Chapter Text
Saturday, January 22
Yoongi pushed the button and aimed the camera forward. He sucked at this. He sucked so much. Yoongi wished Jungkook would be the one recording as he had so much more experience. Yoongi’s hands were shaking, resulting in the camera shaking as well, creating very unappealing shots. But Jungkook was driving. As the car they were currently all sitting in was Jungkook’s, Yoongi didn’t feel comfortable driving it for him.
Jungkook glanced at Yoongi and pressed his lips together, holding a chuckle in. Yoongi noticed and he sighed, lowering the camera.
“What?” he pouted.
Jungkook shook his head. “No, nothing. You’re doing great,” he complimented Yoongi even though he knew Yoongi was doing far from great. Yoongi babbled something about not wanting to do this. “We’re almost there. As soon as we arrive I’ll take it from you, okay? Just… try to keep a steady hand. Or film those two in the back,” Jungkook gestured toward the back seats of the car where Jimin and Taehyung were sitting.
Yoongi turned to look at them, pointing the camera at them. Jimin was leaning into Taehyung. Both of them were looking at something on Taehyung’s phone, giggling and commenting on it quietly. Yoongi felt the corners of his mouth lifting in a smile when he watched his friends joke around. Because they weren’t always like this. It felt so much better knowing that everything was okay with them.
Yoongi chuckled, getting their attention finally. Taehyung lifted his head. He stuck his tongue out at Yoongi and the camera. Seeing this, Jimin turned his head as well, joining his boyfriend at pulling funny faces at the camera. Jimin burst out laughing and turned back to Taehyung, who still looked funny. He leaned in and shamelessly sucked Taehyung’s tongue into his mouth, turning the fun activity into a heated kiss.
Yoongi turned back in his seat, grimacing. “They’re being gross again,” he told Jungkook, who used the rear view mirror to see what was going on in the backseat of his car where Taehyung and Jimin were making out.
“It’s better than… you know. Don’t you think?” Jungkook said, keeping his eyes on the road for the most part.
“Definitely,” Yoongi snorted and looked out the window, putting the camera into his lap and taking in the view himself instead.
They had been driving for more than two hours, only making one stop on their way from Daegu when Taehyung started complaining that he had to pee really badly. Their destination was a ski resort just outside of Daegwallyeong, in the county of Pyeongchang. From what Yoongi knew about it, it was the same ski resort Jungkook and Jimin used to visit when they were little, so they were pretty familiar with the area. Jimin booked an entire cottage back in September as soon as Jungkook had informed him that Yoongi was down with the idea of a winter vacation. Yoongi was so glad that they could all go in the end given the events which had occurred in the past few months.
But now they were all there, the car slowly approaching one of the many similar cottages in the area. Yoongi’s jaw dropped when he saw it.
Jungkook’s car had come to a stop. Yoongi unbuckled his seatbelt and opened the door, immediately being hit by the cold late January weather. In only his wool sweater, Yoongi took a few steps, hearing the snow crunch underneath his legs and fog appear in front of his mouth every time he breathed out.
The view was absolutely beautiful. The cottage was wooden, looked very cosy from the outside. There wasn’t one cloud in the sky and the sun was shining, reflecting in the snow, making Yoongi squint when he looked around. Jungkook had told him that the slopes were a few kilometres away, so they would have to drive there, but given the ski passes also included paid parking, it didn’t seem like a problem.
While Yoongi was admiring the view, Jungkook walked around his car and opened the truck to get his and Yoongi’s winter jackets from there. He then walked over to Yoongi and put the jacket over his shoulders.
“Thanks,” Yoongi said and Jungkook smiled at him, putting his own jacket on.
Standing next to each other, they were interrupted by a snow ball suddenly hitting Jungkook’s back. Jungkook looked over his shoulder to see Jimin standing there, his hand still in the air and there was horror in his eyes.
Jimin started backing up as Jungkook zipped up his jacket. “That was a mistake. I swear. Tae dodged it. It was meant for him,” Jimin said, but to no avail as Jungkook broke into a run and started chasing him around. “No. Help me,” Jimin shrieked as he tried to escape Jungkook. He almost slipped on the snow, slowing him down. Jungkook caught up to him, grabbed him by his hips and lifted him up with no problem. In the next second Jimin was flying through the air and landed in a snowdrift by the road. Jungkook started skipping back to Yoongi with a proud grin on his face. Yoongi chuckled when Jimin picked himself up, white from the snow, spitting it all around himself.
“Let’s take a look inside, shall we?” Jungkook giggled as if he had not just thrown his best friend head first in snow. Then, he grabbed Yoongi’s hand, intertwining their fingers and leading him in the cottage.
Jungkook pulled out his phone to read the instructions carefully, finding a code and entering it in the panel, which was located right next to the door. “Nine, three, three, zero,” he mumbled while pressing the correct digits. The panel beeped and the diode turned green. The door clicked and when Jungkook tried the handle, it was open.
Yoongi knew the interior would be beautiful, but he had no idea just how beautiful. The wooden vibe continued inside as well. There was a huge area with two sofas and two armchairs and a fireplace. Yoongi and Jungkook took their shoes off, slipping into some disposable white slippers. They slowly walked through the whole cottage. It was luxury while still maintaining the cosy mountain vibe. Right next to the open living room area, there was a spacious kitchen with a dining area, and on the other side of the cottage was a small hall that lead into two rooms, one smaller and one bigger with another fireplace, this time electrical, and a pretty big bathroom. Jungkook informed him that there was also a sauna just outside the backdoor, which was available to use. The floors were heated and there was no way Yoongi would get cold in there.
Soon they were joined by Taehyung and his snowman boyfriend, whose clothes was soaked with melted snow.
“Which room do you want?” Yoongi asked Taehyung and Jimin after they were done with their tour.
“I don’t care,” Jimin said, “I just need to get a hot bath.” His teeth were chattering, but Yoongi would bet it was just an act to be more dramatic, which was why Jungkook didn’t think anything of it.
“Maybe you should take the bigger one. The one with the fireplace,” Taehyung suggested.
“Why is that?” Jungkook asked.
Taehyung shrugged. “For the most of the stay me and Minie had the better room in Malaysia. I think it’s your turn now,” he explained. The rest of them agreed and so it was decided.
“That means we get the better room when we go somewhere in summer, right?” Jimin whispered to Taehyung when they were all on their way back to the car to unpack.
Taehyung smirked at his boyfriend devilishly. “Exactly,” he whispered back.
“You’re so smart,” Jimin wrapped his arm around Taehyung’s waist. “It’s hot.”
“Keep it PG,” Yoongi snapped at them.
“Oh, just wait for tonight,” Jimin told Taehyung, “we’ll move it up to R. Or even NC-17.” Taehyung’s smile widened.
It took them long enough to unpack. Having to bring enough food for four grown ass men for seven dinners and seven breakfasts, most of the trunk was filled with bags of food. At least they decided they would always get lunch somewhere in the resort. Yoongi had self-proclaimed himself the chef and started bossing them around, telling them where to put certain food in the kitchen as well as other things they had brought with them.
