Leave Your Cold Hands to Me

Chapter Text

"Don't you have an alpha friend that needs a maid or something?" Seonghwa frowned. He sat on the couch, swallowing a bit of his sweet coffee. He really couldn't keep living off his friends' money anymore.

"Didn't Maddox mention he knew someone that needed someone to do housework, love?" San asked Wooyoung from the kitchen. Seonghwa beamed at San's words, if there was something Seonghwa could do it was cook and clean. He'd been looking for a part-time job for months now, but wherever he applied,he was just never good enough to be hired.

But he was confident he could get a job as some kind of maid. He was the reason Wooyoung and San's apartment was spotless; it was a task that didn't require much mental effort and he strongly appreciated it after studying physics or mathematics.

"He definitely mentioned something. I'll call him, give me a second," Woo said, going into his and San's room to call Maddox and closing the door behind him.

Hwa rested his head against the couch. Was he really about to get a job through his friends? He had been living in their apartment for months now, and they still found new ways to keep helping. Seonghwa tilted his head, feeling like an absolute burden.

"How does Wooyoung know everyone?" Hwa asked, readjusting himself on the couch, looking through the huge living room window that led to a balcony. It was a clear day with no clouds in the sky. It had been snowing a lot lately, so Hwa was happy to see the blue of the sky; it relaxed him a bit.

"He's an extrovert that works at a coffee shop, I think he knows the whole city." San laughed at his own joke, releasing warm bonfire and sandalwood pheromones, one of three scents that was part of their home.

"San, do you think the guy is nice?" Hwa asked, drinking more of his sweet coffee. What if Maddox's friend was a rude alpha? Seonghwa really didn't want to work for someone like that, but he would if it meant that he could pay his friends back.

"If he's Maddox’s friend then there's nothing for you to worry about," San smiled, pouring himself the coffee he had been making, "He knows a lot of different people but he isn't friends with many; his friend is chill, for sure."

"San was right!" Wooyoung bursted into the room, exuding excitement. Seonghwa turned his head towards him. "Maddox has an alpha friend that is a producer. I think he's famous, or at least produces for famous groups. He works a lot. " Wooyoung talked so fast Seonghwa had a bit of trouble taking in all the new information. But a famous alpha? Hwa hoped he didn't have much of an ego. "He wants someone to cook meals and clean his house."

"So when do you want to start?" Wooyoung asked with a beaming smile.

"Wait. Don't I have to be interviewed first?" Hwa asked, shaking his head and raising an eyebrow in question.

"I vouched for your skills. Give Maddox a few days and you can probably start working soon." Wooyoung walked over to San, stealing his coffee cup and started drinking from it.

"Hey, that was for me!"

"Not anymore," Wooyoung chuckled.

San rolled his eyes and walked to the couch, sitting next to Seonghwa. "I can't with him."

"That makes both of us," Seonghwa giggled, leaning his head on San’s shoulder.

~

"Hey, Hwa!" Seonghwa heard Yunho call out from the back of the almost empty classroom.

"Hmm?" Seonghwa asked curiously, turning towards his classmate as he packed up his things.

"I wanna go grab a coffee, you wanna join me?" Yunho asked, walking up to him. Seonghwa pondered a bit on the question, he didn't have to study much that afternoon.

"Sure, Wooyoung's cafe?" Hwa asked as they left the classroom.

"Of course! I don't know what Wooyoung does to the damn coffee but it just tastes so much better than other places!"

Hwa laughed at Yunho's excitement as they were greeted by the cold outside the building. Hwa shivered, immediately buttoning up his heavy coat and tightening the scarf around his neck.

"Do you want to run to the cafe? See who gets there first?" Yunho asked, bumping their shoulders.

"Of course not! It's a twenty minute walk, plus I don't think my body could handle it." Seonghwa had already had to walk from one side of the campus to the other during various times that morning to get to his classes. There was no way he was running, he felt so tired already.

"Poor Seonghwa, always so fragile." Seonghwa leaned over, nipping at Yunho's arm through his coat as soon as Yunho's joke came out of his mouth. The taller man held his arm, exaggeratedly complaining from pain. Seonghwa smirked, knowing he hadn’t hurt the other at all.

"That's what you get for being a pain in the ass," Seonghwa laughed.

"You love me," Yunho said, scruffling Seonghwa's head and messing up his beanie.

"Sadly I do," Hwa replied as he opened the cafe's door and held it for Yunho. However, Yunho just stood there smiling at Seonghwa.

