rink of ambivalence

Summary:

Despite being on the same hockey team, Minho and Jisung avoid talking at all costs. Jisung hates Minho, he hates how good he is at everything; he hates how good he is at playing hockey and how everyone seems to adore him. Jisung assumes Minho hates him just as much, but he soon figures out that that’s not quite the case. A single afternoon of practicing together completely changes Jisung‘s opinion on his teammate and helps him figure out a thing or two about himself.

Minho mumbled a few words behind him that made his head turn, "You're so cute." He couldn't figure out if those were his exact words or not, Minho was gradually skating away from him and it was hard to hear.

"What did you say?" Jisung's voice was clear, making Minho turn his body towards him, his skates coming to a halt.

Notes:

Disclaimer: Once again, I don’t ship minsung. I love their friendship and I respect them as idols. This is simply just a work of fanfiction, I’m not trying to sexualize them or defame them.

I’ve also never played hockey… so if any of the game mechanics or their outfits are wrong please let me know so I can fix it.

I hope you enjoy the story ;)

Work Text:

The puck slid across the ice in an instant, gliding across the middle of the rink past everyone's skates before ending up in the net. Even the goalkeeper couldn't stop it in time. Jisung let out an exhausted sigh as he watched the rest of his team hype up the player that shot the Bar Down. His body folded forward as he rested his gloved hands on his thighs, trying to catch his breath.

Minho is his name, the best hockey player at his school. It's normal to be jealous of the best player on the team - arguably everyone is. But for Jisung it seemed like he had some pent-up anger against the older boy. Minho wasn't rude or anything, he was actually nice to him. Maybe too nice to him. Minho is perfect, everyone loves him, and he never gets angry at the game. Compared to Jisung, he knows how to deal with losing - probably because he rarely ever loses.

Slowly the rink became more spacious, and the lights started to dim - signaling that the regular practice was indeed over. Everyone was starting to return to the locker rooms so they could get ready to go home. Everyone except Minho, who was staying after to practice as he had recently started doing. Jisung looked up, not realizing how long he had been crouched over. A sigh left his mouth as he glanced down the rink towards the only other person - who was down by the net practicing. The absence of the usual beaming lights was quite nice.

Instead of going to the locker rooms, Jisung decided to ask the boy if they could practice together. God knows he needs practice. Especially with the important upcoming game on their schedule. Slowly, he skated over to the figure by the net, realizing he actually had to talk to his enemy and therefore rethinking his decision.

"Hey Minho," Jisung's voice felt softer and quieter than usual, his skates dragged against the ice as he approached the boy.

"Hm?" Minho hummed, he hadn't turned around yet but he could probably tell who was standing behind him just from the voice, he knew all of his teammates quite well. His knees were on the ice as he reached for the puck behind the net. When he finally stood up, his eyes locked on to Jisung's, the polite eye contact made anger boil up inside of Jisung.

"I just wanted to practice with you. That's all." Jisung said, sounding a bit annoyed already even though he was the one approaching Minho - not the other way around.

"Oh!" Minho's eyes unexpectedly lit up, it seemed like he wasn't anticipating that string of words to come out of Jisung's mouth. It's not like Jisung ever put any effort into having a conversation with him anyways, so this was out of the blue. "Well, let's go practice then?" Minho broke the silence, Jisung was too busy thinking to notice how silent it had become.

"Is there anything in particular we should practice? You should pick since you know, you are the best player on the team." Jisung mumbled the last sentence but it didn't matter because the rink was quiet enough for Minho to hear everything. Despite the passive aggressiveness, Minho continued to smile. Almost like he was happy to be practicing with Jisung. But he was like this with everyone, right? It didn't matter if Jisung was the person asking him to stay and practice together or not, he would still be his annoyingly giddy self if it was some other teammate.

"Let's start practice with some face-offs then." Minho had stood up awhile ago, being face-to-face with Jisung on the ice. Once Jisung nodded signaling that he was fine with that suggestion, Minho skated past him heading for the middle of the rink where they would be able to practice doing a few face-offs.

