Chapter Text
He always had her cheeks a crimson red. Whether it was from flirting, his stare, having her beneath him back arching-
Fezco kept Lexi blushing and if she could pinpoint when it first started maybe she could pinpoint where she went wrong.
How she made the mistake.
As the timer ticked on, Lexi combed through her memories in her head.
The last time they had sex, what'd she said, what he said.
She remembered being pressed into the backseat of Fez's car, the soft leather rubbing against her back as he roughly fucked her raw. He kept her ankles crossed on his shoulders, Lexi panting into the warm air asking over and over for him to make her his.
Brand her, do anything to keep her. He groaned at her words, her pussy clenching every time he went deeper.
She talked reckless when they had sex, her emotions on high alert as he worked her body and had her feeling things she couldn't describe.
"Cum in me," She asked not once, not twice but multiple times kissing him and moaning until he did the deed. White spilled out of her, and the gravity of her request never settled in.
Lexi was a pretty self aware person and while she often doubted her own intelligence, she could also recognize she was smart.
Too smart to do some shit like that. Too careful- wasn't the point of her being invisible was she didn't get into situations like this.
"What the fuck-" She said aloud eyes bucking at the positive lines. She was tempted to take another one but couldn't stomach another test saying the same thing.
This had to have been a sick joke, one she certainly wasn't laughing at.
The one thing she wanted for herself,
Lexi took it and here she was being punished for it.
"What the hell am I gonna do?" An anxiety attack was on the horizon as she paced around the cramped bathroom, tugging at the hair in her head.
All the options she had laid out in a line and God, did they all sound terrible.
First to keep it and possibly be an even worse mother then her own, the thought had Lexi gagging.
To not have it-
There wasn't a God she believed in to judge her for getting an abortion, and if there was one he'd have some nerve to be angry after giving her such a shitty deck of cards.
But what would Fezco think of that? She knew her body was her choice but something about doing it behind his back ate at her heart.
Speaking of him, Lexi groaned. He had to be the first person she told and she was dreading his reaction, dreading losing the only thing that kept her feeling sane.
As she hopped on her bike riding towards his store, she wandered if the movement would affect her baby and then she felt sick at the thought.
Her baby. It went over head like a mantra and she almost crashed the bike, trying to get it out.
Walking into the store, her eyes red and face set into a permanent frown all it took was one look at Fezco for him pull her towards the back gesturing towards Ashtray to take over.
"Hey."
"Hey." He gave her another once-over,"You ight?
"No."
"You wanna tell me why?" She shook her head his tone making it harder to stay composed.
"No."
He then cupped her cheeks eyes gazing at her with so much concern, the tears welling in her eyes again faster then she could catch them.
"What's wrong?"
"Please don't hate me," She begged desperately, her crying making it harder for her to breathe.
Lexi was used to being lashed out at, used to people dumping their frustrations on her and then leaving her to pick up what was left. Silently expecting her to forgive and forget, something she always obliged.
It was easier to be ran over, easier to just let them back in and just ignore the red flags.
"I could never hate you." He said and she simply couldn't believe it.
"You're going too, I know you are."
She felt stupid and immature, sitting here dragging out something that could be uncomplicated. Her hormones were everywhere and they made things feel worse then what they were.
"Lexi, I could never hate you." He sounded serious. "Tell me what's wrong and we'll work on fixing it."
He waited paitently for her to respond, the brunette taking deep breaths to say the words.
"I'm pregnant."
It sat in the air, thick and uncomfortable the tears streaming down her cheeks as she began to sob.
Hearing it out loud triggered Lexi to a degree, his quiet settling the fear she was feeling.
Instead of snatching his hands away from her, pushing her back, demanding answers for hurtful questions she knew he'd ask.
Fezco just pulled her into a hug, a tight comforting embrace that almost made her breakdown then and there.
After a couple of minutes they pulled apart from the hug, his forehead resting on her's his arms sliding down.
"How long?"
"I just found out today so maybe 4 weeks?"She started to ramble, her leg bouncing. "I don't know the days, they're starting to blur together and honestly I forgot to track my period, I-" He shushed her softly, his hands rubbing circles into her hips.
"It's okay, I'm not asking you to figure it out." He paused looking thoughtful, "Whatchu' wanna do?"
"I don't know."
"You seem like you know everythin'." She laughed lightly at his words, shaking her head.
"If I did, I'd have known to not be this dumb."
"You ain't dumb,"Fezco clicked his teeth."We talked about that."
They had but forgive her if her memory was running on E. In the peace, Lexi took the chance to ask her own questions.
"Fez, what am I gonna do with a baby?"
"We."He corrected, Lexi's eyebrows knitting together in confusion.
"Huh?"
"What are we,"Fez continued,"You didn't do anything by yourself."
The way how ready he was to step up, Lexi knew her cheeks were red.
His eyes kept wandering to her stomach, hands stationed to her waist to resist the urge. She noticed his gaze and her heart beating faster.
"You can touch it if you want."
"You sure?"
"I said so, right." He chuckled watching as Lexi scrunched her t-shirt up.
His hands were warm, the flatness of her belly not being lost on either of them. Yet something was growing in her and while it wasn't visible, it was there.
"You still don't know what you want?" He asked, She nodded her head silently, taking in his cologne in soft breaths.
"Okay, we'll figure it out together."
Together.
At his affirmations she cupped his face pressing their lips together in a slow, sweet kiss.
His gentleness kept her steady and even for a few minutes, she felt like everything was going to be alright.
Even if they weren't.