"Come on, it's cold out here. Go on in, Princess," Seonghwa said. Yunho giggled as he followed Hwa's order. Seonghwa followed behind him.

The cafe was much warmer than outside, both men removing their winter clothes. The cafe had a very comforting aura to it. The counters were made of a rich brown wood, the same as the walls, the chairs and the tables. The stone over the counter had very pastel tones fitting well with the decorations around the bagged coffee beans and succulents on the shelves. A very unique place that Seonghwa had a lot of good memories in, even if they were all quite recent.

Both Seonghwa and Yunho stood in line to order. "Do you want a coffee?" Yunho asked and Hwa shook his head. " Or maybe a strawberry cake?" Yunho asked, ruffling Hwa's pink hair.

"What’s gotten into you, today? You keep messing my hair up," Seonghwa pouted, trying to fix his hairstyle. "And I don't want anything."

"Pink suits you," Yunho giggled.

They waited in silence as a curious Seonghwa listened to the conversation Wooyoung was having with the man in front of them.

"Strawberry cheesecake and a black coffee," the tall, brown-haired man ordered with a tired tone to his voice.

"Who even eats a cheesecake in this weather?" Hwa whispered to Yunho. Yunho grinned at his question.

“You’re such a mom,” Yunho chuckled, shaking his head.

"Someone that really fucking craves a damn cheesecake," the tall man snapped at Seonghwa over his shoulder. Hwa froze as his heartbeat quickened. His joke had only been meant for Yunho's ears. He hadn’t meant to offend the man. The man towered over Seonghwa in height and his shoulders were much broader. Seonghwa could smell a mix of anger and tiredness coming from the man's scent. Even tired, his pheromones were much more powerful than Hwa's. He smelled of burnt eucalyptus and salt, definitely an alpha, and an angry one. Hwa hadn't felt so small in a very long time.

"So- sorry," the omega whispered with his head down, his shoulders tensed. Yunho placed a hand on Hwa's waist, rubbing it. Hwa's omega really appreciated the gesture.

Wooyoung handed the alpha his order as the tall man huffed and paid for it.

"Can't believe I gotta deal with this shit after a long day of work," The brown haired alpha walked away, sitting at one of the tables close to the entrance of the cafe. And that's when Seonghwa felt his heart sink, he felt a huge wave of sadness from his omega as he fought to hold the tears that wanted so desperately to fall down his eyes.

"What the hell just happened?" Wooyoung asked, jerking his chin towards the disgruntled alpha, as Seonghwa and Yunho walked to the counter.

"I said something when I should have kept my mouth shut," Seonghwa said, reaching for the tissues in his pocket.

"Don't say it like that, '' Yunho pouted, releasing a small amount of comforting pheromones and kissing Hwa's head as he pulled him by his waist. "Seonghwa just told me a little joke. That alpha overreacted. God, I hate alphas." Seonghwa playfully punched Yunho's arm. He rested his head against the tall omega's shoulder as heat built up in his chest, letting his tears fall.

"A black coffee, a strawberry cake and an extra sweet cappuccino, please. " Yunho said to Wooyoung.

Seonghwa quickly wiped his eyes before looking up to Yunho. "I told you I didn't want anything!" He had done a terrible job: Yunho clearly saw how red and teary his eyes were.

"I know that, but I know you, too. You deserve a treat, ok?" Yunho said, ruffling Hwa's hair, again. This time Hwa didn't bother to fix it, even smiling at the show of affection.

"Thank you," Seonghwa said, getting on his tiptoes to kiss his friend's cheek. Yunho was always so kind to him, Hwa was lucky to have him as his friend.

"You're welcome," Yunho replied, resting his head against Seonghwa's.

Hwa couldn't stop thinking about the encounter with the alpha as they sat at a table near the counter. He took a bite from the strawberry cake as his mind replayed the alpha's harsh words. More than anything else, he couldn't stop recalling his bitter tone of voice. His inner omega felt so sad. He mindlessly drank his cappuccino, glancing at the alpha over his shoulder. Why did his omega care so much? Why did he feel the need to cry?

Seonghwa jumped when he felt cold fingers over his hand. "Hyung, I can smell your sadness from here." Yunho said in the softest tone of voice.

"I can't help it, I… " Hwa pondered a bit. He ran his fingers through his hair as he sighed and finally understood his inner omega. That tone of voice was the same as his dad's.