Jisung thought it was weird that Minho would choose such an odd thing for them to practice, considering Jisung rarely started any of their hockey matches or games. Minho was always the one doing that, he was great at face-offs. He was great at stealing the spotlight too. Jisung sighed again and quickly followed behind Minho before he got any angrier at those pointless thoughts.

Once he snapped out of those opinions, he found himself standing in the middle of the rink alone. After mindlessly looking around for a second he realized that Minho had skated past the center of the rink and was now at the exit fumbling with his helmet. Jisung rolled his eyes before picking up his speed towards the other boy, trying to figure out why Minho appeared to be taking off his gear when they had agreed to practice together. His grip on the shaft of the hockey stick seemed to tighten as he approached Minho, not sure how the other boy was able to anger him to this degree in a matter of minutes.

"What are you doing? I thought we were going to practice together?" Jisung exasperated, his voice coming off more irritated than he intended.

It took Minho a few more seconds before his helmet popped off his head, revealing a sweaty mess of brown hair. He ran his fingers through the damp strands - obviously taking his time to answer the other - and continued to set his helmet on the other side of the railing. "I usually take off my helmet and mouth guard after regular practice, it's just more comfortable." Minho proceeded to pop out his mouthguard and set that down too.

Jisung stared back in confusion, "But isn't that dangerous? What if you fall?" he asked.

"I won't fall," Minho stated with way too much confidence, but he was allowed to say things like that because they were true. He wasn't going to fall, he never does. But that fact only made Jisung more ticked off. After saying that, Minho's lips curled up in a smile - his usual annoying smile, the one that forced Jisung to hold back his anger.

"But what if you do?" Jisung shot back.

"I'll be fine. You should take yours off too, it's a lot more comfortable and we'll be able to hear each other better." Minho kept a smile on his face as he skated past Jisung, his gloved hand touching Jisung's shoulder for a split second as he passed. He had to be aware of how annoyed Jisung was, there was no way he couldn't feel Jisung's harsh stare stabbing him in the back as he skated away. But he still wore a smile, and he still seemed excited to practice with his teammate.

Jisung angled himself back at the railing, ultimately deciding to take his helmet off. After pulling the heavy thing off of his head, he popped his mouth guard off too because Minho was right, it would be a lot easier for them to talk with it out. And he also didn't want to be the only one with a helmet on, it just seemed awkward. Jisung skated towards the center of the rink, not sure why he continued to practice with Minho, especially because he couldn't stand the presence of the other. Maybe that was why he stayed - because Minho didn't seem to hate him the same way he hated Minho. It wasn't fair to Minho, so Jisung remained here in an attempt to better understand the other boy.

At the center of the rink, he watched as Minho set the puck down in the middle of the blue circle marked on the ice. Minho stood back up, it was a lot easier to read his expressions with the absence of the helmet. He didn't look angry so Jisung decided to suppress his own anger and actually try to practice with his teammate for once.

"You ready?" Minho said softly, looking up to meet eyes with Jisung. Both of them were positioned on the ice, their skates on the hash marks and their hockey sticks hovering on either side of the puck. Since there was no third party to referee, they both had silently agreed that Minho would start the countdown.

When Jisung nodded his head Minho began counting:

"3..."

Jisung clenched his teeth, the absence of a mouth guard felt strange in his mouth but his face felt colder than usual, and less sweaty since the helmet was gone.

"2..."

His hands gripped the hockey stick harder, ready to show Minho that he was a lot better at this than the other boy probably thought.

"1."

Their hockey sticks clashed against the puck, fighting for a split second before the black disc got shot behind Jisung. His shoulders relaxed and the blade of his hockey stick fell against the ice; Minho had won. Jisung turned around and watched as the other boy effortlessly shot the puck down the rink, sliding it straight into the net. The scene looked the same as earlier when Minho shot that Bar Down, minus the missing crowd of teammates cheering him on. Jisung stared in silence, not moving even when Minho glanced back at him for some type of praise. He knew it wasn't good sportsmanship but he didn't even attempt to congratulate the other boy, even when Minho came back with the puck in his hand, ready for another face-off.