“Jimin told me him and Tae wanna go out. You know, look around a bit. Do you wanna join them?” Jungkook asked Yoongi just as he brought the last bag from the car. “I don’t wanna go alone, but I could use some shots of the outside,” he added.
“I wanted to make dinner,” Yoongi argue.
Jungkook looked at the clock on his phone and laughed. “It’s not even four in the afternoon.”
“Oh, well, then… Yeah, I guess we can go.”
Yoongi knew damn well why he didn’t want to go. It had nothing to do with the cold weather and everything to do with Taehyung and Jimin being absolutely insufferable together. They had been for a few weeks now and while Yoongi was happy for them, there were things he didn’t need to see or hear. When they were all spending New Year’s at Jimin’s place, Yoongi accidentally walked in on them. Ever since then he had the image carved into his brain, not able to get rid of it.
Jungkook had his camera focused on his two friends running around and chasing each other like kids, Jimin holding a big chunk of snow in his hands, ready to launch it at Taehyung any second. Taehyung was screaming and he hid behind Yoongi, knowing Jimin would never throw the snow at Yoongi. It was a clever strategy until Yoongi glared at Jimin and stepped aside, allowing him to attack Taehyung. Taehyung’s screams grew louder with laughter mixing in. Yoongi joined Jungkook, standing beside him with his hand on Jungkook’s waist. He watched through the camera lens how Taehyung grabbed Jimin and together they fell, rolling around in the snow, trying to get the upper hand.
When Jungkook thought he finally had enough usable footage, he put the camera away and took Yoongi’s held out hand.
“You didn’t bring gloves?” Yoongi asked him as he eyed Jungkook’s reddening hand.
“I did. Just not with me now,” Jungkook assured him. “It’s hard to use the camera when you’re wearing gloves,” he explained.
Without hesitation, Yoongi took his other glove off of his hand and handed it to Jungkook. Jungkook eyed it, confused, but then he accepted it. They intertwined their gloved hands again, Yoongi putting his other hand into his pocket.
“I think we should go back soon. I really wanna start cooking. I’m kinda hungry,” Yoongi confessed, knowing Jungkook would always do everything in his power to make sure Yoongi’s eating habits were healthy.
Jungkook eyed him up and down, chuckling. “You’re cold, aren’t you?” Yoongi’s cheeks and nose were red. Jungkook found it really cute that his boyfriend turned into an icicle whenever exposed to cold weather. As it was the end of January and the temperatures were way below zero, it was only understandable.
“A little bit,” Yoongi admitted. Jungkook pulled him closer as if he could transfer some of his body heat over to Yoongi through the thick layers of their coats.
“Okay, let’s go back.”
As Jimin and Taehyung decided to spend some more time playing in the snow, Yoongi and Jungkook were walking back alone. Jimin couldn’t help but think back to Taehyung playing in the sand a couple of months ago when they first met. There was something about Taehyung’s childish side that he adored so much. It was endearing how happy Taehyung looked while covered in snow from head to toe.
It was so warm inside of the cottage. The heated floors felt great against their cold feet. As soon as they walked in their room, Jungkook put down his camera and squatted down in front of the electric fireplace placed in their room. After a while he finally managed to turn it on and he stood up with a proud smile on his face.
Yoongi approached him from behind and before Jungkook could turn around to face him, Yoongi wrapped his hands around Jungkook’s waist, back hugging him. He then lifted Jungkook’s sweater and slipped his hand under it. Jungkook shrieked, but then he sighed.
“I thought your hand would be cold,” he said and Yoongi chuckled against the back of Jungkook’s shoulder.
“I’ve had it in my pocket. Don’t worry.” Yoongi used his other hand to push the neckline of Jungkook’s sweater aside and he kissed the exposed skin. Unlike his hand, Yoongi’s lips were much colder, but Jungkook liked it. He leaned back into Yoongi’s touch with a hum. “Jungkookie?” Yoongi addressed the younger.
“Hmm?”
“Do you want to?” Yoongi asked in a low voice as his hand travelled up Jungkook’s stomach.
“Wh-what?” Jungkook stammered. Yoongi grabbed his hips and turned him to face him. He looked his boyfriend in the eyes, Jungkook looking at him confused, but excited at the same time. While maintaining eye contact, Yoongi dropped down to his knees. Jungkook whimpered quietly and immediately pressed his lips together. Yoongi smirked. He kept his hand on Jungkook’s hips, rubbing his fingers over the waistband of Jungkook’s underwear, which was sticking out of his pants. “W-what are you–“ Jungkook stuttered and Yoongi chuckled.
“You’re so cute, Kook,” he laughed. “Do you want me to?” Yoongi asked again.
“You wanted to– You said you wanted to cook dinner,” Jungkook argued. His eyes were wide, piercing down into Yoongi’s. Yoongi knew his boyfriend too well to know Jungkook was absolutely down with how much he had started shaking in anticipation. Still, he wanted him to say it.
“Yes,” Yoongi nodded, “but I thought we could take advantage of the fact that it’s just you and me here,” he explained. Jungkook’s mouth went slack and he blinked a few times.
“I don’t know where I put the lube,” Jungkook whispered, his cheeks reddening. He was still embarrassed when talking about things like that.
“I do,” Yoongi said. They were staring at each other for a couple more seconds, Yoongi waiting for Jungkook to finally do and say something to indicate Yoongi’s assumption was correct, Jungkook not knowing Yoongi was waiting for him to say yes. “So…” Yoongi said when the pause was too long and too awkward.
“Oh, okay. Yes, fine. Sure,” Jungkook babbled and helped Yoongi slide his own jeans and underwear down.
Yoongi had to laugh at how eager Jungkook actually was. Even after six months of dating, Jungkook was still rarely the one initiating anything physically intimate between them. Yoongi had gotten used to it. Jungkook was great at hugs, kisses and even cuddles, but when it came to sex or anything similar, he was still a bit awkward. Even while talking about it, let alone approaching Yoongi about it.
What he was never bad at was response. Whenever he was down, he was down. Excitement always turned into eagerness very quickly and Jungkook would pull Yoongi closer, keeping him there no matter what. Yoongi loved seeing and knowing Jungkook was so affected, that all he had to do was ask and Jungkook would almost literally fall down to his feet. It was always an ego boost with how vocal Jungkook was during foreplay and sex. Such an ego boost in fact, that he never really wished Jungkook would be more active.
Yoongi kept his mouth open, lips parted, palms pressing into Jungkook’s hips. Jungkook was already moaning even before Yoongi started touching him. He could feel his head had started to spin and there was a pleasant twitch in his cock when he felt Yoongi’s breath, suggesting his head was so close.
“Yoongi,” Jungkook whimpered, gripping his boyfriend’s shoulder to keep himself steady as he knew he might get dizzy and tumble down otherwise.