"He sounded like my dad, when I told him I wanted to get an astronomy degree." Seonghwa swallowed as his eyes started to water again. "He told me I would be a use-useless omega, that no-no one wants an omega that-that works in that field," Hwa felt Yunho holding his hand firmly as Hwa looked away from his friend. He really wanted to be strong. He really didn’t want to cry. "He said it was a disgrace to tell him that after a long day of work."

Yunho squeezed Hwa’s hand. The angry alpha had said those same words. Yunho gently ran his thumb over the back of the pink-haired omega’s knuckles in an attempt to soothe him. But still, the tears started to fall once more and Seonghwa sobbed silently, doing his best to control his scent to not bother the other people in the cafe.

"I'm so overly sensitive, why am I even feeling like this over a stranger's words?" Hwa reached for more tissues, blowing his nose in one of them and trying to clean his face as best as he could.

"Don't say that. Your feelings are so valid, hyung," Yunho said, looking him in the eyes even though Seonghwa avoided his gaze. "You’ve been through a lot. You've made an enormous effort to be where you are now and it's normal to get upset over this kind of thing." Seonghwa finally locked his eyes with Yunho’s.

"Thank you, Yunho." Seonghwa smiled. "You have no idea how much our friendship means to me, " intertwining his fingers with his best friend’s.

"Oh, I almost forgot. I have something I wanted to tell you," Seonghwa said before he took a bite from the cake. "Wooyoung got me a job. Well, it's still not certain, but likely. I'll be doing housework for a music producer, cooking meals and cleaning after classes."

"I'm so happy for you! Congratulations! I know how you've been stressed about getting a job," Yunho said, squeezing Hwa's hand.

"Thank you. Yeah, finally. I really want to pay Wooyoung and San back for everything they have done for me." Hwa smiled softly, thinking about how his friends took him in when he told them he needed a place to stay. "Plus, all of my savings will be gone soon because of tuition fees."

"And with an income you can finally buy that dress you haven't shut up about!" Yunho smirked. Seonghwa was really fond of dressing in a more feminine way from time to time, and had been eyeing an expensive spring dress for a while now. It was a long dress that had the most beautiful design Hwa had ever seen. It was pink at the top and dark blue at the bottom, forming a gorgeous gradient. As if that wasn't enough, little white dots spread across it, being more concentrated in the bottom and almost none could be seen at the top of it. It looked like the sky at sunset, and Seonghwa had never been more enamoured with a piece of clothing.

"Yeah, maybe," Seonghwa smiled.

~

Seonghwa sighed as he and Yunho left the quantum mechanics classroom and headed towards the student canteen. “Do you know what’s for lunch today?” Yunho asked as Seonghwa repeated some of the teacher’s words in his head, trying to understand them.

“Chicken, I think?” Seonghwa answered, not paying much attention.

Seonghwa stepped in the canteen with his friend following behind him. As he walked over the white tiles he was so distracted that he almost ran into an alpha. Yunho grabbed him by his arm to keep him from falling on the other student. “Are you alright, hyung?” Yunho asked, his brow furrowed in worry as they made their way to the queue to get their share of food.

“Yeah, I just got distracted there, thanks for helping,” The pink-haired omega smiled at Yunho, putting on a facade that he hoped would fool his best friend. But Yunho knew him better than that. However, he didn’t bring it up until they were both at their chosen table.

“Spit it out,” Yunho said, eating a bit of kimchi.

Seonghwa tilted his head with a frown, trying to look confused. “What are you talking about?”

“You’re upset about something. Spit. It. Out.” Yunho said. And he was right, Seonghwa thought. Why was he even hiding it from his best friend?

“Today, during quantum mechanics, I didn’t understand a single thing the teacher was saying,” Hwa sighed, “Not a single thing. And it's getting harder with every class.”

“You literally have the best grades in the class. So you didn’t get it today, you’ll get it next time. Everyone has bad days.”

“No, I won’t. This didn’t happen just today. And I’ve been studying at home and I still don’t get it!” Seonghwa almost yelled. “I’m so useless,” he whispered, more to himself than to Yunho.

“Don’t you dare say that about yourself, Hwa!” Yunho said angrily.

“It’s true! I can’t even understand quantum mechanics, for fuck’s sake! I left my parents’ house to pursue my passion for astronomy! To study this! And I’m miserably failing! I should have stayed with them and been a secretary just like they wanted.” Seonghwa ran his fingers through his hair, sighing.

“Don’t you dare lie to yourself, Seonghwa! You were living in a toxic household! You hated being there, you fucking hated the degree they made you take!” Yunho inhaled, trying to calm his heavy breathing. “And you’re not useless! You’re just repeating the lies your parents told you countless times,” Yunho said more softly.

