Sometime Takemichi just forgot that he's in a body of 14 years old boy.
Well, it's "his own" body though. but he still young and not the one's legal age.
When he so stressed because of everything that came to him, sometime he just want to get drunk and forget everything, even just for a short period of time.
But when he went to convenience store and stood in front of beverage fridge, when he saw his own reflection on the glass, he has to dismissed his thought every time.
...
Things that he could sometime find and use to relieve his stress is cigarette.
If not count Kiyomasa's group that always act like jerks, other members in Toman are good boys that never touch things like cigarette or alcohol. (and it's illegel for teenagers anyway.)
That's why he never ask for cigarette from them.

It might sound odd, but the one that he could asked for cigarette is Taiju.
Taiju doesn't smoke though, at least during this time. but in the future that Takemichi once met him, he seem to be the smoker one too. thus, with that image in mind, Takemichi accidentally asked for cigarette from him once.
Dead air occur between them.
After that, Taiju raise his eyebrow and looking at him from head to toe before chuckle, said that he somewhat different from his appearance.
Takemichi could only laugh. In fact, his inside and outside actually different age though. but how could he tell that out loud, so he just tell Taiju to forget about the cigarette.

Suddenly, Taiju gave him one cigarette, said it's the one he took from the (former) Black Dragon member. At first he want to try it himself because he want to know how it feel when smoke, but he could give this one to Takemichi first though.
Takemichi open his eyes wide. he doesn't think that he would really got one. his gaze glue on a cigerette in Taiju's hand. startled to the point of standing still and not moving at all.
Seeing his reaction, Taiju sighed, asked in low voice that he'll take it or not? Takemichi flinched, before nodding his head up and down really quick. took a cigarette from Taiju and hold it in his hand like a pro, made Taiju surprised once again. he really seem like someone that had done it many time, more than a beginner that just be curious and want to try.
Even though it doesn't fit with his baby face at all, but seem like he has been smoked before, huh?
For a lighter, Taiju has it in his shirt's pocket too. so he just lit a cigarette up for Takemichi and looking at him with curious gaze. he want to know what will Takemichi do with a cigarette in his hand.
Takemichi didn't notice that gaze. he just lift a cigarette to his mouth, inhale deeply and slowly exhale the smoke out. his eyes a bit shining with joy.
Actually, he didn't smoke so often though. just sometime when he really stressed, while he worked as a carrier at shipping company. the reason why he know how to smoke is from here, some seniors that kind to him taught him, said that he could use it to release some stress.
But after he quit this job, when he's stressed he usually drink beer instead though. just two or three cans for some dizziness to forget reality.

Smoking until he satisfied, then put out a cigarette. while he lift his head up when he going to throw away a cigarette butt, Takemichi saw Koko and Inupi. Koko's face has a bit shocked expression but has a joyful smile in the same time. While Inupi just look at him with stoic face, but his eyes shining brightly with some emotion that seem like joy. Taiju just has a "I found something interesting" smile on his face.
Takemichi smile drily. he don't know how to explain the situation to them, so he just walk to a trash can and throw away a cigarette butt. nodding his head to greet Koko and Inupi, then turn to talk to Taiju.
"Thanks for a cigarette, Taiju-kun. I'm gonna go now."
Taiju raised his eyebrow.
Well, come easy and go easier, huh?
Even he thought that, he just motioned to Takemichi, like saying just go wherever you want.
But Inupi just grab Takemichi's arm before he's going anywhere.
"Hanagaki... you smoked? since when?"
Takemichi's sweating, how could he answer it out that he smoked since he's 17 years old? he's just 14 right now!
Seeing an awkwardness in his eyes, Inupi decide not to ask any further. It's just... the fact that Takemichi smoking too remind him a bit of Shinichiro.
Suddenly, he remember something. so Inupi just ask it out.
"By the way, It's the first time I've seen you ever smoked. how about before? never see you smoked when you're with Tomans too. seem like they also don't know?"
This question draw Taiju and Koko's attention. just looking at Takemichi's "Good Boy" looks and Tomans' protective attitude toward him, highly seem like that no ones know.
Takemichi let out some dry laugh, before shaking his head.
"Well, they don't know. and I'm not that addict to smoking too, just sometime needs for stressed release. and, they mightbe gangsters but they're also good boys. except the fact about fighting, they never touch something like "these" though."
"So, that the reason you asked for cigarette from me instead? are you saying that I'm a bad boy?"
Taiju suddenly asked. Takemichi startled, he dosen't intend to mean it that way! he's shaking his head so fast, fast enough to make people afriad that his head mightbe fall-off of his shoulder.
"W-What?! No no no no no, of course not! that's... it's just..."
Takemichi's stuttering. he can't say that he saw Taiju smoked in the future, can he?
Seeing Takemichi mightbe crying at any moment, Taiju shrug his shoulder and just let it go. he really doesn't a good boy anyway.
"Ignore it, just how 'bout you though? what are you going to do if you need cigerettes in the future? I just has that one, and it's not mine in the first place. not so plentiful that you can ask for it anytime, you know?"
Listened to Taiju's question, Takemichi shaking his head a bit before casually answer.
"I won't do anything. I'll never smoked in front of Tomans anyway. besides, I'm not that frequent for smoking too. this one just more than enough."
He answered like that and really bit a farewell this time. that's made him didn't see Taiju's considering face and knowing gaze that Inupi and Koko send to each other.