"You could chase after me for the puck, y'know." Minho broke the silence, he seemed to sense Jisung's discouraged attitude through the boys' lack of words.

"I thought we were just doing face-offs, not scoring?" Jisung finally spoke, a hint of anger in his voice but still not as much compared to earlier.

"Well... it would be more fun to chase after each other. You're a good skater, I'm sure you'll catch me." Minho brought his hand to Jisung's shoulder, giving it a few motivational pats before returning to his proper location at the center of the ice.

Jisung didn't know what to make of Minho's words. Was he just suggesting this so he could brag even more about how good he is? Surely he doesn't actually think that highly of Jisung. Instead of arguing about it, Jisung got into his position on the ice. It didn't matter if he could chase after Minho or not because this time he was going to win the face-off.

After getting the other boys' approval, Minho started to count down once again. "3... 2... 1." Just like before, their hockey sticks clashed against the ice with a loud smack. After a second of fighting over the puck, Minho managed to get ahold of it again. Instead of staying back like last time, Jisung skated after him just like Minho had suggested he do.

The distance between the center of the rink and the net was pretty far so Jisung caught up in an instant. Minho must've heard the skates frantically scraping the ice behind him because he turned his head to look, a faint smile on his face when he realized that Jisung was actually trying to get the puck from him. It didn't matter though, he hit the puck almost immediately and managed to score another perfect goal.

A defeated sigh came out of Jisung's mouth, he was only a few feet behind the other boy. He already felt exhausted, just from chasing after Minho once. As Minho stood back up from below the net, the puck in his hand and an encouraging smile on his face, he spoke, "You did a lot better that time." The words were meant to be supportive but they only fueled the fire inside of Jisung, he had to beat Minho next time.

"Thanks, I would've won if I had just..." Jisung's words trailed off as Minho skated a few feet behind him and away from the net. He was so out of breath that he couldn't manage to finish his sentence, simultaneously forgetting what he was going to say.

"Oh... I said you were determined. Determined to win against me." Minho smiled at the end of his sentence, adding a sweet accent to his words. When Jisung kept silent he continued to skate towards the center of the rink, implying that Jisung should follow after him.

Jisung stood still, wondering if he was just hearing things wrong from the lack of energy he had at the moment. When he felt like too much time had passed, he skated towards Minho. It was better to just believe the boy instead of trying to start an argument over it. Minho wouldn't say something that absurd to him anyways.

Minho was patiently waiting for him to return to the middle of the rink, and once he got there it suddenly felt more spacious and somehow lonelier than before. The reality that it was just him and Minho in this huge ice rink had finally set in. Still, he got into his correct position and steadily held his hockey stick, ready for Minho to start counting down. This time he was actually going to win.

Minho had picked up on Jisung's stance, and so he didn't ask if the boy was ready, "3... 2... 1." Just like all the previous times, they fought for the hockey puck. Their blades smacked against each other, filling up the silence in the rink. This time Jisung managed to get the puck. Finally, he thought as he skated past the other boy with full confidence. He could hear Minho skating behind him but it didn't matter because he knew he was faster. Or that's what he thought until he saw a figure coming up right beside him.

In a split second, Jisung was no longer ahead of Minho and about to score but instead was lying against the ice in confusion. His body started registering what had happened, and so his back was suddenly in a lot of pain. As he opened his eyes he looked up and saw Minho on top of him, assuming must've fallen as well.

Minho was frozen, he looked confused yet unable to move off of Jisung. "Minho..." Jisung's sentence was cut off by a pair of lips pressing against his own. His eyes went wide as he desperately tried to pull away from the kiss, Minho immediately looking at him with apologetic eyes when they separated. "Why… why did you kiss me?" Jisung distanced himself as best as he could, trying to figure out what just happened and why it happened.

"I'm sorry... I didn't mean..." Minho seemed shocked at his own actions, but it still didn't explain what compelled him to do what he just did.

"Are you- do you like me?" Jisung questioned. He wasn't sure how to process the situation, but he wasn't angry... at all, just surprised.