Yoongi’s eyes kept shifting between Jungkook’s face and his growing cock. On purpose he stayed close without any actual touch, kiss or lick, enjoying the way Jungkook’s body – especially a certain part of his body – was reacting to his proximity. He couldn’t do this for long because Yoongi himself was starting to feel more excited by the second.
In Jungkook's opinion it took long before Yoongi finally put his lips on him. Too long. He never complained though because as soon as Yoongi started kissing and licking his cock, Jungkook was gone. Lost in the wave of pleasure pulsing in his lower abdomen. Yoongi touched Jungkook’s tightening abs, smiling to himself. Jungkook was hot. For how cute his face was, his body was a fucking art. In the last few months Jungkook had gotten even buffer, sometimes going to gym to let out frustration from not seeing Yoongi for too long, resulting in Yoongi suffering as well because it was now so much harder to see Jungkook’s exposed body without doing something about it. Yoongi wouldn’t be able to count how many times they had fucked just because Jungkook had taken his shirt off because he was changing or because his arms were flexed while carrying something.
“You like it?” Yoongi asked when he pulled away for a second to catch his breath. He wrapped his hand around the base of Jungkook’s hard cock, jerking him off slowly while waiting for an answer. Jungkook didn’t say anything, but his loud moan was enough for Yoongi to smirk to himself before swallowing him down again.
“Oh god,” Jungkook whimpered. His mind was all over the place, battling whether he should ask Yoongi for more or ask him to keep going. He whispered a “yes” that could have meant anything. Either way it was a confirmation and Yoongi started bobbing his head faster, not swallowing and letting the drool drip out of the corners of his mouth. He sucked harder, making Jungkook gasp and tilt his head back. Without a second thought, Jungkook’s fingers were threaded into Yoongi’s hair, keeping his head close, gagging him unknowingly. Yoongi was breathing through his nose, not trying to pull away, but still surprised at how tight Jungkook’s grip in his hair was. Jungkook finally realized what he was doing when he looked down and met Yoongi’s watering eyes. He quickly let go of him. “Oh, I’m sorry,” Jungkook apologized.
Yoongi pulled away with a loud gasp, spit connecting his wet lips and Jungkook’s rock hard cock. He licked his lips and smiled proudly, happy that Jungkook did something to make it more pleasurable for himself. That’s what this was about after all. Yoongi wasn’t sucking him off for his own pleasure. While Jungkook’s moans and squirms definitely made him hard and horny almost every time, the main reason he liked giving blow jobs was for the other person to receive pleasure. Yoongi was definitely a giver, without a doubt.
“It’s fine,” Yoongi assured him. “I’m fine.” He was still not as good at deepthroating as he used to be when he was younger, but it wasn’t as bad as when they had started dating.
Before Yoongi returned to sucking Jungkook off, he coated his fingers in the sticky spit. He then reached his hand behind Jungkook and using his other hand to help him, he spread his ass cheeks apart. Jungkook moaned and Yoongi licked the tip of his cock. There was tiny pressure on his rim and Jungkook nodded. Yoongi was not pressing his fingers in yet, not without lube. He did however start to massage the area, getting Jungkook even more relaxed than he was. His body trembled.
“Yoongi, please,” Jungkook moaned desperately. He wanted more.
Yoongi stood up and used his clean hand to caress Jungkook’s cheek. He smiled at him while Jungkook’s eyes remained wide open and lips parted. The room had become much warmer, not only thanks to Jungkook turning the fireplace on. Jungkook’s body was heating up with anticipation and when he touched Yoongi’s body, it wasn’t as cold as he expected.
Jungkook climbed on the bed obediently, taking his shirt off. He watched as Yoongi went through his stuff and found what he was looking for. Then he turned the key just in case, locking them in. As he approached the bed as well, Yoongi undressed quickly, so that he could join Jungkook, who’s eyes were traveling all over Yoongi’s exposed skin.
“You’re shaking so much,” Yoongi laughed. Jungkook didn’t look nervous at all. He knew what he was getting himself into. They’ve done this so many times. Yet for some reason Jungkook suddenly seemed tense. Like Yoongi hadn’t just made him relax. “Wait, are you okay?” Yoongi asked him, his amused smile turning into a worried expression as he furrowed his eyebrows.
“Yeah,” Jungkook whispered.
“No, you’re not,” Yoongi said. “What’s going on?”
Jungkook shrugged. “I’m just worried that it won’t be as great as Malaysia,” he confessed after a while. His voice was low.
“What? The sex?” Yoongi asked, confused. He wanted to point out that they had had sex more times outside of Malaysia than in Malaysia, but Jungkook spoke first.
“No, just– This whole trip. I’m scared it won’t be as great as our first vacation.”
Yoongi started smiling again. “Yes, it will. This is our first vacation together. This time we won’t be so awkward around each other,” Yoongi laughed when he remembered how shy Jungkook used to be around him before Yoongi took the first step. “It will be great because we’re here together,” Yoongi reminded him, earning a small smile from Jungkook. “It’s just the two of us. You and me. Don’t worry about anything else, okay?” Yoongi laid Jungkook down slowly and carefully. “Just you and me,” he said a traced the necklace hanging around Jungkook’s neck. It was a small crescent moon necklace with a moonstone Yoongi had gifted him as a Christmas gift.

[FLASHBACK]
Sunday, December 26
“What is that?” Jungkook asked and furrowed his eyebrows. He was handed a small dark blue box with golden stars on it. Yoongi was smiling but he didn’t say anything.
It was the day after Christmas Day and Jungkook and Yoongi were celebrating together in Jungkook’s Daegu apartment. They had only met on the twenty-sixth as they were both celebrating Christmas with their families the previous day. Jungkook and Jimin both took the earliest train from Busan to Daegu to celebrate Christmas with their loved ones as well.
After more than two months of occasionally using the space, the apartment finally looked like there were people living there. Jungkook and Yoongi both had their personal stuff there, their toothbrushes and even a small cactus in a cute painted pot, which Jungkook had named Soni, short for soninjang, the Korean word for cactus. Jungkook saw it in a shop on his way to Daegu one day and decided it was the perfect ‘pet’ for him and Yoongi, as this type of cactus only had to be watered less than once a week.
Whenever Jungkook was visiting Daegu, which was more often than before buying the apartment, he was staying in the apartment with Yoongi. Even if it was just for the weekend. Yoongi had visited Busan a few times as well, but since Jungkook had more reasons and finances to travel, it was mostly him taking the train.
Jungkook never forced Yoongi to move in with him. He had mentioned the possibility a few times, but only as something they could do in the future, though never specifying what “in the future” actually meant. He had, however, just gifted Yoongi a key to the apartment as one of the Christmas gifts, suggesting that he could use it even if Jungkook was not there.
Yoongi was touched by the gesture. The more days they spent “living together”, the more Yoongi was liking the idea. Jungkook had said before that if Yoongi ever wanted him to, he would pack his things and move to Daegu in a heartbeat, just like Jimin did a few months ago. Jungkook’s family and friends in Busan knew about this and while Jungkook’s mother always cried at the thought of her son not living just a few bus stops away from her, she never told him not to.
