Chloe was sitting at the table in the restaurant waiting for Lucifer to show up. She was starting to think that he wouldn’t arrive. But then as she was about to text Lucifer saying that she’d go home, Lucifer then walked through the door and sat down. “I’m sorry i’m late, detective.”
“What took you so long?” Chloe asked.
“I am truly sorry. I originally wasn’t going to come.”
“Why not?” Chloe asked.
“I was nervous. You see, i’ve never been on a proper date before. It was always just sex, never going out to dinner like this. And if there was eating, it was just something that was ordered.”
“Really? You’ve never been on a proper date before?” Lucifer shook his head.
“No detective. I haven’t.” Chloe smiled slightly.
“Well, i’m glad you overcame your nervousness, Lucifer.” Lucifer smiled.
“Thank you, detective.” Chloe smiled.
After eating, drinking and talking, they left the restaurant. “Thank you, Lucifer. I enjoyed that,” Chloe said.
“You’re welcome detective. Will you allow me to drive you home?”
“I’d like that.” Lucifer then drove Chloe home. Chloe opened her front door and walked inside whilst Lucifer stayed standing in the doorway.
“That was a fun night, detective. I really enjoyed my first proper date.” Chloe smiled and nodded. “But I suppose I should be going. See you tomorrow?”
“You don’t have to leave yet. Do you want to come in?”
“Since you’re offering, I might as well.” Lucifer then walked in and Chloe shut the door.
“I still can’t believe that that was your first PROPER date.”
“Me neither. Like I said, I really enjoyed that.” Chloe nodded.
“Me too.”
“You know, when I first met you, I said to Maze that you were fascinating.”
“Fascinating? Really?”
“Yes. I’ve never met anyone like you before. There’s something different about you. Good different, but different nonetheless.”
“Perhaps it’s because your mojo thing doesn’t work on me.”
“I think that’s part of it, but not the full reason.”
“Well despite all of your unusual behaviour Lucifer, I do see a good person.”
“Thanks detective. I don’t recall the last time someone said that, if ever. But to be honest, I think that you’re selfless to a nauseating degree.”
“What do you mean?”
“You always put your child first, even though she does nothing to contribute to the rent…” Chloe smiled and laughed slightly. “So you deserve someone worthy of that grace. Someone who knows that every crime scene breaks your heart, even though you’d never admit it. Someone who appreciates your impossibly boring middle name: Jane. More importantly, detective. You deserve someone as good as you because you’re special. And… I just feel like that isn’t me. It was one of the other reasons I thought about not showing up.” Chloe thought for a moment.
“Maybe you’re right, Lucifer. But…” Chloe then walked towards Lucifer and kissed him.
“Detective…” Chloe then kissed him again.
“You may think that you’re not worth it, but that’s not what I see.”
“Are you sure? Is this what you want?”
“You mean ‘is this what I desire?’” Chloe asked, jokingly. Lucifer smiled.
“I suppose.”
“Yes. I want this,” Chloe said, pulling Lucifer towards her and they kissed again. They both smiled. They went back to kissing, Chloe put her arms around Lucifer and he held her. She wrapped her legs around him and they continued kissing whilst moving their hands up and down each other’s bodies. She was then up against her door and Lucifer was kissing her neck. Chloe moaned at the feeling. They began to remove each other’s clothes and they had sex.
The morning after, Chloe woke up really happy. She had never sex that amazing before. And she would never forget it. Not the sex by the front door… or on the sofa… or on the kitchen counter… or on the stairs… or finally, on the bed. “Wow…!” Chloe said, happily. Lucifer woke up afterwards.
“Good morning, detective,” Lucifer said. Chloe turned to face Lucifer.
“Good morning,” Chloe said, happily.
“I notice that you can’t stop smiling…”
“How could I not stop smiling? That was amazing.”
“Yes it was. Would you like something to eat?”
“I would love to, but would you like to go in the shower for round 2 first?” Chloe asked, seductively.
“Technically detective, it would be round 6.” Chloe smiled.
“Come on.”
They headed into the shower and had sex again. After they’d finished they went back to Chloe’s bedroom.
“So what would you like for breakfast?” Lucifer asked.
“Surprise me,” Chloe answered. After they had breakfast. Lucifer prepared to leave.
“Thanks for that, detective. I really enjoyed our date last night.”
“You’re welcome Lucifer. I enjoyed it too.” They both smiled thinking about how much they enjoyed the sex too.
“I think I best be going, you know… leave before your offspring shows up.” Chloe nodded.
“Very well, see you soon?”
“Absolutely. If there’s a murder i’ll be there to help you solve it.” Lucifer turned around and began to walk towards the door. Chloe followed him.
“Wait,” Chloe said quickly.
“Yes, detective?”
“Goodbye kiss?” Lucifer gave Chloe a goodbye kiss and then left. Chloe closed the door and then turned around, leaned back against the door and smiled.
About an hour or so later, Lucifer was talking to Linda. “So you actually went?” Linda asked.
“Yes. I did. I enjoyed it. My first proper date in… ever, actually.” Linda nodded.
“Did she enjoy it?”
“Yes she did.”
“Good. Are you going to tell her the truth?” Lucifer thought for a moment.
“You mean show her?” Linda nodded.
“One day. Things last night were good between us, I don’t want to mess that up by dropping this huge bomb on her.” Linda nodded.
“That makes perfect sense.”
At the same time, Chloe was talking to Ella. “Morning Chloe. Oh, someone looks happy. Did you have fun last night?” Chloe nodded.
“I did. Lucifer actually arrived at the restaurant. We talked, ate, drank and then he took me home.”
“That’s nice,” Ella said as she turned around to put something away.”
“Yeah…” Chloe said.
“What’s bothering you?” Ella asked.
“Well, we had sex as well.” Ella then looked surprised and happy at the same time.
“Really?”
“Yes.”
“So what’s bothering you?”
“It just feels like both of us wanted to ask the question ‘so what are we now?’ But neither of us really wanted to ask it.”
“What are you two now?” Chloe thought for a moment.
“That’s just it. I don’t know.”
“Well, you only have 3 choices. 1. Tell him that last night was fun, but you just want to be friends. 2. You continue having sex, but you don’t advance it beyond that or 3. You actually be in a proper relationship and see where it goes.” Chloe thought for a moment.
“I’m not choosing option 2. If I continue having sex with him… I want it to be with us being in a proper relationship.”
“Well then. Option 1 or 3?” Chloe continued thinking. As she was doing so, Lucifer was walking down the stairs and then walked towards Ella’s lab to speak to Chloe.