"Yeah... I'm sorry I did that without asking you first... it just felt... right? I don't know what I'm saying." Minho stared down at the ice, refusing to meet eyes with Jisung.

Jisung on the other hand was amused. He didn't believe Minho's words at all, this had to be some sort of prank or something. The kiss didn't matter, it was just a small peck on the lips. Minho didn't actually like him. That wasn't possible because there's no reason for Minho to feel this way about him, Jisung has always hated him so why wouldn't the feelings be mutual?

"Prove it." Jisung finally responded.

"Prove it? How am I supposed to do that?" Minho looked back up at Jisung. The look in his eyes burned through Jisung's body, maybe he wasn't lying. Still, Jisung needed some sort of proof of these feelings before he could decide how to respond.

"I don't care how, just prove it. Prove that you actually like me because I don't believe you." Jisung leaned back, his hands against the ice as he stared back at Minho with a victorious grin on his face, like he had somehow won an argument.

"You don't care how? So I can do anything to prove it?" Minho restated, making sure Jisung knew what he was implying.

"Yes. Anything." Jisung kept the same grin on his face, unaware of what Minho was about to do.

Once he got Jisung's answer, Minho pushed both of their hockey sticks away from them. The plastic slid across the ice and ended up farther away than he intended. Without hesitation, he got back on top of Jisung, lowly hovering over him. Jisung's body got pushed against the ice, the coldness pressing against his back as Minho brought his head down to his neck. A gasp left Jisung's mouth as Minho started leaving trails of kisses down his skin, his hands traveling over his body as they lay in the open ice rink.

"What are you—"

"I'm proving it to you." Minho pulled away for a few seconds to read Jisung's expression, making sure he wasn't uncomfortable.

Jisung was anything but uncomfortable, he absolutely hated Minho but for some reason, all that anger he had for him was gone now. He was starting to believe Minho. It all started to make sense. He didn't know why, but he wanted Minho to keep going, to keep proving how much he liked him. He needed to see how far Minho was willing to go.

It's like Minho could see straight through him, he could read exactly how Jisung was feeling at that moment. And so, he delved back down for another kiss, and this time Jisung didn't pull away. Minho's hands continued to travel down Jisung's body until they got to his thighs. Jisung shivered at the slight squeeze Minho gave them, a moan escaping into their kiss. Somehow the older boy's touch was colder than the ice underneath him.

Minho's hands moved back up Jisung's body, their mouths still connected as he slipped his hand underneath the boys' jersey. Minho's hands, although gloved, felt so nice against his warm skin. When Minho finally broke the kiss he slipped the gloves off and threw them against the ice somewhere behind Jisung. Immediately after they were gone he moved his hands to Jisung's waist, tugging down his shorts and gaining a surprised look from the boy.

"Here? In the middle of the rink?" Jisung grabbed Minho's hand with his own, stopping him from moving his shorts down.

"Nobody else is here. Trust me." Minho slowly moved the other hand off his own, swiftly pushing Jisung's body back down on the ice. He got positioned over Jisung like before and tugged the boys' shorts down until they were to his knees.

Jisung was nervous, he must've been out of his mind to let something like this happen. But he just laid there, letting Minho do whatever he needed to do to prove his feelings to him. Minho finally pulled the fabric down, not even bothering to take off any more clothes than what was necessary. He lifted Jisung's jersey again, but this time he pressed kisses down the boy's stomach. They trailed down to his thighs until Minho was able to shimmy off Jisung's jockstrap as well. Immediately a rush of coldness hit Jisung's ass, and a realization hit him, too. They were really about to have sex in the middle of the ice rink.

Jisung's focus on the coldness immediately went away when he felt a hand wrap around his cock. He was too busy worrying about where they were to realize how embarrassingly hard he had become. Minho moved onto the ice, sitting in front of Jisung with the younger boy's legs resting on his thighs as he palmed him. Jisung stared up at the dim lights illuminating the rink, he refused to look at Minho out of embarrassment. But Minho didn't take his eyes off of him, "It's okay to look at me." Minho reassured him, but Jisung still refused to take his eyes off the ceiling.