After that, Takemichi was taken over here and there with Tomans until he almost forget about what happen with him and former BD members. everything around him feel like chaotic mess, made him so busy. he even almost forgot about his stress, but still stressed because of chaotic people around him anyway.
But then, a week later, after the "do you have any cigarette, Taiju-kun?" incident. Taiju came to visit him with a cigerette pack that look expensive. he said that he has talked to the other two and got a conclusion that they'll just let Koko buy the premium one for him.
Toman's members have a seem like "I saw a ghost!" expression on thier face. they're all out cried to Taiju, "don't you dare lure Takemitchy to a wrong path!", especially Hakkai that glare to his own brother angrily and Mitsuya that may have stoic face, but his eyebrow's twitching.
Taiju made a bored face, pointed his index finger toward Takemichi and said "for your information, he's the one asking."
Listened to his words, Tomans' expression changed to something like "This is the end of the world" face. all turn thier head toward Takemichi.
The target of all gazes just smile drily and turn his gaze away, did not make an eye contact with anyone.
That reaction, Takemitchy this is for real?!

Cigarette pack already gone. Draken is the one who took it away, said that he'll give it to the sisters (who smoked, of course) at the brotel later.
Taiju clicking his tongue tsk tsk, grumbled.
"it's expensive, you know?"
But he just shrug his shoulder and let them be. his first purpose already complete anyway. (you can guess what's his purpose if you want, but will never get the true answer from him though.)
Taiju just murmur, he doesn't serious at all. but Hakkai who heard his words seem to be more angry, so he just yelling with frustration.
"I don't care how expensive it is! but Takemitchy and smoking is not approve! never! ever!"
Others nodding their head to show their agreement from behind.
For Takemichi's side, he got scolded from Chifuyu and his cheeks redden from Chifuyu pinched too.
Chifuyu frowns.
"What a nonsense you're thinking this time?! Bakamitchy!!"
Takemichi touchs his swelling cheek, answer in a small voice.
"It's just... I just want some stressed relieve..."
Heard his answer, Tomans' expression all darken. all want to know the reason.
"What are your stressed, Takemitchy? why would you have to smoked? we can't help?"
Mitsuya asked with sad face.
For Mikey, he doesn't say anything since Taiju show up. but the more time passed is the more his "AURA" darken.
Others are sending Takemichi "Sad Face Beam", especially Hakkai. if not that he still want to save his face because Taiju's still here, he might be lay on the ground to hug Takemichi's leg right now. but he's still asked in sad voice. (and puppy's dog eyes.)
" Takemitchy.. you don't trust us?"
Seeing Hakkai's over-acting skill, Chifuyu really appreciate it.
...Well, just let's others talk (or actually, cry out) to Takemichi for now. Chifuyu thinks he'll talk to the "26 years old man in middle-school boy's body" later. normally, he doesn't act like a 26 years old at all. why his method to relieve his stressed is actually something like this? Chifuyu thinks he really need to talk to his idiot partner!
Takemichi who is the center of "Sad Face Beam" right now. he can't say anything. so, he just turn his gaze away and laughing drily.
How could he say it out that the reason of his stressed is actually from the mess that you guys would create and turn out to be chaos in the future!

From that incident, Tomans are take turn to keep an eye on Takemichi for weeks. before he could coax them that he will never ever smoking again.
Of course, he got scolded from Chifuyu. Chifuyu really mad at Takemichi, asked that is he want to make a 14 years old body has a bad health before time?! even though Chifuyu once asked that is Takemichi really a 26 years old, doesn't mean that he want something like this to be a prove!
Takemichi has to said sorry to Chifuyu for a while, before Chifuyu forgive him.
sob, I will never done something that not match a middle-school age ever again.
Takemichi thinks to himself. just once that he forgot this truth made people around so chaotic. Mikey is actually buy one more Taiyaki to specially give it to him, said that for him to never ever take that "cancer-stick" into his mouth again.
Takemichi promise to himself. he really will never do anything that not match a middle-school age ever again!
Just this one time is such a chaotic mess!
