And they were roommates.

Summary:

"Let me get this straight... So you saw your roommate, who you supposedly hate oh so much, jerking off... and now you can't stop thinking about his ass."

"Well... If you put it like that, it doesn't sound so good... Nonetheless, yes, it is exactly that."

Chapter 1: Pretty Little Accident.

Summary:

Hung ginger finds his hot roommate masturbating! What happens next will shock you.

Chapter Text

Ajax - alias 'Tartaglia' - was not exactly a 'delinquent' in specific terms, however, it was not surprising that some referred to him as such. Of course, he used to skip the classes he disliked, talk back to his teachers -even tried to hit on them a couple times- and sneaked alcohol to the cafeteria.

To top it all off, he had money. A lot of money.

This being the reason why not even the director of the institution dared to expel him, no matter what kind of misdeeds he did. After all, who in his right mind would seek trouble with a member of the organization run by the prestigious Tsaritsa?  Contradicting him was a death wish, so as long as he didn't cause any major trouble he would just simply be ignored by most college members.

At the other end of the spectrum was student council president Zhongli. Serene, calm, responsible and level-headed, he is a sensation among the professors thanks to his vast knowledge, adding to the class and helping them proofread exams in his spare time. He is the typical brainiac who raises his hand to remind the teacher that he forgot the homework they had pending.

In general, both of them are like oil and water, and therefore dislike each other's company. Or rather, hate each other's guts.
They get along poorly, and in any normal instance prefer to keep their distance from one another.

So funny could the world be, that due to alphabetical reasons and problems with late registrations, the college had to make A, the first name, join Z, the last, in a shared campus dorm.
Extremely different roommates, like day and night.

They fortunately have separate bedrooms, but share a common bathroom, living room, kitchen and dining room.

Zhongli hates his roommate's horrible habits, like not being able to sleep at 3am because Ajax is playing video games and yelling nonsense with his friends, or how he sometimes gets out of the shower with nothing but a towel tied around his waist and toothbrush in mouth, as if he lived alone.
And not to begin with the times he has caught Ajax scratching his balls and then sniffing his hand, like a disgusting idiot.

In turn, Tartaglia hated a lot of things about Zhongli. Like when he tries to play music and Mr. Know-It-All comes and asks him to turn it down because he's studying. in a weekend! And it wasn't even that loud! Geez.
Or the disgusted face Zhongli makes when Ajax goes through the trouble of cooking for both of them and sees that it's something he doesn't like, like his delicious seafood soup which he puts a lot of effort into. Or how he takes the curb off the bread. Who even does that anyway?

Both hate each other, and life is fine like this. They only have to talk to one another when it comes to the meal selection of the day, and they live with the joy of being able to ignore the other in the college corridors.

There are people who just aren't meant to be friends, and that's the case with both Zhongli and Tartaglia.
It's a-OK.

At the time, Ajax was taking a break in the campus cafeteria, getting something to eat before the next class. He was talking with a pair of curious twins, whom he didn't mind calling his best friends. Aether, the older brother by a second, was more pleasant and sociable, while Lumine was more sarcastic and chaotic. It was a nice contrast of personalities, and together they complemented each other as if they were a complete person.

"Are you going to the party, Tartaglia?"  Aether asked, nibbling on a piece of bread.

"Is the sky blue? Do you drink water?... Geez, what kind of question is that?" The ginger answered, drinking his apple juice tinted with just a bit, a tiny lil bitsy, of alcohol that he managed to sneak in.

And it's all because of Venti, a senior that he knew only by face, had invited everyone to a grand party at Diluc's mansion. How could anyone at all convince Diluc of something like this? Only they will know.

Diluc, brother of one of his friends, was a sensation among the halls for having the best house in the whole college;  a perfect two-floor mansion, with swimming pool, terrace and basement... Stuff of being the son of a wine industry tycoon, he thought.

"I heard that everyone will go."  Lumine added, sipping from a soda can.  "I'm not very excited, but Aether is going because a guy from his class is and I have to take care of him. What even was his name? ... Xi-?"

"Lumine!" Yelled her brother, clearly blushing and covering his sister's mouth before she spoke any further. "There's no need to go into so many details!"