“Yun…” Yunho was right, and Seonghwa knew that.

“Tell me, where would I be if it wasn’t for you?” Yunho asked, throwing him a soft smile. “You’re one of the reasons I'm still standing, Seonghwa.” Yunho said, holding Hwa’s hand over the table and caressing the pink-haired omega’s knuckles with his thumb.

“I really don’t do much, Yunho. But it makes me happy that my efforts make a difference.”

“But you do! You do so much! You cook for me, talk to and listen to me… you've done  that since I presented. And I can’t thank you enough.” Yunho sighed, looking Hwa in the eyes. “Look, you’re not useless. I know your parents told you that many times. But you’re not. You’re the sweetest omega I have ever met. And San, Jongho and Wooyoung would agree with me if they were here. You deserve your place on earth as much as anyone else, okay?”

Seonghwa nodded at Yunho’s words, smiling. The smaller omega knew that all those words had come from Yunho’s heart.

Yunho squeezed Seonghwa’s hand once more, and let go of it. “I gotta go shopping today, how about you go with me and we study together afterwards? I happened to understand some of the stuff we talked about in class. Sound good?”

“Sounds great,” Seonghwa nodded.

They finished their lunch and headed to the shopping mall. Yunho dared Seonghwa for a run to the front door of the mall when they were halfway there, and Hwa just started running without replying. They laughed as they ran and Yunho quickly caught up, winning the race.

”It’s not fair! Your legs are longer!” Seonghwa playfully complained, almost out of breath.

“I would have let you win if you didn’t cheat!” Yunho replied, heading to a clothing store. He picked a beige jacket from the outwear section and announced to Seonghwa that their shopping date was done.

“What? No! Let’s check out the other stores!” Hwa pleaded, with shiny eyes.

“But you’re broke and I’m not buying anything else!”

“I know! That’s not the point, I wanna check out the pretty clothes!” Seonghwa pouted, and Yunho couldn’t resist when his hyung did that, so he just nodded as Seonghwa pulled him happily into a store full of colourful clothing.

For a couple hours, Seonghwa tried on skirts, dresses, trousers, jackets… anything he found pretty. Yunho took lots of photos of his hyung, happily engaging in his activities.

“What do you think about this one?” Hwa asked as he looked at himself in the mirror, his soft features showing his happiness through a beaming smile. He was dressed in a black pleated skirt that reached the middle of his thigh. It went perfectly with his pink turtleneck and black boots.

“Oh my god,” Yunho exclaimed with wide eyes and mouth slightly open from his sitting position on a random chair inside the store.

Seonghwa glanced down at the outfit and then back up at Yunho. “You don’t like it?” Hwa tilted his head, sulking.

“I love it. You look absolutely gorgeous,” Yunho marvelled at his friend. “It goes so well with your hair, you look so cute, Hwa.” Yunho grinned. “You know what? I’m buying it.”

“You don’t have to! Really, it’s fine!”

“But I’m going to. You look gorgeous and I know it will make you happy. Let’s buy it, grab a coffee and then head to your house. And don’t you dare take a single cent out of your wallet.” Yunho narrowed his eyes, as if threatening Hwa. “Got it?” He asked, lifting his eyebrows.

Seonghwa nodded but didn’t immediately change. “What about bubble tea instead?” He asked, putting on the cutest pout he could muster. Adding to the adorableness, he couldn’t help but rock back and forth slightly, feeling the fabric of the skirt brushing up against his legs.

“You know I can’t resist you when you do that!” Yunho complained, leaning onto the chair as Seonghwa kept the same expression on his face. “Fine, I’ll get you bubble tea,” Yunho sighed, completely defeated.

“Yay!” Seonghwa yelled happily as he entered the changing room.

Later, they found themselves sitting on Seonghwa’s bed surrounded by his plushies, with a quantum mechanics book on Yunho’s lap. The taller was busily explaining to his hyung what he had understood from the lesson they had had earlier that day. Seonghwa smiled to himself, feeling better. He was so glad he had opened up to Yunho. It always went well, they had fun, enjoyed themselves and then solved whatever problem they had. He didn’t understand why he was still fearful of doing it sometimes.

“Are you listening to me?” Yunho asked, waving his hand in front of Seonghwa’s eyes.

Hwa jumped up at the sudden motion. “Sorry, got distracted,” he smiled timidly.

“It’s the third time now,” Yunho exhaled, “Anyways, I need a bathroom break. Be right back.”