A small chuckle left Minho's mouth as he backed up a bit, leaning his head down between Jisung's thighs. Jisung's cock was already leaking in his hands, he had been rubbing the pre-cum around the tip for a while and decided it was time to try something else.

Jisung finally moaned when he felt a sudden warmth engulfing his cock, he looked down and saw Minho's mouth wrapped around him. Minho was way too good at what he was doing. The way he pulled his head up just to move back down on his cock had Jisung's back arching against the ice. At some point, Minho had to press his hands against the boys' hips just to keep him from moving. Jisung couldn't help the sudden need to buck his hips up into Minho's mouth. When he looked down at Minho he saw all the drool and pre-cum dripping from his mouth, and his eyes were closed because he was so focused. It turned him on so much.

"I'm— nngh- I'm cumming-" Those words only made Minho take him in further. His nails dug into Jisung's hips as he desperately tried to make the boy cum, and when Jisung released inside his mouth he made sure to swallow it all in front of him. Minho lifted his head, wiping the excess drool and cum off his lips as he looked down at Jisung.

They both looked at each other trying to catch their breath, then Minho leaned back down and initiated another kiss. This kiss was a lot sloppier than their previous one, Jisung could taste himself in Minho's mouth and that turned him on even more. Minho's hand reached behind Jisung's head, his fingers weaving through the boy's damp brown hair. Soft moans left their mouths as their lips connected, passing their saliva and Jisung's cum between each other. The sweet taste of Minho's mouth had Jisung wanting more.

Eventually, Minho broke away from the kiss, "Just tell me if you want me to stop, okay?" He asked in a soft tone. An unfamiliar warmth rose in Jisung's body at the question, it seemed like Minho actually cared about him.

When Jisung nodded his head, Minho brought two of his fingers to the boy's slightly parted lips, insisting that he open his mouth wider. Jisung listened and took the digits in his mouth. It was suddenly less embarrassing for him, and so he made sure to get Minho's fingers as wet as possible with his saliva before the boy pulled them out of his mouth.

The fingers were taken out of his mouth with a trail of saliva running down his lips. Minho repositioned himself on top of Jisung, making sure to press the boys' legs down far enough for him to comfortably finger him. It was difficult to find the perfect position because he couldn't fully take Jisung's shorts off due to the skates but he made do.

Jisung waited in anticipation but quickly noticed that Minho's fingers weren't even near him and instead were touching the ice. "What are you doing?" Jisung asked, watching as Minho pressed his two wet fingers against the ice.

Minho didn't answer and instead continued touching the ice for a few more seconds, then he pushed a finger into Jisung. Immediately, Jisung was met with an icy feeling inside of him. It was like nothing he's ever felt before. He gasped at the coldness but as Minho kept pushing in and out of him, soon adding the other finger, he started whining desperately. His body pushed back onto Minho's fingers, wanting more. And Minho kept going, giving him exactly what he wanted and watching his lewd expressions the whole time. Nothing felt embarrassing to him anymore.

Minho was scissoring Jisung open, too focused on the boys' expressions and making sure he was feeling good to notice his own pounding erection underneath his shorts. Just when Jisung was about to cum he pulled his fingers out, receiving a strained whine from the boy.

"Why'd you stop?" Jisung asked, breathless. He pushed his back up from the ice using his hands, his legs still resting on Minho's thighs.

"You'll see." Minho tugged his shorts down, pushing his jockstrap off too. When the material was pulled away, his painfully hard cock slapped against his abs.

Jisung knew Minho had to be strong given how well he played hockey, but he wasn't aware that the boy had such a toned body. And despite seeing him in the locker room after almost every practice, he wasn't aware of how big Minho's cock was. Jisung watched as Minho softly thrusted into his own hand, spreading all the pre-cum around to get it slick enough. The way Minho's face scrunched in pleasure and all the small grunts that left his mouth had Jisung's own cock twitching against his stomach as he watched the boy in front of him. He wasn't sure how to feel anymore... but he knew how badly he wanted Minho inside of him.

