Chapter Text
Kevin was already cold when they got to set that day and the studio with its high ceilings and its drafty corridors isn't exactly the coziest place on earth either. If they hadn't already been late this morning, they could have stopped at Starbucks on the way, but when even the group coffee order on set somehow ends up missing his specific order he accepts that fate does not want him to have caffeine or warm hands today. Perhaps he should have taken a jacket but how was he supposed to know the weather would be all weird and wintery again.
Now it feels like not even a hot drink would be enough to chase away the cold settling against his bones, so there really is nothing he can do except shiver and complain. Which he does, right in front of thousands of Deobis watching their vlive and it does help a little to get it off his chest. It doesn't make him feel warmer, of course, but at least he shared his pain. That has to count for something, right?
He leaves the others to it, thinking that will be it, and that the thought of a hot shower after the shoot will be the only thing keeping him going today. But when their schedule finally starts, Sunwoo appears in front of him and shoves a grey bundle of fabric into his hands. He grumbles something about "can't let you freeze to death hyung I'm kinda warm anyways" and walks over to Haknyeon and Hyunjae who are standing on the other side of the room before Kevin has the chance to reply.
The grey bundle turns out to be the hoodie that Sunwoo was wearing earlier. Kevin looks over to him but Sunwoo - now only dressed in a simple black long sleeve - evades his gaze expertly. That has Kevin smiling despite himself, amused at Sunwoo's antics, and he puts on the hoodie. It still feels a little warm from having been worn all day and when he pulls up the hood for extra warmth and comfort he notices the familiar scent of Sunwoo's body wash and perfume clinging to the fabric. It's nice. Cozy. A little like an actual hug. He lets himself sink into the feeling, heart and body warmed by sentiment and an additional layer of clothing. Now the rest of this day can't be quite that bad anymore.
When they finally come home in the early morning hours, Kevin wins the race for the bathroom and takes his hot shower with a sense of triumph. He leaves the hoodie on Sunwoo's bed, but when he returns it has been placed on his instead. Sunwoo, of course, is nowhere to be seen. Apparently it's easier to play the brat than admit to be caring. Still, it makes Kevin feel incredibly fond. It also makes him feel other things perhaps, but he is just going to ignore that. And if he falls asleep with his mind still reeling over Sunwoo looking at his Instagram post in the car and mumbling "looks good on you too, hyung" with a faint blush on his cheeks, then that's just between him and himself and the hoodie he ends up wearing over his pyjamas.