Tartaglia let out a humorless laugh after seeing the scene, after all, sometimes he remembered his siblings who were back in his homeland, and he missed them a lot, still, it wasn't an unpleasant longing.

"You mean the short one, that guy, Xiao? Ohoho, I heard he's going to the party. You should take the chance, Aether. If even he is going, that means everyone will."  He added nonchalantly.

"No way. I've heard even Zhongli is. Isn't that crazy?"  Lumine assured after biting her brother's hand to be freed, earning a reproachful look.

"Zhongli, hah..." Ajax repeated, rolling his eyes.

Just hearing that name made his blood boil. Adored by all, but only he knew how bratty and spoiled Zhongli could be between four closed walls. He hoped no one would think that he was going to babysit the guy. If Zhongli, inexperienced as he was, were to go, he would have to take care of himself.

"Who would have thought? I thought he would be too busy studying for an exam due in five months."  The ginger joked, sly smile on his freckled face.

"Yeah, right? I got the news, but I don't know why he's finally going out to a party, you should ask him."  Aether questioned curiously.

"I'm not that interested either." Ajax sighed, already tired of the subject.

"But aren't you curious? He's the student council president, anyone would think he'd be against a party of this magnitude." Lumine wondered, tilting her head.

"Maybe, maybe not. We'll see."  Tartaglia scratched the back of his neck.

"Whatever, my class is going to start soon! See you guys tonight."  Aether warned in a rush, standing up before waving to them with his stale bread from the cafeteria in hand as he hurried to his classroom.

"See you at the party." Ajax waved goodbye, licking his lips after tasting some more of his 'definitely non-alcoholic' juice.

"Well, I was honestly hoping you weren't. Who's going to take care of our bunny?"  Lumine asked, stretching lazily.

"I won't take care of Paimon again. She's a bottomless pit, and ate all of my food the time I looked after her."  The ginger arched an eyebrow, remembering the pair of twins' gluttonous pet.

"Touche. Let me go ask Ayaka if she's not going then, I have to find someone to look after her in case I get too drunk." Lumine said leisurely, making sure to leave the food remains for Ajax as she got up to go find the aforementioned.

"Very delicate," Ajax scoffed as he realized the twins had left the trash for him to clean up, rolling his eyes.

The blonde girl responded by sticking her tongue out at him, laughing before going to look out for the white-haired one.

Ajax sighed one last time as he settled himself better in his seat, finishing his meal as he fished the cellphone out of his pocket, looking for any nonsense on social media to pass the time before class started.
As expected, all the topics among his friends was the oh so expected party;  what they would wear, who they wanted to sleep with, what they would drink...
It would be a big deal, but was it really that big?

His attention was soon caught by someone who just entered the cafeteria, that being his very own roommate.
Zhongli was talking with a teacher like the cocksucker he was, ready to eat lunch together and talk about the left nut of one of Liyue old rulers or something among those lines.
Actually, Ajax didn't know what they were talking about, but every time he heard Zhongli speak it was always about an old topic that he wasn't interested in at all... or bulking because Ajax cooked seafood.

The only thing Zhongli had going for him was that pretty little mouth of his. Tartaglia didn't have a single doubt that Zhongli had good grades not only because of his studies, but because of how pretty he was. He wouldn't be surprised if some weird-ass teacher wanted to invite sweet Zhongli to meet their daughters or something.

"A pretty mouth, hah…" he rumbled, looking back down at his cell phone to leave those silly thoughts aside.

The night didn't last to arrive and likewise, the party that had been on everyone's mouth.  It was almost like an historical event.

Ajax was at that moment in his shared dorm, finishing up the last touches of his outfit; skinny ripped jeans, a nice shirt with a couple of open buttons and rolled up sleeves was fair enough to look good, knowing that sometimes more was less. Just a little bit of cologne and he felt fully prepared.

What a surprise it was when he left his room to find Zhongli getting ready in the main room aswell, looking at himself in the mirror while putting on some long Liyuen earrings.
He didn't look half bad, dolled up with a certain red eyeliner that highlighted his long eyes.
It was a shame he was so boring, as Ajax wouldn't have minded tasting him for a night If it was anyone else.

