Eyes On Me

Summary:

Yuji's first day in Tokyo didn't go as planned. He didn't plan to get mugged, lost with a dead phone, and nowhere to go.

He definitely didn't plan to catch anyone's interest, especially the stranger from a mysterious shrine.

Chapter 1: Drowsy

Chapter Text

Moving on from his loss, moving into a nice little apartment in Tokyo, attending a culinary school, going around exploring new places, making new friends, and trying to live his best life at 20 years old… were what Itadori Yuji had in mind before moving to Tokyo.

Alone… during early winter… mugged… lost in Tokyo… with a dead phone, and nowhere to go were not what Yuji had in mind at all. Who would have thought that he would end up like this?

After his grandfather passed away, Yuji had decided to move from Sendai to Tokyo, to finally pursue his dream of attending a culinary school, being a chef, and maybe opening a restaurant of his own one day.

Three years ago, right after he graduated from high school, he had to give up the opportunity of attending the school of his dream because his grandfather got incredibly sick. Yuji put his acceptance letter away because he couldn’t abandon his grumpy old man like that. So, he stayed in Sendai to take care of his grandfather until his final day.

Now, all that his grandfather had left him with was an empty, lonely house, and some money.

Without his grandfather, Yuji couldn’t stand being in the house anymore. It was just him and his grandfather before, and now Yuji was all alone. He had no one left here, no family nor close relatives. Everyone else that he knew and was close with in high school had already moved out of Sendai, and went their separate ways. Since there was nothing in Sendai but an empty house that made his heart heavy, so why not try something new for once, right?

Yuji then came up with a plan. With his own savings from a part-time job and money that his grandfather left him, he could move away from home to start fresh in a new city.

A few months after his grandfather’s death, Yuji finally got accepted into his dream school. While he did manage to secure himself a spot at this school again, Yuji wasn’t good enough to get a scholarship. But thanks to his grandfather’s money, he could still attend the school with no problems. Although someone had suggested to Yuji that he could make more money by selling his house, the thought didn’t sit well with him. He tried to think about it carefully, but, in the end, he couldn't bring himself to do it. There were too many memories there. So, the young man kept the house, hoping that he would be able to come back one day.

It would be nice to eventually come back home again, and be able to live here with a lighter heart.

He may need to find a new part-time job though since he couldn’t live off of his savings forever, but that was okay. His plan was going great actually. He found a nice apartment with reasonable rental. Yuji couldn’t wait for his departure from Sendai. Say goodbye to an empty, lonely house. Say hello to a new chapter of his life! Yuji was so ready to live his best life.

However, things didn’t go as planned.

There was no bed of roses waiting for him here in Tokyo.

Yuji got mugged on his first day. He hadn’t even reached his booked apartment yet! What a nice start.

The young man had arrived in Tokyo in the evening, and was on his way to his booked apartment. However, for some reason, he had decided to stop by a park on his way. He had thought that it would be nice to sit down for a bit, to take a breath, and to enjoy the cold breeze of Tokyo for a little. The sun was beginning to set. The sky was now painted with gorgeous orange and purple. Birds were flying home. It was a beautiful sight.

Yuji sighed at the sight above him, feeling content… Unfortunately, the moment was cut short. His quiet moment was interrupted by two men, some gang members perhaps, approaching him. They tried to mug him, and Yuji wouldn’t give in so easily. Being an athlete in high school, the pink-haired man knew that he was fast and strong enough to fight off two guys, so he put up a good fight. He landed a few punches and kicks, and he foolishly thought that they would leave him alone finally. Yet, Yuji was wrong because instead of giving up, one of the attackers just pulled out a gun… So, Yuji had to be the one who gave in, and reluctantly handed them his bag.

By the time he was left alone, the sun had long set. The sky above had turned dark, with no moon and a few little stars here and there. Yuji looked around. Signing a bit, he felt grateful that, at least, there were few street lights in the park, so he wouldn’t be completely in the dark.

He still had his luggage with him, but there was nothing in there that could get him to his destination. His cash, his cards, his documents, everything was in that stolen bag. His phone was still with him. Sure, it could get him some cash, let him disable his cards, and lead him to his destination. It could do lots of things, if it wasn’t dead like it was now…

The screen was broken. Nothing. Just black broken screen and his own reflection staring back at him. He assumed that it may have slipped out of his pocket, and fell to its untimely death during the fight. Yuji then noticed that his lips had split a little, so he swept the blood off the corner of his lips.

