Chapter Text

A month before Utahime’s birth, a mysterious white fox with blue eyes appeared on the edges of the Iori property. No matter how many times the creature was chased away, it found its way back, lingering like a spectre in the night until the eve of her birth. As her cry pierced the air, so had the haunting yips of the fox.

Afraid of the creature's attachment to their newborn child, her parents consulted a shaman, who advised them to move far away. The deep attachment spoke of something inhuman, the shaman warned. Their daughter would never be safe with the fox demon casting a shadow over her life. So her family uprooted themselves from the clan for her safety.

Utahime grew up to be an obedient and lonely child, isolated in an estate miles and miles from the nearest city. Her parents doted on her, giving her everything she needed, but never letting her out of their sight. It was a well-known rule in the household that Utahime was not allowed outside the front gates, which were covered in demon warding charms. She had obeyed dutifully for years before a visit from her favorite cousins changed everything.

In the front yard, they had played with a bamboo knitted ball until the sun reached the height of the sky. Utahime didn’t remember who kicked the ball out of bounds, but she did remember the sight of the ball sitting several feet outside the front gates. She had stopped at the edge of the wards, afraid to go any further.  However, the exasperated sounds of her cousins calling out for her to retrieve the ball urged her forward. Utahime didn’t have any friends, she only had cousins that visited once a year. She didn’t want to make them mad. Without them, she truly would have no one to keep her company.

After both feet inched their way past the front gates, Utahime paused, expecting the world to crumble and lightening to light up the sky. Yet nothing happened. Taking another set forward, she retrieved the ball and ran as fast as her little feet allowed back to her cousins. The incident quickly forgotten from her mind.

The next morning, a white fox crouched at the entrance of the estate. Blue eyes with too much intelligence immediately focused on Utahime as she looked out her window curiously. With purposeful steps, the fox settled itself right beneath her window and stared up at her with unblinking eyes. The attention had been unnerving. All the warnings from her parents made her step away from the window cautiously, but something held her back from telling them what she had seen. When her cousins left in the evening, no one reported a white fox outside the gates.

As the days blended into weeks, Utahime seemed to be the only one who spotted the creature. Lonely and isolated, spotting the white fox had quickly become a game. Most mornings, he greeted her beneath her window, but he quickly caught onto her game. He seemed to take delight in her childish laughter, popping out from his new hiding place and disappearing again.  The game became a secret she shared with the creature and friend.

As she approached her tenth birthday, a bold and restless energy filled her with ideas to make the game more interesting. Where would the creature be hiding today? Slowly, she crept toward the front gates and eased one gate open with a soft creak. The sound seemed to summon the creature from the morning mist. Utahime gasped as the white fox approached, standing only a few feet away from where she crouched. This was the closest they had ever been together.

White fur fluttered around the creature's face, while its blue eyes pierced her soul. Her fingers twitched, imagining what the fur would feel like beneath her hands. With a deferential nod, the creature lowered its head. Utahime reached out slowly while her heart hammered in her chest. With the first brush of her fingers, the fox’s whiskers twitched before letting out a soft yip. Relaxed, she leaned forward to scratch behind its ears.

With a twist of its jaw, the creature bit down into her forearm and dragged her forward. A cry slipped past her lips as she tumbled past the front gates and onto unprotected ground. Adrenaline rushed through her body as she tried to yank her arm out of the maw of the beast who now crouched over her body.

Before her very eyes, the creature seemed to grow until it was the size of a horse. Claws elongated from its paws, while obsidian antlers emerged from its forehead. Scratching and pulling, Utahime fought to release herself from the creature. Tears flooded her cheeks, while she howled for help and pleaded with the monster.

White-hot pain flashed through her face before going numb as those claws sliced across her right cheek. Blood filled her vision as an unearthly growl rent the air. An inhuman voice filled her ears, the voice childlike and yet ancient.

“You wear my mark now, fated one, but it is not time for me to collect you. Someday, when I come for you, we will finally complete this union.”

The sound of her parents calling for her filled the air as darkness swallowed her whole.

For as long as Iori Utahime could remember, the story of the white fox had been told in hushed tones throughout her clan. The creature had left its mark on her face and forced her family to move into the city for safety.

At the age of thirty, she was convinced it was some tale her family liked to tell to scare the children into obedience. She didn’t remember the encounter or the long hospitalization. Growing up in Tokyo, a city of technology and industrialism, the idea of demons and gods were a thing of the past. She rarely thought about the story, but recently, it had been at the forefront of her mind.

The new teacher from Kyoto made the hair on the back of her neck stand. His silver white hair and the bright blue eyes made her shoulders tense and her stomach coil with anxiety.  It was a silly reaction, especially when Gojo Satoru barely acknowledged her.