Yunho was right. Recently Hwa got distracted a lot, and most of the time, it was the alpha from the coffee shop that kept haunting his thoughts. Seonghwa really regretted his dumb remark towards the man and it was weighing heavily on his conscience. Hwa hoped to meet him again so he could give the alpha a proper apology.

His salty scent had really stuck with the omega too. Hwa realised that he actually missed that scent. Could it be that he missed the grumpy alpha too?

“I’m back!” Yunho yelled overly excited, coming into Hwa’s room.

“I’m glad you didn’t drown in the toilet,” Seonghwa chuckled.

~

Pop music echoed in the apartment as Seonghwa danced and prepared dinner in the kitchen. He had decided to make bibimbap for the three of them. San was working a late shift at the office as he often did, and Wooyoung usually did the afternoon shifts at the cafe since he hated waking up early. San had to practically pull his groaning boyfriend out of bed every day.

They had ordered takeaway way too many times lately, too tired to put their hands to work in the kitchen. Today, Hwa was having none of it. Both Wooyoung and San were about to get home and the vegetables and rice were almost cooked, as was the meat,s o Seonghwa started frying the three eggs.

In the silence between two songs, Hwa heard the clinking of keys from the other side of the front door and soon enough it was being opened slowly by a tired Wooyoung.

“Hey,” Seonghwa said, turning down the volume on his phone and stirring the rice. Wooyoung looked at him with huge bags under his eyes. “Bad day?” Seonghwa asked, tilting his head. It wasn’t very common to see Woo like this.

“The day was beautiful, the problem was the people,” Wooyoung sighed, cracking a smile at his own joke. He set his keys down and put on his slippers. “Somehow all the rude clients decided to go to the cafe today,” he frowned.

Seonghwa heard Wooyoung inhaling the homemade scent emerging from his cooking. “What are you preparing, sweetie?” Wooyoung smiled tiredly, walking towards Seonghwa.

“Bibimbap,” he grinned, dividing the rice onto three plates, proceeding to do the same with the vegetables. San would soon be there and he was sure the homemade food would cheer Wooyoung up.

“Oh my god! I’ve been meaning to prepare it for a while,” Wooyoung said as he hugged Seonghwa from behind, brushing his fingers against the furry white sweater Hwa was wearing. Seonghwa breathed in Wooyoung's scent as it embraced him, detecting the tiredness from his soft mix of cinnamon and apples. “Thanks, Hwa. Did you have a good day?”

“Yeah, me and Yunho went shopping after classes, he needed new outerwear, and then we studied together for about two hours,” Seonghwa said as he divided the meat onto the plates.

“So that’s why it smells like chocolate in here,” Wooyong chuckled. “I’ll set the table.” The front door opened again and a strong comforting scent of sandalwood spread into the living room and kitchen as a cheerful San entered and took off his shoes.

“Oh my god. Is that bibimbap? Seonghwa, it smells amazing!” San ran up to Seonghwa looking over the taller man’s shoulders to the food, tilting his head.

“Thank you, and it’s about to be served so get your pretty ass on a chair,” Seonghwa said, bringing the plates to the table where Wooyoung was already seated.

San brought water to the table and both he and Seonghwa sat at the table that could easily fit six people comfortably. Sadly, there were never more than four people around the table at once, Hwa thought while he munched his food. One of the things he most wanted was to cook meals and eat them surrounded by the people he loved the most, who currently were no more than three people. He really aspired to have a big family someday.

They were all stuffing their faces full of food, looking like adorable hungry squirrels. “This is so good,” San groaned. They ate with only a few words exchanged between them, as they were all starving, and with Hwa’s pop music playing in the background.

“Hwa,” Wooyoung called after he’d finished what was in his mouth. Hwa looked at him with big doe eyes and full cheeks. “Have I told you when you’re meeting Maddox?” Seonghwa shook his head and swallowed. “Today is Friday, right? In a week, after you’re done with your classes, you’re going with him to his friend’s house. The alpha will show you around his apartment and tell you what he would like for you to do around the house. You'll probably also have to take care of his pups.”

Hwa’s omega cooed at that and his eyes twinkled. He loved pups; he would have his own someday, and he really enjoyed any amount of time he spent around children. “And you’ll also be discussing how much money you’re getting from working there, sound good?” Seonghwa nodded. He was really excited to say the least.

During the rest of dinner, his omega couldn’t stop thinking about the puppies as he felt a warmth in his chest. He imagined himself spending time with the children. How many were there? They could bake cookies together! And maybe even a cake, surely the alpha wouldn’t have problems with that. Seonghwa would make sure everything went smoothly, no pups would be allowed close to the oven. Were the pups even old enough for those activities?