Aside from split lips, he wasn’t injured much, only feeling a little sore. He imagined that his dead grandfather would be frowning at him from the heaven above right now, and that thought brought a small smile to him somehow. Maybe it was his grandfather’s doing that kept Yuji alive right now.

The thought of having someone watching over him made his heart warm…

He took his dark coat off, feeling a little too warm now after fighting with those shitty guys. Securing it around his waist, Yuji sat down. He shook the collar of his yellow hoodie a little, trying to cool himself down a bit, and thought hard on what to do next. He silently cursed at himself for not at least remembering his destination. After some thinking, Yuji had decided that he should get out of here, and maybe ask some locals for help, anything to get himself off the street tonight.

The cold and easy breeze was now getting stronger. Yuji thought he needed to move fast before it got colder and later than it already was. Being out in the cold like this wasn’t a good idea at all.

So, he put his luggage back on, and walked along the path, believing it would lead him out of the park. Except that it wouldn’t. The path led him to a shrine.

There it stood, solitarily, surrounded by tall dark trees. There was no light inside. The light from the streetlights didn’t reach it either. He couldn’t see much because of how dark it was, but he could tell that the place was abandoned for years, which was kind of strange if you asked Yuji.

A shrine, in a park, in Tokyo, abandoned? Hm… Something was off here, but Yuji didn’t know why.

Strong breeze blew passed him all of a sudden, sending shivers down Yuji’s spine. A part of his mind suddenly screamed at him to get the hell out of here, so he did. The pink-haired man was about to turn back around, to find another way out of the park. That was when something, or rather someone, caught his amber eyes.

A sleeping man, in a white kimono, was sitting against one of the shrine’s timeworn pillars.

In a time and weather like this? The wary feeling that he felt earlier was thrown out of the window. Yuji quietly walked into the shrine’s ground, approaching the sleeping man.

“Uh, hello?” whispered Yuji.

No response.

Standing in the dark shrine, Yuji studied the man before him as much as he could. The man was still breathing. No visible wounds. His face was mostly obscured by his dark scarf, but Yuji could tell that he was just here sleeping peacefully. His white kimono seemed old, and a little muddy. His visible feet were covered in dirt too.

A homeless person, maybe?

Despite wearing a scarf and a kimono, his clothes looked too thin for this cold weather. Yuji may or may not see the impressive tattoos on his visible skin (and the hair that looked similar to his own) since it was too dark to determine if they were real or just a trick of the light. He continued to study the man for a bit. There was no alcohol smell leaking from him. The pink-haired man could only smell faint musk and burnt wood, which was kind of pleasant but that was not the point here.

He tried to wake the man again, but still no response. So, he did the first thing he could think of. The young man untied his coat from his waist, and gently wrapped it around the sleeping man, shielding him from the cold night air. Yuji still had two more coats in his luggage, so giving one to someone who may need it more than him was no big deal.

Feeling satisfied with how his coat wrapped around the sleeping stranger securely, Yuji nodded to himself, and turned to leave. He had to leave before it got any later than it was. The sooner he got out of the park, the sooner he could find a way to his booked apartment.

Before he left, Yuji decided to pay some respect to the shrine since he was here anyway. He then prayed for a good night, and prayed for the sleeping stranger, wishing for his safety during the night as well. And then the young man turned around and left.

As soon as he stepped out of the shrine’s ground, his phone vibrated. The phone that he believed was long dead, now vibrating in his pants. Yuji quickly pulled it out. The screen was still broken, but it was on, somehow. And the caller ID on screen was whom he saved as Yaga-san, his soon-to-be landlord. A wide grin spread on his face, Yuji quickly answered the call before his phone gave out.

The man had decided to call to check up on him since he was late from their appointment. Yuji told him what happened, and the man guided him to the apartment. Before anything else happened, Yuji had decided to go straight to the apartment, and then dealt with anything else later. The path was different from before, but Yuji was too relieved to care or notice. He didn’t even notice that the dark shrine had now disappeared from view, along with the sleeping stranger in white kimono… as if they were never there in the first place.

