Phryne Fisher dangled.
Jack had begun to notice that shortly after he met her, but the extent to which she dangled had taken him some time more. Her earrings dangled and the hems of her clothing often dangled. That was obvious. That was what he had noticed first. More than that, though, her life dangled. It (and she) dangled in front of him a world of possibilities -- of adventure and love, of laughter and challenge, of belonging and family.
Everything about her dangled, from her clothes to her jewelry to her personality, and he wouldn’t have it any other way.
