Great, this is great? maybe - I got a job at the pizzaplex, nightshift by the way, the job description said night time janitorial services, so this should be fine right?. I brush the lint off my new uniform before I make my way to the front door. Grabbing my coat from the chair and other necessities, I fiddle my way out the door and to the local bus stop. Route 18 gets me about a block away from the pizzaplex but I have to go through the janitor’s entrance which on the opposite side of the building- fucking great..
Stepping off the bus i begin my walk to the back entrance. I hear slightly quiet steps behind me but I don’t bother to look. Feeling a tap on my shoulder I turn around and am faced with someone in a similar uniform “Hello there, I noticed the uniform and wanted to ask if you are new here?” an androgynous voice spoke. “Oh uh well yes, this will be my first day” I gruffed out, breaking eye contact and looking back at the ground. “Okay well my boss said I was showing someone new the in’s and outs of the place, so if that’s you I will happily show you.” I take another look at them, noticing the faded pink in their hair, and a name tag that reads ‘Raiyne’. I face them again, “Oh well uh, my name is Y/N, if that rings any bells” Raiyne’s eye slight widen, “Yeah! It does” Their hand outstretched, “Well hello my new janitor buddy.” A smile forming on the new face. I grasp their hand for a shake but instead pulled down into a hug. “oH- well I didn’t expect that.” I say, slightly backing up again. “Okay okay, sorry I do that a lot but you seem like you are gonna be a good friend.” That was a nice hug but we might be running out of time before our shift starts, “Hey so wait,” Looking at my phone it reads 9:47 pm, “Uh we only have about fifteen minutes before we have to actually work so I think we should make our way inside,” I say getting slightly nervous. Yet Raiyne dosen’t seem worried in the slightest, “Yup i know, you’ll be shadowing me for a few hours during your shift so i’ll tell you everything you need to know then, but for now let’s get inside.” They start walking and I stumble behind to keep up with their pace, for a smaller person they do move pretty quickly. They unlock the janitors door with a key from their lanyard and inside they go.
“Okay, so to start off here,” Their palm out and in it a name tag that says Janitorial Staff - Y/N . I take it and pin it on my button up. Rustling is heard from a turned around Mori and they hand me a staff lanyard. “So you’ll need that lanyard for keys and staff ID for specific areas, i forgot to get the ID and keys so you’ll hang with me but i’ll have them to you by tomorrow,” Placing my lanyard on “Oh Fuck, here again,” Although startled, i take what is handed to me, “Okay so that is a Staff watch used for communicating because we can’t have our phones out, according to our boss- so those will be for if you are assigned something to do or some of our other janitors need help.” Running out of breath Raiyne motions to the door, “So shall we start our shift?” Looking down at the uniform and the new items, I motion a yes and with that we are off. My Pace is getting better to match theirs but still too slow. “I should also mention our other janitors have the same exact uniform, so grey button up with white stripes, like ours, so if any help is needed and you see it, go ask them.” They finished with a smirk and a thumbs up. “So what specifically are we doing? like today or just what we do all the time?” I ask. “oh yeah since you had put that you had a job with machines before you got put with me- so we are kind of janitors for the animatronics” Wait.. WHAT ARE KIDDING ME, I was really hoping for a kind of easier job but I guess, if i make more money this way then I guess that works too. “..and freddy is great, you’ll get to meet them all, freddy is just my favorite” i nodded, Raiyne reaching for the staff ID and put it in front of a scanner and whoosh, there unlocks a door and we go in. “Here is the backroom behind the animatronics room, it’s all connected and it’s great for getting there quickly.” Raiyne also pointed to a small area with a few bean bags and a table with chairs, “So right there is pretty much our break room, no one will bother us because this is only for us, and you can leave your items here like your phone and jacket cause i see you have not taken it off yet,” I remove my coat quickly and set it down,along with my phone, I look over at them again and they are fiddling with their watch “and done, I have clocked the both of us in for today, I’ll show you how to do that tomorrow so don’t worry about that right now, anyway we are gonna go meet everyone, first we are gonna start with chica,” Well I mean that should be easy enough, hopefully..