Fifteen minutes later, Yuji was out of the park, and was now heading to where he was supposed to be a few hours ago. The pink-haired man couldn’t stop smiling at the turn of events, unaware of ruby eyes that had been following his every step with interest ever since he left the mysterious shrine.

Once he had settled in Tokyo, Yuji felt like he was blessed. He truly got to live the life that he had dreamed of. He went to school, met with knowledgeable and kind instructors. Gojo-sensei and Nanami-sensei were the best instructors there, and Yuji was so happy that he got to study with them. He got himself a part-time job at a nice cafe near his school. He made some new friends here and there, Nobara and Megumi. He got to explore the city with them, which was nice. His life had been quite busy, but Yuji was too happy as everything was going like he hoped it would be.

Well, it was more than he had hoped.

Yuji tried not to think too much about it. He wasn’t really aware of it at first, but as time passed… a lot of ‘lucky’ incidents happened to the point that it was too obvious to ignore.

It started with silly, small things like randomly won free meals and goods at the supermarket. And then this unexplainable situation became more serious.

Studying was never easy, especially at the best culinary school, but Yuji had a feeling that he had it easier somehow. No matter what happened at school, something else would happen to help him recover.

There were also some life-or-death situations as well. Once, Yuji was in a severe accident, and he thought he was going to die that day. The cab that he was on was left in an unrecognizable shape. The poor driver was dead, but for some strange reason, Yuji didn’t have a scratch on him. Nothing at all. No scars. No wounds. No bruises. No internal injuries. Nothing. Yuji didn’t know why. He couldn’t think of any explanation for it. It was as if misfortune had been chased away from him completely.

His friends often remarked that Yuji was fortunate in life, and he would partially agree with them. It was because…, since he had arrived in Tokyo, the pink-haired man’s love life was… non-existent. While Yuji was aware that he himself wasn’t a 10, he wasn’t a 2 either! He considered himself to be a 5 or maybe 6, on his good days at least. However, for some reasons, he could never have a successful date. Something would always happen to interrupt the dates. Megumi and Nobara tried to help him on that, but they didn’t succeed.

Yuji was hopeless. So, yeah… it had been awhile since he last got laid…

Aside from that, life had been great. Too great actually.

Not that Yuji would complain. No, no, he was grateful. Maybe his grandfather was actually watching over him… or maybe it was something else entirely. Yuji didn’t know, but he would always have a smile on his face whenever he thought about it.

He truly liked the thought of someone watching over him.

Yuji would sometimes feel like there were eyes on him, watching his every move. Yet, whenever he turned around, he found no one. Nothing. Even when he was alone in his room with all curtains closed, the feeling of being watched was still there. But since he couldn’t really find the source of this small discomfort, it was eventually brushed off as his mind just played tricks on him.

It was nothing… Just like when his amber eyes turned ruby red in the reflection sometimes. It was just a trick of the light; Yuji was sure of it.

Maybe he was too tired from navigating his busy life in this new exciting town.

Yuji never went back to the park. It was simply because it wasn’t on his usual route, and the thought to revisit never really crossed his mind with how life had been keeping him busy.

It wasn’t until late December that Yuji found himself walking in the park again.

The weather recently got colder these past few days. The pink-haired man hugged the bag that he was carrying close, trying to keep himself warm. He was on his way to meet Megumi and Nobara at a new western restaurant. They had agreed to have lunch together to celebrate Megumi’s birthday there. That was why he passed the park today…

The sight of a familiar entrance caught Yuji’s eyes.

His steps came to a sudden stop as a memory of a shrine and a stranger in white kimono came back to him…

Maybe he should go check for a bit.

Checking the time, he had 15 minutes until his lunch with Nobara and Megumi. Yuji then decided to go in since he believed that he was near the place anyway, and it shouldn’t take long. He still held his bag close as the memory of getting mugged was still there to make him wary of the surrounding of the park. Yes, sure, it was still midday and there were lots of people now, but one could never be too sure, right?

The young man casually walked along the path, believing that it would lead him to the shrine that he had found on his first day here in Tokyo. Only to find out that… there was no shrine where he believed it should be.

