Chapter Text
“There’s a little fire in your eyes. Perhaps I should be the one to ignite it.”
JANG HANSEOK / JANG JUNWOO
SEO YUL
now playing
↳ TRAP by Henry, Kyuhyun, and Taemin
Misuk ran her hands on the table of her office very slowly. It was as if she was looking for bumps that missed inspection. She continued absentmindedly moving her left palm, as she felt Seo Yul rubbing circles on her back.
The movement paused and they faced each other. They were so close, close enough for thoughts to be heard. But they were too used to it by now.
As Seo Yul's tie was grabbed, Misuk began peppering the man's neck with kisses. She chuckled lightly as a sound escaped his mouth a bit.
He is cute when he tries to be vulnerable.
Their lips continued to move in what seemed like a battle for the upper hand. Nothing behind the walls of the office mattered for now. The two were too preoccupied to care.
A knock on the door made Misuk slide down the table and button her blouse. Were they heard?
Her secretary stepped in the room, clutching an iPad and bowing as soon as she saw the two executives.
"I'm sorry for causing a disturbance, but both of you are requested in the executive meeting upstairs."
"I already submitted my report and asked permission to miss today's meeting. What's going on?" Misuk clicked her tongue.
"Your mother requested for you. Actually, even the client wants to see both 'Ms. Park' and 'Mr. Seo’ at the meeting."
Seo Yul nodded and checked his reflection using his phone camera. "Tell them we'll be there."
The secretary nodded and left the room immediately. However, it was like she left an odd footprint that made Misuk feel something in the pit of her stomach.
"Let's go?"
She heard him ask, but her mind remained elsewhere. She wanted to keep still inside her office instead of meeting whoever was upstairs.
"I still have a weird feeling about this." Her hand felt smaller clutching his. "It's like something catastrophic is waiting to happen. I don't even know who's upstairs though."
"I heard we're just meeting with a partner. We have nothing to worry about."
"They're finally here." The chairwoman announced to the rest of the board as she saw her daughter enter the room with the former prosecutor and current Director of Finance, Seo Yul.
Misuk bowed apologetically, avoiding any eye contact. She made her way to the portion of the table that is farthest from the door, leaving the seat beside her empty.
It could've been an uneventful meeting if the one seated across from her did not turn his seat. Perhaps she would not feel a lump in her throat if their so called partner decided to ditch the proceedings.
But he was there, in all his newfound glory.
Jang Hanseok.
