Work Text:
The bed stirred, a warm and slender body drawing closer and closer to you. You were slowly waking up, the light of the room stinging your eyes. You yawned and sat up, stretching carefully to not wake up your boyfriend who was sleeping peacefully beside you. You looked down at him and grinned, letting your hand graze over his bare back. You traced his muscles with your finger and eyed the scratch marks you had left from the night before. With a faint blush on your cheeks, you leaned down to give him a kiss on the shoulder.
As you were getting up, however, you heard him groan and felt his hand pull yours. You wondered if he was still sleeping, due to how quickly he reacted to your movement, so you leaned over him to check. His chest rose and fell with every breath he took, his eyes were shut; his eyelashes rested delicately. You wanted to lean down and kiss him once more, but didn’t want to risk waking him up.
You tried to get out of bed once more, only to have him pull you back again, except this time he pulled more, making you land on top of him. His laugh rang around the room as he held you in his arms.
“Gotcha, babe!” He gave you a stupid and endearing grin.
“And here I was, being so kind to let you rest, maybe next time I should just shake you awake,” you jabbed at him.
“Maybe I am still sleeping! Because I see an angel~”
“Shut up,” you leaned down and captured his lips with yours. He was smiling again when he lifted you up and flipped you onto your back, getting on top of you. Your hands roamed around his back as you made out. His lips were warm and soft, creating the sensation of heaven on yours. As you were distracted, he drew out his tongue and licked all the way up your cheek.
“Gross!” You yelped, wiping your cheek and pushing him off playfully.
“We just exchanged so much saliva and you’re worried about your cheek? I’m hurt!” He chuckled as he now laid on his back beside you.
“I’ll get you back for that, just you wait.”
You got up and walked over to go make breakfast. It had been years since Saeyoung stopped working for the agency, but you still wanted him to get as much rest as he can. He always insisted on helping you clean the house and do other domestic tasks that he had never done in his life. He always had Vanderwood doing those things for him so he could focus on work, but now he knew he needed to help you too.
At first, his messy way of living was a huge problem for you. Yet, as time went by, Saeyoung learned to clean up after himself and help around. When he started washing dishes, you would notice they were still dirty, but you couldn’t blame him. He got better at it eventually, he handled the dishes with such precision that you wondered if he was an award winning dishwasher in his past life. He was incredibly good with his hands, in far more ways than one.
You pulled the cold eggs out of the fridge, looking around and noticing that it was mostly empty besides a few cans of Dr Pepper. You heard footsteps approaching as you took the pancake mix out of the pantry. Normally, Saeyoung was pretty discreet and quiet when he sneaked up behind you; seeing as he worked with the agency for so long. But, as soon as you fell in love with him, it was nearly impossible not to notice him when he was around. His arms wrapped around your waist and his lips came up to your neck.
“Mmm… Pancakes?”
“Great observation, babe,” you giggled before turning your head and pecking his lips. As your lips parted from his, his mouth followed yours subconsciously.
“I’m craving something a little sweeter than pancakes,” he whispered into your ear.
“Someone’s got such a sweet tooth this morning,” you chuckled as you began mixing the ingredients into a bowl you had taken out. His chin rested on your shoulder as he watched you. You took the bait and asked, “What could possibly be sweeter than pancakes, my love?”
“You, of course, my dear~”
You could just feel his grin without seeing it. He was always so cheesy, you wanted to pin him to the ground and kiss him endlessly.
“Maybe if you’re a good boy and set up the pan with some butter.”
Saeyoung loved sweet things, it almost made your teeth hurt to see how much syrup he put on his pancakes. Yet, it was just another endearing trait of his. Your heart always squeezed tightly when you saw him pour that ridiculous amount of sugar on his breakfast.
“Babe, did you want whipped cream?” He asked you, getting up to go to the fridge.
“Is that even a question?”
He came back and before you could take the can from his hands, he reached over to your plate and removed the cap on the cream. His tongue poked out of the side of his mouth in concentration as he slowly pressed the tip and drew a heart on your pancakes. He looked up at you, his eyes sparkling.
“Ta-da!”
Even if you had been with him for ages, he still caught you off guard at times. You stood up and pulled him into a tight embrace, your arms wrapping around his neck. Saeyoung laughed as he hugged you back, his laughter vibrated through his body and sent warmth down to yours.
When you pulled away, you gave him a short but sweet kiss. When it ended, he looked at your face in surprise.
“Babe! You’ve got whipped cream on your face!”
“What? Where–”
“Right here!” He squeezed some onto your face and your jaw dropped in shock.
“Saeyoung!! I’m all sticky now,” you whined playfully. He smiled cheekily as he leaned forward and licked it off of your cheek. The action turned out to be a lot more sensual than he had intended it to be, as his tongue grazed your face slowly as he lapped up the sweet cream. Your cheeks heated up instantly, completely flustered.
When he saw how affected you were, his eyebrow raised. He looked at the can in his hands and shook it around for a bit, listening to see how much was left. He nodded before picking you up off your feet, carrying you bridal style.
“Oh my god,” you couldn’t contain your laughter as he carried you over to your bedroom. You exclaimed, “Wait, the pancakes! They’re gonna get cold!”
“That’s what the microwave is for, baby,” he replied as he shut the door behind you.