“This… can’t be…,” Yuji mumbled to himself. Confusion was clear on his face. It had been two months since he last visited here, but Yuji was sure that the shrine was supposed to be here. He walked around a bit. Amber eyes darted around the area, but still couldn't find what they were looking for.

Strange, the young man thought. It couldn’t be like this. If the shrine had been moved, there should be some evidence of it. Yet, there was none… as if there had never been a shrine here to begin with.

A smile instantly broke on his face when he spotted a park map nearby. Yuji quickly strode toward the map, hoping to see where the shrine was exactly. But before he reached it, his phone vibrated.

Huffing a bit, Yuji stopped and took his phone out. His round eyes went bigger when he saw who was calling. It was Nobara.

Oh, god, he was late! He was busy looking for the shrine, actually and forgot the time.

He barely got the chance to press the phone against his ear. His friend’s scream reached him first, making Yuji flinch, ‘Itadori! Where the fuck are you right now? It’s been 20 minutes already!’

“I’m almost there. Gosh, I’m sorry, Nobara. I’ll be there in… um... five minutes!”

‘Yeah, yeah, hurry up!’

As soon as Nobara hung up, Yuji ran out of the park. The thought of finding the shrine was immediately forgotten as he tried to get to his friends as soon as possible.

Ruby eyes followed him with mirth.

Maybe it was the wind, maybe it was the crowd on the streets of Tokyo. Yuji thought he heard something similar to laughter.

That night, in the comfort of his bed, Yuji dreamed.

He dreamed of soft touches, gentle caresses, passionate kisses from a stranger in white kimono who whispered sweet nothing in his ear with a deep, velvety voice. He dreamed of large warm hands with black nails and a sinful mouth with a wicked tongue that brought him intense pleasure.

‘Yuji…’ whispered the man in his dream. ‘My little Yuji… you’re doing so good for me, sweetheart.’

Two bodies were pressing against each other, rutting together slowly in his dark bedroom.

Everything felt so real.

Amber eyes met with ruby ones, staring back at him with so much lust and hunger. To say that those eyes were intense would be an understatement. Yuji felt like he was a prey at the mercy of a predator. He felt like he was about to be devoured.

And he wanted it. He wanted everything.

‘Mine.’

Yuji woke up with a gasp. He was naked and aroused, and his dick was painfully hard. Letting out a frustrated groan, he then reached down to touch himself. A needy moan escaped his lips once his hand wrapped around his dick. His pink hair was soaked with sweat. While one hand was pulling on his dick, the other hand was roaming over his sweaty chest, rubbing and squeezing at his sensitive nipples. His skin was flush red and burning hot. Yuji closed his eyes, and his mind immediately went back to his recent dream. Instead of his own hands, he imagined that it was those large hands that were touching him, black nails dragging over his body. He imagined that hot mouth wrapping around his dick, sucking him off.

“Fuck, fuck, fuck,” he breathed, speeding up the pace his hand.

It didn’t take long for Yuji to reach the climax. Toned body arched off the bed as Yuji let out a loud cry. A thick load came out, painting his chiseled abs. His whole body then trembled as he was coming hard. Some of it landed on his chest as well. He slowed his hand down and then stopped eventually, feeling too sensitive to touch now. And just breathed.

His amber eyes were unfocused as he was trying to come down from the high. Yuji never came this hard from a dream before. It was… so real. He vaguely remembered everything that he dreamed of, everything except the stranger’s face.

After a long quiet moment, once Yuji had calmed down, embarrassment finally caught up to him. The pink-haired man groaned. He couldn't believe that he just masturbated, and had the best orgasm of his life to the thought of a stranger. Yuji quickly wiped himself with his sleep shirt.

When did he take his clothes off, he wondered. He must have taken off his clothes in his sleep. Whatever. Yuji felt too good to care about that right now.

The room was still dark, so he got comfortable. Yuji laid on his stomach. The young man snuggled into his pillow, and then went back to sleep, missing the opportunity to meet the stranger from his dream, who was now lying beside him in his white kimono. Large hand moved down Yuji’s tan body slowly, touching tenderly, yet possessively.

“Mine…,” he whispered. A satisfied smirk was on his lips as his ruby eyes were on the young man’s sleeping form.