It was Yoongi who was opposed to the idea because he thought Jungkook was giving up too much for him. He felt like he was forcing Jungkook to do something, not knowing Jungkook had long decided to do so. Probably ever since they met after almost a month of being apart. After that Jungkook had promised himself he would do everything in his power to prevent this from happening ever again. He helped his parents finish opening the new branch in Daegu. He finalized everything, but that was it for him. Somewhere along the way he realized just how important Yoongi was to him.
Jungkook looked up at Yoongi, furrowing his eyebrows.
“It’s not a ring,” Yoongi laughed and Jungkook seemed to relax. “Open it.”
Jungkook’s eyes shifted back to the pretty package in his hand. He knew it had to be some kind of jewellery, but he had no idea what it could be. What was his surprise when he opened it and found a small pendant in the shape of a moon crescent. Jungkook’s jaw dropped. He took the pendant out. It was on a thin silver necklace. It looked very minimalistic and elegant.
“It’s uh– It’s a moonstone,” Yoongi said, suddenly slightly embarrassed by his choice. “I don’t really believe in this sort of stuff, but I thought it looked better with it,” he explained the reasoning behind choosing a pendant with a stone rather than plain silver.
“A moon?” Jungkook questioned and his big eyes pierced into Yoongi, whose cheeks had turned a slight shade of pink.
Yoongi pressed his lips together, reluctant to speak at first.
“Why?” Jungkook asked.
“Because when we were in Malaysia,” Yoongi started explaining in a low voice, “and I was still hesitant whether we should give this a go…” he paused and Jungkook smiled. Now, Jungkook was finally thinking back to those memories fondly as he knew the story had a happy ending for him and Yoongi. “Back then I said I couldn’t promise you the moon. Now, I’m giving you the moon.”
Jungkook’s eyes watered in mere seconds and he pressed his palm against his mouth. It didn’t take long for the first tears to start sliding down his cheeks, hot and salty.
“Oh, no. You’re crying,” Yoongi said in a worried voice. He lifted Jungkook’s chin up. “Kookie.”
“Those are happy tears,” Jungkook sobbed loudly. Yoongi chuckled, relieved that he didn’t make Jungkook angry with his gift.
Yoongi pulled Jungkook into a hug and Jungkook buried his face into the crook of Yoongi’s neck, wetting his shirt with his tears, not able to stop crying. Yoongi was holding him tightly, letting him relax into his arms.
“Stop crying, Kookie. You’re gonna make me cry,” Yoongi whispered into his hair.
“I’m sorry,” Jungkook said and pulled away, his eyes red and puffy. He sniffled and wiped his nose. Yoongi brushed his cheeks softly with his thumbs, getting rid of any leftover tears. “It’s so beautiful, Yoongi. Thank you,” he mumbled. Jungkook’s voice was still hoarse.
“Why are you still crying?” Yoongi asked him with laughter in his voice. He was much happier knowing Jungkook liked his gift. But there were tears streaming down Jungkook’s face and Yoongi was starting to worry again, that maybe something was wrong. Maybe he had triggered some memory without even knowing.
“It’s just–“ Jungkook sighed. “It’s the most beautiful thing anyone’s ever done for me,” he sobbed louder, hiccupping.
“Ah, baby,” Yoongi pulled him back onto his chest.
After they pulled away, Yoongi told Jungkook to turn around and he took the necklace into his hands. He smiled at it. It really looked like something Jungkook would wear. It was exactly his style of jewellery. Yoongi was proud of himself. He put the necklace around Jungkook’s neck and kissed his cheek lovingly.
“Thank you,” Jungkook said and looked down at the pendant hanging from his neck. “I love it. Love you.” He looked up to see Yoongi already beaming at him.
“I love you too.”

Saturday, January 22
Jungkook followed Yoongi’s gaze to his chest and then looked up again. Reaching behind Yoongi’s neck, he brought him down and kissed him.
When Yoongi finally pushed inside of Jungkook, he kept a slow rhythm. His thrusts were deep and incredibly intense. Jungkook was out of his breath almost immediately, gasping for air between moans and whimpers, his fingers digging into the flesh of Yoongi’s shoulders and his toes curling. Yoongi himself was lost in the sensual motion, panting heavily.
Jungkook closed his eyes and let his head tilt back, lips parted to allow deep moans to escape. Yoongi latched onto his neck, kissing right under his jawline and licking the beads of sweat that had formed there. Soon enough Jungkook was squirming, shifting his body in order for Yoongi to thrust even deeper. Yoongi tightened the grip around one of Jungkook’s thighs and thrusted in harder. He pushed past Jungkook’s prostate, fucking him well enough for Jungkook to cry out and for Yoongi’s stomach to tighten.
Yoongi pushed himself up more, taking Jungkook’s other thigh into his hand as well. He felt Jungkook’s muscles tighten and harden as he pressed the thighs against Jungkook’s stomach, folding him and getting better access to fuck right into his prostate. Jungkook’s moans turned into those beautiful whimpers and Yoongi chuckled.
“You have no idea how much I love you,” Yoongi whispered as if somebody else could hear his confession as well.
“I–“ Jungkook gasped. He wanted to say he did have an idea because he loved him too, but with the way Yoongi never stopped fucking him and making him feel so good, he wasn’t able to form a proper sentence. Yoongi never failed to make Jungkook feel like he was the centre of Yoongi’s universe.
Both Yoongi and Jungkook were so caught up in each other that they didn’t hear Jimin and Taehyung come back. Taehyung was laughing, giggling to himself as he poked Jimin’s cheek. Jimin turned to him, his face absolutely blank. He was once again wet from head to toe and he was holding his hat in his hands.
“You look like you just took a shower,” Taehyung giggled and Jimin wrapped his hands around him.
“You’re a menace, Kim Taehyung,” Jimin said, the corner of his lips twitching.
“You’re just mad cause I won,” Taehyung raised his head up triumphantly.
Jimin gasped. “You jumped on me and sat on me, holding my hands so that I couldn’t move,” he exclaimed with his face turned into a grimace, not believing Taehyung truly thought he had won. “You were cheating.”
“It’s not cheating. I didn’t do anything I haven’t done to you before,” Taehyung raised an eyebrow.
Jimin opened his mouth and closed it again. It hadn’t been that long since Taehyung was sitting on top of him, Jimin’s hands pinned in place above his head. Only they were wearing much less clothes back then and weren’t rolling around in snow. “Okay, fair point,” Jimin sighed in the end. Taehyung grinned at him.
“Let’s go change. I don’t want you to catch a cold,” Taehyung said and dragged Jimin toward their room. As they walked closer, they could hear sounds coming from Jungkook’s and Yoongi’s room. Taehyung stopped in his tracks and turned his head to Jimin.
“Is that what I think it is?” Jimin asked and Taehyung’s eyes widened.
