Chapter Text
The light of the moon glistened in the dorm's living room. Students lounged about the couch. Some had picked themselves off the cushions to return to their rooms. Others only got comfortable.
It wasn't unusual for students to stay up late conversing with each other. Rather, it was fairly common. As a class now in their third year, they had grown to confide in eachother. They leaned on each other to grow. And now, in just a few months, they would be graduating from UA High School.
Of course, they would have fun in the time they had left.
"Hey Guys!" Kaminari's voice rang out as he rushed into the living room, Shinsou trailing not far behind him.
"Hey man, what's up?" Kirishima was the first to respond.
"I've got a challenge for everyone. If you want to join anyway." Immediately, this was met with skepticism.
"The last "challenge" you gave us ended up in a broken door," Sero reminded Kaminari.
"Hey! That wasn't my fault! Bakugou's gotta learn how to control his temper," Kaminari complained swiftly, shifting the blame of Sero's accusation.
"What was that, Dunce Face!?" Bakugou snapped, explosive pops going off on his raised hand.
"See?" Kaminari gestured in emphasis.
"I guess you have a point. What's the challenge anyway?" Sero asked, more than a little curious by now.
"For one week, we pair off into groups of 4," Kaminari started, and so far everyone was still fairly willing to play along.
"And we swap partners!" Kaminari finished with perhaps a little too much enthusiasm. The rest of Class 1-A, on the other hand, were less than optimistic.
"You want us to.. switch partners?" Yaoyorozu clarified, the first to speak up. Her voice rang hesitant as she wondered if she heard Kaminari correctly.
"Geez, don't try and join all at once," Kaminari huffed. Clearly, he had a much different reaction planned out in his head. So to see the class's reaction now left him disappointed.
"I dunno bro, it sounds like some people could get hurt. I mean," Kirishima struggled to find the words as he glanced to Bakugou.
"You're asking us to date other people for a week, and you expect us to agree?" Bakugou asked bluntly, speaking the class's thoughts perfectly. Though, likely less curt.
"It's only a week, right? And it's not like we don't all know eachother. We're closer than anyone on campus!" Kaminari reasoned.
"I guess I could understand where you're coming from, but.. I don't know. Where did you get this idea anyhow?" Midoriya asked. He genuinely tried to understand Kaminari's reasoning. Even more, the appeal to actually participating.
This time, however, Shinsou piped up. The subtly smirk in his expression was immediate cause for alarm. "Hey, Midoriya?"
Despite himself, Midoriya responded. "Yes?-"
Instantly, Shinsou's quirk took affect over Midoriya.
"Would you mind dating "Kacchan" for a week?" Shinsou asked, using the childhood name to further the impact of the question.
Unable to control his own body, the answer came out instantly. "No, I wouldn't mind." Shinsou chuckled as he cut off his quirk, leaving behind a highly embarrassed, highly ashamed Midoriya.
Bakugou looked toward Midoriya incredulously. "The hell, Deku!?" Rather than try and explain himself, Midoriya only turned away.
"Everyone has their little secrets. If you don't, you have nothing to loose. Decide not to join? Well, you won't need my quirk to figure that out," Shinsou chuckled. And now, the stakes of the challenge had risen tenfold.
"Motherfucker," Bakugou sneered. Through the use of his quirk, Shinsou had made it to where not joining the challenge was no longer a valid option.
"No pressure though! I'll ask again tomorrow morning. But it's getting late, and I'm tired," Kaminari grinned triumphantly. In the aspects he lacked, Shinsou made up for perfectly. He was such a good boyfriend.
Of course, everyone else was currently debating Shinsou likness as it revolved around Kaminari.
Though, above all, they were out weighing the pros and cons of joining this little challenge. And it seemed the pros were enough to dragged a few couples on board.
