Everyone knows Sunoo has cute soft cheeks. It has been proven by the members pinching and touching them, especially Ni-ki and Heeseung. They sometimes wonder if it can be anymore softer. Just as Ni-ki wonders — like a sign from above — Heeseung enters with a bag of marshmallows on hand. This gives Ni-ki an idea.
"Hyung! Have you heard of the 'chubby bunny' challenge?" Sunoo turns to see Ni-ki grinning with his hands on his back.
"Yeah, why?" Ni-ki's grin becomes even bigger — if that's even possible — as he finally shows what he was hiding behind his back. Sunoo's eyes widen as he looked at the bag of marshmallows on Ni-ki's hands. "Let's do it!"
And that's how Sunoo found himself sitting on the floor with the youngest in their shared bedroom. "Where did you even get the idea of trying this challenge years after it was trending." Sunoo said while narrowing his eyes, it was more of a phrase rather than a question. It seems like that didn't phase the younger since he's still grinning and bouncing in place like an excited kid, well technically he is an excited kid.
"Come on hyung don't be such a killjoy! I have everything ready, I even have wet wipes with me just in case you drool! Which is highly possible." He said as he drops the bag of marshmallows on the floor and reach his drawers, looking for the said wet wipes. Sunoo was about to complain again if it wasn't for the soft knocking on the door. "Hey, whatcha guys up to?" Jungwon asks as he peeks his head through the now opened door.
"Oh, Jungwon-hyung! We're gonna try the 'chubby bunny' challenge! You know, the challenge where you stuff your mouth with marshmallows as much as you can?"
"Yes, I know what that challenge is, Ni-ki. But why so sudden? That trend died like, years ago." He answered, finally getting inside the room and sitting beside Sunoo. "Exactly what I said." The boy beside Jungwon said in pout, causing his cheeks to puff a bit more.
"See! This is why I want to do the challenge!" Ni-ki hurriedly went close Sunoo to poke his cheek. "I want to see your cheeks puff even more!"
"The only thing you'll see is a face that needs to be covered to protect Sunoo-hyung's idol image." Sunoo chuckles lightly at that as he playfully hits Jungwon's arm. Ni-ki huffs at their leader's comment but still doesn't give up. "I'll still find hyung cute no matter what though, as long as his cheeks are puffed cutely like a squirrel then I'm satisfied." He crosses his arms as he looks at the two of his hyungs, causing both of them to giggle at the youngest's actions.
"Alright, I'll do it." Sunoo finally agrees after minutes of convincing. Ni-ki visibly beams at that as he finally finds the wet wipes and sit back down. When he said he has everything ready, he means everything. He has water to drink, lots of water. He also has a bucket covered with plastic bag to spit all the marshmallows after. He also researched how to save a person from suffocating, since he know the precautions of the challenge. Lastly, he has the marshmallows. Not the big or tiny ones, but medium size marshmallows.
Ni-ki himself has a big mouth, so he thinks he can fit atleast 20 marshmallows in there. "Are you not gonna stop us, Jungwon-hyung?" He raises an eyebrow on the said boy. Jungwon shrugs, "Why should I? Sunoo-hyung already agreed and I also want to see him with cutely puffed cheeks." Sunoo flusters at that. He has been called cute too many times today, wayyyyy too much for one day. "If things go wrong, I guess you're not the only one responsible for that. So I'll try my best to prevent that situation." He looks at Sunoo and smiles before adding, "Your life is in good hands, hyung." Sunoo only rolls his eyes to that. He takes the marshmallow bag from Ni-ki's hands and opens it himself.
"Wanna bet how much I can put in my mouth?"
"What are you gonna bet, your life?" Jungwon says pointedly. Don't get him wrong, he wants to see his hyung's face stuffed with soft marshmallows, but he's definitely not risking his hyung's life to see that.
Sunoo completely ignores him and looks at Ni-ki, "Do you think I'll be able to fit 15 marshmallows in my mouth?"
"You're a hazard to society."
"And a coward. Do TWENTY!"
Sunoo eyes widens again for the second time today. Jungwon just hits Ni-ki's head but not hard enough to give him a concussion, "What the hell?! Are you planning to kill him? Not everyone has a big mouth like you, you know." Ni-ki rubs the back of his head while acting all hurt.
Here's the thing, Sunoo is competitive and petty. He will not back down from a challenge, "Bet."
