly much since they were so rare and passed so quickly, he loved looking at Viktor in such utter peace and rest. His brown, curled bangs have fallen into his face and reached down to his lashes, his face normally so full of expression was completely blank, still blissfully asleep.
It’s been almost a year since Viktor has come into his life, not only that but he saved Jayce and made him the man he was today.
There has been a chemistry between them since the beginning and they danced around a mutual attraction for months before finally getting together. It had actually been Viktor who confessed first, which has been surprising for the both of them. Jayce normally wasn’t the kind of man to feel flustered or was lost for words quickly, but at that moment he has been, with Viktor muttering theses words in his beautiful foreign accent that Jayce still couldn’t really place.
That has been eight months ago, their relationship has started slowly, at first nothing much has changed, a few fleeting touches here, a careful kiss there, now they worked and fitted perfectly together like two clockwork pieces. They knew exactly what the other liked, how they are feeling based on face expression and body language, they made sure that the other didn’t overworked himself and cuddled up in bed nearly every night.
Jayce couldn’t be happier to have his beautiful partner by his side. He brushed his knuckles carefully over Viktor’s sharp cheekbone and smiled, he didn’t even know how long he‘s been staring at Viktor’s face by now. The smaller man let out a soft groan and furrowed his brows as he woke up. „Good Morning my starlet“ Jayce has began to call him that after a while because he thought that the small moles all over his boyfriend‘s body looked like stars
„Morning Jayce“ Viktor responded in that familiar lilting accent and hid his face in his lover‘s chest to get a few more moments of rest „I didn’t expect you to be awake already“ He stated with a small smile
„Neither did i, but i‘m glad i did“ Jayce responded and brushed through Viktor’s hair „We should get up, it’s already seven am after all“ Viktor sighed after a glance to the clock on his nightstand
„Just a few more minutes please. We‘ve already worked hard enough all week and deserve a bit more time for us“ Jayce argued, not wanting this moment to end yet. Viktor cupped his face and brushed over Jayce‘s cheek with his thumb
„Alright, just a few minutes“ he agreed and Jayce had to smile at that.
Viktor‘s amber eyes looked even more vibrant in the morning light, more similar to rich honey, he could get lost in them forever and wouldn’t regret a single moment of doing so, Viktor noticed that and chuckled softly „Is everything alright? You‘re even more affectionate than usual“ Viktor asked, not minding it at all, he enjoyed their short mornings together as well and was incredibly happy to have Jayce in his life.
Jayce who listened to him, beamed at him in excitement at every small breakthrough or discovery and looked at him like he was the most precious thing in this world and not just a cripple from the underground. Jayce made him feel incredibly loved and even good about himself.
Viktor planted a small kiss on his partner‘s lips and felt the other man smile softly into it while holding him closer „How about we have breakfast in bed? We haven’t done that in months“ Viktor suggested. The last time they have done that was when Jayce has been sick a few months ago and had to stay in bed for a whole week.
While Jayce nodded in agreement, he still didn’t let got of the smaller man and continued to hold him close „Sounds like a great idea. You really are a genius“ Talis chuckled softly and kissed along Viktor’s jawline down onto his neck which made his lover giggle
„Your stubbles tickle“ it wasn’t necessarily a complaint, he knew that his partner liked them, he has told him so several times and has even pouted when Jayce shaved them off once.
Their moment moment got interrupted by the sound of Viktor’s stomach growling „Alright, breakfast it is then“ Jayce grinned and gave his boyfriend one last kiss before getting out of bed to prepare something to eat.