“Hwa, can we nest?” Woo asked quietly, pulling Hwa out of his thoughts.

“Of course, but why?” Seonghwa asked, a bit disoriented from having his thoughts interrupted.

“My day was really bad,” Wooyoung frowned, leaning his head on Hwa’s shoulder before eating the last of his bibimbap, “Can we also watch a movie?”

“Sure, and we’ll make San carry the blankets and pillows for us and everything,” Hwa said jokingly, trying to cheer his friend up. Hwa hated to see one of his dearest friends so upset. Wooyoung laughed and Seonghwa smiled, knowing he was the cause of it.

“Hey, don’t I have a say in it?” San said, playfully outraged.

“Of course not. We got an alpha living with us for this kind of thing,” Seonghwa laughed, sticking his tongue out.

“You know what? Sometimes you’re as much of a menace as Wooyoung is!” San pretended to frown, wagging a finger at the two of them as he finished his meal. Then for a moment, he looked deep in thought as if uncertain of his next words, looking a bit puzzled. “Can I join you guys?” he pouted.

“Of course you can, baby,” Wooyoung answered. “Even if you didn’t want to, I’d make you join us.” Wooyoung got up from his seat and placed a soft kiss on San’s lips. “I love you.”

“You two are adorable, but not in front of my face, please,” Hwa rolled his eyes. “I’ll clean up, you two prepare the blankets and pillows.” Wooyoung jumped up at Hwa’s words. He ran towards his and San’s room where they kept their nesting materials. San followed behind him shaking his head from side to side, smiling.

Hwa put the plates and cutlery in the dishwasher, cleaning up both the counter and the table. San and Wooyoung brought as many things as they could carry in their arms. Wooyoung put the pillows on the ground and started preparing and arranging the blankets San had carried, ordering him around.

As soon as Seonghwa finished his task, he went to his own room grabbing the plushies carefully placed on his bed and armchair and brought a few to the living room. San beamed when he glanced at Hwa. San loved plushies, he really didn’t care anymore if it wasn’t “alpha enough.” His lover and his friend had taken a long time to finally convice San that it was okay, leaving the stereotypes his parents forced onto him behind. His friends—no, his chosen family—had helped him accept himself.

“What movie are we watching?” Seonghwa asked, placing a few plushies around their nest. Hwa noticed San grabbing the cat one carefully, holding it in a protective embrace as if the plushie was his little precious child and he smiled fondly at the alpha.

“I was thinking about ‘How to Train your Dragon’?'' Wooyoung said mindlessly, too concentrated on rearranging the same pillow for the third time.

“But I always cry during that one!” Seonghwa protested playfully.

“You cry with almost every movie we watch, what’s your point?” Wooyoung giggled, followed by a laugh from Seonghwa.

“Fine, but I’m going to get my night fury plushie then,” Seonghwa huffed before he ran up to his room. He returned with the plushie and tissues. Wooyoung and San were already cuddled up, San’s arm around Woo’s waist as the smaller omega started the movie with the remote. Hwa sat beside Wooyoung, leaning his head on Woo’s while he squished the night fury plushie in his arms.

“Do you want to talk about your day before the movie starts?” San asked, looking down at Wooyoung.

“Nah, I just wanna enjoy my time with both of you,” he smiled.

They watched the movie and by the end of it Wooyoung and San were both sound asleep as Seonghwa cried his eyes out. After drying his eyes with the tissues, he turned off the TV and woke up his friends telling them to go to bed. Wooyoung was fully against that idea, pushing Seonghwa away, so he covered them with a blanket and said goodnight to both of them, placing a kiss on each of their foreheads.

Seonghwa fell asleep thinking about his little family. How he was so happy to find them. Wooyoung, San and Yunho had been the best thing that had ever happened to him, and he couldn’t be more thankful for them, and the little moments they shared.

I hope you can see my writing flourish and get better as this fanfic goes on. I’m planning on it being around 50k words, but I also have already outlined 11 chapters. So we'll see (I'm terrified it might end up being around 100k, this is my first long fic). I finished up the second chapter too and now it just has to go through the two rounds of beta reading!

Now I have questions for you guys! First, should I include Maddox in the character tags? I believe his role is really minor in this fic so I’m not sure. And if you think there's more tags I should add, tell me! It's only my second time doing this uwu

And second, what do you think will happen next? Do you already have any theories?
