I hate the shrink. The navy requires going after a mission to ' relieve the stress ', as if it will help at all. They just say the same stuff over and over ' oh, have you tried x medication? ' or ' how about another session next week?' like any of it helps. At least I get a month away from my post after my two weeks of therapy.
Me, Rooster, Hangman, Bob and Phoenix planned a getaway in Charleston, South Carolina so we can see the beach. Once we all bought our tickets and packed our bags, we carpooled to the airport in Rooster's jeep to avoid paying for more than one spot. TSA was a struggle,as always. After some overpriced airport food, we got to our gate and I sighed in relief, slumping into a chair.
" Oh come on cypher, you can't be this tired already ", Rooster sighed when I slumped into my chair.
Hangman sat next to me and pulled out a book, the name was ' the invisible life of Addie LaRue ', which I had read before.
" Oh, hangman, are you just now reading that book? ", I questioned while he flipped through the pages.
" Nope, I've read it a few times. It's one of my favorites. " He said while putting a small post it note on a page and closing it.
" Nice! " I exclaimed, " I've read it a few times, I prefer Doctor sleep though, it's definitely my favorite. ", I continued, while Rooster, Phoenix, and Bob chatted about who got what room at the air BNB we were renting.
As soon as Hangman and I got into our favorite tropes and such, they called us to board our plane, so we lined up, ready to get on.