His introduction must have sparked something in her psyche. The image of the white fox had begun invading her dreams. At first, the fox had lingered on the periphery of her dreams, watching and waiting. But now, he grew bold, pinning her down and laughing in her face.

Sometimes he devoured her body and left her face untouched, just so she could witness the devastation of his powers. Sometimes he made her watch while he tore apart each family member who had played a part in keeping her from him. She always woke up screaming in a puddle of sweat. But nothing compared to the nightmare that had plagued her for the past week.

In the darkness of dreams, she knew a predator stalked her every step. Flashes of white fur teased the edges of her vision, but every time she turned, she was met with darkness. The sound of demonic yips and growls pushed her legs faster as she ran further into the crushing darkness.

Falling onto her knees, she gasped as a beautiful and ethereal white fox appeared in front of her. Her heart beat fiercely in her chest even as her arm reached forward to touch the creature. Her mind screamed with warnings, but she could not stop herself from reaching toward the soft fur covering the beast’s muzzle. She pulled back too late as sharp teeth sank into her flesh.

No sound escaped her throat this time as he pulled her forward and pinned her onto her stomach. She could feel the creatures’ growl vibrating against her back.

“I’ve come for you, fated one,” the fox purred in a voice that seemed to have aged throughout the years. “We can finally complete this union.”

Utahime let out a scream, snapping awake to find herself drenched in sweat and unable to move her limbs. Her heart continued to race as her blurred vision settled on a form crouched above her.

Still reeling from the dreamworld, she couldn’t seem to make sense of what was happening. The image of the white wolf superimposed itself on Gojo Satoru’s shadowed form. But that didn’t make sense. He was just a man, a man who had broken into her bedroom in the middle of the night.

She stiffened, finally registering that a virtual stranger was in her room. How had he gotten in? How did he know where she lived? Long, deft fingers wound white ribbons around her wrists, rendering her arms useless.

“Gojo, what are you doing?” she croaked, struggling against the binds.

Pulling the black blindfold from his eyes, Gojo studied her bound form and grinned with satisfaction. With his blindfold, he stuffed her mouth until the taste of his sweat saturated her tongue. His blue eyes sparkled eerily in the dim moonlight spilling from her windows.

“This is for your own good, fated one. The first union can be a bit of a shock to human mates.”

Fated one

Her heart started to pound, a cold sweat dampening her skin. She didn’t like those words. She had never liked those words. Why was Gojo saying such bizarre things? Utahime started to shake with fear, suspicions rising even as her mind howled with denials.

Pulling back the hair from her face, he studied the scar across her cheek.“You wear my mark so beautifully, Utahime. Do you know how many times I’ve had to hold myself back from taking you like an animal in front of all our colleagues?”

He laughed, the annoying laugh that sounded like nails on a chalkboard. “But I guess I am an animal, in the eyes of the Iori clan.”

Blue eyes glittered with amusement as large black antlers sprouted from his forehead. The vision of his transformation had changed since she had last seen them as a child. The horns had grown in their years apart, twisting and tangling into a crown that curved around his head. His body seemed to grow even bigger than his normal six-foot frame. Gojo sighed and rolled his neck, as if it was a relief to loosen the reigns on the monster inside. The sigh was an echo of the ancient voice from her nightmares. Buried memories filled her mind as the long-lost fear of the fox creature filled her body.

Oh gods, he had found her. Somehow, the white fox demon had found her. And he had been playing with her, observing her for months as the nonchalant Gojo Satoru.

The demon tutted as if she had spoken, grasping the neck of her sleep shirt. Utahime cried out when he split the shirt with a quick yank of his hands. She pulled against her bonds until her wrists reddened and began to bruise. He sat himself on her thighs to stop the bucking of her hips. Blue eyes glittered with possession, studying the lines of her shoulders, her breasts and the nipples that puckered in the cool air.

“But I’ve been kind, haven’t I?” The fox demon leaned forward, his lips touching the edge of the scar on her cheek before trailing down her chin. “I let you live your life instead of taking you away to be a child bride. Others wouldn’t have been so kind.”

Utahime turned away on a cry as his lips moved lower while his hands began to roam her body. Licking at the pulse of her neck, his hands explored the smooth expanse of her stomach before settling under the weight of her breasts. His long fingers started to trace her nipples before strumming them to the beat of her heart. An echoing beat began to thump between her thighs as her body heated and softened under his ministrations.

The fox demon lifted himself off her body, only to maneuver Utahime onto her knees. The movement forced her hips into the air. She leaned on her elbows to keep the worst of the weight off her shoulders. She studied her bound wrists. If she could spit out the makeshift gag, she could probably unknot the ties with her teeth.

