The First of Many

Summary:

The Warrior of Light is unsure that she can keep seeing Emet Selch behind her friends backs. But a kiss is enough to stifle the worry, for now.

Notes:

Hey, another short oneshot for Vee and Emet. I hope you all enjoy. Sorry for any errors, I tried to proofread as best as possible.

Work Text:

"I don't think I can do this." Vee started, staring at the water beneath her as she overlooked all of Il Mheg from the cliffside. She had begun to curl in on herself, wrapping both arms around her middle as her knees came up to her chest. The Ascian beside her raised a brow, letting out a confused hum as his gloved fingers came to rest against the small of her back.

"Do what, my dearest hero?" Came the smooth and sultry tones of the ancient known as Emet Selch. His golden hues raking over her as if searching for an opening.

"You know," She stumbled out, tripping over her words. "Love you. Be what you want me to be. I can't..."

Her words were cut off by a pair of lips against hers, a warm hand against her cheek. His other hand that had rested against the small of her back pulling her firmly into his chest. She melted into him, her arms unravelling from around herself to tangle around him. Her eyes widened with shock, tears threatening to spill down her cheeks as her heart leaped into her throat.

As her eyes began to flutter shut, she gave herself fully to the kiss. His lips were soft against hers and she melted into him, like a piece of chocolate that had been left in the sun all day. It was sloppy at first, sudden and uncoordinated. Slowly, rythmically they had begun to move in sync.

His cool tongue brushed against her bottom lip, sending a shiver down her spine almost as if he was teasing her. She allowed him in and he claimed her mouth fully with his tongue. Exploring every inch, as if he wanted to remember the taste of her. Her face felt like it was on fire and her heart was clamouring in her ears.

When he pulled back, she sucked in a shaky breath, panting out breathlessly. It was as if he had sucked the very air from her lungs. Her cheeks were heavily flushed, the red hue splattered across her face as she looked at him with half-lidded eyes. His fingers traced small little patterns on the small of her back, as he trailed soft kisses along her jaw, up her cheek. He placed another firm and chaste kiss against her lips, before hesitantly trailing up to the tip of her nose, ending upon her forehead.

"You," He murmurs out breathlessly, clearly effected by the kiss himself. "You need to realize there isn't a single thing that you cannot do Vee, should you think to put your mind to it." Emet Selch reassures, resting his forehead against hers.

There is a small pause as he kisses away some of the stray tears on her cheeks. She feels the smile that pulls at the corners of her lips as she leans into his chest, comforted by his presence and his words. "I would like more of those."

"More what?" He teased and she could hear the sound of his smile in his tone.

"I want more kisses, Emet Selch, please!" She begged, laughing as he scooped her into his lap immediately.

"If it is more kisses, my lady wants, tis more kisses she gets." He proclaimed, positioning her with a view of the mountains and the large lake below. He tilted her back like a suitor dipping a princess at a ball before leaning in and placing another deep kiss to her lips. She wished she could stay in this moment forever, the breeze blowing through both of their hair.

The kiss felt like it lasted forever, he didn't part his lips from hers even as he scooped her up bridal style and teleported her back to her room at the Pendants. It was there that he released her from the spell he put her under. Still flushed and grinning from ear to ear, she would hug him one last time as he walked her over to her bed and sat her down.

"I will be back tonight my dear, make sure to give your friends my greeting." He teased before heading off again, leaving her there to think about the many kisses she would likely receive now that the first was out of the way. His own heart skipped a beat in passing.