'Such a pity', he thought to himself.  Because with the way things were going, he was disgusted to think of his roommate in any way other than mere acquaintances. It didn't help the way that Zhongli was dressed in, using an old-fashioned vest as if it were a study meeting.

"Hey, I didn't expect you to actually go."  Ajax scoffed, walking up behind him. "Aren't you too busy studying for a test or something?"

"I can go out to parties too."  Zhongli replied, without taking his eyes off his own reflection. "And for your information, there are no exams or papers due for another week."

Ajax clicked his tongue; he hated that robotic tone Zhongli used, like he was above him and everyone else.

"I've never seen you go on social outings anyway."  The ginger questioned, still with enough minutes to kill before leaving.

"... Venti asked me to go. I won't break my promise."  Zhongli simply replied.

"Are Venti and you friends?"  Ajax widened his eyes "but, Venti is very cheerful and funny, he's a delight to be around, sometimes I see him singing and dancing around with other guys and you are... Well, you."

"Venti is, indeed, my best friend." Zhongli arched an eyebrow, finally connecting his cor-lapis gaze to the blue one through the mirror. "and what does that even mean?"

"... Nothing, forget about it." Tartaglia sighed, finally putting an end to the conversation. "I'm going now."

"I see."  he answered lightly, returning his attention to the earrings.

"Hah..." it was extremely difficult to strike a conversation with his roommate, like talking to a rock.  "then see you, I guess."

"I'll see you there."

And that was the last thing said in the room before Ajax took his keys and went out.

Zhongli definitely shouldn't attend, Ajax thought once he arrived at the party. The Ragnvindr mansion was huge as he had heard whispered, filled with both familiar and unknown faces.

The air reeked of alcohol and nicotine, a liquor table ready to be devoured by the hormonal young adults who were there. On one side, there were drinking games like beer pong and pool, and on the other, simple conversations here and there, accompanied by one or another couple in a corner groping each other.

Alcohol, sex and loud music.
Yeah, that was his kind of party. But he knew it wasn't Zhongli's.

"This place sucks."  Lumine groaned, sitting next to Ajax and her brother at the wide bar, worthy of the famous Ragnvindr liquor company. "Though....they have some pretty fancy drinks here. Huh, I keep wondering how Venti convinced Diluc to let so many people come."

"Who knows? They'll have their own business behind we don't have to find out about." Tartaglia simply commented, drinking a sip of vodka;  his Snezhnayan blood gave him a very good resistance to alcohol, worthy of his motherland. "Everyone has secrets, don't they?"

"... I haven't seen Xiao yet. Boo." Aether muttered plaintively between hiccups, cheeks flushed worthy of someone clearly inebriated.

"And you should stop drinking, you fool. I won't carry you home."  His sister reproached.

"And what are you, my mom?" He angrily replied.

While the twins continued to play fighting, Tartaglia decided to continue drinking, observing the surroundings and looking out for his next one-night stand.
It was obvious; Ajax was a handsome young man who liked to enjoy his years of adulthood. It was not strange that at each party he used to go out with a different person, be it a woman or man. He'd take them to their house or a motel, since his own place was off limits: he'd rather die than let old-fashioned Zhongli find him and his fuck buddy, and then give them a talk about not fucking before marriage or something like that.

Zhongli would definitely do that.  With his baggy sweaters and the way he hid his natural good looks, he'd never seen him go on dates or anything like that. Ajax wouldn't be surprised if he was asexual, or if he just didn't have anything down there at all.

Ajax wanted to stop thinking about the intimate parts of his roommate asap, so he continued to go over the sea of people, looking for one that would catch his attention and with whom he could warm his sheets.

The universe seemed to play with him as his gaze fell on pretty brown hair held in a long ponytail, fading cor lapis at the tips.
Duh, Zhongli stood out like a sore back. No one else was dressed as modestly and neatly as his roommate, who walked through the front door with the tail between his legs.

So he did decide to come. Interesting. Ajax could have sworn he'd chicken out midway and wouldn't.

He thought about greeting him, but he preferred to watch him from afar, curious as to what he would do in a place so far away from his comfort zone.
Zhongli looked clearly uncomfortable, not knowing where to put his hands when walking or how to move, even how to look at the people around him.
He was a complete idiot.

