Work Text:
You ran a small business making candles. You got so caught up in the many orders you made that you forgot you were running low on tags and tins. In you head for some reason you lived in like a candle warehouse and had access to everything.
However, in reality, you lived with your boyfriend Sam and his brother Dean in their bunker. With candles you didn’t want to clutter the bunker, so you made them to order, with some of your more popular ones already made.
Your friend’s order was already pre-made thankfully, so you boxed that up. Another order was ready for pick up as well. It was the last order in the smaller tins that you were worried about. You had everything laid out in the kitchen and you opened the site where you ordered your labels and typed in the password.
Of course, you forgot it, you quickly made a new one, ordered double of the blank stickers and looked at he date of the arrival. You sighed; this was not doable, so you had no other choice but to pay for the express. You ordered your tins no problem and closed the laptop.
Dean walked in and smiled. He was proud of the little business you started. You helped them with research, but you really loved what you did. He noticed when he heard a sharp inhale that you were trying to breathe deep, but it was coming from your chest.
“I’m going to grab some pizza, pepperoni, okay?” he asked
“Uh-yeah. Sounds great” you said not really looking at him but giving a quick glance over and a forced smile.
“Proud of you” he said and you looked up and smiled a bit more.
“Oh you” you playfully joked, hoping that he wasn’t seeing your anxiety.
Dean gave a short smile and made his way to Sam. He walked into the library and Sam looked up and saw Dean’s concern.
“I think you need to check in on your girl.” The older Winchester said. Sam nodded and stood up “Kitchen” Dean added, and Sam went to you.
When Sam walked in he watched you for a few seconds. You didn’t look up when he came in, you were busy making labels with what you had left and prepping the six tins you had. He watched as you tried to breathe. He narrowed his eyes, taking you in. You looked calm, but were repeating what you had, what was ordered and everything that needed to be done.
You always did this when you were reassuring yourself and trying not to have a panic attack. You almost felt as if your brain was going to short circuit, but you pressed on. Sam finally saw the opportunity to say something without startling you.
“Hey, baby” he said and you looked over at him
“Oh. Hey” you gave a half smile “So, I have to orders ready for pick up and I had another order this evening. I realized I was running out of things which suck, because it’s the holiday season so I should have been more peppered. I ordered the stuff though and it should be here by Friday, which is great. So I’m just going to get what I can done now” you gave a small smile and a heavy breath.
“That’s great. You’ve got so much accomplished. You should be really proud of yourself. I’m proud of you.” Sam said coming over to you. He noticed that you took a step away from him.
“Yeah. I’m so excited. I hope everyone likes the candles”
“I’m sure they will. I’ve caught Dean smelling a few of them” that made you genuinely laugh
“He’s a softy” you joked.
“Uh huh, that’s how I’d describe him.” Sam laughed. “Baby girl.” Sam spoke softly and you looked up at him, leaning towards him. He reached up and cupped your cheek. You closed your eyes, and started to cry. “Come here” he whispered, lifting you up. “You deserve a rest tonight. You’ve been up since 5:30 in the morning working non-stop. You’re exhausted, aren’t you?” you nuzzled against his neck, nodding.
Sam held you tight, rubbing a hand on your back. He carried you to your shared room and grabbed your pajama shorts and his long sleeve shirt you liked so much. He kissed your temple a few times and you clung to him when he tried to put you down.
“It’s okay. It’s okay. I’m just going to get you in comfy clothes. Out of those jeans. Yeah?” you looked up at him tear stained face and his heart broke. You nodded and he kissed your forehead.
Sam placed your down and you got out of your jeans and into your sleep shorts. He helped you our of your shirt and bra and into his shirt. He chuckled a bit when you flopped the sleeves around, they were long. He grabbed a Kleenex and wiped your nose and then grabbed another one and wiped your tears.
“Alright” you both heard and Sam took your hand and you walked out to see Dean. “We’ve got pizza and” Dean stopped when he looked at you. He looked at Sam who gave a small nodded. Dean smiled softly. “Pizza and someone who needs snuggles?” he asked and you nodded. Feeling tired from all the crying. “Alright" he smiled, taking off his coat.
“How about some chamomile tea?” Sam asked you and you nodded
Sam went to get plates and your tea and beer for them. Dean Sat down and you stood there, not sure what to do. You sort of slipped into little space, which wasn’t really something you did often, more when you got overwhelmed. It was rare that you would do it in front of Dean, but when it happened, he turned into a giant teddy bear.
“Come on, sweetheart” he soothed, and you smiled walking over and sitting on his lap. He held you close and combed his fingers through your hair. “Overwhelmed?” he whispered, and you nodded “Yeah. Well, we’ll snuggle and have some pizza and then Sammy will get you all comfy in bed and take care of you.” You nodded looking up at him. He kissed your forehead. “I get to take care of you now.” He proudly bragged and you blushed, looking down.
After your pizza and tea you said goodnight to Dean and you and Sam got ready for bed. He got in his pajamas, and you were under the covers already. He got under the covers and wrapped his arms around you.
“Ooo” you said happily when you finally heard the music.
“Yeah, you like it baby?” he asked and you nodded “It’s A bakery shop in the Victorian era Christmas Jazz Music and Carriage sounds.”
You snuggled closer to him, finally relaxing and closed your eyes. A minute later you were asleep. Sam had a hard time staying away, boy, that music was really soothing. He watched you sleep for a couple of minutes, seeing you finally at peace, before he drifted off