While Minho was getting himself ready, Jisung decided to take off his gloves so he could grab onto the older boy easier. Once they were off, he threw them across the ice. A sudden chill rushed through his body, the cold atmosphere only making him want Minho's warmth more.

After a few more seconds, Minho grabbed Jisung's legs. The coldness of the ice returned to Jisung's back as he was placed against it, his legs being pushed to the side and pressed against his chest so Minho could fuck him easier. The different articles of clothing and skates were still a huge hindrance but Minho worked around it. "Tell me if I'm going too fast, okay?" He asked once again, a sort of carefulness in his soft voice.

Jisung looked at the other boy for a moment, wondering how someone could make consent look so hot. Instead of replying with his voice, he just nodded, knowing that Minho would be okay with his lack of words. They exchanged a glance before Jisung felt Minho's cock being lined up against his entrance. The older boy spent almost no time pushing himself into Jisung, a few small grunts leaving his mouth as he filled the boy up. He went extremely slow, making sure to let Jisung adjust to his length until he fully bottomed out.

After a few moments of slowly moving in and out of Jisung, Minho began to speed up his pace. He paid attention to Jisung's expressions the whole time, making sure he wasn't hurting the boy at all. Jisung didn't talk much but that didn't matter because his body did a great job of speaking for him. Minho leaned down to initiate another kiss between him and Jisung, and to his surprise, Jisung eagerly kissed him back. His fingers tangled in the younger boys' hair as their bodies rocked together, the warmth of their skin touching against each other contrasted perfectly with the freezing ambiance surrounding them.

When Minho broke away from the kiss, he repositioned Jisung so the boy was more on his side, helping him reach even deeper. Jisung looked towards the empty stadium surrounding the both of them, all the vacant seats staring back at him. Only then did he remember where they were fucking - in the middle of an ice rink. Something about that, and something about the setting being so public turned him on. "Harder... go faster please..." Jisung choked out. He never thought he would be saying those words to someone like Minho, but here he was.

"Okay." Minho's voice was so calming, he immediately did what Jisung asked and sped up his thrusts. A few shaky moans escaped his parted lips as he fucked into Jisung, holding the boy's body against the ice as he managed to push deeper inside of him. His cold hands burned against Jisung's skin, running them down the boy's slim waist and taking in the sight in front of him.

Jisung threw his head back, his back arching against the ice as Minho nailed his prostate. He didn't even have to say anything, Minho could tell he had found Jisung's sweet spot just from the way the boy squirmed under him. Not to mention all the shaky moans and whines Jisung was making underneath him, those reactions only motivated him more. Being so focused on helping Jisung reach his orgasm was involuntarily helping himself reach his own.

Suddenly, Jisung felt a knot forming in his stomach. He reached his hand towards Minho's shoulder, pulling on his jersey until the older boy leaned in. Their lips connected once again, a sloppy kiss filled with a romantic bond Jisung didn't know they had. Jisung was close, a blissful warmth grew inside of him as he rocked his hips against Minho. The other boy was quick to notice how close Jisung was, so he held onto his hips harder than before and pushed into him at a steady pace.

It didn't take long for Jisung to fully come undone, his body convulsing as a string of white spurted across his stomach. Sweet, high-pitched moans flowed from his mouth and into Minho's as he came. Not long after, Minho was cumming inside of him. Filling him up with a warm sensation and helping him slowly come down from his own high. They broke away from the kiss, both gasping for air as they tried to calm down.

A chill rushed down Jisung's spine when Minho pulled away from him, it was suddenly so cold without him. "Was that enough proof?" Minho said, sitting against the ice at Jisung's feet. His face was flushed despite the coldness in the air.

"I think that was enough." Jisung chucked, of course, he believed Minho now. He didn't realize how much of a mess they had made until he looked down, his own cum covering his stomach along with Minho's dripping out of him.

Minho pulled up his shorts before returning to Jisung's side, helping the boy get his clothes back on. "We can clean up in the locker room?" Minho suggested, his hands making Jisung shiver as he gently pulled his shorts up and over his waist.