“They’re fucking,” Taehyung mouthed and let go of Jimin’s hand. He quickly approached the door and banged on it three times.
Yoongi jumped in surprise, thrusting in Jungkook harder and deeper than he wanted, making Jungkook scream out in pleasure.
“Are you fucking?” they heard Taehyung’s voice over the door.
Yoongi stopped moving and Jungkook even stopped breathing. There was silence for a few seconds. Then Jungkook breathed out, letting out the quiet moan he had been holding in. Yoongi placed his palm over Jungkook’s mouth, silencing him. He was staring at his boyfriend trapped underneath him, not knowing what to do or say.
“Oh, you didn’t have to stop just because of us,” Taehyung laughed.
Yoongi licked his lips and turned his head to face the door. “Get out,” he yelled.
“So you are still fucking?” Taehyung said overly excitedly.
“I said get out,” Yoongi yelled again and Taehyung laughed.
“Come on,” Jimin pulled him away from the door, pushing into his back and leading him into their room.
Taehyung didn’t know whether Jungkook and Yoongi had stopped or just tried really, really hard to stay quiet, but he could no longer hear them, despite their rooms sharing a wall. Taehyung changed into clean and dry clothes, putting on his warm sweatpants, a hoodie and warm fluffy socks, which made it harder for him to fit his feet into his slippers. Jimin changed as well, rubbing his hair with a towel. Taehyung then took all of their wet clothes to take it into the drying room located right next to the small ski room where they had put their ski and snowboards earlier while unpacking.
“We’ll be in the living room if you need us. Don’t worry about us coming here. You can be as loud as you want,” Taehyung yelled as he was walking past the other bedroom. Jimin chuckled.
“Taehyung, I will fucking strangle you. Leave, for fuck’s sake,” Yoongi groaned, annoyed.
Taehyung shook his head and followed Jimin to the drying room. “He’s getting kinkier,” he commented.
“I don’t think he meant it in a sexual way. I think he would actually strangle you if you burst into the room,” Jimin said and took half of the clothes from Taehyung.
The drying room was a small heated room with some drying racks. In fact, it was so small it was hard for both of them to move around as they spread the clothes. Jimin turned the heating on and they left.
Before Jimin could do or say anything, Taehyung took one of the blankets he found on the arm rest of the sofa and spread it. Jimin wanted to ask him what he was doing, but then Taehyung wrapped his hands around Jimin and turned him into a human burrito with just a few wraps. He then sat him down on the sofa and sat down next to him, proud of his work.
“I really don’t want you to catch something,” Taehyung explained when Jimin gave him a questioning look.
“That’s really sweet,” Jimin said and smiled. Soon his smile faded from his face and he looked into the distance, mind noticeably drifting around.
“What are you thinking about?” Taehyung asked him. He was carefully examining Jimin’s face. Jimin looked at him and bit the inside of his cheek. Taehyung raised an eyebrow.
“Are we okay, Tae?” Jimin asked quietly, the topic making him very vulnerable.
“Of course, we are,” Taehyung chuckled nervously. “Of course, we’re okay. What are you talking about?” he slightly shook his head.
Jimin blinked a few times. “You know what I mean,” he said and Taehyung stopped smiling. Yes, he knew. “I’m scared this is just temporary and I don’t want to lose you again.” Jimin gripped the blanket tightly, loving how protected he felt wrapped in it.
“Jimin, come on. We’re okay. Everything’s fine. I promise.”
Jimin gulped before he spoke again, afraid that he might open up wounds that had barely healed. “But we weren’t. We thought we were okay, but we were so far from it.” Jimin paused and looked Taehyung in the eyes. “We broke up, Tae. You broke up with me,” he said, tears forming in the corners of his eyes, his voice getting husky.
Taehyung felt an invisible force tugging at his insides, pulling harshly and twisting them. He felt sick to his stomach just thinking about it. “I don’t wanna talk about it,” he said brokenly.
“Just tell me we’re okay and this is not just a dumb attempt at fixing something that can’t be fixed,” Jimin pleaded with him.
Taehyung couldn’t take it anymore. He wanted this week to be filled with fun and cute moments. Getting his heart broken by Jimin was not on his to do list. But he did break Jimin’s heart two months ago. Knowing he had hurt Jimin so much by ending things and running out of their home, crashing at Yoongi’s for ten days… It hurt him too. Just ten fucking days without Jimin and Taehyung already felt incomplete. There was a part of him missing. Crying never made it better. Eating his sorrow away and calling sick to work didn’t make his world any brighter. He only had Yoongi and Jungkook to thank for everything that followed. Yoongi especially. It was him who basically dragged him back and made him talk to Jimin.
And with Jimin the world finally felt like a much happier place.
“We’re not broken,” Taehyung said firmly. He truly believed it. “Therefore there is nothing that needs fixing,” he continued. “We’ve already talked about this. I know I shouldn’t have said what I said and I’m deeply sorry. I overreacted so much and I still don’t really know why.”
“It wasn’t just your fault. I should’ve known,” Jimin interrupted him suddenly.
“No,” Taehyung shook his head, “there was no way for you to know what was going on in my head. It wasn’t your fault Jimin. I’m so, so, so sorry.” Taehyung sighed and closed his eyes shut to prevent tears from sliding down his cheeks.
Jimin was still hurt. He was still doubting whether Taehyung was happy with him, afraid that Taehyung might make a similar scene like he did back in November. What was worst was that for Jimin it came out of nowhere. Up until Taehyung had opened his mouth, Jimin had had no idea that something like this had been bothering him so much and to the point he would actually want to end their relationship. Jimin believed that it was obvious and he should have seen it coming. But he didn’t. His heart was no longer broken, but the doubtful seed had been planted the moment the door closed shut behind Taehyung and he was left with his own thoughts and tears.
“Do you think that us moving in together so soon was a bad idea?” Jimin asked him.
“No,” Taehyung shook his head without hesitation. “Actually, I think it had made us closer. Seeing you every morning with your bed hair and gross breath has made me love you even more,” he said with a loving expression and Jimin’s lips curved into a smile.
“I love living with you,” Jimin said, feeling his cheeks redden with blush.
Taehyung touched the blanket gently and started unwrapping it. Jimin didn’t say anything and watched closely how Taehyung opened the blanket, slipped under it and threw his leg over Jimin’s lap. Jimin immediately caught on and helped Taehyung get comfortable in his lap. Taehyung was straddling Jimin, hands around Jimin’s waist and head laid on Jimin’s chest. Taehyung was squeezing him a lot, pressing himself into the comfort of Jimin’s clothes. Jimin wrapped the blanket around them carefully and hugged his boyfriend tight as well, one hand on his lower back, the other in his hair.
Yoongi and Jungkook found them like this a while later. Neither of them had moved despite the layers of clothes and heat of the cottage making the hug very sweaty. Yoongi announced their presence with a cough while Jungkook was hiding behind him, his cheeks and especially ears red from embarrassment that they had been caught.