Ajax amusedly drank from his glass again without looking away, as the twins were still arguing next to him, immersed in their sibling rivalry or something.

It didn't take long for Venti to finally arrive, approach Zhongli and give him a tight hug, almost throwing himself on him and leaving them both on the floor.

Ajax stifled a laugh at the embarrassed expression on his roommate's face. He would almost dare to think that it was kind of adorable. Almost
But it definetly leaned on the pathetic side more than anything else.

"So they truly are friends, huh…" Ajax thought out loud.

"Did you say something?" Aether asked, taking a break from arguing with his sister.

"No, no, nothing." Tartaglia calmly corrected.

He turned his attention back to his roommate and his friend, different as night and day.  He watched as Venti offered Zhongli an unknown drink before dragging him away, finally disappearing into the sea of people.

Oh, Ajax had actually spent almost 5 minutes looking at his roommate, hah.
There was nothing weird about that, he just liked to make fun of his awkwardness and nothing else.

"Anyway, as I was saying... If Xiao doesn't show up, I'll leave right now." Ajax caught Aether pouting, crossing his arms

"You're very spoiled, don't you think-?" Lumine tried to speak before being interrupted.

"Ohoho, look, a spot just got freed at the beer pong, let's play!" Tartaglia interrupted, suddenly getting up and leading the twins to the empty table.

"... Aha, sure." the blonde girl sighed, following close behind both boys.

_____________________________________

The night continued between glass after glass, drinks, alcohol and a couple of quick gropes. Ajax didn't remember how many drinks he already had, but didn't care either way.  He played some beer pong with the twins and a bit of pool, actually having a great time. He enjoyed his chaotic life of moving from party to party, meeting new people he wouldn't remember the next morning.

Ajax was at that moment talking to a group of guys he met at the pool table, when suddenly, a stranger tugging on his arm caught his attention.

It wasn't particularly strange, he thought. Sometimes drunkards tripped and grabbed each other, or mistook you for an acquaintance.

However, Ajax blinked perplexed for a couple of seconds as he became aware of the identity of the person trying to get his attention, pathetically tugging at him.

It was none other than his roommate, looking at him through glazed eyes and red cheeks. Zhongli tugged at his arm, but it seemed more like he was trying to steady himself up so he wouldn't lose his balance.

"Hey, Ajax, just so you know... I'm leaving early, I'm not feeling too, uhm, well."  Zhongli muttered hoarsely, his throat sore from all the consumed alcohol.

Tartaglia did not fully understand what was happening.  Had he just heard wrong?  He took a couple of seconds to process the situation before nodding, suddenly returning back to Teyvat after seeing his roommate's drunken, embarrassed expression. Zhongli looked like he really wasn't used to drinking, Ajax thought he had more self-control, but he looked completely broken, useless and-

Venti
Everything suddenly fell into place. Surely the lil guy pushed Zhongli to drink more than his limit allowed.

"Okay, huh... Drink water and lie down, I'll be home soon." Ajax assured, trying as best he could to hide his concern.

All he got in return was a nod before Zhongli was lost in the sea of drunken people heading for the exit, staggering and stumbling in his wake.

Ajax couldn't help but let the concern rise up from deep within his chest as he let his roommate go back alone. Sure, he despised his guts, but he didn't want anything bad happening to him because of the alcohol either.

He bit his lower lip before losing himself in the vodka again. After all, it's not like his roommate was a child, surely he could take care of himself.

_____________________________________

Barely half an hour passed and Tartaglia had already left the party prematurely, unable to stop thinking about his silly drunken roommate. He apologized to Lumine and helped her drag Aether out of the party before leaving, who was crying because he didn't get a chance to see his crush that night.

Ajax deeply disliked Zhongli, however, he hated even more the idea of something bad happening to him along the way. He made sure to carefully check every corner in the direction of his house in case he found him lying around surrounded by his own puke.
He would tease him about it for all of eternity, maybe even blackmail him a bit, but would help nonetheless.

His heart was beating rapidly once he unlocked the door and stepped into the shared dorm, being greeted with the complete silence and darkness of the night.

