Chapter Text

The rain seemed to get heavier as Eddie left school to walk home, he didn’t mind. He liked the rain.
Something about the silence comforted him.

He took the forest route to get back home, he thought the big, droopy trees would cover him, like a huge umbrella.

The trees darkened the forest, quite a lot as his hike began.
He had to squint his eyes occasionally to make out where he was actually going.

Probably an hour into his trek, he began to hear running footsteps. Only for them to be growing louder and louder and louder…

CRASH.

Eddie felt himself being ran into, crashing into a tree, the wind being knocked out of him. “HEY! Watch where you are going-“

Eddie’s eyes met the girls, her face darkened by the shadows.
He could tell she had been crying by the way her mascara had ran down her face, making uneven, streaky lines.

Her hair clung to her face, matted and wet as she had been running through the forest.
She let out a little sob, shaking from the cold.
Her clothes were drenched and muddy, leaves and moss ruining her white shoes.

Eddie helped himself up and slowly reached out to her. “Are you okay? You seem pretty shaken up.”

The girl jumped back from his hand, whimpering to herself.
Eddie’s hand shot back to his side, “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you before… I-I’m, uh… Eddie?”

Her head shot up, her eyes wide.
“I-I-…” was all she could muster. Eddie noticed how her skin was covered in goose bumps, she looked like she was wearing some sort of pyjama shorts and a skimpy, loose top.
His eyes didn’t linger long as he met her eyes once more.

Her eyes were staring into his own, they were scared and alert.
Eddie had hoped he didn’t scare her too much, it’s not everyday you see, well… him, in the forest.
He supposed he looked quite scary to her.
He decided to make light of the situation.

“Not one for introductions then?” He laughed as the girl nodded, looking back down towards the ground.

Both of their attention was caught by a twig snapping in the distance, the footsteps behind coming much closer, “where are you, your little bitch?” Hissed a voice within the trees.

The girl began to panic, visibly alarmed by the new voice. “N-No…” she sniffled.

Eddie watched as an umbrella came closer to them.
He looked towards the girl, who was now looking straight ahead at the figure.

“Well, there you are.” The voice chuckled, it definitely belonged to a man.
The man reached towards the girl, “come on, thank the nice guy who kept you company in the scary forest…”

Eddie squinted his eyes, trying to decipher who the figure may be, before getting cut short.

“T-Thank you…” the girl whispered, sneaking past Eddie and slowly lacing her own hand with the man’s.

The man slowly covered them both with the umbrella as they began to trek off, back to what looked like a car’s headlights in the distance.

Eddie was too baffled to even comprehend what has actually just happened, so when his senses did kick in.
It was too late.
The girl was gone.
He heard the cars engine roar off, soon to be a gentle humming in the distance.

Who was that girl? Why was she out here? Where has Eddie seen her before?

He cussed himself out before carrying on his journey home, he could have been a hero.

——

You whimpered in the car, “I-I wasn’t running away, I-I was going to the store!” You argued, looking at your boyfriend.

He rolled his eyes and chuckled, his tongue clicking in his mouth. “Do you really expect me to believe that bullshit?”
His eyes met your own, the smirk still on his face. His eyes glaring.
His lip was bleeding, it ran down his chin and dyed the material of his top.
If looks could kill, you’d be dead… 6ft under.

He swerved the car, making you shriek loudly. The tires skidding on the wet ground.
You shot forward, your chest being crushed by the belt.

“Look, baby… I really don’t want to have to argue with you.” He cooed, switching off the engine of the car, “it could cause a crash, y’know?”

He laughed cruelly, his hand slipping around your shoulders. “So, how about just telling me what you were up to? And we will forget about…”

You looked at him as he tapped his bottom lip. “You sure did struggle a bit trying to get the door open, made me think you actually meant to hit me… but I know you would never do that… would you, dove?”

You bottom lip quivered as you shook your head, “n-no… I’m sorry. I-I didn’t mean to, I-I was just being stupid, I-“

He chuckled, “yeah, that’s all it was. You being stupid.” His “kind” demeanour disappeared suddenly as he grabbed a fistful of your hair, yanking you towards him.

You cried out, your hands trying to unhinge his tight grip.
He soon grabbed your face with his other free hand, his fingers squeezing your cheeks together, making your lips purse, “if you pull shit like that again… I’ll fucking kill you…”

Whimpering, you nodded. His grip slowly loosening around your hair. “You are mine.”
He warned.

Now both of his hands were off you, you were met with a harsh slap around your face.

You cheek stung as your cried out, your hands covering your face.
“Say it. Say you are mine!” He growled.

Looking forward, you saw the reflection of another car pulling up behind you. It’s horn blaring for you to move.

“Say it.”

The horn continued, the driver obviously getting antsy.

“I-I’m yours, Billy.” You whispered, your innocent, scared eyes meeting his own.

The smirk returned to Billy’s face as he began to start the engine back up, quickly pulling off as the night sky painted over you.

“Good girl.”
