Work Text:

"Hey, grandpa,"

"Grandpaaaaa,"

"Qiannieeeeeee,"

"Kunieee, Kun-kun,"

"Daddy-"

"What?"

"Oh, so you like dadd-"

"Shut up, what do you want?"

"Sooooo, my wifi got disconnected without a notice and my hands were tied up to check my scheduled bills…"

"Call them,"

"Daddy-"

"Ten."

"What? I thought you liked it?"

"…"

"Okay, so, it's late and I don't want them to fix it at this hour. I don't have the heart to disturb them from, you know, having dinner with their families or having sex with-"

"So, you're here to disturb me instead?"

"Because your family is in China and you don’t have a partner to fuck-"

"Stop! And how can you tell someone's family and civil status, Ten?"

"Duh! You'll never know."

"Whatever,"

"So, do you mind giving me your wifi password, then?"

"Not really,"

"Nice! Punch them in!"

"I rather have you guess the password, though."

"Ugggggh! Baby, come on,"

"No, I'm going to bed."

"I have a series to finish, baby,"

"Have a good night, Ten."

"And Ten.."

"Yes? Did you realize now how absurd you are for leaving me without a fuckin' hint of your stupid wifi password?"

"No,"

"Then what?"

"Stop calling me names."

"You... grandpa!"

Can Wi Fi the feeling?

What kind of wifi name is this?

After trying sets of possible passwords, he gave up and called Yangyang instead. Kun is soooo lame for this. That old ass!

A few rings in and Yang answered, "Sup?"

"Do you know what uncle grandpa's wifi password is?" Yangyang could tell that Ten rolled his eyes. Typical Ten. He's cute, though, he thought. He'll let him pass.

"Dunno,"

"Ugh!" Ten was about to throw a fit when he heard a shuffling noise over the phone.

"Oh wait! I remember him telling me the hint the other day since mine got disconnected and I was playing,"

"What is it?" Ten sounds so eager at this point, why not take advantage, huh? "What do I get out of it?"

"Yangyang!"

"Come on, ge. Nothing's free nowadays,"

"Fine! Midnight snacks for a month,"

bingo!

"Sounds tempting…"

"Take it or leave it!"

"Fine!"

"Okay, tell me! I need to finish this fuckin' series, so I could finish this review."

"He said something about loving the luna on a treasure chest? blah blah blah,"

"Yang, I swear, I don’t have time for riddles."

"Ge, that's what he told me!"

"What..." Ten swears it is the most useless hint he has ever heard.

"Ooops, Renjun's calling. Gotta hung up, ge!"

Ten spent 30 minutes trying to guess Kun's wifi password, but still, none of it worked. His patience couldn't take this "punishment" anymore so he got up, wore his black furry slippers, and balled up his fists ready to strangle the boy in the next room.

"Kun! Open the door," not so surprisingly, no one opened the door. He tried leaning his ears onto the door trying to catch any sound from the inside.

Huh, he must be so old, he slept early.

Should I let him sleep?

No way, I have reviews to pass tomorrow.

But Kun's already sleeping… it's not appropriate to just barge into his room when he's asleep.

Huh, since when did I become nice?

Ten taps his foot as he tries to think about what he should do. It's not like Kun's going to get mad at him for disturbing his sleep, nah! he won't. He did disturb his sleep quite a few times since moving in with the two, Kun and Yangyang, and he didn't complain.

That time when he got hungry for staying up late to finish his reports that were supposed to be submitted the next day while Kun was already sleeping after he finished testing his samples for the upcoming musical project at the university. The youngest, Yangyang, was in his room with his friend (or not), playing. The moment the clock struck 12, his stomach growled hunger. He got up, left his papers lying on his study table, and lazily opened the door to obey his demanding, snarling stomach. He scanned the whole pantry to look for something more "instant" than instant noodles but didn't find one. They were all fruits, green, leafy… healthy. Eww!

That left him with no choice, he walked past his door with his furry slippers, brushing softly on his feet, and without hesitations, he knocked on the door, "Kun?"

After a couple of knocks, the door finally opened, bringing out a sleepy, yawning dormmate wearing his cotton t-shirt that says "I Am My Cat's Boss, or Not"  with his bed hair acting up, cute.

"Hmm?" eyes half-closed. Damn, was he ever this good-looking?

"I'm hungry…"

The older rubbed his eyes and stared at him for seconds. Ten thought his dormmate would just close the door in his face and let him die in hunger for disturbing his sleep, but he must be an angel that he didn't.

"Uh, what are you doing?" He didn't get an answer but he did get a look from the older so he just sat and wait for him to finish.

Oh, so he'll cook for me. I thought he'll just order something and stay with me until I finish.

Wow, good knife skills. That smells nice, I'm hungrier now.

I wonder what he does for him to have this physique, interesting.

Huh, his hair seems fluffy, hmmm will definitely brush it softly between my fingers. Should I-

His train of thoughts was interrupted by a metallic sound coming from the kitchen drawer. Kun's done cooking and he's setting the table for the younger, the latter just watched him move around the kitchen. After minutes, Ten looked at Kun as if he did something illegal when he just sat in front of him with his eyes gleaming. He got the message so he started eating the food his dormmate cooked for him. The first slurp seemed unrealistic, as well as the second, third, and fourth…

"This tastes soooo good! Glad I came knocking instead of eating instant noodles and leafy things." The older just raised his brow playfully and shook his head.