“Are you guys okay?” Yoongi asked worryingly when neither Jimin nor Taehyung seemed to acknowledge their presence.
Taehyung turned his head to Yoongi and nodded while not loosening the grip around Jimin. Jimin nodded as well and offered Yoongi a smile.
“Okay. I’ll go cook us something for dinner,” Yoongi informed them.
Taehyung and Jimin kept cuddling on the sofa, Jimin even falling asleep at some point. Yoongi was stirring ramen in the pot when Jungkook hugged him from behind, making Yoongi smile.
“You’re not getting special privileges just because we’re dating, Kook,” Yoongi laughed when Jungkook leaned over his shoulder and opened his mouth like a baby bird wanting to be fed. “You have to wait like everybody else.” Jungkook pouted and hummed discontently. Yoongi peered at him from the corner of his eye. He hated when Jungkook was pouting like this, even if it was just over food. Yoongi sighed. “Uh, okay.” Jungkook beamed at him. Yoongi took a smaller piece of meat and blew on it a few times so that Jungkook wouldn’t burn his tongue. Then he brought it to Jungkook’s lips and the younger sucked the meat in, chewing on it and exclaiming happily.
“It’s really good,” Jungkook mumbled with his mouth still full.
“Be so kind and swallow before you speak,” Yoongi admonished, glad that Taehyung was nowhere to be found because otherwise he would definitely say something about swallowing.

After dinner they had all gathered around the coffee table in the living room, playing Uno to decide who would clean the dishes.
“It’s really unfair, you know?” Taehyung complained and whined as he picked up two cards from the pile for the second time because of Jimin. “You don’t love me,” he mumbled and Jimin started laughing.
“Yes, I do. It’s the rules. I play the plus two card, you draw two cards. Easy,” Jimin chuckled at how immaturely Taehyung was behaving.
“Well, you could have just said ‘Taehyung, go do the dishes’. This is bullying.” Taehyung put the cards face down on the table and crossed his arms on his chest.
“You’re just pouting because you suck at the game,” Jungkook pointed out.
“You suck,” Taehyung spat out childishly. Actually, Jungkook only had three cards left in his hand, the least out of all of them. He was winning.
“How’s this, if you lose, I’ll help you with the dishes, hmm?” Jimin suggested.
Jungkook played a card matching the colour. Only two cards left in his hand.
“I just want to remind everyone that I cooked for all of you, so I think I should be exempt from dirty dishes duty,” Yoongi reminded them and put a card on top of the pile – changing the colour by playing a card of the same value.
“Me too. I helped,” Jungkook joined his boyfriend.
“You were just tasting,” Yoongi argued.
“Which is still very important. What if you tried to poison us?” Jungkook shrugged.
“The food was good so I don’t think I’d care if it was poisoned. Everything you cook is good,” Jimin gave Yoongi’s cooking stills a compliment.
“Well thank you, Jimin,” Yoongi smiled appreciatively.
“Switch seats with him,” Taehyung pointed at Jimin and Yoongi.
“Why?” Jimin whined, not sure why he was being pushed away.
“Because if you give me another one of those shitty plus cards, I’ll have to break up with you,” Taehyung said, not really thinking about his words before it was too late. He realized his mistake immediately, but Jimin’s face was already down, sad and hurt. “No, that’s not– I didn’t mean it like that. Stupid joke. I take it back. I’m sorry,” Taehyung apologized and scooted closer to Jimin so that their knees were touching.
Even though they could have, Yoongi and Jungkook didn’t point out that sitting this close could be considered cheating given Jimin and Taehyung could definitely see each other’s cards.
There was time and place for that.

[FLASHBACK]
Wednesday, October 13
Jimin picked up the phone. Taehyung was finally calling him back.
“Yes?” Jimin exclaimed happily into the phone.
“So? Do you have it?” Taehyung’s voice was heard from the phone.
Jimin pressed his lips together, creating a suspenseful pause. “Yes. Yes, I’ve got it in my hand.” Jimin was beaming at the key in his hand. He had just signed the papers twenty minutes ago. Now he was the rightful owner of a two bedroom apartment in downtown Daegu.
“Oh my god, that’s so exciting.” Taehyung’s voice was unusually high pitched. Jimin burst into a giggle. “I’ll get off earlier today so we can celebrate.”
“Will you stay the night?” Jimin asked. “We could have a very private house-warming party. Just the two of us,” he suggested, but was cut off by Taehyung’s chuckle.
“Baby, you don’t even have sheets there yet,” he started laughing and Jimin rolled his eyes. “Let’s just crash over at my place and celebrate your birthday today. We can have a house-warming party later. Yoongi said Jungkookie is coming on Friday so we can force them to help us move.”
“Are you sure they’ll be down? They haven’t seen each other in two weeks. I bet they’ll want to be alone.”
“Hmm, yeah, that sucks for them, I guess. We need to move in soon.”
“We?” Jimin’s eyes widened and he started playing with the key in his free hand. “So you still want to move in move in with me?”
Even though they had talked about it so many times, debating whether it was even a good idea for Jimin to accept the apartment from Seungwon, Jimin still couldn’t believe Taehyung would actually move in with him. For Taehyung the decision wasn’t hard at all. Not even a little bit. After weighing all the pros and cons of Seungwon buying Jimin an apartment, making sure Seungwon didn’t want anything weird in return, and concluding that Jimin would be dumb not to accept, the rest was a piece of cake. Jimin’s new apartment was twice as big as Taehyung’s current one and the view was definitely better as well. With Jimin slowly but steadily moving from Busan to Daegu, it wouldn’t make sense for them to switch between apartments all the time. Despite Yoongi pointing out how fast they were moving, both Jimin and Taehyung were excited.
“Of course, I wanna move in with you. You’re not getting rid of me now,” Taehyung laughed and Jimin soon hung up.

[FLASHBACK]
Saturday, October 16
Yoongi was already in the apartment, walking around with his hands in his pockets. He wasn’t feeling well. Not sick, maybe… jealous? Yes, jealous. He wasn’t jealous of Jimin for not having to pay for an apartment and still getting it, that wasn’t it. Yoongi knew Seungwon had gifted Jimin the apartment for his birthday. At least that was the official story. But Yoongi was jealous of both Jimin and Taehyung, knowing that they could spend every day together from now on, cuddled in their bed, or doing different things. Mostly different things, Yoongi thought.
He should be happy for his friends. They were taking their relationship into a new level – living together. Well, he was happy for them. So happy. But at the same time he had a weird feeling in his stomach when he realized Jungkook will still go back to Busan on Sunday afternoon, while Jimin was staying. Forever.
Jungkook walked into the room and Yoongi averted his eyes away from the beautiful view from the newly build building, overlooking downtown Daegu and the E-World 83 Tower rising in the background. Jungkook understood immediately. He offered his boyfriend a smile and Yoongi returned it, faking it. Jungkook walked over to him and buried his face into the crook of Yoongi’s neck, falling into Yoongi’s open arms. Yoongi kept his hands on Jungkook’s waist to keep him close.
