Summary:

When Sesshomaru kills a female kitsune's mate in cold blood, he is cursed by the vengeful demoness to be physically and spiritually bound to a mute peasant girl. However, their silent bond soon forms its own intimate language, fostering a dark relationship marked by desire and a harrowing obsession.

Chapter 1: Prologue

Summary:

What if Sesshomaru experienced exactly ZERO character development after he lost his arm? Oh, yes. We're going that far back. He only has one arm in this.

Chapter Text

How dog demons came into existence is difficult to determine. Tradition describes them as openly malevolent, whereas myth embodies them as servants of human passion.

It's generally believed they came to be through some cruel betrayal, with the most recited tale involving a woman who was so consumed with hatred of her rival, buried her faithful dog so that only its head stuck out of the ground. The exposed head was then encircled with meat, and as the poor wretch suffered to starve to death surrounded by food it couldn't reach, so bitterly grew its resentment for its mistress that before dying its saliva turned toxic.

And when the ritual was complete and the dog's spirit had finally materialized, it was not in the form of a curse that sought to destroy the woman's most despised enemy, but instead an intelligent being of flesh and blood who promptly turned on its mistress and swallowed her whole.

Or so the lore went.

Notes:

If this story seems a little familiar that's because I wrote the version that has since been deleted from the internet. A few years ago I believe. I think I can better write it now. (Never, ever delete your drafts if you can help it).

Anyway, this story has more demon lore in it than I usually play with. It's not 100% faithful, but I do take inspiration from various myths.