He puts one marshmallow in his mouth with a determined look on his face, "Chubby Bunny."
This went on until he reaches up to the eight marshmallow. He slowly puts it in his mouth before saying 'Chubby Bunny', his words barely comprehensible because of the marshmallows muffling his voice. The other two are just laughing their asses off because of Sunoo's face, he probably looks hilarious right now. "Take a picture, it'll last longer." His voice is muffled but Ni-ki still somewhat understood it. He whips his phone out to take a picture of his hyung's face, smiling and giggling while looking at him through the phone. "Look, hyung — you look so cute!" He shows his phone screen to Sunoo while laughing even harder. Yup, he looks hilarious indeed. He doesn't know how Ni-ki still finds that cute.
Jungwon just laughs with him and gets a wet wipe. He reaches to wipe the corner of Sunoo's mouth, "You're starting to drool, hyung. We're not even over ten!" He says while still laughing. Sunoo looks at both of them while wearing an annoyed look on his face before getting another marshmallow to put on his mouth, this would be the ninth marshmallow. "Chubby Bunny." The two burst out laughing again and Sunoo tries his best to not laugh with them, because if he does laugh he'll definitely spit all the marshmallows everywhere (or even choke.)
He starts thinking of a strategy to atleast get 5 more marshmallows in his mouth. Maybe if he lets it sit for a while, some of the marshmallows will be soaked enough to squeeze and shrink? "We can stop now if you want, hyung." Jungwon said carefully, he is still their leader despite participating in this challenge. Sunoo quickly shook his head while getting the tenth marshmallow. He slowly puts it in his mouth like he did with the others before saying, "Chubby Bunny." They burst out laughing, again. Sunoo doesn't get what they're laughing about. "Hyung, look! His cheeks are so soft!" Ni-ki says while poking a finger on Sunoo's cheeks. Jungwon pokes the other side and forms an 'o' with his mouth.
"Oh my god, it's like a pillow."
"I know right!"
Sunoo just sits between them with his eyes closed while the two continue to poke his cheeks.
"Okay, hyung — let me take one last picture before you can spit it out." Sunoo opens his eyes to look at Ni-ki with a confused expression. "Come on hyung, I was joking when I said you should do twenty! Plus my mouth hurts just by looking at you." Ni-ki says while patting Sunoo's head. "Yeah, and I'm craving s'mores." Jungwon chimes in. Sunoo just nods and looks at Ni-ki's phone camera. He shows his eye-smile that everyone loves.
"Alright hyung, challenge is done! Spit everything here." Ni-ki hands over the bucket for Sunoo to spit on. Jungwon hands the wet wipes and bottle of water that was sitting beside them the whole time. After cleaning, Sunoo holds them back from leaving the room. "Wait, its unfair if I'm the only one who did the challenge." The two of them looks at each other before looking back at Sunoo.
"So you mean..."
"Come on! Atleast stuff five marshmallows in your mouths!"
"But doesn't stuffing your mouth with s'mores sound better?!"
"No way, this is unfair. No one is leaving this room until both of you does the challenge!"
"Come on hyung~ Let us go! You're so cute, hehe."
"That's not gonna work on me, Ni-ki. Both of you sit!"
"Have you seen the marshmallows anywhere?" Heeseung asks as soon as he enters the kitchen where the 02z are hanging out. "Me and Jungwon were planning to make s'mores."
"Oh those are yours? I saw Ni-ki taking the bag." Jake answers.
"I saw him and Sunoo enter our bedroom with it." Sunghoon adds.
"I saw Jungwon entering the room too minutes later." Jay finishes.
"So none of you got curious and ask what they were doing with the marshmallows? They might've ate it already." Heeseung says with a disappointed look on his face.
"Ni-ki said him and Sunoo we're gonna do the 'Chubby Bunny' challenge." Jake informs them. "I haven't heard of that name since 2015." Jay comments. "Sunoo probably just got dragged by Ni-ki and Jungwon just joined them."
"Knowing Ni-ki, he probably took a picture of Sunoo with his mouth stuffed with marshmallows." Jay concludes.
"I'm gonna need Ni-ki to send me that photo. It's a great teasing material." Sunghoon snickers. "You mean blackmail material? Leave the poor boy alone." Jake retorts.
"You can't blame me! Teasing him is fun!"
Heeseung sighs, "Oh well, there goes our s'mores."