It was the weekend. Jimin had asked them to come and take a look at his new apartment, and also help them move in. The apartment was already furnished, and while Jimin liked the chosen furniture, he didn’t feel like he could call it a home. Not yet. Not without proper decoration and the storage space filled with his and Taehyung’s belongings.
“It looks good, doesn’t it?” Jungkook said and raised his head to look at Yoongi.
“It’s alright,” Yoongi shrugged, trying really hard not to like it. He thought that if he disliked the apartment, maybe he wouldn’t be so jealous.
“I think it’s really nice. Modern, the location is pretty awesome, and I heard the view is even prettier on the higher floors. Plus, it even has its own security and a convenient store only for residents. The underground garage is huge.”
Yoongi furrowed his eyebrows, looking at Jungkook suspiciously. Jungkook bit his lip and his eyes widened.
“Why are you saying this?” Yoongi asked, not sure what Jungkook’s intention was. Jungkook blinked a few times. Yoongi sighed. “Oh no, what did you do?”
Jungkook put his hands up in front of himself defensively. “No, nothing. I promise.”
“Okay. Then what do you want to do?” Yoongi corrected himself. From the way Jungkook’s expression turned even more guilty and suspicious, Yoongi knew he had hit the nail on its head.
“I met the realtor on the way up,” Jungkook started explaining. “She was asking me how I was liking the building and when she found out I was only visiting a friend who had just moved in, she asked me if I was interested.”
“Jungkook–“
“No, let me finish. Please.” Yoongi closed his mouth and Jungkook continued. “She told me that there were a lot of people fighting over the penthouse and since you can only ask for one apartment at a time, there are still a few unclaimed apartments. She even gave me her business card in case I wanted her to give me a tour. They’re deciding who gets the penthouse next week, so we only have a few days to decide.”
Yoongi was staring at him, not knowing what to say. He opened his mouth and closed it again, only letting out a surprised huff. “So…” he said and pressed his lips together.
“Yoongi, I was thinking that maybe it wouldn’t be such a bad idea. Whenever I come here, I pay for a hotel because of your uncle. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t care that you live with your uncle, but wouldn’t it be great if we had our own space? Permanent space?” Jungkook was speaking quietly, his voice unsteady and nervous, but determined at the same time.
The door to the room opened, revealing beaming Taehyung, followed by Jimin. Yoongi put his hand up. “Can you give us a moment, please?” he asked the two newcomers.
“I can’t even get into a room in my own home,” Jimin mumbled, rolled his eyes and closed the door again.
“What are you saying, Kook?” Yoongi said when they were alone again. “Are you asking me to buy an apartment with you? Because you know that I can’t–“
“I’m not asking you to do anything,” Jungkook interrupted him. “I’m telling you that I have an opportunity to buy an apartment here in Daegu, which we could both use when I come here. I’m not asking you to move in with me and I’m not saying I’m necessarily moving from Busan. Unless that’s what you want. I just want your opinion on it as well because I know you wouldn’t be happy if I just bought it and then told you about it.”
Yoongi’s lips twitched and he smiled widely, his features softening. “Thank you, Kookie.” The grip around Jungkook’s waist tightened and Yoongi pulled him into a hug. Yoongi really appreciated that Jungkook came to him first. It wasn’t really up to him to decide for Jungkook whether he should invest in real estate or not. Still, it warmed his heart that Jungkook was so considerate.
“What do you think?” Jungkook asked him, his eyes big and piercing into Yoongi.
“If that’s what you really want and you have the money for it, then…” Yoongi paused and offered him another smile. “I would love it if you had an apartment here. But, only if you agree that this is just your apartment. If I find out you put my name down as well…“ Yoongi put his forefinger up warningly.
Jungkook laughed. “I won’t do that.” Then he nodded. “Okay. Just my apartment but you’re more than welcome to stay there anytime you want.”
“Maybe that way you will spend more time here,” Yoongi suggested.
“Yeah, maybe.” Yoongi leaned into a kiss, which Jungkook returned right away. “I better make the call,” he whispered against Yoongi’s lips and Yoongi finally let go of him.

Sunday, January 23
Yoongi zipped up his sweatshirt and put his jacket on. He didn’t bother zipping that up as well as they were going to drive for a few minutes to get to the ski resort. Yoongi put his winter shoes on. He was tying them up when Jungkook entered the ski room. Yoongi looked up and couldn’t help but laugh.
Jungkook was wearing a bright blue ski suit and ski mittens attached to a loop on his hip. His face was literally glowing as Jungkook had put on sunscreen, forcing Yoongi to do so as well. Jungkook’s eyes were wide and lips slightly pouting when he noticed the way Yoongi was staring at him, amused.
“What?” Jungkook whined and stopped in his tracks in the middle of the ski room.
Yoongi stood up. “You’re so adorable, Kookie,” he cooed and put his palms to his own cheeks. It was absolutely endearing seeing Jungkook like this. He had seen him in casual clothes, in swimsuit, in a formal suit, hell he had even seen him naked so many times he would be able to count every freckle on the younger’s body. But Yoongi thought that this was the most adorable outfit Jungkook had ever worn. Maybe it had something to do with the memories that suddenly flooded his brain, of his older brother and him. They used to wear similar ski suits when they were kids, spending afternoons sliding down the small hill close to their home on plastic bags as they couldn’t afford anything else to slide on.
“Oh,” Jungkook paused, his bottom lip sticking out even more. “Is it bad? I can go change.”
Yoongi stood up and almost tripped over his shoelaces as he approached Jungkook. He slipped his hands inside of the ski suit, taking advantage of the zipper being down. Yoongi pulled Jungkook closer, making their chests bump. Then he leaned him and kissed him. Jungkook closed his eyes and kissed back, humming at the sudden show of affection.
“You don’t have to change anything. I think it’s cute on you,” Yoongi said against Jungkook’s lips when he broke the kiss. “I just wasn’t expecting this.” Yoongi rubbed his nose against Jungkook’s and Jungkook smiled, showing him his teeth. Yoongi quickly connected their lips again, kissing the beaming smile off of Jungkook’s face and making him whimper.
“Should we come back later?” they heard Jimin’s voice and broke apart. Jimin had a smug smile on his face, one eyebrow raised. Jungkook lowered his head and Yoongi let go of him.
“Stop,” Yoongi blushed as he couldn’t help it. He still found it extremely weird when he kissed Jungkook in front of somebody. Not because he was embarrassed or anything like this, but because it was very intimate for him. Something to be shared only between the two of them. He had gotten used to giving Jungkook quick kisses, holding his hand and hugging him in front of Jimin and Taehyung, but making out with audience was strange.
Jimin opened a bag and took out a helmet. Something Yoongi had never owned in his life, which was why Jungkook had offered to let him borrow his older brother’s helmet. The helmet Jimin took out had ears attached to them.
