The Sweetest Gift

Summary:

You are no Jedi, nor an important politician, or anyone well known. Nope, you're just a waitress at a diner. Funny enough though, it seemed that a certain regular took an eye to you, and one thing lead to another and now you have a Jedi Knight that dotes over you whenever he can.

Chapter 1: Your Knight/His Love

Summary:

Obi-Wan comes to visit after he returns back to Coruscant and you two share a calm moment.

Chapter Text

The air on Coruscant, despite all outdoor surroundings whether be in the air or on the ground being crowded and congested, was cool and breezy.

Standing on your balcony, you took in the sites and smells of the city.

You were aching from work, as Dex really put you to it today, busy days really are the worst.

You stretched and turned to go back inside, until you heard;

"Hello there."

You smiled and turned back around, running up and crashing into him with a hug.

Slightly startled but laughing, Obi-Wan clambered one hand to hold himself against the railing of the balcony and the other around your form, rubbing the nape of your neck ever so affectionately with his thumb and index finger, just like always.

"I missed you," you mumbled into his chest, getting your fingers lost in his strawberry blonde (or was it more copper? ginger seemed like too broad of a term) locks.

"I can tell."

He walked you away from the balcony so he could wrap his other arm around you, this one going towards your waist.

The two of you held on to the other tightly, as if that in one would let go the other would disappear entirely, and the both of you knew damn well that's how it could be.

Your dear Jedi Knight lived a dangerous life, traveling across the galaxy on the regular keep peace alongside his Padawan.

This was the first time you had seen him this month, being worried sick during his absence.

You took his hand and sat him onto the couch of your living room, and he removed his cloak and utility belt to relax, placing both on the table.

The both of you stared at each other before either of you could come up with anything to say, instead you asked, "Want some caf?"

He laughed, pulling you in by your head with his large hand and kissing your forehead, "Sure, Love."

Obi-Wan watched as you got up and made your way to the kitchen that was connected to your living room, your flowy dress following behind.

He always liked the way it looked on you, the floral print was a nice look for you, and though when he first met you your hair was kept up at the diner, the way that your hair was down and free whenever home was always a lovely sight to him.

Obi-Wan smiled as you meticulously prepared the caf exactly the way he likes, humming as you did so, and brought him the ceramic mug of steaming liquid.

You sat back down next to him as he took a sip, and giggled when you saw the droplets in his mustache.

"Perfect," he sighed, "just like you."

He put his arm around you, pulling you close and you rested your head on his chest.

"Was it dangerous?" You asked

"Oh, Very."

Your throat tightened, "are you okay??"

Obi-Wan put his hand on your cheek, "Now that I'm here with you, love."

Ever the flirt.

"I worry about you, you know."

"I know, and I worry for you as well."

You tilted your head, “me? why?”

He sighed, tightening his grip around you, “Coruscant is a dangerous place, I know you know this, but you’re…precious to me, and if anything ever happened to you again…” he trailed off.

“Nothing will.”

You chewed on your inner cheek as unwanted memories flashed through your mind.

“I’ve already lost too many loved ones,” And by this you knew Obi-Wan was talking about his former master, “but I will not let that happen to you.”

You took the mug from his other hand and set it onto the table, then putting your hands on his cheeks, “My knight..”

Obi-Wan smiled warmly, and pressed his lips onto yours, softly, and spoke from them.

“My love.”