Jisung nodded, he almost forgot where they were again. Minho helped him stand up, and although it hurt to get up, he was surprisingly able to move just fine. He looked down at the spot on the ice where they had fucked and there were no remnants of what they did, so they didn't have to worry about cleaning anything up. Immediately as he stood, he noticed how uncomfortable and wet his shorts felt. But the hand grabbing his wrist and leading him over the ice was comforting, it took his mind off of everything else.

They skated over the ice, the dim lights above them still making their figures glow across the rink. It was really just the two of them, and it felt magical. Once they made it out of the rink, they immediately took their skates off, making it easier for them to walk to the locker room. Minho led Jisung the whole way there, only letting go of his hand once they made it to the showers.

They both stood outside the showers, staring at each other until Minho placed his hands on Jisung's waist. Jisung's eyes went wide as Minho started pulling his jersey up, trying to take it off for him. "What are you doing?" Jisung placed his hands on Minho's wrists, stopping him in his place.

"I'm helping you clean up." Minho smiled, and this time his smile wasn't annoying - but sweet. Jisung let go of Minho's wrists so he could continue to pull the jersey off, the older boy's soft touch sending shivers down his spine once again.

Minho took the clothing off the boy, taking his shoulder pads off along with his jersey. Cum still stained Jisung's stomach but Minho didn't care, he smiled at how flushed the other boy's cheeks became once he realized where Minho was staring. He continued to help Jisung get his clothes off, and then once they were all scattered across the floor he began taking off his own.

Now they were both naked, again. But the atmosphere was way different, it wasn't sexual this time but it was sort of romantic. Minho offered to take a shower with Jisung and help him clean up properly, so the younger graciously accepted.

"I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable earlier," Minho spoke softly behind Jisung, his hands in the boys' hair as they both got soaked under the water. Jisung was in front of him, tangled in his arms as the water poured over their bodies.

"With the kiss? It's fine. We did a lot more than that anyways..." Jisung replied, a sort of calmness displayed in his voice. Minho was being very sweet, Jisung might've hated the older boy earlier - and any other time they had been around each other - but for some reason, Minho won him over today. It wasn't just the sex, it couldn't be just the sex. But the way Minho was so careful... and the way he was taking care of him right now just showed how different he was from any other guy Jisung has been with. He's special.

"Jisung." Minho's relaxed voice caught Jisung's attention, he was so lost in his thoughts about the other boy that he didn't hear him speak.

"I'm sorry, what did you say?" Jisung turned around to face the older boy, their eyes meeting as Minho gently placed his hands around Jisung's waist.

"I said, will you be my boyfriend?"

It was a sudden question, one that Jisung wasn't expecting nor was ready for. But still, he couldn't decline, not when Minho was staring at him with the most anticipating and soft gaze. It made his heart pound inside his chest. "Yes," Jisung replied, watching as Minho's eyes lit up with triumph.

Minho turned the boy back around with a swift movement, "Ok, let's go get dressed." He said, turning off the water and ushering Jisung out of the shower with him.

The two of them got dressed quickly, eager to go home and get some rest. It was awkward at first, Jisung didn't know what to say to his new boyfriend - or his fellow teammate. It was nerve-wracking how much a minuscule label could change things, it didn't feel real but he was still happy with how his afternoon turned out.

They left the locker room together, holding hands on their way out. Too focused on each other's voices, they didn't notice the figure lurking in the back of the locker room. The figure who shared the same-colored jerseys as them - a fellow teammate.

Jisung and Minho walked out of the building together, it didn't matter how their relationship would affect the team - or how it would affect the important upcoming game. This was a lot better than Jisung hating his teammate, now they could practice together. They could continue doing what they loved doing, but now they could do it together - hopefully with a few motivational kisses along the way.

Notes:

If I’m being honest, this fic was inspired by that one scene of hanseo and hanseok playing hockey in the kdrama “Vincenzo”. It just… it looked so hot. So I made a whole fanfic about two dudes fucking on the ice. I hope you enjoyed reading it because I really enjoyed writing it.

Please leave a kudos or comment, it means a lot <3 I read all comments.

(Also, an entire part 2 to this story is already in the makes, so please look forward to that.)