“Nice ears, kitten,” Taehyung, who had just walked in, joked and smacked Jimin’s ass over his ski pants.
“It’s a tiger,” Jimin corrected him and stuck his tongue out at him. “Kook has a kitty,” he tilted his head toward Jungkook, who was holding two helmets in his hand. One was dark grey and pretty simple. The other one was black with several writings on it and just like Jimin said white cat ears.
“Oh my god,” Yoongi exclaimed, excited. He was smiling from ear to ear. Just when he thought Jungkook couldn’t get any cuter.
“We bought them many years ago,” Jungkook explained. “They also had other animals, but I liked the cat the best.”
“This is so cool,” Yoongi eyed the helmet.
“Do you want this one? I can take my brother’s,” Jungkook offered and handed the helmet with cat ears to Yoongi. Yoongi accepted it, but instead of putting it on his own head, he brushed Jungkook’s hair from his face and gently put it on his head. Then he took a step back and put his palm over his lips to keep a chuckle in.
“This is definitely the most adorable thing I’ve ever seen,” Yoongi mumbled and Jungkook’s cheeks turned red.
“Yeah, you look cute, Kook,” Taehyung joined him.
Jungkook whispered a shy “thank you”.
Jimin bumped into Taehyung and raised his eyebrows questioningly.
“You don’t look cute,” Taehyung shook his head. “You look hot.”
“I’ll take that,” Jimin beamed at him.

The drive was short and just a few minutes later they were stopping at a parking lot near the main building of the resort. Jungkook and Taehyung changed into their snowboard boots while Jimin was hissing as he was trying to fit his feet into the uncomfortable ski boots. As Yoongi was the only one not owning neither ski nor a snowboard, he helped Jungkook put his boots on by squatting down and tying the shoelaces tightly.
They left their ski and snowboards in the compartment, which was attached to the roof of Jungkook’s car and walked into the main building. Jimin and Taehyung went to buy them ski passes for the upcoming week (Taehyung had to help Jimin up the stairs because walking in ski boots was absolutely horrendous) and Yoongi followed Jungkook down the stairs into a ski rental shop.
They were greeted by a young man, probably around their age. He seemed to know what he was doing. As soon as Yoongi told him he was looking for ski for beginners, the man walked around the shop for a few seconds and then he came back with a set. He put it right next to Yoongi, comparing the height of the ski to Yoongi’s height.
“I think this is it,” the man mumbled to himself. “What’s your shoe size?” he asked Yoongi.
“Um, 265 mm? I guess,” Yoongi said, not really sure. The second pair of ski boots, that the man brought, fit him perfectly. Yoongi wiggled his toes to make sure there was enough space and then he nodded.
Yoongi rented it all for six days starting today. It was still cheaper than buying skis he would probably never use again. Satisfied with his new equipment, he walked out with a big smile on his face. It had been seven years since he had gone skiing, but Yoongi was excited.
They met Taehyung and Jimin back by the car where they were given their ski passes.
“Which one of you bought it?” Yoongi asked and put the ski pass into an inner pocket of his jacket.
“Me,” Jimin said.
“Okay, I’ll send you the money asap,” Yoongi told him and Jimin assured him that he didn’t have to hurry.
Yoongi and Jimin were quick to put their skis on while Jungkook and Taehyung had to sit down to put one of their feet into the safety binding. Yoongi was leaning against the ski poles and tried getting used to the feeling of having skis on his feet again. It was a foreign feeling he was getting used to rather quickly.
“I’m glad I’m not the only one with ski,” Jimin appeared next to him.
“Yeah, I’ve never learnt how to snowboard so I had no other choice,” Yoongi admitted and leaned into the poles a bit more, letting them dig into his armpits.
“Oh, really?” Jimin asked, genuinely surprised.
“Yes. Do you know how to snowboard?”
“I do. I just prefer skiing a lot more,” Jimin shrugged. “Are you any decent?”
“I think I’m okay,” Yoongi said. He wasn’t overly confident, but he wouldn’t say he was the worst. “I’ve not done it in a while so it might take me a while to remember everything.”
Jimin placed his hand on Yoongi’s back. “If you need help or advice, just let me know. I can go through it with you if you want.”
Yoongi turned his head to Jimin and smiled at him. “Thank you, Jimin. I appreciate it.” Yoongi didn’t think he would need Jimin’s help, but it was nice knowing he had the choice.
They both turned their heads to their boyfriends at the same time.
“Wait, you have your left leg in the front?” Jungkook asked Taehyung when he noticed Taehyung had secured his left leg in the safety binding unlike him.
“Yes.”
“Hmm, how come?”
“I was born left handed. I’m actually ambidextrous, but when it comes to sports, I usually use my left hand or leg. I don’t know why,” Taehyung shrugged.
“That’s interesting.”
Yoongi liked that him and Jimin had actually become friends and that he didn’t see him as his best friend’s boyfriend only. Given how fast Jungkook and Taehyung had become friends, Yoongi was a bit worried that him and Jimin might not have anything to bond over other than Jungkook or Taehyung. But they did. Luckily. Jimin was a great guy, not just for Taehyung, but also in general. He was kind, genuine and so fun to be around. Yoongi really liked Jimin.
Jimin handed the end of his pole to Taehyung and lifted him up. Yoongi copied him and helped Jungkook get up as well. Without saying a word, Jimin let Taehyung grab the poles and dragged him toward the line.
“Do you want me to help you?” Yoongi asked Jungkook.
“Yes, please.” Jungkook reached out his hands covered in the mittens and Yoongi put the ends of his poles in them. As he turned his head away from Jungkook he smiled.
The resort had three lifts and six slopes in total – one for beginners (which also had its own lift), one intermediate and four different advanced slopes. They chose the intermediate one, Jungkook making sure that Yoongi was okay with it. Yoongi assured him that he would be fine.
It took almost ten minutes before they reached the top. Yoongi and Jungkook were sitting on the ends of the lift, so that Yoongi and Jimin could get off easily and not mingle between Taehyung and Jungkook. It was more difficult for them to get off without falling as they had to slide down the small hill at the end of the lift with only one leg attached.
When they lifted the safety railing, Jungkook and Taehyung shifted, so that their bodies were tilted to the side, facing each other. As soon as their snowboards reached the ground, they locked arms and used each other as support to slide down the hill safely. Taehyung exclaimed happily, making Yoongi turn to them. He bumped into Jimin and almost made them both fall.
“The offer still stands, you know?” Jimin said, laughing.
Yoongi rolled his eyes. “Sorry,” he said instead and pushed himself off with the poles so that he wasn’t in the way.
Jungkook and Taehyung were sitting next to each other, laughing and securing the safety binding on both of their feet. Yoongi watched them carefully before the view caught his eyes. The sky was blue, the sun was shining, reflecting from snow and making him squint. Yoongi put on his ski goggles and sighed. He couldn’t wait to spend the upcoming week here in the mountains with the man he loved the most and his two friends. It all seemed almost too perfect. But… What could go wrong, right?