"What's with the healthy foods, by the way? I haven't seen any other foods than just leaves."

"What's wrong with healthy foods, huh?"

"Nothing, I just don't believe that's all you have here."

"You're right."

"Really? Where are they? Do we have spam?"

"We have spam."

"That's unfair! I haven't seen any since I moved in."

"Well, you didn’t ask."

"You should've at least told me where to find them."

"Yeah, my bad."

"So where and why are they not in the pantry?"

"Yang's mom told me not to let him eat instant noodles and unhealthy foods every day."

"Ah, so you're his guardian."

"Yes, what about it?"

"Chill, grandpa." The older just forced a smile as a response to the younger's playful banter.

"Are you done now?" Ten nodded and smiled fondly at him, eyes full of appreciation for the man in front of him for his generosity.

After cleaning the dishes, Kun was about to turn the knob when he felt a hand wrapped around his arm.

"Hmm?" looking intently at him, trying to catch the pair of eyes that is just too shy to even look back.

"Uh…" The older raised a brow, waiting for the younger to complete his sentence.

"Thank you… for the food… and for accompanying me." without looking at his dormmate, playing with his fingers, thinking about something else so he doesn’t have to make a big deal out of it. It has been seconds and he hasn't heard a closing door or any sound… at all.

That was until he felt a hand pat his head… more like in a brushing manner, a gentle one.

And the door closes.

And that one time when Ten got home late due to his extended dance practices for their university's weekly dance deliberation. He was soaking wet, sloppy steps until he reached their unit floor, crying out about his miserable day. This time, it was not him that stirred Kun in his sleep, it was Kun himself. Ten caught him rushing, looked like he was off somewhere, slipping his fingers out of the sweater, and locking the door using his free hand as fast as he could until he saw Ten at the end of the hallway.

"You see, this is why you need to look for someone. Try entertaining your suitors, maybe?"

"Not tonight, grandpa."

"I'm serious, Ten."

"So am I. Not tonight,"

"You do realize everyone's not a dumbass, right? You can order them around. You can ask them to pick you up whenever," Kun jokes. This old hat.

The younger raised his eyebrow and just focused on toweling his hair with Kun's newly-cleaned towel, his did not make it out of the laundry today.

"I'm saying, you're a handful," the next words did not pass Kun's tongue as the younger shot daggers with his eyes, "Excuse me?"

Kun snorted and got up, frustrated at how Ten's hair was painfully, silently screaming for help as they were being rubbed aggressively. He snatched the towel from the younger, why not help him dry his hair, properly?  He thought.

"You're a handful. We both know that… plus, you need someone to take care of you, Ten. We do not want you crying like that, again."

Silence invaded Ten's room. Ten knows Kun is worried, but he doesn't need a man! He thought. He can live without them, anyway. He also knows Kun did not mean it literally. He just wants Ten to be careful when Kun is not around to towel off his dry as fuck dyed hair, right.

"I don’t need someone, I…" he looked at him and his gaze shifted to the furniture behind him as if it was the most interesting sight at the moment,

"I can take care of myself." Kun hummed his response.

The taller was still helping him, toweling the last drop of rain that soaked the younger, "Alright, you're all good. I'm going now," as he opened the door, foot almost crossing the threshold when his body acted out of his will. Now facing the man with lovely sharp features, walking through. Cutting distance. A hand in a pocket, and another on the younger's soft cheek.

"I'll take care of you… until you find someone. Okay? Good night, Ten." He did not expect that. As well as the lips that landed on his forehead. He did not. Not at all.

Ten is beyond hopeless at this point. It's getting late and the amount of sleep that he's supposed to have is below his patience. He calmed himself and went back to his room. What's with the luna thing anyway? Luna, luna, luna. He entered his bathroom and took off his shirt to get ready for a warm bath instead of taking fucking useless guesses. As usual, he faces the mirror and looks at his reflection, tracing the inked part of his chest, the crescent one which Kun picked among all his drafts. He really loves his tattoos. Ten snorts as he remembers how scared he was the first time he set a tattoo appointment, good thing Kun was always there to hold his hand... well, the squeeze on my thigh helped, too, and the whispers, reassuring me that it would be done before I knew it.

Kun... if he could only ask him to be his someone. Ten was so sure Kun would laugh it off, so he didn't try. It's enough that they are good friends.

After taking a short warm bath, he wore his robe and looked for his phone to check if there are important e-mails or bills that he forgot to pay, again. He was about to get a set of clothes but the curved icon was tempting.

Okay, okay... let's try one more time.

"Think like Kun, think like Kun. If I were Kun, an old ass dork, and old people tend to forget things... I would put the simplest password as much as possible,"

Airplane

Incorrect Password

AIRPLANE

"Goood, Kun! What is this?"

Think. Think. Think. It's not about passing the requirements anymore but the frustration that urges him to figure the password out. Fuck the review! I will find this one out else I won't be able to sleep!

He was in deep brainstorming when Yangyang messaged him, "Ge, need ur full name rn hurry, am answering a slam book." This annoying kid. But he still browsed his note and copied his full name just because it's too long and he's too lazy to type a 26-letter name. And since he was too occupied and immersed in trying to solve the wifi password mystery, he accidentally pasted his name to the password box and entered it.