"Zhongli?"  Ajax called after him once he entered and found the house empty, not a soul in sight, closing the door behind him and walking slowly.

Everything was turned off, just as they had left it before they went out, and his chest tightened with immense concern that his partner hadn't made it home safe and sound.

Or perhaps Zhongli arrived and had already fallen asleep. Ajax prayed that was the case.

In silence, he searched for him with quiet steps in the living room and kitchen, including the shared bathroom. There weren't many places to look either being a simple student flat, but he wanted to make sure before he had to go into his room.

He found that the door to Zhongli's room was slightly ajar, as if it had been tried to be closed and failed miserably.
Normally he would not enter, but at that moment the other's well-being was the most important thing.

With trembling steps, he approached the door of his room to open it quietly, deciding not to knock in case Zhongli was found sleeping.

However, never in a million dreams would he have expected what he found.

Right in front of his blue eyes he recognized across the gloom of the night his roommate, the boring and apathetic Zhongli, in his bed, fervently touching himself as if his life depended on it.

Ajax froze completely, barely recognizing that he shouldn't be seeing this, but unable to move a single inch. Terrified of being found, cold, nervous, with a rapid heart beat and heavy breathing.

"M-Mhghm-... A-Ahn, ah-..." Small gasps could be heard from the bed, sending hundreds of electric shocks through Tartaglia's groin.

Zhongli was on his knees, resting his chest on the bed with his ass up in the air.
And what an ass
Tartaglia knew that his mate didn't have a horrible body, but he had never before seen it so... Clearly before. Thighs so soft and firm at the same time, that he knew the precious skin would protrude between his fingers if he squeezed hard enough.

He also managed to catch a glimpse of his roommate's pretty cock, shaved and dripping with pre-cum that slid down it's length. However, Ajax's attention was drawn directly to something else that left him cold.

The most important thing was the two fingers, burying themselves inside his pinkish, tight asshole, between the precious buttocks.

In and out, in and out, in and out...
Zhongli's entrance clenched around the intrusion as if he didn't want to let them out, and every time his knuckles touched the skin of his rear a beautiful sigh escaped from the pretty lips, reddish and wet from the bites he had given them - possibly to try and keep quiet, but failing miserably.-

Tartaglia was paralyzed and could only hear his heartbeat racing, sweating as if he had just run a marathon. He couldn't move or process thoughts with any semblance of logical sense, only able to watch as the apathetic Zhongli squirmed and twitched.

The worst part of all, was how extremely turned on Ajax was, his fingers aching from the horrible urge he felt to eat his beautiful roommate and finger him himself.  Zhongli was ethereal, an image carved by the gods that only a sinner like him had the right to see.

A tent formed in his pants, hot and pushing needfully against the fabric. It hurt. He brought his hand to his crotch, squeezing hard in an attempt to calm himself.  He could be a lot of things, but he wouldn't jerk off to something like that...

Who was he kidding? How could he calm down after this? If the older one squirmed and arched his back beautifully, his milky skin covered with a fine layer of sweat that scared him how much he wanted to lick.

What the fuck.
What the hell was even going on.

His pupils dilated, unable to look away from that fucking guy and his pretty, pink entrance. Ajax was going to die, he swore that he was going to fucking die.

Tartaglia didn't know where he got the willpower to finally give his rommate his privacy back and scramble away, tripping over everything in the hallway back to his own room.

He needed to touch himself, needed to put it into something, in Zhongli. In a pillow, in Zhongli, in whatever. In Zhongli.

Zhongli. Zhongli, just Zhongli.

Ajax didn't bother to keep quiet any longer when he slammed the door to his own room shut, immediately punching the wall with images of his roommate still flooding his brain.
He felt sickened, and worse, so turned on he wanted to die. It was so hot, it burned, his body was on fire and his blood boiled like lava.
He had never imagined something like that could happen, and how much the image excited him, welcoming an animalistic sense of possessiveness.
Zhongli had always done this?  In the next room, just next to Ajax?  Zhongli always fingered himself as if his life depended on it? He didn't even tried to ask for help?
Ridiculous, it was all too ridiculous, he couldn't think.

He wanted to scream and hit himself, but first, he had a hard, throbbing problem to solve thinking about his oh so hated roommate.