Before she could complete her thought, the fox demon yanked her sleeping shorts to her knees and spread her wide. Utahime twisted and cursed against her gag, even as he hummed in delight and pulled her folds apart. The tip of his finger traced her opening before his thumb flicked her clit.

“So pretty and pink,” he observed, lining kisses along the curve of her ass.

Her hips jolted with the first swipe of his tongue. She choked against the gag as he pulled her clit into his mouth and began to suck. One of his fingers traced the puckered opening of her ass, making her quiver. Try as she might, she couldn’t fight the waves of pleasure flooding her body.

He became more aggressive at the first sign of her arousal. Fingers dove deeper into her pussy, pushing out her juices. His lips and tongue lashed between her folds before curling around her clit. She tried to ignore the sounds of slurping and deep moaning behind her.

Her eyes fluttered shut as he worked her clit between his lips and began to thrust his fingers down. Her hips automatically tilted, seeking out his fingers and assisting his search for that perfect place inside her. A whimper began to escape her throat as she climbed higher and higher.

“Cum for me, Utahime,” he commanded, groaning against her clit.

She came with bedsheets twisted between her bound hands and hips bucking against his face. He continued to lick softly as she came down from her orgasm, prolonging the pleasure until she groaned from the oversensitivity. Utahime was still shivering when the fox demon removed her sleeping shorts completely and engulfed her body with his large, monstrous frame.

Slotting the head of his length against her still-throbbing core, he declared, “I’m going to make you mine until no one can take you away from me ever again.”

Utahime screamed as he pushed into her with one forceful thrust and began to rut against her ass. The liquid between her thighs was barely enough to lubricate the stretch of his cock. Breathing hard, she could barely hold on as he pounded into her with everything he had. She braced her forearms against the headboard to prevent herself from crumbling underneath the weight of his body.

Wounded yelps escaped her gag every time he slammed into her from behind. His large hands were manacles around her stomach, keeping her hips high and tilted for his use. His harsh demonic groans filled her ears as he nipped possessively against the back of her neck. Black stars sparkled across her vision as his rutting continued on and on.

His fingers tightened on her hips, holding her in place as his pace grew even faster. Utahime cried out, twisting against his hold as something began to swell at the entrance of her core. The fox demon moaned against her shoulder, thrusting deep, so his knot would lock beneath her pubic bone. A pained moan escaped her gag as he circled his hips to deepen the knot before spilling deep into her womb.

Grateful that it was over, she quivered in discomfort, trying to relax her inner muscles against the stretch. Instead, she involuntarily clenched around his knot. The fox demon stirred above her with a guttural groan. Long fingers soon found the swollen nub between her folds and began to rub softly, up and down. It didn’t take long for the playful fingers to draw out another orgasm. Moaning against the bedsheets, she repeatedly milked his knot. Stars danced across her eyes as he began to throb inside her before spilling another load against her womb.

For half an hour, he kept their hips raised, murmuring about how it’ll be easier for his seed to take. His hands were a constant soothing motion against her arms, her hips and her thighs. Sometimes he rubbed her stomach right where his cock was buried inside her. She finally groaned, unable to stand the fullness and the pain-pleasure of his rubbing. He immediately stopped. Fatigued, Utahime ignored the soft kisses he laid against her shoulders and her cheeks.

The echos of her parent’s warnings filled her mind. The shaman had explained that the first union between a fox demon and their human mate was an intense mating that bound the two together. Their life forces fused to become one. A caution from the shaman rang out in her mind. It was common for first unions to result in children.

When his knot released her at last, tears began to flood her eyes and sobs wracked her defeated frame. Her first mating to the white fox demon was completed. She would forever be bound to this monster. Any freedom she had was slowly slipping through her fingers the way his seed dripped from her swollen slit.

Shushing her softly, the fox demon kissed the teardrops that stained her cheeks and removed the gag. He murmured reassurances. He would take care of her and cherish her in their new home among gods and demons. She would be his most treasured mate and give him beautiful kits. She would desire nothing as the consort of the most powerful fox demon in the realm.

“What is your name, demon?” she managed to rasped through tears and a bruised throat.

“I never presented myself as false, fated one. My name is Gojo Satoru, and I am your mate.”

Shaking her head, she was too weak to reply. She would never accept him as a mate.

The fox demon tucked a velvet cloak around her naked body. He cooed softly, lifting her against his chest before jumping down from her bedroom window. Utahime eventually fell asleep with the feel of soft fur beneath her hands and quiet footsteps leading them toward the forest.
